Was in the area collecting a recently published cache with the CO of this one.
Continued the walk along to this cache to see if it was still there, which it was. Co has now permanently removed.
Nice area I would never had known about were it not for geocaching.

Well, Pigs'o' fury (snr) did if I'm being strictly honest - I overlooked one obvious possibility! n.b. there is a rabbit (?) hole nearby - the cache isn't in there, but make sure you don't catch your foot in it. TFTC
Find #1599. Another lovely Sunday to go cycle caching so back to Waikanae to clear up some multis and others that I've missed. Cycling made short work of reaching this one at the far end of the lake, so quickly found and signed. TFTC
Nice stroll with the family from the park to GZ. TFTC.
Logbook will need to be replaced soon due to water damage.

A very nicely landscaped area, and a great wee playground as well. StreetWalker tried out the flying fox while we were there and gave it the thumbs up.
Cache took a bit longer to find than it should have but once we realised we were looking for a micro, StreetWalker tracked it down.
Thanks for bringing me here.

#5979. Our first visit to this area, and it is a pleasant spot. They are making a good job of landscaping this area. A few families were in the park, but well away from GZ. By the time we got back from finding the cache the park was deserted. The flying fox looked like it didn't have much of a fall, but it worked surprisingly well. TFTC.
Lots of ducks and geese about, but no muggles fortunately. A nice easy stroll and cache was found after checking out a couple of options.

Lots of muggles in the area doing planting. They may go all the way to the cache with their digging. Quick find that went unnoticed. TFTC!!
Must be blind. Had no luck but will try again another day. Nice reserve with new playground. Kids have done planting there a few times with school, but was my first visit.
Second attempt, first time there was a workman watching me! Thanks, swapped out marble and swapped in a couple of mini flowers
Loved this cache, second attempt and the kids and I were determined to find it... Funnily enough we looked where we looked last time. It wasn't there last time and guess what, it wasn't there this time. A moment of inspiration a KABOOM. There it was. TFTC
9.30am. Nice walk to GZ. Decided not to have a swim! Not too long to find.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Like everyone else I checked the obvious place first and, like everyone else didn't find it. Found after waay too long a search. All the swans complaing about me intruding on their space probably contributed, but they quitened down eventually once they realised I didn't want to get my feet wet. Grass is impressive - large patches of red do to a weed with 1mm red flowers. Pretty cool.
Like TuisReturn, Netty and I initially overlooked the "obvious" hiding place but soon returned to it.
This was a nice place to visit and I am surprised more cachers have not been here. The local wildlife seemed happy to have our company today.

It's one of those Geo days when it was best to go to work! Arrived at parking & decided this looked like a nice spot for a late brunch. Arrived at gz, lots of swans & ducks to enjoy. Searched for cache for 10mins in a likely place however overlooked the obvious easy spot! Sat down to enjoy my muesli & fruit to find id left my spoon on the bench at home! A quiet spot tftc!!
Found it on a family trip with tu2tracker, speedy12 and Dunc_nz. A huge argument ensued about who actually found it tu2tracker or Dunc_NZ
Good hide, found with my son and grandsons. We enjoyed the bird life, especially the black swans
Thanks
Thanks
Kids and I searched for 20 min but couldn't find cache. Checked hint afterwards and we were in the right place... A nice day and refreshing walk
APRIL FOOLS! Been meaning to visit here for a while now. In fact, was hoping to place a cache here for a while, but got beaten by Tmann421. Still plenty of options though... It's a nice place to wander. TFTC.
A nice pleasant stroll on a warm afternoon. Just me and a twitcher here this afternoon, he was dressed from head to foot in camo, and had the longest lens I've ever seen. Thankfully he was far enough away for me to find the cache unobserved. SL TFTC
Was in Kapiti early this morning and decided to grab a few caches between my meetings, saw this cache and new about this reserve but this was the first time that I have ever had the opportunity to visit this spot. Managed to find a carpark at the main entrance out of the way of the gate so that if the workers that were doing something in the distance needed to go in and out I wasnt going to be in thier way. Arriving near GZ it really didn't take too long for me to work out where the cache was hidden, but I decided to take a few seconds just to relax and enjoy the bird life that was around GZ, what a great spot for a cache, thanks for placing it here and for bringing me to this lovely little area, TFTC TNLNSL (4152)
This quick find makes number 50 for us all by walking or biking! Will see if we can make it to 100 before taking the car specifically for geocaching.
I tried to do this one earlier this week but there was a group of people working here, so I came back today and had the area to myself. TFTC tmann421
A quick find while in the area this afternoon. Seeing these ponds unused sparked my interest and I read up on how the area's wastewater is now treated - a pretty good system. Signed log, TFTC!
#2667. FTF @ 20:10. Good walk to GZ still in day-light. Agreed you wouldn't want to come in the dark. TNLNSL. TFTC.
