No luck and searched for ages - even at low tide as suggested. Rough start to our search day. (it got much better...)
A DNF for us on Christmas Day. Suprising number of muggles around but being able to paddle at low tide and "collect shells" were good diversions.
Found on our weekend cache raid of the Coromandel. Stopped off for a spot of fishing and reeled in a big one TFTC.
#475, GPS was way out on this one. found hanging some way off. log almost unsignable very very wet. TFTC.
This time biked from Whangapoua to Matarangi ( had forgotten about the 2nd hill), found the cahe, but the book is saturated and needs to be replaced, wouldn't even pull out of the container. A great hide tho, you are right about it being easier at lowtide. Tftc
Cache was dangling which made it easy. Put it back more securely but not sure if it's in the right place. Logbook is very damp.
Took a while to find this one, and it was low tide. Spotted something suspicious from one side of the wharf and finally found after searching in from the other side. TFTC
Wet day for a walk here today. Time for a swim as no one around after boat went out.
First look was not that long after high tide, after trying from above went for a wade but couldn't spot it. Tried from above again and Mrs sp8 spotted it some distance from the indicated GZ. There was however no way to retreive it without swimming, so decided to come back later. Returned later and had to quickly retreive it between a photographer leaving and a boat arriving. Still had to wade a little but that was ok. After signing the log managed to scone myself on the wharf and now bear the lump / gash to bear witness that I was there.

Too clever for us today. Looked all over couldn't find anything to reel in. Will try again another weekend.
Gad to go out bit further than wr anticipated but all good. Sand feels horrible. Tftc
Difficulty rating is probably not too accurate as found this rather easily but fun little cache anyway. Also the container is a lot bigger than a nano. Otherwise tftc!
Yeah! Our first FTF:) took a bit of a search and finally found a bit further out than my phone indicated on map. TFTC
