Alas. Now that the sign has been pushed back from the path by 1.5m (since a child fell off it and broke their leg), it is now incedibly obvious that someone is searching for a cache. Stealth requirements are so high that early morning is the only safe time. And to me that is not good enough. Before, if you knew where the cache was you gould grab it with slowing down your walk past. Now you have to climb on the back and get on your hands an knees. And there is no reason for someone to be on hte bank to start with.
No longer a suitable place for a cache, and the area is devoid of other suitable places. And only 53 finds,

Access to the cache has been restored, however even more stelth is required to retrieve it now . Migth be able to do something about that...
We visited the museum with our granddaughters yesterday - spent a lot of time in the absolutely fabulous children's play area. We reconnoitred the cache area, and realised we were going to look very suspicious clambering up there in daylight. As we were going to the Lone Star tonight, and as we had now worked out the hint, we decided to return in darkness. We initially lifted our 6 year old granddaughter and her 5 year old cousin up to search, but after they were unsuccessful, dared to search ourselves, but to no avail unfortunately.
Looks like renovations are happening. The cache location has been moved back (but I bet the cache is still there, so iv you want, have a go), probably to allow for lighting to be installed. This will make it much more obvious when you are retrieving the cache. Will re-assess and maybe move it once the renovations are complete.
Noticed in last night's paper that the place where the cache was located is undergoing some reconstruction and, consequently, the cache may no longer be available. Owner might like to check this out. [?]
On reflection I think I might have rushed this one due to over confidence of where it would be, I will return.
It was dark when we arrived, and not only was the area muggle free, but we got a park across the road.
Took a while to find, even without hindrance, as these nanos are tricky to find. In the end, with help from the hint, StreetWalker found it in a place I'm sure we had both previously searched.
TFTC.

#3695. 6ish on a Saturday night was a good time to grab this one. Luckily there were no muggles around, as it took us a wee while to locate it. Eventually my fingers brushed against it. TFTC.
thought we knew where to find it from the clue, so had quick checks in between muggles passing. It wasn't there, however it turned out to be nearby! Nice cache! TFTC
On a lunch stop on our way from Turangi to Wellington. Took a wander around the town square area after lunch and found this cache and the Rugby Museum. Muggle friend found the cache easily. We liked the cryptic hint - more like what we are used to from home.
Thanks Seagnoid for the cache and greetings from Western Australia [^]

Gonna have to invest in a pen that writes on this new log paper. Quick find during the day. Not to much muffled activity. Log marked in an attempt to sign. Tftc
Well, this cache hasn't been here that long, and look at the log count! Thought I should pay it a visit. Yup, dropped off a new log.
Oh rats. I guess a girl poking around @ 2am was a bit suspicious... a cop car drove in & asked what I was doing... *sigh*. I was a few meters from cache, so they wouldn't know where it is. But I did have to say I was geocaching. (Surprisingly they'd both heard of it).
*Groans* what a way to celebrate my 100th cache...
TFTC I've been passing it everyday for months & its always got muffled around & been driving me crazy. Lol, especially as Mr bumpyflea has been taunting me that he'd found it weeks ago

Visited at night so nobody would notice me note my name in the notebook. Nuff said!
Made a night-time visit to find the Heart of the Manawatu. Checked out a few places, and decided the most likely spot was a place we had already checked several times. Checked again, and there it was! Nice hide, thanks.

Mr G was making this one look difficult, what with trying to look inconspicous and dodging the early morning sprinkler, so Mrs G came to the rescue and put him out of his misery. Nice spot, TFTC

Was in Palmerston North for work and after a couple of meetings I had a meeting across the road from GZ and knew that there was a cache across the road. After finishing my meeting I thought that I would go and have another look to see if I could find this cache as I have being here before but last time as I was about to search for the cache a muggle turned up with thier little muggle and started running around on top by GZ, so that was the end of that. Returning to GZ today, it was totally deserted and after a quick search at GZ I managed to track down the cache quickly, I was lucky that I was carrying a caching tool as it would have being a lot harder to remove the logsheet otherwise. Another great spot for a cache, thanks for bringing me here, this spot is definitely full of a lot of history around here, I think that I need to come back here and explore the area a bit more. After arriving at GZ I had a good idea where cache would be using the hint but GPS had me about 8-10 meters away. Looked anyway and found. Signed log as KJ then replaced. TFTC
GPS died just as I got to the right spot. luckily i had a backup in cheetora who had already found it. had some amused looks as we started playing hotter/colder round the perimeter, didnt need too much help tho nice easy find! TFTC
Had a look at GZ earlier in the week and then returned today at a quieter time to retrieve the cache.
Had trouble getting a pen to work on the logsheet.
Thanks.

This is new since we were last here. Mr Daywalk started at one end, Mrs Daywalk at the other, and then the title made sense and we skipped to the heart of the matter. Came back the next day to see the Lynley Dodd exhibition!
Nothing the first time but got thinking and found the niffty hide the next time. Thanks
Quick find. I had read the hint while at home and at the time I wondered what significance it would have. At GZ we spent a minute or two walking around from lamp post to lamp post when the penny dropped....Nice.

After looking at the very interesting display on the Manawatu River in Te Manawa the cache was Neatly Nabbed by Cleo when Possum told her where to look. Since it was wet we retreated to the car to open the cache with much difficulty. Since we had brought tweezers we had no trouble getting the log out but we had trouble writing on it. TFTC
A drizzly kind of day to go hunting for caches. Kids enjoyed playing on the large sign outside and then the indoor play ground. TFTC!
Hint nicely nudged us in the right direction. Very fiddly managing the log, though. Nimble fingers needed! Thanks Seagnoid for the cache.
Down in Palmy for the day. Easy find after a bit of thought. This part of town has undergone a cool make-over since my last visit many years ago . TFTC
Had been contemplating a nano cache on the same structure myself, so as soon as it was published I knew where it would be. Had the granddaughters with us, so this made for a quick find without even turning the GPS on. Nicely themed Seagnoid - good one! We then went on to the popular childens' play area at Te Manawa which the girls thoroughly enjoyed.
Very happy to find this cache. Flat battery then flat tyre meant we could not do the shopping we had planned. Have been in the North Island since Saturday and this is the first cache found. Found without gps while car was at Tony's getting puncture repaired. Hint was of no help but now that I am at home it makes sense to me. Thanks for the cache and breaking the drought. Nice to find another one in the North Island.
The email arrived just as I was driving towards GZ so figured I'd stop then and get it. It took some time to get a space between the many people visiting but finally got a clear run. The GPS had me about 15m away from where the cache turned out to be, and after failing to find during a quick search the place got busy again. It wasn't until I returned to the car and re-read the hint that the penny dropped. Another short wait until a clear space and the cache was soon in hand. Nice hide, TFTC
Returned after dinner with Mrs Etherlord.
the GPSr put me right where my cellphone put me, so one up the the Nokia! ...but it still didn't deliver the goods
I prefer finding caches (or atleast trying to find) without using the hint, but this time I caved, and with excellent results.
I'm still frustrated that I missed the FTF, especially considering the hint was loaded in the GPX on my phone. congrats Ginarley!

The email arrived mid morning and I was holding out till my lunch break in the hope of logging my first FTF, but I left my GPSr at home today and my cell phone's internal GPS didn't deliver the goods
Will have to visit again!
