Logs
Over this way to collect a few caches and the walk was interesting - what an understatement! We had an 'adventure' trying to follow the very overgrown path but we walked around the whole lake and ticked it off! I had given up on this one, as it was not near my iphone coordinates and a previous logger had mentioned that the coordinates were spot on, so I only did a 5m radius. Fortunately my daughter-in-law had more sense - went further afield and found it. Another comment by supernanny was helpful.I will mention here - we had quite a job to find the entrance to the carpark - following google maps and turning off Collins Rd is the way to go - for future finders. TFTC
Coordinates spot on, had a peek at previous logs and photos to find this one. Hint: If you want it, look inside the bamboo.
This one took us a while to spot, some clever camouflage. We managed to get a little bit disorientated on the way back to the car as the path is very overgrown, if there at all. Tftc
Reading previous logs was helpful! All good here!
Road trip with Gorby for the "18th" Event in Hamilton. We had some time to pick up a few hides. This was one of them.
I`m logging this cache as my 10186 find.
TFTC novalightning!

I came down to Hamilton for a day of caching, meeting tramyard at his place in Auckland and leaving at 9:15am. We started at Hampton Downs and gradually worked ourselves south in his little green 4WD buggy. Later we will attend an event here in Hamilton.
Got to this one, the last around this lake. Bamboo? What bamboo.... no sign of it anywhere, so being perplexed, we looked at a previous log saying where we should look. No worries after that. Co-ordinates pretty spot on.

What an interesting place.
We had no idea the lake was here and were a little bit unsure as to how to access the area as the entry point looked very much like a private driveway.
Fortunately we investigated and were pleased to come across the carpark.
The track to the cache was mostly visible but a bit overgrown and we soon arrived at GZ.
The description needs a bit of updating as there is is no sign of any bamboo and we felt like we might be in the wrong place but were pleased to make a quick, and lucky, find.
Very nice camo.
TFTC.

Last visit down this way I ran out of time to do this wee lake.
Today I was in the company of KayGeeDee who was able to help me find my way round ; as the track is pretty overgrown for the most part!
Was pleased to find this cache at base of large post.
Cute camo ...in theme.

A bit short of time and nothing at GZ. After a PAF, cast my net wider. Very overgrown and about 5-6m from GZ. But still a good find. TFTC.
Trouvée rapidement grâce à la photo de RARae ! On a vu deux lapins se sauver ! Merci à l’owner pour cette belle cache astucieuse !
Took a stroll this afternoon collecting a few nearby caches, great to tick these off finally, last time I came in mid winter and the tracks were mostly underwater. TFTC. Poked my head into the nearby maimai too.
Another green secret pearl close to Hamilton. I had some time left before pick-up M14 from the Into Nature school. Heaps of birds and now one else! Cache was easy to find. Thanks for the cache.
Had these caches on my to do list for awhile but it took me a lot of time to suss out access and whether my swift would get me there. Today I put on my big pants and headed in. What a lovely area and I didn't even need my gumboots Got to the first GZ and with a little help even though I was standing right next to the cache - Thanks for the replacement Kay Gee Dee - Now off to the next one TFT
Find number 4189. Well not really but it is a smillie. I have been here a couple of times over the last couple of years but have had no luck finding this one. So back to have another look. In case I did not find I came with a replacement cache. After a good search of GZ I came up empty handed. I have therefore put the replacement in place. It is in keeping with the theme. Not sure exactly where previous was so may be a few metres out. But should be a relatively easy find. So happy caching again.
Didn't find this one unfortunately. No sign if any bamboo either. Will have to try again next time.
No panda lunch here at all today. Looked at the obvious places but nothing found. Perhaps it's in not such an obvious place...
Only second cache and this one tricked us. Will have to go back for another look
Out and about for a days caching in Hamilton with Trout-fly enabled us to find 50+ finds. Had a great time wandering around the lake collecting caches. No gumboots required today and Trout-fly couldn't resist checking out the maimai's.
Spent the day with Team Welsh and cruised around looking for caches to find. We didnt have a plan, and we were trying to avoid u-turns, but we still found a heap of caches. Thanks.
First day of the school holidays... Yet another mission to round up caches for the Geo License Challenge. With Gap (of Fap and Gap)...
The last on our swampland wander... The coordinates were bang on, making this a quick find. The log was just mush and had to be removed. I put in a dry piece of paper which should hold for the time being. TFTC.

4.40pm - Guessed what we were looking for but got fooled by location. Log a little wet. SLTFTC
This was our first find on an enjoyable walk around the lake today. Cool place and one we would never have found if not for the caches you have placed here. A well crafted hide. Thanks for taking the time to put it together, and for bringing us here.
Lots of Bamboo on the way to GZ, wondered how challenging this was going to be. Quick find at GZ. Thanks for a creative cache.
Was walking the dog round the lake and thought I would grab the geocoin to move it along
Nice and imaginative cache. Had a lot of fun finding it (apart from the ants!).
The coordinates might just need a tweak.

That's the great thing about geocaching. I had NO idea this lake was here and I've lived in town just down the road for 45yrs! Fun find, TFTC.
Nicely done with the extra twist of the log. I enjoyed my visit to the lake. SL TFTC
Ha ha. Thought we found it then kept looking. Very clever hide! Fav point given. Too small to leave trackables we had with us, but nice to take them visiting. Thanks for bringing us here - never knew it existed.
After walking past several massive piles of bamboo we were wondering if we should leave this one, but after over shooting the hide we soon found the prize bearable. TFTC - a nice bit of deception and worth a favourite.
Cache #2 for jillopy&return2nai and I. Another clever hiding spot, and another one for the favourites!
Being a panda I had to come and find this one. Enjoyed the whole trek around this until now unknown to me lake.TFTC
We arrived at this one last ... starting to get the hang of the sneaky hides! ... so it was a straightforward find. Must be said, though, a great effort in putting these 5 caches together - thanks!

Another very clever cache, well constructed but we were on to you very quickly. Thanks for an enjoyable find. Great day to be out and about strolling around the lake area. TFTC

Nice day for a walk. Quick find only to realise its not the log, but found the right one. TFTC.
Signed log and enjoyed the cache thoroughly. Continued on and walked the full loop, tying hard to still to the barely discernible track in places.
Decided to go for a walk around Lake Koromatua, collecting caches along the way. Would not have known about public access here if not for geocaching. When we reached GZ we found the container very quickly, but had to look a bit further before we could sign the log. Nice one, thanks.

Called in this evening after work with Mrs Zorgon and our two dogs. A very pleasant walk around the lake and we thoroughly enjoyed every cache. The Panda certainly caught us by surprise!
Many thanks
Many thanks
Found with the MCC's when out for a morning stroll. some get the obvious, others don't, but soon had in hand, TFTC
Nice walk around the lake with Cats&Dragons, we had gotten used to this kind of a hide after the complete circuit

We had great fun completing the series of caches around the lake. From the name of the cache, we thought we would be in for a long search but we were pleasantly surprised that it didn't take too long to find the cache. Another fun hide TFTC.

#2 find for the day. Yet another fantastic cache. A panda really would be in heaven here, along with a sneaky wee cache.
