Took the wrong route to this one, ended up having a pleasant walk along a section of the outside of the sanctuary perimeter fence. Diverted through the trees when I got close and spotted the cache as I walked towards it. Signed log, replaced cache with a bit more cover, then out to the road and along it back to the vehicle. TFTC!
Pretty easy find. Nice clearing just off the road. Container was full of water unfortunately so can't log with pen.
Doing the Heritage Trail at twilight. Quite dark now and I broke out my headlamp to walk on down. Got in to the area and quickly found a suspicious item and there was the cache. Inside was wet, but the paper took a signature pretty nicely. Thanks for the hide!
At Shakespear Regional Park for AKSS rogaine. While kids were orienteering for 1 1/2 hours went to find a few caches. Wood had uncovered cache so easy to find. TFTC
Its been a while since we've been out on the Hibiscus Coast. Out with Helefant today, to make some finds. This one had us going for a while until we located the log book, have added it to a mint tin to preserve it. SL. TFTC.
We found it, so happy, it took a while (5 mins ) of searching.
Great hide!!!
Great hide!!!
My last one for the day. Found in a plastic bag only. It has been a lovely walk but I'm looking forward to sitting down . Thanks
Out for a days geocaching with SandersonHunters. Trying to find 24 caches in 24 hours. This was the seventeenth for the day. Thanks.
This was my last one for the day before it was time to head home after a very satisfying day geocaching in this great park. Cache needs a container as log only in a plastic bag. Sorry, I didnt have one with me.TFTC
The GPS bounced a bit under the tree cover, and I walked past the cache, it was only on the return journey that I spotted the hide. The cache log was very damp, and could not be signed. I have removed it, and thrown it away. I have replaced with a waterproof log, and plastic bag. Hopefully the next cacher will have no problems signing. Thanks for the series of caches you have hidden, its been a long, but very rewarding day. This park is just beautiful
Found the container and also found some welcome shade. It has been a great trail. TFTC
Today we decided to finally visit Shakspear Park and pick up the caches in the area. Took us awhile, as we intially headed the wrong way (theme for the day apparently??), and this took us a little while to spot the hide. Only a few more to go before we head onwards for the day! Thanks for the lovely trail of caches in this beautiful spot Team Welsh.
Another nice find. Very easy following instructions. Log roll is very wet and might need maintenance. TFTC
Nice quick find. Trying to get our numbers up to match last years effort. Getting closer to that target. TFTC
I visited this cache with a group of ten students and a muggle teacher from St John’s College in Hamilton as part of their camp week. Over four days and three nights we visited Orewa, Whangaparoa, Waiwera, Whangarei, Paihia, Waitangi and Russel. We generally signed the logs SJC GEO Camp to save each student needing to sign the log. The boys literally ran from Geocache to Geocache trying to beat each other to the find. By the second to last day they had all at least found one cache each. They all seemed to enjoy the experience and hopefully will decide to keep Geocaching as a consequence. We found a great variety of caches in some amazing spots. A huge thanks to all the CO’s for placing and maintaining all the caches we found.
I had hoped to visit this area with a similar group last year and was really happy to finally get here 12 month later. The CO actually recommended the area to me and its just what I was looking for-so thanks! Boys had no problems locating this one.

Nice easy find. Cache was open and log was wet. Bought a piece of paper, signed and used as log
Yay! Final find of the day goes to....mini geokid!! Just coz he wanted the last sweet! Log very wet but tried to sign. TFTC
Gps had us at the wrong tree and initially gave up because too many muggle's cars. Went back to our vehicle but were determined not to be beaten after such a successful day so went back and found it straight away - need fresh eyes sometimes. TFTC
Nice cache , at the end of the day with the car.. Cause we were across the fence with the lambs and sheeps!
You will probably need a proper crew it was very difficult and fun we left a branch across there for the next person good luck!
Out for a walk today and stopped to check most of the caches. All good here. Updated hint and cache name.
Yay - good couple of hours had, exercise got, fun with a friend ( who provided clues for the beginner child). Will definitely do this again - off to buy a smart ph now !! Thanks Mrs Welsh for introducing us to a great family activity that we all enjoy.
Found it. Took a little while to find it. But got there in the end. Added to log and added to our find.
Had a good hunt around but no luck
GPS was acting up under the trees, and with rain creeping in from the north we decided to skip this one and come back another day.

Last one of the day, all good here, thanks for the adventure today.
Cache name and hint may need upgrading as neither made much sense.

We were just about to give up and move on when our 5 year old grandson found it. He was so excited. Many thanks.
Greetings from Denmark
Our second last day on NZ.
We desided to have this walk. It was a very hot day and we looked forward to go back to the beach.
This was a very nice area and we had it all to our self. We saw a lot of parakites and R2D2-birds (don't know the name for them [;D])
Thanks for this very fine roundtrip in a great area.

Regardless of how long we looked, couldn't find this one. Item in the clue was not there.
This took us a bit of searching. Not sure if its hidden in the right place as we didn't see the stump, but found eventually, tftc
Spotted it laying out in the open. Signed log and tucked it in where I thiught it should be. Took a trip out here while our car was being serviced on a really hot sunny day. Thank goodness for the breeze up here. tftc
With Ostara74 in Australia for a while we had our annual holiday a bit closer to my home this year heading over the ditch to the land of the long white cloud for a few weeks exploring and of course hunting caches. We had a brilliant time visiting the many amazing sites New Zealand has to offer and finding heaps of awesome caches. We managed to squeeze in a road trip around the bottom of the south island, then a short week in Queenstown (even got two days skiing) and then a week relaxing north of Auckland with family and friends. This was cache find number 52 of 60. Thanks for the cache, Team Welsh.
I found this one together with Pathfinder24.
This is my second visit to New Zealand but the first time caching. In addition to enjoying the beautiful scenery we spent some time locating caches during our 3 weeks of holiday. After a week on the South Island, Pathfinder24 and I came back to the North Island for a last week’s stay here.
The cache was located after a short search. We signed the log and put the cache back in its place before we were on our way again.
Thanks for the cache Team Welsh! We really enjoyed caching in Shakespear Park

We camped for a couple of nights on the Whangaporara Peninsular, while we were there we saw killer whales come right into the harbour. A truely memorable moment.
All the caches we did were in amazing locations with fantastic views of the coastline & some withe viewscross to the Auckland skyline. All are worth a favourote point, I have only selected a few but if your cache does not receive one its not that its not as good as the rest.
Thanks for placing this cache Team Welsh
Out with a group of friends grabbing caches in Shakespeare Park today. What a glorious day for it.
Woo hoo! 650!!!!
Find #650. Thanks for the cache. 24/08/2014 17:16

Fun to sign a clean logbook. Took way longer than it should have. Eventually found near coordinates. Tftc
Replaced log book as comments were that it was wet. Please replace the lid tightly as this will prevent moisture getting in. Thanks
Quick find. TFTC. Nice trail with some lovely birds. Log was wet so added extra piece of paper.
