Spent some spare hours in Townsville at this amazing place
enjoying more palms than I knew existed.
Thanks a lot for leading me to this great collection!

Looked all over and got stabbed by the bushes several time and no luck. Potentially been removed?
Returned to this cache to retrieve the "Corikra's Toad Coin" TB to work out the puzzle & could not find the cache anywhere in sight! May have been muggled & it's a shame as there were another 3 TB's in the cache!

Was hoping to see some reptiles amongst the rocks but maybe next time. The wife is a birdwatcher so she was happy.

Unusual garden area, we enjoyed wandering around while looking for this easy cache. TFTC
Bloody hot. But very easy find, was quite exposed. I tried to hide it a bit more with some more rocks.
Cache was in the open so easy find. Now covered a little better in original place

This is my first cache find in Queensland!!
My grandad and I are here in Queensland for a nice week of holiday. Of course we are going to do some caching!
We parked at the Palmetum car park and wandered through the gardens while admiring the landscape. We arrived at GZ and started searching. It was very humid! I finally found the cache and signed the logbook, then replaced it.
Our thanks to leeandclare!

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there leeandclare. We found your cache "Palm Central" at 1:06:00 PM today.
This was our 2nd cache find in a caching run of 7 Finds & 1 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9731.)
[Blue]
Today's cache run was primarily to add to our current streak of "Most Consecutive Days" cached, (which has been going since New Years Day 2014.) Our route around the Palmetum and nearby River Walk took us to some wonderful & scenic locations.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: The log is full. Unfortunately we didn't have anything to replace it with.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.[font=Verdana]

In Townsville for a days shopping and just had to finish off with some caches. Had a great walk around these beautiful gardens. Dropped TB to continue its trip. TFTCSL
Last one for the day, found by geokids. Unable to sign log as it was full and I didn’t have another with me. Took horse, left shell necklace. TFTC.
Went walking through the Palmetum today with the family in the hope of finding a few caches. Came across this quite easily. Easy find with a nice hint.

Found this cache in the middle of prickle central. Nice find in a nice little park that we really enjoyed.

[u][blue]31 Days of Geocaching: [/blue][red]Day 21[/red][/u]
Day 21 of our 31 Days of Geocaching streak and another day where couldn't ride to or from work. Decided to call past the Palmetum instead and pick this one up. There was a dearth of muggles at this time of day so the search was quick and easy.
Log book is full and needs replacement

Thanks to geo-caching I would never have realised this part of the park existed, a lovely spot to visit. Dropped of my very first owned geo-coin, a pink travel heart....
Our second day out caching with pprass.
A nice park to walk around with friends. A quick find, signed and returned.
Thanks for the cache, leeandclare.

Found at 2:29 PM in the company of The Drovers GAFF1. There are so many different types of palms - just didn't realise it.
Thanks leeandclare.
Thanks leeandclare.
Prickly neighbors! No muggles to contend with today, the place was very quiet, and we watched the turtles for a while. BTW the two trackables are missing. TFTC!
Gotcha! Surprising how many big rocks there are in this rather large & interesting garden. TNLN, TFTC
#647 9th find of the day. As in my log for the cache The Palmetum (GC3BV0J), I didn't plan in looking for caches in this garden. It was an impromptu activity to go here and have lunch. A quick search of the caches nearby using my phone, I found The Palmetum and Palm Central which would likely be in the gardens. So I then searched for the caches. There was a sign that says the path is closed, however the other path that will also lead to the cache has no sign that says so. Spotted the 2 rocks and soon found the carefully placed smaller rocks that hides the cache. TFTC!
