Nup, add us to the list of DNFs as well, Had a pretty thorough look and feel around with no luck. We'll be back sometime.
A quick stop to use the nearly toilets but alas the cache was not to be found.
A weekend trip up north, unfortunately not purely geocaching due to company, but fun nonetheless! A nice walk along the beach before we attempted this one, but no luck!
Stopped for lunch here and thought I would have a look on the off chance a cache maybe nearby. Was glad I did. Quick find and sign but only as not many muggles about. I think it would be a tricky one in the summer. Hopefully may have time after my appointment to find some more caches in the area. TFTC.
We stopped near here for a lunch/dinner of fish and chips and enjoyed the view as we did so. For 'afters' it was time to grab a quick cache. Thanks G_2
After a recent dnf I felt I needed something a little less challenging. Thank heavens....my caching mojo felt restored again after finding this. Lots of muggles, but no one noticed or showed interest in us. Tftc
Another quick find, but I had to wait a while for muggles to go by. A very busy put stop. Cheers
Quick sortie into Whangamata to get some cash as the one and only ATM in Pauanui doesn’t like foreigners and won’t oblige.
Heavy showers on and off so just this one picked up nice and quickly on the way out.
Thanks for placing and greetings from the .

Excellent little spot, great hiding place, made it a challenge not to look like a freak looking for it, TFTC
Easy find. Busy little spot tho. Fun trying to be 007 and hiding what I'm up to. Thanks for the cache.
Great view and great hide and managed to find it very discreetly. Thanks for placing it here.
This is our first cach in Whangamata grabbed on a evening walk

Wir sind zur Zeit auf einer Rundreise durch Neuseeland. Hier legte unser Reiseleiter eine Rast ein. Diese nutzten wir und entfernten uns einmal kurz von der Gruppe. Gut gefunden.

Lots of muggles around so had to be very stealthy. Fingers found the catch but a car was parked about 3 m away so had to wait. As they left, I reached under and grabbed the cache. Still raining so I'm now in the superloo logging the cache out of the rain. TFTC.
Quick easy find, while on holiday for a few days thought May as well do a few caches.
What a lucky grab. Sat down and was in the first place I reached. Some brave surfers in the water today. Must have been cold!
Parked right in front, michaelteacher sat down, made a wild grab for it, and was at the first spot he tried. Haha easy find. It's crazy cold and windy today and there are surfers hitting the waves. Tftc
I have set myself a challenge for this year to have at least the same number of caches on each day of my calender as the number of years I have been caching.
Today the target is only one but I just might go over that number. I am very thankful to the COs that there are quite a few caches in Whangamata for me continue with my challenge.
Cheers for the cache.

Went on a solo adventure today and decided to find some caches. Success awesome hide
On a visit from Scotland to Follow the British and Irish Lions and pick up a few Geocaches along the way, beautiful country and friendly people, tftc
TFTC, found while walking the geodogs down the beach while staying in the Coromandel for the weekend.
It took a while to locate the correct seat. Lots of surfers out after all the rain this morning
We pulled up to find this as another camper van pulled up and two guys got out and loitered around the toilets. Had to wait until they finally moved on. We watched the sand being blown out to sea - quite interesting. Quick find when muggles finally left. Thanks for replacing and maintaining this cache G--2.
Waited for a while at GZ for muggles to move on ....it was a dreeie day and a strong off shore wind which had the sand blowing in cloud like form out to sea .....sort of thing you see in a desert movie ...very fascinating ...not detracting from the cache the muggles have move on and soon had the log signed thanks G-2 for the placement great work
Road trip around the Coromandel with lots of caches to find. Quick easy find. TFTC.
#266. Heading south from our Pauanui caching safari, we decided on a whim to check out the beach at Whangamata - a place I stayed as a kid 50 years ago. Is there a cache here? Of course! First find of the day for Friday ... easy find. Now for a coffee! Tftc again G--2.
Love this place. Have to wait for my son whose surfing the bar! On a world surf trip with the family. NZ has been great! Tftc
Bit rainy and windy here today. Made for big surf! Easy find with no muggles around.
2843 After visiting my sister at the nearby camping ground thought I would check out da bar. I followed the instructions in the description. See a man can follow directions.
Making our very first trip ever to Whangamata this weekend. Our primary purpose being to find as many G--2 caches as we can, as we are trying to qualify for a Nelson Challenge cache, to complete 1000 caches by one cache owner.
We didn't time our arrival here very well. A group of half a dozen or so people were unloading surfboards right near GZ. Even so it was easy enough to stealthily retrieve the cache - it was exactly where one of us first laid our hand. Really enjoying our first visit to Whangamata - it is a beautiful and well-kept seaside town.

Was travelling around the Waikato/ Coromandel with UncleSam and Dragon_Griffin completing a requirement of our current GIO Licence stage that requires us to find 50 caches in ine day, greater than 1km apart..... but Dragon_Griffin and I also needed to find a cache for the day for our 50 day streak, as also required for our GIO Licence! So we stopped here for lunch, and very conveniently, there was a cache here.
almost gave up and didn't attempt this, as there were muggles sitting waaaaaay too close and eating their lunch. But just as we were leaving, they moved on, so were were able to dive in and make a quick find, "posing" for a photo as our cover-up!
Thanks G--2.... this was day #41 of our 50-day streak!

Day 41 of a 50 day caching streak as part of my current geolicence I was on a road trip with Uncle Sam and NewlynFam picking up 50 caches in one day as part of another challenge and we stopped for lunch in Whangamata, so this was a perfect quick grab... we just had to wait for a couple of surfers to leave the area before we could swoop in TFTC!
Was completing part of my Geo License with NewLynFam & Dragon_Griffin where we had to find 50 caches in one day, but they must be 1km apart from each/all caches done that day. The problem when doing this with 3 people, and 2 of them have done a few around the country it made it a little harder.
We enjoyed our day traveling around. Please forgive me for the generic logs, but was a long day.
Thanks for supporting my addiction.

On a day trip to Whangamata with Okayness & snarsha and this was a quick find by Okayness. #6 today. TFTC
It was a glorious day in Whangamata today, as Mr P and I tried out best to find each and every cache in this nice place. We were on quite a roll as we enjoyed the views (we're not much for doing nothing, so sunbathing isn't us, but caching, oh yes!). T4tc
Sat in exactly the right spot and the cache was retrieved, log signed and replaced as found.

Was expecting a simple find as it was replaced a few days ago. No where to be found
Yep, pretty obvious that this one had gone. How many places could a mag mint tin be here? TW replaced with CO's permission as per the cache page. Thanks.
When plans were made to visit Whangamata with TF contact was made with the owner to see if we could assist with some of these disabled caches. This one has been replaced with the CO's permission and is exactly how the cache page describes. All good to go again.
