Geocaching - a fantastic way to start the school holidays. A fun afternoon with GraciesGPSfun. Nice to explore a different stretch of the TCCT. Easy find thanks, put in a new log.
A good stretch of the legs today walking from Kawakawa - well worth the trip. Unfortunately, we were uanble to sign the log as this was full. Thanks for placing caches along this route - we know how much work goes into placing and maintaining them.

After riding, and caching, the Okaihau - Kaikohe section of the trail a couple of days ago I just couldn't resist doing the same on the Kawakawa - Morewa section today. Got there to find that school was truely out - it was morning break! But this proved to be no problem as the closest pupils were over 50m away and out of sight. Time now to turn around and ride the 6.1kms back to Kawakawa.
Found as part of my Post Mega northen road trip. Really enjoyed a part of the country I hadn't seen before. Thanks to all those who have placed cacahes to encourage us southerners to come your way!
End of the ride for us. We found it and logged. Then we turned around and biked all the way back to Kawakawa. Cant wait for the TCCT to be finished:)
Caches outsides schools. A bit like kids palygrounds. The worry me searching for caches. This one however was well away from anywhere that people might notice you and there were no kids around. Thanks CHLYBN for getting us off the main road and stopping in a nice little town with a great cake shop.
This trail is one of the reasons for coming north.
Sorry, couldn't encourage safe cycling today as School was definitely out.

Yep - no school today - it being a Sunday!! All quiet at GZ so able to make find nice and quickly.

Located on a night caching mission while staying in the area for a conference for clients, great spot, just a short walk from the parking spot. TFTC

A couple of Aussies based in Paihia to spend a few days around the Bay of Islands area. A bit wet and getting wetter, but we got a few caches done and this was one of them. School was definitely 'in' today, there probably wouldn't even be an outside lunch break due to the wet weather.

Didn't know another section of the Twin Coast Cycle/ex-rail Trail had opened until your caches were published, so have been wanting to check out this stretch for a while. Today was the day and it was a perfect little legstretcher after the funrun in Paihia this morning.
Parked in Kawakawa & cycled to the Moerewa end and cached my way back.

Little Bro packed a sad [xx(] til dad fed him a muesli bar., he stayed at Pembroke crossing while the rest of us found this one. Now back to the bridge.... hope there's no muggles.

After a while of searching by Miss Geckoh she eventually gave up trying to find it without the hint, no sooner had she read the hint than she had the cache in hand. Nice cache to end, this section of the cycle track. TFTC

The year 7 and 8s went to technology at Moerewa today, so we managed to grab a couple of caches at lunchtime!
Enjoying caching on the Kawakawa cycleway today. Nice easy find for the last cache of this section of the cycleway. Wonder how long before the undeveloped next section is ready to cache

Nice wee change in scenery as had a nice lunch break in kawakawa and just had enough time to do a few more caches of this series for New Years eve. Happy New Year to you all.
