On our way from Cromwell to Omarama. Decided to stop in here for a quick cache and have only smileys in this area. Only found a logsheet in a plastic bag but nice and dry. TFTC
A peaceful place up here. Found the plastic bag with a log but no container. Tried to look in the car for a replacement container but didn't have one with me. Covered up well so hopefully someone in future might pop a container here. TFTC Bitsprayer.
Found GZ but no cache so placed a temporary 'pink' log until the CO is passing by this area (hope it not passing on given the location). T4tc
My wife wanted to visit Mrs Robinsons, so we took a run up to Tarras before heading back to Queenstown and our flight home. While she did that I found a few close by caches. Another pleasant rural Cemetery. TFTC
Found after a coffee at the country cafe. Rogue sheep on the road outside the gate!
Found it:)
On holiday in Tarras & popped down after a torpedo from the Tarras cafe

The dogs on the farm next door got quite excited. A great place to stop.
This cache was found on our second summer campervan trip. JDScout and I plan to do three this summer. This trip is from Christchurch to Bannockburn to the Catlins and back.
Thanks for hiding this cache Bitsprayer I appreciate it. It has helped add an extra layer of fun in our holiday.

#20426. Well worth a small detour to get to this cache. Great views, and an interesting cemetery. TFTC.
A lovely location for a cute wee cemetery. Loved the stone wall and the old roses (which according to a plaque on the wall is a collection of heritage roses saved from properties flooded during the Clyde dam project).
Cache was a quick find accompanied by a cacophony of barking from the dogs on a neighbouring property. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC.

Today I shifted my snail shell from Twizel to Lowburn this morning. And after lunch decided to locate and sign off the caches I passed on the road that didn't have big enought carparks for my long rig.
I don't think I disturbed any of the residents..
Cheers for the cache.

I was walking round the cemetery Visting my grandparents, but then I found this geocache behind a tree under a rock, that’s when I decided to download this app
2. found today during "accommodation hunt" nearby Tarras, Luggate and in Hawea Flat.
We were out for a nice quiet Sunday drive today and we managed to grab a few caches. This one was quickly located but we must have wound up every farm dog in the district by being here. TFTC
A nice wee find thank you. Heading to Twizel and getting a few caches on the way. TFTC
Also what’s this thing about the three sapphires? Pls respond! Should I google it?
We're hunting Tour caches and anything that's not slowing down our objective to much. With some tour caches impossible to incorporate in the route we intended to travel we explored the wider area which included those tour caches. It must be a sight to see a hearse travel the last few hundred meters to the cemetery. The best argument would be that it's better than no seal at all. We managed to stay in the shade for most of the way under encouragement of the dogs next door and made a quick find. Thank you Bitsprayer
We are camped at Kidds Bush Reserve at Lake Hawea for a couple of nights so have a full day to explore the area and find caches.
This is my first time in this area so plenty of looking about while hazedarus focused on the driving.
I was unimpressed with the state of the "sealed" road to here.
Thank you Bitsprayer.

A lonely wind swept place today The cache is in good condition but right out in the open under a single stone I tucked it away with a little more camoflage TFTC
I'm catching up on my logging which seemed to have stalled even though we have been in lockdown, my excuse is that I have been working throughout.
Found on our southward leg - day 2. We always look out for cemetery caches, not always easy to identify by the name but some give it away.
This started out as a Geocaching road trip to Invercargill to drop off some stuff for the niece and collect some other stuff for Mrs banian. It turned into a bit of a race back to Wellington to beat the Covid-19 lockdown.
We were able to rebook our Ashburton accommodation and ferry ticket to earlier in the week. When we arrived in Picton the vehicle queue was almost a kilometre long, and got longer behind us. Fortunately, as we had tickets we were still able to get on our sailing.

My turn to do a little safe cracking. Some jewels need returning to the vault. Found the old box and signed a dry logbook. Thanks for leading us here. TFTC
On the hunt for first of three Sapphires taken in the great jewel heist at the Museum having been briefed on the case by the detective and gathered the clues at the start of the investigation. *Winter time dots are thin on the ground for July soon to be rectified with a push over the border ploughing new fields of Central Otago of it's green dots turning dozens of dates from one singular shade of green to a multiple darker green on the 'finds' table*. Having found this cache on long furlough parking at the luvly big rock wall inside the station yard, was that hoof beats I could hear in the moonlight? No not zebras, hundreds of Merinos penned up at the shed down the hill. The gate was a bit rusty to open so vaulted the wall and walked down the 200ml sistema cache in RRP. The logbook while dry was a little funky for it's age and while the baggy was ripped, there was time to get a new bag from the wagon to replace and return cache as found. TFTC

Found with nissan 65. Flew in from sydney for a short holiday. Hoping to see as much as i can on the south island and pick up caches along the way . Thanku for the cache.had to turn around after trying to head down west coast .Road closed due to heavy snow
What a small cemetery but one in which I might have ancestors who used to be bunny shooters in the early days for some of the big stations around this area. Not sure so wandered around after finding the cache and took photos of possible gravestones. Love how someone saved the roses - will need to come back and see them in bloom one day.
Found it with our muggle cousins. May not be muggles for long they're having a blast! TFTC
Nice resting place with great scenery. Log is damp and mildew as box wet. Sorry nothing in my bag to dry it out with. Thanks for placing the hide.
Lovely location up on the hill; as with so many of these country cemeteries, the same names keep recurring.
Thanks, Bitsprayer - I hadn't taken the time to go down this road before.

What an awesome cemetery. So peaceful. The views a spectacular the smell not so much lol. TFTC ☺
First day of two days trip from Christchurch to Invercargill via Cromwell. Cache 72 of 72 today. This is part of my challenge to find as many 'minutes' for a 400-minute challenge cache, with most caches being straightforward finds. Thanks for the cache.
Took our time on the way home and grabbed a few caches. We love these cemetery caches as they tell many stories. Quick find, TFTC
Interesting collection of heritage roses here saved from Cromwell before they flooded it for the dam. TFCF
A Bitsprayer cemetery cache - Yes! We found the grave of the Smiths who owned the merino stud and gave the land for the church, and admired the wall built not all that long ago and the heritage roses.

14.20: On the way from Alexandra to Omarama via Thomson Gorge. Truely a beautiful and peaceful place to rest. Lots of interesting details on the headstone, even for people from far away - like us. Usually we don't like to look for caches at cemeteries since the relatives may not be enjoyed of such a treatment. But (as here) afterwards we usually say it was worth visiting.
Weather: fine, sun, windy, 11°C;
Wheelchair: difficult, grassy slope, may be strenuous;
State: all good.
IN & OUT: nothing.
Thank you for showing us this place!
