Found as we headed home from our first visit to Stewart Island. Too many caches to find but this we stopped at. Quick find and sign after removing earwigs.Thanks.
Well, 2023 and Chrissy holiday over, heading back to ChCh from my old stomping ground in Lumsden. By myself. Perfect for some en route caches - till at least Clinton. See how I go from there.Nice and easy. Cheers!
With Mrs VDH56 doing the driving I was left to pick some caches to do on our way home from Invercargill, so this one seemed a good one to do and considering it hasn't been found in 7 months it was in great condition.
On a trip back from Invercargill with P&Vee and hubbies, picked up 5nag, stopped for this cache. Tftc

Cache 484 Coordinates are about 20m off on this cache but the hint is bang on, so nice easy find on this one. Log is a little damp but not wet other than that the cache is in great shape onwards I must go Dunedin waits for no one. T4TC
Found with StreetWalkerNZ as we slowly make our way north from Invercargill. We encountered a bit of rain in Gore, but luckily it cleared up and we were able to carry on caching .
A quick find with the hint, as my GPSr has GZ 20m away. TFTC.

Another one sorted along my way to Gore. Cheers.
Friday 13. Balcultha to Gore and back. Another long day with Gore on the agenda. But got sidetracked with back to basics with the ABC series. So lets hit the road!
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

It’s the start of our 6th and final week of our holiday in NZ and today we are travelling from Te Anau to Dunedin. Sadly, it was a chilly and often wet so we only stopped to find caches when the rain stopped! A nice quick find at GZ. It would be nice for the rail passengers to have the sign the other way round! SL. TFTC.
I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #536.
On the way home from sering my Niece get capped. Perfect end to a lovely weekend. TFTC
Last cache for this trip. Quick find. Not sure I would call it a regular size though. Didn't have a pen so took a picture of the log.

Visiting the far south for a few days, managed to get a few caches between the rain showers. Did a loop of Landslip Rd and Young Rd to look at the old farm, grabbed on the way back onto the main road.

A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 11 Gore to Dunedin 23 caches found. All good. Thank you for the placement

[A ripping start on a Saturday roadtrip. Muggle postman stop to chat while I cito'd, a good diversion tactic. Con now a 500ml sistema TFTC ] under some rocks at GL but needs more.
Found this cache in the drizzly rain. Joolay was driving and pulled up close by so we could jump out and make a quick grab. The countryside looked green - irrigated dairy country? TFTC SL
Out from Australia with Kittykatch and Smittengranny on a road trip to see beautiful scenery and grab some old caches. Quick pick up and happy its not raining. Cache in good condition. TFTC
Parked nearby with Joolay and Smittengranny and made our way to the nearby cache. Rainy day but it stopped for long enough to make the find without getting soaked. Having a great day and thanks for the cache
A train barrelled north from Pukerau, thought I'd grab this cache and wait for it and take its photo as i love all things Trains. A quick find as the long grass as since been sprayed. Waited a few more minutes, realizing train is sadly long gone. Maybe it was traveling faster than i thought.
What a scorcher of a day today! A perfect caching day, if this is our summer bring it on! TFTC

A week away down south and a chance for some caching. Was a nice and easy find this with the hopes of lots more. TFTC
A quick cache and dash whilst passing. A long freight train went past just as we left here. Out caching with Will of the Wisp on our “Round the World in 80 Days” trip to celebrate retirement. Signing logs with our names or initials depending on space. Greetings from England, TFTC.
The hint certainly made the hunt a lot easier than it would have been if just using the GPSr.
Quick find on today's geocaching mission. I feel like we are filling someone around... Who else was geocaching around here today??
Day three of my long, long weekend in Otago and Southland and I’m loving every moment of it. Woke this morning in my Airbnb in Winton to the sound of rain so I was a little downcast thinking I was back to wet shoes and socks for the day. However, my fears were misjudged as the day was crisp and clear. Left Winton with a good impression and more than I arrived (pre-arrival all I knew that the only woman hanged in New Zealand, Minnie Dean, came from here).
Heading through Gore now after a short trip to Invercargill and Bluff. A quick find here so I could get on my way towards Dunedin. TFTC

Found alongside Hevic on the way back from our Fiordland trip. The coordinates are a little off - I went to the coordinates but Hevic went to the more logical spot, and guess who came up trumps... no, I'm not bitter at all A nifty little find though, and a great driveby for the last little leg of our four-day journey. Cheers!
I added a bit of geocaching to make my trip from Dunedin to Bluff a bit more interesting. Thanks.
A quick find while cruising around Southland today. An interesting piece of history. All in order. TFTC
A quick stop, no trains today. Cheers.
Last day our Easter holiday to Invercargill. Time for the trek home...
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

We managed to park between SH1 and the Main trunk Line and walked over to GZ. Quickly spotted the cache and we were back on our way. Thanks.
Stopped at the siding and found the cache in good undisturbed spot. The new grass paddocks on the leased land is coming away. We SL and checked over the goodies in there. TFTC Riseland.
We started geocaching on 01 January 2016 and we are on a trip, going back where it all started, planning on 500 caches for the year.
