I'm way too busy at the moment to fix this one, so it's off to archive heaven for for this cache.

Cache has been removed for maintenance, back as soon as I can fix it.

Nice idea. Needs maintenance

Quick find in a nice area - thankfully no spiders home today and we soon had the cache in hand. I do fear for the longevity of this one. It seems one of points of attachment has rotten away so the cache is only being supported by one side. The other side looks okay but not sure how long it will last. The log was also quite wet- added in another piece of paper. Might be worth a check up. Thanks for the cache and for the effort and imagination that went into creating something different Smile

Very creative enjoyed it, however it did house a large huntsmen TFTC

Today I was in Pemulwuy to complete the powertrail and decided to add this cache to my list for the day as it seemed there must be something really special about it to have so many favourite points.
Funny thing I started my working life only about a kilometre from here as the crow flies. It was very different in those days, just bushland and grazing paddocks so it was interesting to see the new developments around here.

The signs at the beginning of the walk were a bit off putting as I'd just had an encounter with a snake on Friday at the Mega event so I watched the ground like a hawk as I made my way off the path and over to GZ.
Initially I couldn't see anything but I was encouraged by the large number of small birds which were there, some coming within a metre of me. Small birds don't stick around if there's snakes so that meant I could stay and hunt. After a few minutes the camo was spotted and released.
Oh, no it wasn't! There's more to do.
A bit of work and the prize was released!
I signed the log and attempted to recapture the blighter. That took much more time than releasing it! Finally in place and the camo was refixed.

A great cache to end the day on! Razz Favourite point awarded, yep its something special.
TFTC # 2497, Streak day #132, 6/6 Smile today.

A beautiful day
We've taken a nice walk in this beautiful park in Pemulwuy today and have also found this cache with the labyrinth.
Unfortunately it seems like someone was quite upset about something here and tried to open this cache not really in a nice way.
Thank you for the nice cache.

On a walking your to collect a few caches in the area. I had intended my next stop to be a couple on the nearby power trail that were muggled when I was last over this way........until I saw a cache with 54 fav points , only a shirt detour away.

I changed direction and soon found myself at GZ.

I live a gadget cache and this one was very deserving of all its FP’s- I’ll add one to the tally too

Lots of fun TFTC

Visiting... again...

Located at 4:55pm. OCW Coastblue. This was the second of fifteen finds on this late afternoon and well into the evening adventure. This cache was on my hit list to log as well as The Nut Tree and 1905, all of which I logged in quick succession.

How to start...I’m making it a thing to go for all the variants of Rainbow Spirit caches, there are so many different types and none of them ever disappoint. I recently logged Over Here and before that 4,3,2,1 and both were rewarding experiences. Please Release Me as well fulfilled all expectations. Coastblue was visiting this cache for the third time so she stood back whilst I got to work. I started thinking of the song Tangled Up In Blue by Bob Dylan as I tussled with the device to extract my prize. A few movements here and some of this and some of that and cache was replaced in all its forms. You’re very quickly clearing me out of favourite points Rainbow Spirit, I’m four favourite points in arrears But that matters not, a favourite point is well deserved for this fun cache. Much obliged for the adventure. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!

Decided to give my numbers a bit of a boost to see if I can reach 2000 by the end of the year. Brought the bike with me on this boiling hot day. Took a detour from the nearby power trail to visit a couple of RS caches.

Once I spotted the cache, I knew this would be heaps of fun. Took me ages to release the first part and not quite so long for the second. Happy to have my name in the log. Another novel and well constructed cache.

Dropped in to the Prospect area to visit the Pemulwuy Power Trail and nearby caches.
Tally for the day, 23 finds and 2 DNFs.
- - -
After finishing the PPT, noticed there is a highly acclaimed Rainbow Spirit cache in the area. So came down to see what's generating the excitement.
Happily, Rainbow must not have been feeling too mean-Spirited with the construction as there didn't seem to be any dead-end traps in the labyrinth - the little blue beastie came straight out after a few manoeuvres.
The problem was, I let the line run to ground so had to re-cast it back up before re-hoisting. That took a lot longer than the actual find/retrieve/sign exercise. Sad
**A TOP FUN CACHE** ... please accept **YAFP** (yet another favourite point).

03-Nov-17
I'm not sure why every one has had drama on this but for me 3 shakes and out popped the little blue container. This find took me 5 mins to claim. Maybe the last finder helped out a fair bit because the blue thing was sit in the centre of the contraption. I've put lil blue back in the view finder for more of a challenge for next finder.
Good cache. Tftc. Fave point awarded...

Found it but unable to release the little blighter. It is blue, was in the starting paddock, but darned if I could entice it out.

This has been on the to do list for some time now. 30degs outside and I made the long trek to prospect. Not a human I. Short and very crunchy dry bush had the adrenalin priming and eyes scanning for Joe blakes out for a spring awake in Ng and tanning. Got to GZamd just 2 ft above me a tawny frogmouth oel flapped it's wings. First heart starter. Then I spied the cache and began releasing it. Cool!! Signed log and then had more difficulty putting it back. Had a quick look inside to find 2 unhappy huntsman being shamed and rolled whilst I returned to start position. The thought crossed my mind to just run away it that's not fair. Heart beating faster, getting frustrated and watching the hole for the cache guardians to appear. Seeing that blue builder in the window was my cue to hoist the sails and get out of there. Having that experience, it has to get a FP. TFTC.

A nice cycle to this cache. Now, no climbing! It took a minute or two to have the container in our hands. A bush tool was employed. Then Sue took over, I suppose she let Dan have all the fun at the Nut Tree cache. After several minutes the cache rolled out, more luck than class. Now, to return the cache to its original spot in the container. This took a few more minutes. Dan was itching to have a go, but wasn't allowed. Finally we had everything gack in the correct places. Thanks for this great cache.

First stop of the day. Had a bit of cache blindness and then had trouble obtaining the actual container. Once we had it in hand, the song "shake your booty"came to mind. The log was fairly dry even though it was submerged in water in it's home but we signed it nonetheless. Worthy of a favourite point! TFTC!

What a great idea! The huntsman spider mentioned in previous logs was still there and looked very displeased about the disturbance, but I managed to extract the cache, sign and replace without worrying it too much. This one's worth a favourite point.

20-Feb-17
Found and finally solved the puzzle. Took longer than it should have. Didn't disturbed the spider or the nearby 1mt black snake. Thanks for the cache.

With the Tom Jones song humming in my subconscious, I thought I had the release all worked out but that was just the easy part. After a while, the cache fell into my hand. I'm not sure how. I did the paperwork and then face the challenge to return it. It kept falling out, again and again. Then just as it magically released, it magically returned. Plenty of magic here so FP deserved. Thanks RS.

#864 my last one for the day with alnic39 after a day in the Shire this was a quick find and Al helped as I got the container. He decided to film the extraction but gave up after avshike as the first go ended up back where I started then a second go did about the same thing but the third go and it was in my hand. Signed the log & then tried to replace as found but that was as fun as the retrieval twice it ended up back in my hand but the third time I managed to be able to write that replaced as found. Then to put the container back as found which was a lot easier. Thanks for the cache Rainbow Spirit & I had a caching dolema there for a while if I couldn't replace tge cache as found. Log is signed as ADI aka AlphaDeltaIndigo
Geobuddy: pk1965

Being short, I'm a little slow to get to gz... Seeing that this cache had more than a few fps, I wasn't surprised when I heard Pk laugh out loud.. when I reached it, I chuckled too! Then I remembered that I'd seen this on JordsAu's snapchat last weekend and he had just found it!
It was fun to play around for a change!
Here's an FP for making it fun

caching with AlphaDeltaIndigo
4 of 12 finds today

We parked the car near by and started to walk down to gz. both phones had us going into opposite directions, but mine finally settled down, so i turned around and went the other way. A small geotrial was found as we got closer to gz. I saw something out of place so I examined it a bit closer... bingo there it is. ADI grabbed it to the the log out we signed it and it was my turn to put it back it.. The first attempt failed so I tried again.. yea!!! its back.. I replaced the cache and we headed on out way.

I was not sure how the weather would be today (after yesterday's miserable conditions) with a forecast of rain in the morning. When I woke up I looked outside the window and, while it was blowing a gale, the sun was shining and things were looking up. Considering this good fortune, I decided to venture out west to an event over in Merrylands and take the opportunity to find some caches in the area while I was there. Morry9 messaged saying he was keen to join me, so he drove over and we headed off together. We headed towards Merrylands and arrived in the area early, so we had plenty of time to attempt a few caches before the event, and found 'Childhood Memories #3', 'Water Towers #08 - Greystanes', 'Childhood Memories #2', 'Prickles' and 'Please Release Me'. All were fairly straightforward finds.

We arrived at the '1st Anniversary of Caching' Event Cache right on time. I enjoyed chatting with the regulars and meeting some new cachers. During the event, we ducked over to find ‘Little Oasis’, ‘Pinaroo’ and ‘The Bird Avery’, which were all located in the Central Gardens. Congratulations to wraacie (and also to Gaming Caving) on reaching your first year anniversary of geocaching!

I had to drop morry9 back because he had something on later in the day but met up with AlphaDeltaIndigo and pk1965 soon thereafter to start the afternoon shift. We started in Epping for another crack at 'Only the Beginning'. A pair of undercover cops, who had been called to check on the bus stop by a concerned neighbour, had interrupted my first attempt at this cache. This time it proved to be a much easier find and it was a good feeling to have finally reached the end. We continued to Carlingford, so AlphaDeltaIndigo and pk1965 could find the old school ‘Sydney Geocache Relocated’ and, on the way out, we stopped by the Murray Farm Scout Hall next door to find 'Hunting on Haines'. Intrigued by the high difficulty and terrain rating, we wanted to check out ‘Catch 22 #Brawn’ next and were able to muscle our way to complete this challenging hide. We then spotted a group of caches in Bidjigal Reserve and spent some time walking around (and negotiating a tricky creek crossing) to find ‘Alexandras Crashpad', 'Ted's Toybox' and 'Shape Confusion'.

While in Bidjigal Reserve, we noticed a few new geocaches had recently been published. Being a fair way away, I was not entirely confident we could reach them in time but we kept an eye on them nevertheless. Once we made it back to the car, we decided to head over to Rhodes where to new caches were hopefully still waiting for us when we arrived. At 'Become a Rhodes Scholar Part 2.', we bumped into RangerD and JoPS87 (nice to meet you both) and we eventually spotted something out of place, to make a joint First To Find. We then walked over to 'Become a Rhodes Scholar Part 1' together for a much easier hunt and claimed our second joint First To Find of the evening.

Thanks For The Caches to the respective Cache Owners.

Another very clever RS cache, located a bit lower than it should be. The log was quickly obtained, with Aries thankfully having a replacement log sheet available for the soaked log. The cache was then replaced at its correct altitude.

OCW delloro and Brewmaker today.
A clever RS cache (to be expected Smile) which had us intrigued as the the item rolled around. I think there might be a spider in there...maybe. I had a replacement log as the other one was unusable. TFTC Rainbow Spirit.

OCW delloro & aries44. Spotted this straight away when at GZ, maybe because it was not as high as it should have been. Once the cache was removed with some juggling, the log sheet was found to be soaked. Luckily A44 had a replacement, so all good for future finders. Replaced as it should have been - not low! Just can't get that Engelbert Humperdinck song out of my head! TFTC.

That was so cool. Was my great aunt's 90th across the road so thought I'd check out any nearby caches. 38 faves! So going there. Cache guardian? So taking cache_assassin with me so he can get attacked. Seemed to fluke the little cache quickly. Much more trouble getting it back. And since I didn't see the cache guardian you get a fave point!!

This was fun. Master Q wanted to walk though the woods so this seemed a good cache for that. We found it rather quickly and that's when the fun started. What a great idea, love the work that's gone into this. Half way trying to retrieve the cache I noticed 2 eyes looking at me. Ahhhhhhhh....... a big hairy spider made a home in the cache. I had to be very careful to only retrieve the container and not have this spider fall out or worse jump on me! After a bit I had CIH and could sign the log. Sigh of relief;) Now to place it all back. Luckily that went rather quick and the spider is still happy inside. Till the next cacher comes along; )

Favorite point for the cache:)

Excellent cache. Our first favourite for 2016! Found the outer container; the inner one not in sight. But we worked out what to do and out it came. Putting it back in place was more troublesome. At one point that cache guardian stuck two big hairy legs out but the container encouraged him to withdraw back inside. Finally got the little one where it could be seen. Then we positioned the big one a bit higher than where we found it. Great effort in putting this together, RS! SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

Found it, a great gadget released it. Could not sign as I was almost there when I realised I have forgotten a pen and I had walk all the way from great western hwy. I was not going back. I did put a little green leaf in the cache so may the next person can sign for me "wraacie 24/10". Now I put the cache back in it home but after 45 mins I could not get the little blue cache to appear in the window nor could I get it out again. Sorry. I had to leave I replaced it home correctly. Sorry I hope the next person has more luck. Now off to the cheeky monkeys.

13/09/15. 4:15 PM. Cache #2991. Streak day #448.
2nd of 2 this afternoon - Pendle Hill, Prospect and Pemulwuy.

After finding the recently relocated "William Lawson and Veteran Hall", I then headed up to "Owen's Views", but I was muggled out there by a group of guys who looked up to no good, so then continued south to this one. I parked in the recommended street and walked around the bike track; first squeezed under the gate before realising I was on the wrong side of the big fence, and then as soon as I got to the tree I had sight of the outer camo - it hadn't been put back to its proper height as per the hint.

I hadn't read previous logs about the cache guardian so got a massive surprise! I quickly worked out what had to be done to get the cache and so I did that cautiously. Once it was in hand, I opened up, signed the log and carefully replaced it (the guardian must be getting sick of getting bonked on the head all the time!) and then made sure the inner cache was moved to where it needs to be and then that the outer cache was also moved to the right spot. I then considered "1905" but I think it needs a bit more research before I give that a crack, so I left it at 2 for the day. TFTC.

Thanks RS, nice puzzle to increase the reward level.

Second cache find in a row with a big furry guardian...except this one wasn't a cat :/. Fabulously inventive & excellently constructed, can see why this cache has so many favourites, def should have another. Went to find this one to get myself the first souvenir of Geocaching Road Trip '15, and whao that was not what I was expecting! Fantastic cache, definitely gets an FP. Wading through the bushes was definitely worth it. Took a while to release the little sucker though! Had a spare blank logsheet in my pocket so I added it to the cache. And thanks for showing me this spot, awesome paths to skate one. TFTC!

We had seen pictures of this Cache and as we were in the area, we couldnt resist the temptation.
Enroute we encountered a Lazy Red Belly who wasnt going to let us go via our intended route.
So we circled around and disturbed Another Snake!!!!
They must be Breeding them down there........
After a bit of a walk around we pushed through the long grass and had the CIH..
Now to Extract the Good Bit!!!!!!
I wont go into detail about "2 to the Left".. "3 to the Right"Do the Hokey Pokey etc etc, but when the Rattle Stopped, I then had to do a "Ground Search""

I think I nearly died in the effort of getting to CZ for this cache! No snakes or spiders but OMG a massive black dog came bounding through the bushland towards me before his owner called him back! (I was >this< close to climbing the nearest tree in very unsuitable shoes.)

I nearly left immediately, shaken as I was but kept on and soon found GZ. TFTC loved it once I reached it and it's the first like it that I've found!

#1327 (3 of 7 today)

After watching the great Aussie first innings in the Boxing Day test some to an end, thought I'd better sneak out for a few caches.
Targeted Prospect & Pemulwuy, and came up with nothing but quick finds. Has to happen sometimes!

Another interesting Rainbow Spirit cache.
Wasn't sure which side of the fence the iPhone was pointing, but eventually decided it had to be the outside.
Made my way there, and looked around... Oh, is that it?

Retrieved and found yes it was. The only problem accessing the log was the Huntsman spider that has taken the role of cache guardian!

Finally got it, completed signing duties and replaced.

A favourite for another different concept.

After finding “Monitoring Well” I still had some time to kill before I had to be out west, so I drove over to Pemulwuy to attempt this one which sounded quite intriguing.

Despite the signs warning about snakes, I made my way to GZ and made a puzzling find. Upon closer inspection I determined what I needed to do and soon had CIH. Putting it back, however, took much longer.

The log is still a pulpy mess so I signed on a scrap of paper. Nicely done, thanks Rainbow Spirit.

Brilliant!! Initial reaction was"how am I supposed to get that?"........ Closer inspection showed how. Only one dead huntsman today. Lots of snake warning signs and I think I saw a brownish one curled up under a rock on my way back out!! Very ingenious. TFTC.

No spiders, echnidas or snakes this morning. An awesome hide unlike anything I've seen. On first looking at the perspex window i thought I needed a screwdriver .... then it dawned on me.

Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?"
