Found it, fun find with great views, watched planes landing the ridge. Container is a little worse for wear and contents looking rather sad. Propped rocks to cover from weather.
Found with e.gregory1 as we made our way northwards along Marble Bar Road on a trip from Adelaide to north-western WA. Thanks for the cache Dayne-Han!
Found on a trip to Western Australia from Adelaide with FeatherWaite. After camping south of Newman last night, we continued to make our way north finding caches of interest along the way.It was a pleasant walk up the hill from the main road for this one this morning. Great view. Thanks Dayne-Han for the cache.
Tftc we liked watching the trains.
Container is degraded and not sealing properly, but contents are still fine.

Into town and was keen after work to have a look around and grab a cache. It's hot and wondering if the rains are coming our way. A quick find. TFTC
Spewing. It was a hot steep climb to this one. And its only my 3rd ever one. Not there anywhere.
This cache had clearly been muggled. The contents and container were smashed beyond repair. Fortunately the log book survived the attack so we placed it in a new container and have rehidden it.
Thanks for the cache on the ridge Dayne-han we had fun.

Hi there Dayne-Han.
We found your cache **"FEAST ON THE RIDGE"** today. (This makes our find count 22720).
We cached around Roy Hill today,as well as attempting some caches around Ophthalmia Dam . We found your cache **"FEAST ON THE RIDGE"** at 12:49:00 PM. (This brings our total find count to 22720). We had an interesting trek around the area & found 11 caches today & DNF'd 0.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

Another find with a climb we are getting good at these. What a great view from here . Even managed to spot a train as well tftc
Parked where suggested and hoofed it up to the ridge. Quick find while admiring the views Thanks Dayne-Han
pug002 found it 8/8/2018 on our trip north geocaching. Just as well we had our hiking boots on, saw the cat the previous cacher had seen, so knew we were on the right path. Darn granite sure does things to GPS's. TFTC Dayne-Han
Mr Beetle found a track that got me a little closer to this one. He parked the van and waited while I headed up the hill, past the dead fluffy cat and then along the ridge until a suspicious pile of rocks was spotted.
After signing the log and returning the cache I grabbed a photo of the nearby GCA trig, checked out the scenery and then descended back to the van.
Great views from up there and well worth the walk.

Another climb and another cache! More great views.... amazing seeing all these mines TFTC
They say you should do abit of huffing and puffing when walking to live longer....we did that finding this cache, slipped and swore coming down.
Thanks for the hide. Great view.
Thanks for the hide. Great view.
This cache container and log book were replaced today by Miss-Placed and Carawine.
Found on our way back to home base. Container is destroyed but will endeavour to replace in the next day or so. TFTC
What a great view.bit on a climb for the fitness people. Lillte walk in the morning with my mate . TFTC.will return and repair cach. A bit later
Weather and rocks have feasted on the container which is in a bad condition. I had no replacements with me. Thanks for the cache.
Cache has been totally destroyed, although still in place. Case has disintegrated and contents, including logbook wrecked by weather. The whole cache needs replacing. See pictures in today's log.
Camping near Newman for a couple of days and trying to collect some of the local caches. WOW, wottaview of the mine on the next ridge (or what used to be the next ridge. I found the cache at 10:45 this morning but sad to say, it has been totally destroyed. The case and lid have succumbed to UV degradation and the contents have been mulched by the rain (including the logbook) in the 6 months since it was last visited I couldn't sign the log and have taken a photo of the cache. I will be putting in a maintenance report to alert the CO. Thanks for bringing me here Dayne-Han
A quick find after driving out from Newman this afternoon. This cache has been on my ToDo list for a few years - finally we have stopped in town for a few days with some caching. We had enjoyed a Mine Tour this morning then lunch in the caravan and now it's playtime. SL. Thanks to Dayne-Han for the cache.
Drove to the top. Walked along the rock ridge and have a look around. Gorgeous view.
Before I started heading south again from Newman,
I thought I should at least visit the dam
And along the way a cache on a ridge beckoned
A chill wind was blowing and the sun was shining
The short stroll to the top should warm me up a bit.
It did, but then the biting, cold wind at the top cooled me down again
I hurried up and found the cache,
so I could get back out of the breeze.
A good view from up here !!

I flew up to work a few days late to care for my fiancee who had been in an accident. Had a few minutes up my sleeve on the way out to my site, so stopped and made my way up on foot. Glad to finally be able to add a smilie face here.

Thank you.. just a safety point.. good shoes should be worn.. it's a rough walk.. also keep an eye out for any snakes. They love this sort of terrain here..
Good spot too.
Good spot too.
TFTC. Did this one on the side by sides. With two other cachers Was a good little run. Found it no worries. Guard lizard scared the crap outa me. TNLN.
A spontaneous stop after a cruise to the Cappy to charge the battery. Drove to the top of the lookout in the trusty Jeep. Great view over Eastern Ridge and the surrounds.
Cache was an easy find thanks to very good directions, and the container is in good condition. tftc

Found today. Container lid had perished so went back to town to get a replacement then went back and replaced. Needed to do before the wet season.
Great walk for an old bloke. Loved the view... Lid has broken, tried to cover it as best I could... TFTC
An easy find after work for me.
I contemplated taking the car up to the top but stopped at the bottom and walked.
Nice view over the close-by mine site.
Container is broken and needs replacing.

On a three week road trip north, through the Pilbra, Karijini then over to Exmouth. Caching along the way to help see some sights and have some breaks. Had great weather all trip apart from the last week once we hit the coast. Never the less, had a great trip.
Good views into the mine. TFTC

MB ride out along rail line from Newman to this one great view great spot guys I will come back and replace container cheers for the cache
I agree with the last finder that the container is in need of a new lid before the rains come.
I placed it well back under cover with the hope that it will be ok.
A lovely view and a photo to be down loaded very soon too.
Parked at the road and walked up the southern side.
Did I say that I enjoyed the view?
There is no pen/pencil, I didn't take one so had to cratch my entry then smear with dust to show log.
Happy for someone to pen it in or maybe it should stay as a reminder of initiative.
Took the Golf ball and left a gold coin

Didn't take the right track, went about 25m too far and parked about 450m from GZ. Was a nice walk to the top, wondering where was the track to get to the top. Arriving near the 'summit', I saw the track mentioned. Ha well... good exercise I guess!
For future reference, the track you have to take is 90deg from the main road, not ~45. Or just look at your GPS while driving by!
Was quite a nice view from the top.

Found it on the way to Newman Airport for my flight back home.
Approached the foot of the hill and decided to park my 4WD down. The walk up to the summit was quick and not difficult, despite 30+ degree.
Cache container require some maintenance, would be best to be done before the rain season come back. Lid starting to deteriorate, with a hole along one side of the container. Suitable replacement would be 500ml to 1 litre Sistema Container or similar.

On holidays here with my family... I found this one! TFTC Dayne-Han, had lots of fun here
On the 9th day of our holiday to Karajini NP we headed into Newman for a look around and to find the surrounding caches... Jase has driven past this spot a few times as he works out from this road but never had the opportunity to stop
Today was a different story and we had fun driving up to the top... Heading to the cache we were only a few metres away when we realised we didn't have the GPS'r I went back to the car and on my return we realised just how close we were!
TFTC Dayne-Han... Great views to be had and the kids loved that they could spot the dump trucks in the distance

20 May 2013, Week 4 – Day 23 of our Trip Around Australia (http://mrlocks.tumblr.com)
“1CADFAY”, (1 cache a day for a year).
Today was a mission finish last nights blog, lol. I just couldn’t get my head together last night to finish it, also to get the kids to do a bit of catching up with school work. While I sat outside working on the computer Jacki had the kids inside the van working away. Charlie was being difficult and would not settle down to do his work so I took Chloe off to Woolworths and did some shopping giving Jacki time to focus on getting Charlie to do his schoolwork.
When we returned we had our lunch and then went off to find a few caches. Our first stop was Opthalmia Dam which is the towns water supply. We drove out to the dam to the picnic area at the edge of the water only to find the bins full and overflowing with the litter piled high around them and being blown around by the wind. The views over the dam were pleasant, it was just a shame it was such a god-awful mess. We left to find the cache, “Opthalmia View, GCNTHK”, we hadn’t read the description before searching for the cache so we were looking for the access road just by guessing which one to take and ended up the wrong track which just took us to a dead end. We decided to park at the bottom of the hill and walked up the rocky spinifex covered side of the hill until we reached the summit. Jacki and the kids scouted around for the cache while I admired the awesome view, taking photos. Great cache placement, it was quite overcast so the usual colours of the landscape was a bit subdued but it was still spectacular. The others were having trouble finding the cache so I had a bit of a look around at a likely spot and soon had the cache in hand. We signed our finds and headed back to the car to look for our next cache, “FEAST ON THE RIDGE, GC3AFYY”.
We headed back towards town and again after reading the description realized we had to find another track off the main road which was a certain distance from the junction, but we were travelling in the wrong direction. A bit of guess work and the trusty iPhone app lead us in the right direction. We parked at the bottom of the hill as Jacki didn’t want me to tackle the near vertical, heavily rutted, loose and slippery track up the hill, oh well we would just have to walk it, lol. At the top of the hill we were once again greeted with awesome views, hidden from view by this hill was a large open cut mine with big trucks zooming all over and long trains taking away the ore. Once again I enjoyed the view and took photos while the others searched around for the cache, I was standing at a high point near a trig point I had found and after a while I called out to Chloe to go to a certain spot about 15 meters from where I was standing and have a look, sure enough the cache was there. We signed the log and headed back to the car.
It was getting late but there was time for one more cache before we called it a day, we went off to find “LKA – Newman…well kind of…GC2H3EQ”. This was a nice simple, quick find at a roadside memorial. I quickly jumped out of the car and grabbed the cache, took it back to the car for Jacki to sign and dropped it back. The sun was now setting and we enjoyed a colourful sunset as we headed back to the caravan for dinner.

A good hide but the container lid is starting to perish.

Nice one! Great view of Eastern Ridge, and a nice short but steep track to test out the new fourby to get to the top. (I can still smell the clutch!)
Took a dog, left a digger, signed the log.
Thanks

Coast’n Along and Kool Running heading north from Esperance to Karratha, then heading back to Albany in 5 weeks. Great views over the mine site and a good walk up the hill. Not sure if I would take my 4x4 right to the top!
Found during a wait for the evening flight out of Newman. Walked up and found a beautiful spot, I've never seen a green waste dump before. TNLN. Thanks!
Had a chance to grab this one on the way home from work. Had the company vehicle so drove to the top in comfort. Great views of the nearby mine. Found the cache from the directions as our GPSr put us miles away from here. Used the GPS to send the co-ords home so will edit this and add our figures to see if it makes any more sense. Directions made it easy to locate anyway. Took some pics too so will add them later too. TNLN SL Thanks for the cache, Dayne-Han.
Checked co-ords at home and seems they're spot on. Obviously the iPhone GPSr is rubbish!!
