Walking briskly at this point in our coastal series walk, so as to beat the sunset. Quick find here, while a nearby muggle put on an absolute performance at the outdoor gym equipment. TFTC

Nice cache along this beautiful part. Great breakky stop down at the posted co-ords. Thanks for taking us along this section of the coastal walk.

17-Jul-24
Quick find after obtaining the necessary info. Love the beach, love the area. A balmy 18 degrees today which is far better than the 11 degrees back home in Vic! TFTC

Staying close by. Resolved the coordinates while walking to. The river and found on the way back.Took the TB.In Port Macquarie again, this time for a week. A few new caches have appeared since last time I was here and quite a few I missed.LHBfans, I found Coastal Walk #5: Flynns and Rocky Beaches today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

08-Mar-24
Today we started at Brooms Head and drove along the M1/A1 southbound to Port Macquarie (with a nice stop at the Wharf Street Caf at Nambucca Heads ).After arriving we had a short walk along the coastal path and had a refreshing beer at the Sandbox at Flynns Beach. On the terrace we found out that there was a cache - even a multi - exactly here. Point 1 and 2 where found rather quickly (although the coordinates where not 100% precise, but good enough), and after a quick calculation and a short walk we were standing directly in front of a promising tree. We quickly found the suspicious branch and the box. Logbook is in good condition. Finally a box that is big enough for my TB. Good journey further on. Thanks for the nice little challenge. I'd like to leave a here.TFTCacheld

Thanks for the cache. A delightful walk around Port. This series is a must.

20-Jan-22
TFTC. I logged the log that was in the log. I was almost feeling blue when I first got in there as I couldn’t see any half logs then my trusty eyes spotted it. However, it was full of ants and I did get bitten while signing it. I’m visiting from the Hunter Valley.

Another beautiful day for geocaching around beautiful Port Macquarie. Great little spot, great cache. TFTC,

This took a little finding. TFTC

30-Sep-20
On a previous day I had started collecting the info for this cache, but was thwarted at the next waypoint. I couldn't find anything there. I thought I had messed up some calcs, but later in the evening I realised that the cache I had loaded on my GPSr was an old version and things had been updated since then. So that first attempt went by the wayside.

Today things went a lot better, and I had my GZ plotted quite quickly. However, the search for the hiding spot was a bit more challenging, and I had to try approaching from several directions before I made the find. Glad I did, though. And perhaps a good thing I wasn't looking the other day -- there were lots of muggles about then. Today, the blustery conditions probably made it less inviting for them to be out.

All is well. My name is in the log. Now I have to look to see how many sections of the coastal walk remain for a future visit to Port Macquarie.

19-Aug-20
Dropped my daughter down to Flynn’s for a surf and made my way around the waypoints. After crunching the numbers I arrived at another of our spectacular whale watching locations. Made a quick find due to coordinates being spot on. Thanks LHBfans!

15-Jul-20
Found with GrimRaider on a drive up the north coast of NSW. I enjoyed the beach views at starting coords and the walk along the track. Had to widen my search to make the find but coords were good.

Condition Report:. Good and dry
Log Status:. Lots of room

Thanks for hiding this cache LHBfans

12-Jul-20
Checked today. Still there.

07-Jul-20
Sadly another DNF for me. My coordinates had me deep in the bushes with logs everywhere and no sign of a cache. For the D/T rating to be true perhaps and more explicit hint is required.

30-Jun-20
Got the information and arrived at a GZ that made sense, but no find after quite a hunt with SJG66...

30-Jun-20
No luck on finding this one at GZ

06-Jun-20
Worked out final coordinates easily enough, but took a couple of visits to locate the cache. Literally stumbled across it!! tftc.

Heading home today - we had a great weekend in Port Macquarie, managing about 40 finds in between various touristy type stuff. We've been very impressed with the area and the overall quality of the caches here, you should all be proud.
I've been walking up and down this stretch of the Coastal walk every morning and afternoon, so have been gathering waypoint information for quicker finds with the kids on our travels. Its a lovely area down on Flynns Beach, next time we'll come down here for a breakfast I think. We did the precipitous 'walk' down to Rocky Beach for the EarthCache before, and enjoyed it, I'll leave the kids at the top next time! Today at GZ we made a quick find, coords were very good, and the cache is clearly well maintained - thanks very much. +1 FP......

15-Jan-20
Checked today. All good.

13-Nov-19
On holidays from Brisbane and my muggle husband had work to do so he dropped me at the koala hospital and I enjoyed a nice walk to here. I gathered the info and checked and double checked before I headed to gz. At first I thought I might have got gz wrong but then I spotted this crafty cache. Thanks for all the fun

20-Jan-19
I did a maintenance run today. All good here.

27-Dec-18
Spent a while searching but couldn't locate the cache. Will have to come back to get this one.

Found the clues, and crunched the numbers, then off we went. Too come for muggles to be using the apparatus nearby, so we split up and searched. Took a little while, bit then spotted something that didn't look right, and there it was.

20-May-18
Found it yay!

01-Feb-18
As we had completed all the Coastal Walk caches last visit except for 1,5 & 9
we wanted to completed the series this trip.
Gathered the info for this cache last visit but didn't complete it. We had enjoyed all the walks so thanks to the CO for a great series of caches.

14-Jan-18
We have travelled up from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Port Macquarie for our annual summer holiday, camping in our Jayco Swan Outback camper trailer at the Breakwall (Sundowner) Holiday Park. Today we decided to do some caching along the coastal strip starting at Shelly Beach and working our way Northward to Oxley Beach. This was our 10th find of the day, and 21st find of the holiday.

While at a very windy Flynns Beach we tracked down the required info at WP1, then with a "thirst" for another find we drove up to WP2 and "quenched our thirst" with the info that we found at that location. Then, after doing a few calculations, we headed off to final GZ where we made a nice quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC LHBfans.

A very time consuming but so worth the effort.. thanks

Quick find before day 3 of FOTSUN! As i was staying near here decided that it would be a good one to get as i didn't get too many multis this year. Tftc!!! #1160

02-Nov-17
Yesterday we have been already to the lighthouse and we noticed the signs for the Coastal Walk. Today we came down with public transport and left the car in the northern part of town. We walked all the way and had a lot fun with many Multi Caches. This was one of them.
To get all information was the easy part but to find the container was a hard nut. The hint gave us an idea what we are looking for. Finally we found it with luck!
Thanks for showing. Tftc

27-Aug-17
Quick find was had at GZ. TFTC.

25-Aug-17
At long last!!
What a marathon, finding clues, checking clues, searching, going back and redoing everything, searching again. In the end it was nowhere near as hard as we made it. We had it correct the first time. And then Mr SKI is certain he picked it up and discarded it yesterday. It certainly pays to look carefully the first time to save you needing to do all the rechecking and looking.
TFTC we think!

15-Aug-17
Figured out the co-ords required and off I go...got near the GZ and had to wait for some muggles to go. With only one muggle left using the exercise equipment nearby (and really only interested in himself by the amount of grunting) the searching began. Found it after about 5 mins searching, signed...happy days. TFTC.

27-Apr-17
I checked the cache again today and changed the way points to avoid any confusion down at the surf club. All good.

24-Apr-17
ok after about 6 visits to GZ and chats with CO and lots of clues given to us (thanks LHBfans), we found this one today. Bought Geo son who seems to find caches very easily to search today. I had all the clues (well answers really) so we arrived to a muggle free area- not an easy task here, then set out to find this illusive cache. I worked one end and son worked the other focusing on finding the item we seeked. suddenly I found it off a bit and slightly obscured- yay!! finally. Signed, returned and headed for the car, just as muggles arrived. Guess we were lucky today, and determined. Thanks LHBfans for the tricky hide, hints and info along the way to finding this cache.

10-Apr-17
It's there alright. Checked this morning. It is rather well hidden but what you're looking for looks different to everything around it. Good luck.

25-Mar-17
After getting some info from a friend we were able to find GZ (something we did last August when visiting the area before moving here). Both last year and this time our search at GZ came up empty. We focused on the hint, but couldn't locate anything resembling the item. When you return from travelling, maybe a look at GZ would be helpful too (at least to me!!) and I may be able to finally knock this DNF off my list. Many thanks LHB fans

17-Mar-17
Phone number is not accessible. Area is fenced off completely. Cannot get close enough to even see the number from the fence.

17-Mar-17
We are travelling at the moment. Will check out at end March by which time the fencing may well be removed. In case of need, the number can be found on any number of similar devices along the walk.

29-Oct-16
On here up on holiday and i was staying nearby. i managed to get the afternoon by myself to do some of the many multis along the coastal walk. this was the third of the day. i had collected the information on a previous days walk and calculated the final back at the accommodation that night. Approaching GZ there were a a few people about watching a paraglider. thankfully it was a quick find and there was enough vegetation to hide behind for me to grab and sign without being spotted. TFTC

Another nice day for a drive around Port Mac looking for caches.
I struggled with this one last year and finally got to tick it off the list.
Thanks for the cache LHBfans,

14-Aug-16
Well that lead us a merry dance! Got the coords with the usual but of LHBfans mental gymnastics but then at GZ were all over the place, up, down, round and round. Had messaged the CO and emerged into the light to let the GPS reset to find us being pointed into yet another direction and bang, cache in hand. I guess this CO does owe us a couple of good scratches....
TFTC.

31-Jul-16
We did a maintenance run along the Coastal Walk series today. All good here.

29-Mar-16
TFTC, great spot and less than 1 km from home. Now I know why I got knocked back from having a cache here.

06-Mar-16
In Port Macquarie for a week's R&R and taking the opportunity to get a few caches as I move about. Got the info I needed from the surf club easily enough on my first morning in town (it's the closest cache to where we are staying) but I had to google the dates of office of the the tribute giver as the date on the plaque is becoming a bit indistinct.

I headed to GZ today and took in the wonderful view out to sea, and enjoyed watching the yachties doing their zigs and zags out there for a while. But then it was down to business. My phone GPS pointed me to where I had to go, but when I got there, it still took a few minutes before I was able to spot the well camoed hide ... I must admit I did take advantage of the hint and it helped, but not much as I hoped because I think I took it a little too literally.

Thanks for a nice multi LHBfans, and for the smiley too.

26-Feb-16
not this time

26-Feb-16
Grrr. No find. Coordinates are correct. 2nd attempt.

07-Nov-15
Finally got this one. No wonder I couldn't find it last time. The rain had made this cache look like part of the scenery.

07-Nov-15
Haha, while Team Nurse did all the leg work and working out coords, I was nowhere to be seen, come the day of the find of the final resting place and yep, here I am, lol... TFTC

07-Nov-15
Great cache , no wonder I couldn't find it in the rain lol blended in well . TFTC

03-Nov-15
No glory today. Got very wet looking for this one. But alas just couldn't come up with the goods. GPS was sending me down a very steep looking hill? am I right?

21-Aug-15
Thanks to the four previous cachers who pointed out access problems during construction of a concrete upper deck at the Flynns Beach Surf Life Saving Club. I was away from home for several weeks and could only check it out yesterday on my return. Happy to report that the work is now finished and the details needed to complete the calculations are fully accessible again.

19-Jul-15
The GZ for WP1 where you collect the clues, leads you right next to the construction fence, basically ontop of it. I had a good look around but couldn't find the answer to the first question....

I gave up and moved on, cache owner might want to check that the clues are still accessible even with the construction site and fenced off area.

15-Jul-15
Can't find the date to solve the final location. I suspect it is where the construction site has blocked access. Will try again next time we are visiting town.

02-Jul-15
Aaarrgh! Either I'm having a massive blonde moment or this one is tricky! There are construction works happening, so I'm not sure if that's affecting it? I'll try again another day with a fresh head lol

04-May-15
TFTC. Nice little walk from Nobby's.

03-May-15
I was staying quite close to Flynn's Beach and found this cache was quite close. I was also interested in the farsighted history of the Life Saving Club that was in the description too. I found all the clues and checked my sums but unfortunately could not locate the cache. I may get to try again before we leave.

30-Apr-15
We were lucky enough to spend a few weeks in Port Macquarie and managed to make our way along the coastal walk. The day was a little wet and windy, however there were still plenty of people about due to the ironman event which was to be held on the weekend. The cache was found easily enough and our name added to the log. Thank you for having placed the cache series LHBfans

26-Apr-15
Health check today; all OK and log placed into Ziplock bag. Trackable in place and some very junky "swaps" discarded.

13-Apr-15
No luck
