Logs
found with the group as we headed around town during our two day stay in Kaniva. Took a few minutes however all was good and the log soon signed. Thanks for bringing us here honeysucker...
Most of the gang had found this either on previous adventures to Kaniva or yesterday. It seemed I was the only one left to find it. I was grateful for their guidance - otherwise I may have been there for a long time! Thanks honeysucker and froghoppin
Here from Melbourne for a group assault on This is SA tomorrow and this was one found after dinner as I dragged a few out to see the Southern Lights. Got this one after a tricky retrieval and without a strong magnet, it's now not so easy for the next person too unfortunately. But we did see the lights as we finished logging the cache.
After a large parma for dinner at the pub, I was keen to go for a walk and explore the town a little bitMuzza kindly joined me and helped with some hints for this geocache as it was a bit harder at night to locate. Staying in this town, i ended up visiting this cache three times for others to also find it!afterwards we also went to see the beautiful mural nearby
Thank you for the hide. I did find it but came without a pen so I have marked it the best I could with a stick. We are on our way to SA for a holiday and stopped at the Silo Art.
Impossible not to find it with a hint like that! TNLN TFTC we are loving the sheep in town.
We visit Swan Hill, Mildura, Renmark, Barossa Valley, Victor Harbour, Tailem Bend and the last night at Ballarat. Stopped for few caches on the way. We had a lot of fun travelling these roads and seeing the farms and wildlife along the way. We found a range of caches. Many thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches.
Resorted to phone a friend for a hint Found by earthlight No lid on cache Tftc
Spent a solid 20 mins with myself and 2 littles and no luck. Had to be very cautious of muggles as area was taped off with orange flags...
Probed a few likely spots . Thought about returning to the car for a glove ( not so keen on spiders!) but having time restraints the driver was likely to suggest a return visit. Decided that was the better option. We will return. Loved the sheep nearby .
Found after completing the adventure lab site nearby. Tftc*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Found after a bit of searching, thanks to the hint. We are locals just starting caching!
We are on the way to Canberra for the MEGA Easter 2024 via Victoria. We stop for sightseeing and caches. We found this cache and signed the log.Tftc honeysucker and froghoppin
Now we are on the way to Canberra and pick up some more caches .Found the cache with TBU1BIKESU Tftc
As we drove into town the colourful silo art felt very welcoming. Then the lovely painted sheep everywhere added more colour. When we saw what awaited us at GZ we gave a big sigh then read your hint. That changed our mood back to happy. The hint narrowed our options greatly and we soon had the cache in hand. Log signed and replaced as found. Then we were off to discover more in this colourful town. Thank you for the cache and adding to our enjoyment of Kaniva.
The clue came in quite helpful for locating this one.Thanking you for the Traditional Cache that you placed honeysucker and froghoppin
Thanks so much for the hint this couldve taken me a very long time to find. Thank you honeysucker for placing and maintaining Kan i va Water tower for us to find today.
Adelaide Great Leap.Day # 1Heading West with +Wife and EveTheStaffy. On our way to The Great Leap Forward MEGA Event in Adelaide tomorrow. Thanks for the cache. Thankfully that was much easier than expected. Even in the dark.
#19197 - 12:52:00 PM; Day two of "The Great Leap Forward" road trip. A last minute change of plans due to my usual partner in crime becoming unavailable saw me heading off in the geomobile and not by air as previously arranged. After a night in Beaufort, I continued the journey west through Ararat, Great Western, Stawell, Dadswells Bridge, Horsham, Dimboola, Nhill and Kaniva, where I was joined by feathertop, before crossing the border into South Australia. It was then on to Bordertown, Keith and Murray Bridge, before returning to Tailem Bend and the accommodation followed an event to wrap up the daily mission. All caches were found in good condition and returned as found once the log was signed. Artillery pieces are not my favourite hiding spots, but managed a find here today without too much drama. Whew! TFTC honeysucker
TFTC! 26 February 2024 5:40:49pm 7349 thanks to honeysucker for the cache! On the way to Adelaide and a quick stop
A stopping point for us here in Kaniva. Lots of beautiful sheep nearby, so colourful. After looking at the beautiful animals nearby, we came to search for the Hide, and with a good hint we soon had our name added to the log. Thanks honeysucker and froghoppin Domsky
After doing Meningie parkrun, we headed halfway between Kaniva and Nhill to see our crazy running mate. He has run the length of NZ, Tassie and is now heading to Darwin. The hint was excellent but it took a minute or two to find it.honeysucker, I found Kan i va Water tower today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.* * * * * * *SAs Leap Year Event - GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Keep looking up!
Another one grabbed on the way through Kaniva. Eventually we may have collected them all. On our way to Bordertown tonight. And on to Bendigo and Sydney after that. Compliments of the Season
I love grain silos so Im happy to have seen this one.I dont have a good track record with these kind of caches but after much searching I finally managed to locate it. Log is getting full but signed the last page and got it replaced as found.Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the logbook nice and dry.Tftc
About to walk away as we HATE these gun ones and everyone had said how hard it was but then dada. TFTC
Was about to give up when we lucked upon it. Haven't had a lot of luck with these guns.
Surprisingly easy due to excellent hintThank you honeysucker and froghoppin for breaking up my long journey from Leongatha to Swan Reach to do the OYB series.
I am very familiar with these canons now, although this cache involved a lot more searching.
This was hard to find and I dont think I would have found it without the help of the crew I was with. Well done to Jayby
Travelling through with jcody and grabbing a couple of caches along the way.
Checked out the sheep, too, and took a walk around town.

Quick easy find with yummy az eats. Nice quiet park with cute sheep near by. Tftc

Needing a cache in this LGA we chose this one ??. So we looked and felt and looked again, then read through previous logs. With that new information we soon found it. TFTC
PS it was a fairly quick find for us as we have really bad luck at finding this type of hide.

I'd love to say Chookster and I found this one quickly but it was not to be. We stayed a little while, poked and prodded and crawled around and clambered over. This one can go on the "next time" list, as time got away and we still had a fair drive back to the Adelaide Hills.
Thanks for the hunt, it beat us this time but we'll be back!

Day 2 of our initial "grey Nomads" trip heading north for 4 months. Left Echuca yesterday, but the journey we took already had smilies from previous trips. We hadn't been this far west, and we wanted to tick off a couple of LGA's as well, as well as another point on the Silo Art AdLab. Camped at Beulah overnight and continuing on from there.
Have given these machines a pretty good feel around previously, and thought I knew exactly where it would be. Turns out I was right, but missed on first pass. Once exhausting other options, came back to this one for another smilie.

Passed through a few days ago, had a quick look, but didn’t spot it, on a bit of a time limit.
I had already given up and went to admire the Silo but thanks to the watchers of this Cache (who came to the rescue) and a small hint, we were able to sign the log

Heading to SA following the Rutherglen mega and mainly exploring places by way of ALs plus a few caches along the way. After time around the Mount Gambier area I will gradually make my way back home to the north coast of NSW. Thanks to all the COs for placing caches.
I came here some time last year and had a dnf looks like that rime it was missing this time I don’t know, most likely just super well hidden look everywhere for ages.
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 12271.
Today on my epic LGA trip through VIC and SA I covered just over 1000km and around 15 LGA’s. A cool silo, I normally hate these guns but spotted this one ok.
Thanks honeysucker for the cache.

Between showers of rain I tried locating this cache. It seemed it was wanting me to have a shower! After much poking and prodding I was able to put my fingers on it. You could say I “cleaned” this cache off my list.

Heading home from the Yorke Peninsula after finding 402 caches on the 12th with Dromaniax. LOts of travelling, time to stretch the legs. Then get a little frustrated, so amny spots to be hidden in, finally Eureka, we could stamp and move on.
Thanks for the cache honeysucker and froghoppin

JTreeTrack2 and Dromaniax were on the Yorke Peninsula for the long weekend, and after an epic day yesterday of over 400 caches, we were heading back home to Victoria.
What is a 10-hour drive without picking up a few caches? So we decided we would pick up caches that interested us on the way. We were looking for Large caches with plenty of favourite points that were old and were cache types we needed for challenges or just at a spot we chose to stop. Also, any that had a D/T rating that was helpful.
This was quite a difficult find. We spent ages then had that Homer Simpson moment that all geocachers feel from time to time. D'oh
This cache was found in excellent condition. Thank you for this Traditional cache honeysucker and froghoppin

Well there was an event I saw published in Bordertown hosted by Roaming Howie and since I was able to have 4 days off I decided to head over to attend the event and then to also do a few of the On Ya Bike series to finish off my D/T loop.
Throw a few oldies into the mix for my Ausmer grid and it was going to be a busy weekend with lots of Km’s.
So after attending the event, finding the ones required on the OYB series, surviving the heat then wind and having a good nights sleep last night today is a new day.
After checking my map I realised I had missed a challenge series yesterday so I came back up this way to find those ones.
I’m now heading back in the right direction with a few hours delay.
Collecting caches that I come past as I have a bit more time on my hands today.
A nicer day today with the heat turned down a bit.
Finally made it where I’m planing on staying the night.
Should have been a short drive from Tailem Bend but with all of the detours it was a long and fun day.
Checked out the great art close by and then went looking for this one.
I out did myself on this one as it was in the second place I looked which was very not like me.
Big things are continuing to happen! Are you joining the fun again in 2023?

Found while checking out the silo art! Glad Fore! had their gloves lots of nasties in the holes.
Found, although was a little put off by the two previous DNFs. Got it, though. Not sure if it’s cache creep or differing opinion about height (yes, I used the hint) but this one is just a little more aft than fore, if looking at the axle. It’s also perhaps a little higher.

Had a long look and banged my head a lot, but no find for me today. Gun caches are really difficult.
We had an unsuccessful look for this one on our way through town. Caches on guns can be so hard to find, they have so many nooks and crannies.
I have decided to come to Victoria and go to the Whittlesea Mega, I will be travelling with Azzo7777 and other great geocachers at the mega,

On our travels stopped to grab this cache and what a great spot, thought I was about to be muggles but thankfully to was another catcher after a quick chat the log was signed and we were on our way, thanks for placing this cache
Found while on a trip to Ballarat and beyond from Adelaide. The monkey was invited to the GF by her goal umpire brother who flew over. Her tix were going to be in excess of $800 so i offered to drive her over. As things do with 19yo, the car filled up with excited friends along for the ride. Hoping to grab a heap of LGAs, virtuals and letterboxes for challenges I’m working on.

On the way to SA following a bit of the Silo Trail, we stopped around the corner to admire the paintwork and then walked up to the cache. GMelb had a bit of a look whilst JMelb was taking photos of sheep. After a bit of a look we read the clue and soon after had the cache in hand.
