Today we were supposed to be climbing Mt Cameron but it was incredibly windy with rolling storms passing over the state so we canned that plan. Instead we headed to the coast and other than the massive winds it was a picture perfect day for caching. Had a packed lunch at Ansons causeway which is now underwater and the road closed. We encountered many downed trees but thankfully nothing too big that we couldnt drive around.Spotted an echidna, wombats and a huge sea Eagle today. I wasnt sure about walking to this one as a deluge of rain was imminent but husband persuaded me. Luckily I found the cache quickly, so much water here at the moment an absolute quagmire. TFTC robtas (RIP)

Heading off after doing some exploring in the area, so went in to get this one last cache. Was hoping to see some wildlife but nothing to be seen, apart from a fantail who was not happy with our presence for some reason - he kept swooping us! Eventually found the cache in an interesting location - the camo item has virtually rotted away but was still protecting the container. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for bringing us to this interesting location.

Dam, nearly missed it A peaceful walk to GZ listening to the birds and enjoying the fresh air. This one took me longer than what it should have, but it meant I got to enjoy my surroundings and check out the reedy pool of water nearby.TFTC robtasKeep smiling

This was the first of your caches robtas for the weekend and it was a nice little 500m wander to the Waterhole, while we didn't see any wildlife, there was plenty of water however the path in was really quite dry. This was our first cache find together for the weekend and I was on the board with an easy find at GZ.

TFTC was a quick grab. we were in and out quickly as we had thongs on and was worried about snakes. that being said if you walk up the bare sandy bit you will find a rough path to get you were you need so not full on scrub bashing luckily.

We are out and about exploring in the North East of Tasmania again today after staying in St Helens for the last two days. So much to see and do we are spoilt for choice. Of course our other aim for the day is to collect as many geocaches along the way as practical. Today we will reach an exciting milestone our 11000 cache and we are delighted to be finding it in Tassie.

This is ur ninth cache of the day. Like previous catchers we parked just off the main road and made the walk to gz on foot. The ground was very wet due to all the recent rains but we were able to zig zag and keep our feet relatively dry. When nearing gz it was hard to decide which was the best way in so we overshot at first but then doubled back. There were several different frog sounds at full volume which made it even more interesting. We were a bit mindful of snakes so did not linger in the shrub for too long. TFTC

Do we drive or walk? The legs, heart and head all had their own ideas but it was SSRs decision. We may have 'chickened out' on a few track this trip but, without recovery gear and a tow vehicle, it was the sensible idea.
It was a sloppy walk in across the grass but an enjoyable one. The weather was kind and we ate the distance up in no time. Stainless steel rat spotted the clever hide fairly quickly. After signing we went to look at the waterhole before heading back to the car.
Thanks for the cache.

We parked at the side of the 'road' and walked to this one, i did drive down it a bit but the smooth ground goose had seen was in fact water so I reversed up park the car and we walked along an ok but muddy track to GZ, it wasnt that far tbh and less than the signed 500m

Cache was a quick find and well hidden, thanks for the cache.

This weekend was meant to be a quick trip to the big island but with Gladys ruining that chance for everyone we came up with another plan and after a quick chat that Goose had never been to Musselroe Bay and i was more than happy to try and clean up the Northeast corner that is more than a days drive from home

Thanks for the cache.

Found this one out in the open, it looked like an animal had uncovered it. Returned it to its obvious spot and replaced the camo. I bet this place comes alive at night. TFTC!

We didn’t drive all the way but decided to walk! Nice and interesting area! The cache was found quickly and we tried to find a path as to not disturb any snakes!

Travelling around Australia and now in Tasmania! So exciting.

We headed across to explore St Helens, Mt William NP and Gladstone before completing a circuitous route back to Scottsdale.

The weather was sadly a bit against us. 2 days of showers which incorporated 58km on muddly limestone tracks so the GeoCruiser and Caravan were extremely grubby! But a beautiful part of Tasmania visited!

With a few caches found too. Razz

Parked up nearby with the caravan on tow as we left Stumpys campground. Mr Felix walked in to this cache. Cache was found in good condition.
