unfortunately this cache seems to have been muggled. since placing this cache i have moved to QLD so i am unable to check to be sure. going by the last log written it seems so. unfortunately i will have to disable this listing so nobody becomes inconvenienced to visit and be disapointed... sorry guys there isn't much i can do from up here.
Had the park to myself this morning, and walked straight up to GZ where, unfortunately, I found the item used to hold the cache container empty. Shame that so much effort has been put in.
Thanks anyway DropDeadFred

What a crafty little camo. found quickly but enjoyed all the same. Thanks for the hide. TNLNSL
5883 + 687 = 6570. Found on a wander around Melbourne during a long weekend visit.
With only a few muggles playing nearby this was a nice quick find which was nicely hidden. Thanks again DropDeadFred !!

Two muggle children but I was able to move far enough away for them not to be a problem. Nice park, nice tree. But the "log book" is a dog's breakfast and needs maintenance! Thanks DropDeadFred.
Suscoe's 11th find of todays trip to Melbourne.
Cache located quickly thankfully!
Signed and returned safely.
Thanks to DropDeadFred for bringing us here and for showing us this lovely little park and that remarkable peppercorn tree, dont see many that size!!!

Nice camo on this hide. With the place being completely deserted, there was no problem finding the clever container. After grabbing the cache I retired to the nearby bench to add my name to the log. Thanks again to DropDeadFred.
Made a quick find of a neatly hidden container before a small but significant herd of commuters came through the park. Smiled for the camera watching the nearby gate after replacing. Thanks.
This is a great tree in a very pleasant park. The cache was easily found, but I had to make my grab and replacement when a guy doing push ups over yonder wasn't looking. Thanks!
Great hide, very smart ! Also a great park. Found by Kaz on this one, his first find! I also put more paper in for others to write on very fun
Wow what an interesting and large tree in the park. Nice camo and nicley hid!
Had a young family spending some time at the swings and playground, but they did really seem to notice me.
So it was an easy find in the end! TCTF!

Found this one today. It was in the obvious hiding place but the camouflage was excellent on this cache - well done DropDeadFred. I took nothing, left nothing and signed log. Luckily it was drizzling and so I had the park to myself today. As I went back to the car a muggle was busy gardening but I don't think he saw the cache and maybe not even me as he was very intent on this activity rather than looking at what was happening around him. I will give this cache a favourite point for the excellent camouflage it had and I am logging this at the 650th log though it may not have been the 650th find as I am not logging the caches in order today.
Thanks for the cache DropDeadFred.

Find 400 at 23:39.
After spending a lot of time in the Bayside area recently, Burge and I decided it was time to head back around Melbourne's West (although by now we were starting to head further North) to pick up some of the newer caches in the area. We were targeting traditionals and this was find number 8 for the evening on a night that produced nearly as many DNF's as it did finds!
This was my 400th find and at this time of night the park was well and truly deserted. We looked at the hint and knew where to look straight away. Interestingly we spotted a camera on the nearby shed near GZ and were'nt too sure if it was there to look at this cache or not! Nevertheless we signed away and moved on to the next cache.
Thanks for the cache, DropDeadFred. You've been keeping us very busy tonight!

Extremely clever and cunning hiding spot. Favourite cache yet. Park was quite empty so not to many muggles to see you. Can't wait for next one. TFTC
Found on my weekly caching expedition by tram and shoe-leather through the suburbs. Today it was a train into the city, then a 57 tram to the Kensington/Ascot Vale area where a circuit on foot of about 12 caches awaited me before I took another 57 tram back into the city for dinner.
This one gets my cache-of-the-day award and a favorite from me for a creative container. Well done Fred!

A couple of teens making out on a nearby bench just after sunset meant that I had to return a little later after they'd gone home for dinner to scour gz. Lack of a writing stick prevented me from signing the log. But a terrific hide! tftc.
Came here once before and there where muggles everywhere. so we decided to come back today and no one around. While geowife and geokid where playing, geodad went looking and had cache in hand in no time TFTC nice sunny day.
I love the care and preparation that goes into these sorts of caches. The playground was full but luckily a major altercation arose from competing toddlers and it was all Mums on deck! It was a quick dive to the cache , log it , and stash it back. Thank goodness for caring mothers! Thanks and cheers !
With ProBleMatiKal. This would have been a bit harder if the cache was replaced the way it was meant. Still is an obvious hide to a cacher. TFTC.
On a nice sunny morning we had a little tie to kill so we found another of your caches. An easy find and the container was a good one.

24/06/2012 18:19 Had a nice lunch at Fairfield boathouse with Mr & Mrs Iamapom (Carl and Debbie) and then Carl and I were off for a spot off boxing to round out the afternoon, PERFECT!! Our last on this run. Went to the clue location and made the find of the well camoed micro. Adding a fave point as it was well executed. A great day for the final find. I got 11 and Carl 12 caches on this run. TFTC DropDeadFred TNLN SL
Found today with Landau351 on our "it is possible to cache in a Smart Car" Sunday afternoon jaunt around the inner city.
Was very dark when we reached here. So had to use torches. I found it quickly.
Very impressive hide technique. Hadn't seen this method before. Well done.
Worth a favourite point for the hide technique.

Never been in this suburb before - some lovely old brick houses. Gorgeous Melbourne winter's day - perfect for caching. No. 3 of 14 for the afternoon
I've had a cold for a week, and I'm just not shaking it, so today I decided to sleep in, work from home in the morning, and head out to do some messages in the afternoon. If I just 'happened' to be able to fit in a few caches with the messages, then that is just co-incidence.
My last cache for the evening, I figured the traffic was about as bad as it was going to get, so what difference would one more cache make to my travel time home. I grabbed the torch and found the cache with ease. As I was signing log, a train arrived and I had to have a bit of a sit, while all the passengers dispersed. Well done on the cache hide.
Thanks for the cache DropDeadFred.

Fantastic camouflage! B1 found without checking for cache and then assumed it was obvious, so left the task to B2. Not so obvious if you are too quick to look. Both of us impressed with the ingenuity of the hide. Thanks DropDeadFred for a well-hidden cache.
I wonder if the nearby house knows about it having 2 cameras pointed at it - tftc DropDeadFred.

The young'un was quite happy to play with the other kids in the playground while we waited for it to clear out. When the chance presented itself, the cache was quickly in hand.
Nice piece of camo, and a good setting for caching with kids.

I think it's lucky it hadn't been Muggled as I found a graffiti spray can hidden behind the cache.
Now in the bin.

So what to do in melbourne on a Friday night?? Grab a friend and go caching. RosePT83 who is new to caching joined me for these next few caches. this was a veryclever cache and I had it hand and went to put it back down when RosiPT83 said "There it is" A very clever cache in a nice little park. 3 kids were playing soccer but we were the furthest thngs from their mind and cache replaced without even a sideways glance. TFTC very clever

We arrived at the area with a mother and child in the playground, mother was just leaning on the rail looking at us arriving.
First thought was, now what do I do.
Surprise, surprise, they up and left straight away.
This resulted in a quick find, great cammo, I hope it stays there.

A beautiful autumn day, with a very quiet park. A short look at GZ and I soon had the well-built cache in hand. Cheers!
Had to look like I was inspecting the tree as there were a few playground players. Good hide and TFTC
One my own today while Mr works on a project. Parked nice and close and found there were family of mugglers in the park but this is a good plant that it is not near the play equipment. Good little hide and well placed. Nice and easy and I was soon on my way. Some days are better than others and this is turning out a better day for me.
Thanks for the cache.

Dropped into this nice little park on our way out of the city this afternoon. A few muggles playing on the equipment, but we were out of their sight.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
A pretty well constructed hide and we used maximum stealth here as the park had a couple of other users this Friday afternoon.

Another legendary night caching run with my best mate Marty (Quasar3671). It was a big night too starting in Ivanhoe through Doncaster, down to Clayton, across to Beaumaris, up through Ormond, Prahran and the city, Flemington, Pascoe Vale onto Airport West, Melbourne Airport and back through Broadmeadows before getting back to our accomodation at 6:00 am for a well deserved UDL or two and a few hours sleep. We completed our list of 30, and added a few more bring it to a total of 32 for the night.
This would be a nice playground to bring the kids to. Quick find on the cache. TFTC.

I headed out tonight to meet up with my best mate Marshy (Blacklegend) for another of our huge night caching runs. I had the list of caches we could do all ready to go and I was pretty dubious in thinking we'd complete the list as we hadn't completed a list for quite a while. As it turned out the weather was perfect and quite warm for the whole night and the night run went almost perfectly with only one DNF (a cache which now seems is MIA).
More importantly we actually completed the list and some; with a total of 32 finds for the night. With so many new caches around we had plenty to choose from. Got off the train to walk to my apartment, this was my nearest unfound cache so thought I'd better find it. Didn't take me long to find, just 1 couple in the park, busy running the energy out of their border collie.
Once a muggle left the park with there dog I had the area to myself. I found the cache but soon the dog behind the fence started to bark. Not long after the owner called the dog inside and I signed the log. I tried my best to not make any noise but the contents of the mint tin kept on rattling around. TFTC

Number 5 of 8 on my ride home from work tonight. I had to adopt the old "I'm just leaning my bike here and talking on the phone" trick - luckily it was a quick search for the cleverly camped cache. Well done and thanks DropDeadFred.
Brand new cache number 16 for the day now meeting up with kel 279 for some night caching
Found at 11.55am by Mrs 80 on one of our few remaining must cache days for the month. Took longer than should have - had touched the cache without realising. On looking more carefully the cache was revealed TFTC
Had to wait for a dog walking muggle to leave before heading to GZ and making the find at 2:45pm. Nicely hidden!

Arrived at GZ when suddenly....nothing happened!
The batteries had died in the GPSr!
Lucky I had a good idea where the cache could be and was soon signing the log.
I met a dog. Does that count?

interesting story, and no problems writing a long log, thats what the page is for. i hope that young max is ok. lucky that there was someone around too. im sure he will be back climbing trees again soon. i have a story too, it was 41 degrees when i placed this cache and exactly where it was going to be placed there was a poor little tabby kitten right at the spot,so i carried her home and fed some leftover xmas turkey and gave her a drink, and boy was she hungry too, man ive never seen such a little kitty wolf down food in such a hurry she nearly was choking! we nicknamed her Geo, but unfortunatley we couldn't keep her and so she went to the lost animal shelter in nth melb, being very cute, she will get a new home in no time flat.
Wow, this is turning out to be a cache with a bunch of stories tied to it! Good work with the kitten - too bad you couldn't keep Geo but yep, hopefully someone will give him/her a good home ASAP (if they haven't already).
{*FTF*} at 11:37, but not without a scary event - it's time for a story.
30m ... 25m ... 20m ... 15m ... 10m ... 6m ... ok so the location is looking pretty obvious to me. Now, where is the cache? Could it be here? Nope. What about ... *** LOUD CRACKING SOUND *** ... short pause ... *** VERY LOUD THUD *** ... what the hell was that noise? Sounds like it came from over there by the play area, I think. Ah well, can't see anything, back to looking for the cache.
What about that thing there ... *** LOUD SCREAMING *** Ok, this situation needs some investigation, obviously. Cache forgotten for now, it was time to look for the source of the screaming.
To summarise, the previously mentioned loud cracking sound, the minute's silence and the loud screaming turned out to be the noises you hear when a 9 year old child climbs a tree, stands on a branch, the branch breaks and he falls 5 metres to the ground, landing on his head. The minute's silence turned out to be the very scary lack of sound a child makes when he's unconscious for 60 seconds.
The next course of action was obvious - dial 000 (and to think I almost left my phone charging at home today). Thankfully the ambulance only took 5 minutes to arrive, during which time I was tasked with keeping young Max still and passing critical information back to the 000 operator. During this, Max's poor Mother was alerted to the situation and rushed over to comfort her son.
Yes, all this happened shortly before 11:37 a.m. today when I bagged the FTF. Max's condition turned out to be worthy of a trip to the hospital ... I'm sure all reading this are hoping he's OK and makes a full recovery.
Apologies for filling a log with this, DropDeadFred - hope you don't mind.
That story done, I really like this cache. It's simple without being lazy (like my hides are), well-hidden and a well thought-out method - I'll be clicking that favourite point link shortly.
TFTC DropDeadFred - great job.
