Found with Joolay on our way home from the coast collecting a few local caches. Needed some help with bridge 4 and Cache found wet and slimy. Tftc
Found with GrimRaider, after meeting up with Joolay and barb2e on a trip to Merimbula to attend a CC Event. Thanks for hiding this cache noikmeister
Worked this out and keen to pick up today. After some calculation issues managed to work out. Cache in terrible condition and CO requested us to remove. KK arrived just in time.
Visiting the coast for events and a few caches with barb2e and Kittykatch. Weather is fabulous.
Thanks For getting me out and about noikmeister

With the Canberra Day Long Weekend upon us, the FFLL ladies and I usually take off towards SA or the likes for some caching, however with the unpredictability of COVID on the borders, we decided we would try for something a little closer to home. We decided that we would come down and have a crack at the VB trail around Eden and Merimbula. It was a great weekend away with both the FFLL ladies and it was nice to see the ocean and get some sun on our faces.
Collecting smileys along the way to the coast, this was our next en route. We have worked on this multi over a few visits, each time we passed through, we would visit a different WP and gather the required information. We finally went to the last WP and had a calculated GZ to which we went to today. Cache was located and happy to report cache is in good condition. Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the multi and cache placement Noikmeister and thanks for the wonderful weekend away FFLL ladies Always enjoyable and always something to look forward to.

The Canberra day long weekend falls on the first weekend in March so we usually take this time to head out of town. So this year, the caching troupe of us and Rapidlywild decided to head to the Merimbula / Eden coastline to collect a few smiley's.
Our travels took us through this way, so we decided to stop and collect those along our path.
We had meandered around this area on other occasions, but ran out of time to collect the details from the last couple of waypoints.
It is great to finally get this one off the to finish list.
A quick find at GZ, cache was in good condition.
Thanks for the placement and enjoyable multi Noikmeister.

F(H)ound it! #2939 @ 10:35 AM
I had a nice meander around the bridges of Bemboka way back in June. It was a pleasant drive and most of the info was gathered without even getting out of the car. However I struggled with getting a number for D, I only found a telstra sign and that gave me GZ in the middle of a paddock (although weirdly it looked like I could drive right up to it on Google Maps). I couldn't hang around any longer and headed home. So back home with google maps and assuming only D was wrong I tried different numbers for that decimal until I got a likely looking GZ. A quick message to confirm with CO and....then I forgot about it. Seems I'm always in a hurry when I pass down this way these days .
Today I was not having such a good day, having just smashed the back window of the geo323 by reversing into something (STUPID Zimba!). Stopping for a cache cheered me up and allowed me to recheck the plastic taped to the back.
Then a clamber over some new infrastructure and through a fence. I found that long arms were required to make the retrieve but I found a handy stick to help. The cache was slowly disappearing into the composting sawdust within. It was a bit damp inside but still quite respectable. I took the liberty of placing a couple of rocks under the cache which should keep it dry (and a little more accessible) for the foreseeable.
Thanks for the cache Noikmeister, a pleasant tour through pretty countryside.

Enjoyed the rural drive over the Bemboka Bridges and collected all the data on our last trip down to this area. We stopped at GZ this time to find and sign the cache. Worth an FP. TFTC Noikmeister
Found all the WPs, collected all the Data, calculated GZ, but went there and it didn't seem right! Will check my numbers and recalculate, and have a look next time I'm passing through. Thanks Noikmeister.
Have passed this cache quite a few times - never had the time before, always on the way somewhere else! However, today I happened to be in town, with no other specific destination in mind, so I decided to finally do this! The good news is, all the bridges are back in action, no more roadwork, so C and D can be restored to their former glory! The bad news is, it appears that the first bridge has changed. Certainly following the instructions literally, did not work. GZ was at a silly place, and did not match the hint. So I reconsidered how to interpret WP1, and came up with another answer! So that worked! Thanks for all the bridges NM! A nice little corner of the world this!
#4342 - 10:30; I was on the way to the coast with fitzy_65 and mtrax to give the SST and BFH series a run. We had stopped for a couple of caches in Nimmitabel, along with a pie and a coffee at the local bakery before hitting the road again, destination Bemboka. We had collected the other cache in town, so I was keen to grab this one as well, so I could cross off another town starting with 'B' to go with Batchelor, Broome, Bridport etc. A nice drive around soon saw us at GZ for a quick find and sign before heading of closer to the main part of the mission. TFTC noikmeister
10695. Found on a weekend run down the coast with mtrax and LuckyL10n to do the SST and BFH series and any other caches in between !
Left Canberra quite early for our run down to the Bega & Bermagui regions. This was the next stop for the trip. I had driven past this one a few times but today we had made a time allowance to visit the various WPs and make the find - which we did ! Log signed, cache replaced in its neat hidey hole, and we were on our way to the next one.
My thanks to my trip companions and all the cache owners for a great weekend !!
Thanks noikmeister !

G'day, Noikmeister.
The bridge at waypoint three will be closed from 25/01/2016 to 19/02/2016. It looks like it is falling apart, and needs major repairs. (Three weeks doesn't sound like enough, unless they are going to replace it?)
The sign says to detour via the snowy mountains highway.
You might want to give a different version of the clue, or disable it for a few weeks.

The clue at bridge 4 is no longer there due to bridge and road works. We will email you with a suggested solution.
A lovely winters day for a country drive so off we went. Bridge 1 check, bridge 2 check and all good, bridge 3 a quick drive by check, bridge 4 oh no major bridge works in progress with traffic control and no chance pull over so on we went, bridge 5 check, bridge 6 check but we have a problem with a missing number in our coordinates. From a quick review of previous logs and a process of elimination (a few of which were in the wrong direction) we managed to narrow down to a single digit and found the cache which made it all the more satisfying. 3973. Found with Relish64 while heading back to Canberra after a great weekend at Merimbula and with heaps of great caches. We grabbed some info on our trip down on Friday and made the short detour on our return journey gathering the rest.
We did have to re-visit bridge 4 again as nothing was spotted originally. Closer inspection on a Sunday afternoon with no road working muggles around, reveal what we needed laying horizontal in the long grass. Not certain how this will turn out as there looks to be a new bridge happening, may be. Certainly lots of roadworks happening at the moment.
So with all the info gathered and some quick maths, we were off to GZ for a quick find. Relish64 did say she was surprised that this area didn't have a cache during our trip down. I guess she is no longer surprised.
Thanks NM for a nice little multi and bringing us out to some great rural scenery.

Was a little sceptical when cache isn't found for a while, however lunch and dogs on board and off we went on a Sunday drive. All clues found and hopefully correct and in search of cache. Luckily all good and cache found. Moose tash path tag found to send along. Thanks for an enjoyable few hours out
After a lunch at the pie shop, we headed off for a drive in the country. Thanks for showing us around this part of the country. At GZ, we had a look at the river while waiting for some muggles to leave, then made a quick find. Thanks for the cache.
Two day trip to Merimbula with Sol de lune. In an attempt to escape the Canberra heat and do a bit of caching we headed down the coast. Much nicer and a fun night camping. We did this first and it was a well planned out loop that took us to an interesting location. I was a bit surprised to see some one camping there, but it seems anywhere is the go for that now. Thanks.

Heading down to Merimbula and beyond for a couple of days with Albida and took the time to drive around the Bridges. No problems with any of them, could certainly grab some of the info without getting out of the car. That's always fun. Road is all good and certainly more folk should give this one a go. Took about 25 minutes, so no big deal.
Once at GZ, there was a bit of company in the car park, however after a short walk, the cache was safely in hand.
Thanks NM....always enjoy a multi.

I have had the numbers for this one for some time just waiting for my trip back South. Today was the day with Chalk! along for the ride. I enjoyed the litte detor from my usual work jorney. Thanks Noikmeister for an interesting multi. SL TFTC
On a bit of a road trip with J+J.au we stopped off every so offen and grabbed some caches that were in her sights. This was one of them. After riding arround in the air conditioning stepping out into the heat of the day sure hits you. Made a quick find and getaway. TFTC noikmeister
I completed all the driving and calculating of the final GZ on 25 Jan 13 on my way from Queanbeyan to Eden to support 4 scouts who were doing the Light to Light hike in Ben Boyd National Park. Finished the final find on the way home after the hike. A nice drive and a great break from the highway driving. TFTC.
This was a nice little drive, although we broke it into two rather than doing a loop - WPs along the main road on the way down and the WPs along the dirt track on the way back. Very nice, thanks noikmeister.
Christmas at the sister in laws. A relaxing afternoon finding a few caches on area to fill in some time. TFTC.
Epic find.. Quiet Christmas Day out with the family. Dropped off a tb from candelo. Tftc
Question for bridge 2 has been updated with thanks to Mrs Noikmeister who just happened to be down that way this weekend.
10:32:00 AM: (3 of 5)
I had it on my list from earlier in the year but I was lucky enough to have the time to complete it on this trip, completed the first 4 or 5 bridges on the way in to Merimbula and then the final 2 on the way out back home, only had an issue with one of the waypoints which we guessed and confirmed with the CO, and had a tricky time getting to the GZ so had to be very stealthy but I think I pulled it off..
A great excuse for some back road driving although I can blame you for a dirty muddy car now but well worth the detour.
thanks

I knew this cache would get fewer finds than the waterhole, but 8 times fewer! Come one people, it really isn't that much of a detour...
When having a really tasty lunch at the nearby Pie Shop, we discovered this cache and since we like multi's we decided to go for it. Allthough we took the route backwards, we completed it and had much fun. Thanks for this fun cache!! And our first third-to-find
We had fun with this one and enjoyed taking the scenic tour around a favourite pie shop. And our first second-to-find.

FTF Worked hard for this one. Loved this type of cache, It's like a cross between geocaching and car rally. We hadn't done a geocache like this one before. Good to get to see the road less travelled around Bemboka. TNLN
