05 September 2016 08:53:25 OK I hate cut and paste logs so will try my best to add a little something different to each log I post. Code 1 and myself were out on our annual caching run weekend. So some of our logs read both names but to save room on micros and nano’s etc we used CJ1. Like most of our past trips a little homework was needed to work out a suitable location, route and to build lists and PQs, with this done and set we found our self’s in the Camden location. A great range of finds and styles were located with a great deal of questioning over some of the posted difficulties and terrains.
Got to wounder what the neighbours all think about all the different people who try and go up this road to nowhere.
JABs.

04-Sep-16
Found on a weekend invasion of my old romping ground with JAB's.
It's crazy to see how much the area I grew up in has changed over the years.
Got watched by the neighbor as we drove up to this one. She soon lost interest and went back to her chores.

#3127 (8 of 12 today) (Streak day 400)

So finally the streak hits 400! I'm not planning on keeping it going much longer - and the new challenge cache guidelines limit streak caches to 365 (I do wonder why not 366 to include the occasional leap year).

To celebrate I thought I'd grab a good swag of finds, and then I remembered I still needed to "Catch Them All"!
So headed out west, with #9 on my mind - and grabbing the respawned #3 as well.

Got 12 out of 13 - including a previous DNF. I'll take that.
Then ran into another cacher at my final three finds.
Top day.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Well. Easy find - only one place for it really - OK, two. And it was in the second.
The big problem was the plump redback using the camo and the cache as a home.

It ran away when I moved the camo, but I still used a tool to grab the cache.

Completed signing duties to the barking of the dog next door, then replaced - saw the redback lunge back in as I did. Hmmm, it's likely to be there for the next finder - so take care.

The danger factor meant the yuck factor here was non-existent today.

Yuck indeed! Lol

16-Jan-16
Found at 5:14pm.

I was spending the day (and night) out this way at my folks place. I said to Dad that I still needed a cache for today so I can keep my streak alive. He is not a Geocacher himself but he understood my needs and offered to take me to one of the closest ones nearby on the back of the motorbike.

We took a short ride a couple of streets away and made the trek up to GZ where a quick find was made. I sort of knew what to expect. Yuck indeed. Probably minimal chance of this being muggled given its location.

We hopped back on the bike and returned home, happy to have ticked off my 23rd consecutive day of caching.

Signed log, thanks for the cache The Booos

This is gross

28-Sep-15
Gave the dogs something to bark at. Was the cache their attempt at revenge? TFTC

27-Sep-15
Actually could not attempt the search as it was on private property with a sign stating "no trespassing"

05-Sep-15
Gross but funny.
Log is full

04-Sep-15
Haha easy find but ewwww

08-Aug-15
I guessed what I would find here but the hardest part of this cache is do you or do you not drive up this strange entrance and then end up at the private entrance to private property.
I think there was going to be a children's party next door this afternoon as the table was set with lots of drinks and goodies so with the log signed I was out of here.

With a Saturday off work, it was time to join with Mr Hancock for a mighty day of caching, a total of 52 for me (a few less for him as he kindly waited whilst I redid a few he had already covered).

Y indeed? Happy to let Mr H handle this one.

TFTC we seem to have a nose for these types of caches especially if we are down wind of them.

Log full. No pun intended.

14-Sep-14
Interesting!!

18-Aug-14
On the way here, iker and myself managed to accidentally drive past the turnoff for the GZ as we thought it was a road to a private residence. Reluctantly we turned around and took the road to the end, nothing too bad so far, and then uncovered a cache container that had us chuckling for a good few minutes. The shock value when you remove the camo is the winner here. A favourite from me. TFTC.

29-Jul-14
Ah crap... Yuck is right!!! Well a quick signing of the LOG and we were off... TFTC and another letter down in the cachebet for us Smile

Two years since my DNF, and once again the dogs were yelping....This time I ignored them for a quick find. Thanks TB.

29-Jun-14
Prior to The Rats heading off around Australia for some time, the Gangsters (myself, The Rats, Big Matt and Shell and Farmer Frentzen) got together for a day's caching around Warragamba and the Lower Blue Mountains.

This was a bit yuk and took a prod before we were sure it was the cache! Thanks!

29-Jun-14
There was time for one more Gangsters gathering before we headed off on holidays. Today big numbers wasn't on our minds, we were more interested in a fun days caching and thats what we had.

Found this relatively easy but I'm sure the locals around knew we were here as the nearby dogs didn't let up.
It was interesting to see how our gizmo's have this marked as a local road.

Thanks

29-Jun-14
Found during a run around the area today with The Rats, steeba and Big Matt (also loosely known as The Gangsters).

This was a bit of a last hoorah for the group before The Rats and family head off on a lap around the continent and another terrific day of caching.

We found this one under a chorus of barking dogs.

Thanks TeamBooo for the cache.

29-Jun-14
Well, we have certainly seen a lot of sh%t caches in the last 10 years, yucky ones as well.

The worst was at Mt Gambier where we were looking for a cache at an open sinkhole, found it, looked at the log bag and some nice person has placed some live, but now very dead and rotting yabbies in with the logbook. Yeah, I still signed the log. Nobody wanted to come near me for a while afterwards though....

29-Jun-14
[Blue]Our 8497th overall find.

Found on a Lower Mountains / Western Sydney caching run with FarmerFrentzen, steeba and The Rats. A short walk up the track to a chorus of barking dogs. I assume that this is a stock route?

Thanks TeamBooo for the cache. [/Blue]

25-Apr-14
I have fallen behind with my logging and am trying to catch up.
Found with DewDanni on Anzac Day. Originally we drove past this little 'lane way' as it looked like private property. But after a quick discussion we decided that this must be it so we backed up and drove up to GZ. Having read previous logs I kind of knew what expect lol. But I don't think DewDanni could believe her eyes lol. As DewDanni was a bit grossed out I completed the honours. Tftc and the chuckle Wink

09-Apr-14
easy find

24-Jan-14
Crap! I found it.

19-Dec-13
Headed down the thin black line again to the Western Suburbs of the Big Smoke ie Penrith, Mulgoa and Warragamba again this morning to try my luck and find some caches I missed last trip and have some fun. Great cache. TFTC

23-Nov-13
LOL...what a lovely colour! TFTC.

09-Nov-13
At the event this morning, I was reaffirmed that I could pretty much drive to GZ, so with that knowledge, we set about making the drive up the lane. And there it was. Nothing too hard about that hide... Interesting camo for sure.... Geowife didn't seem to like it though when I threw it to her!! TFTC.

25-Oct-13
I found this geocache using the Geocaching Intro App. TFTC!

31-Aug-13
Yuck is right

06-Jul-13
On an arranged mission with All Strung Out to clean up Mulgoa Rd/Silverdale Rd previously passed Caches. Pulled up at a gateway ... hmmm ... but eventually drove the track alongside nearby muggles. ASO sent off for the 'sticky' extraction, le 'mushroom content to sign the Log. TFTC Smile

06-Jul-13
Found with whitemushroom .............I hope the nearby muggles didn't venture over after we left (I decoyed a fencepost) ......... think we that 'we left that'! lol Nice one TFTC

01-Jul-13
Took a nice little drive this morning and completed a few of the "Booo Clan's" caches which I have been meaning to do for some time now.

After all the rain of late the assess road was a little damp but made it to the top. The cache container was very interesting, but what the heck, grabbed it and extracted the log. Big Grin

Signed log and replaced as found.

Tks ... TeamBooo ... GazMag

Barking dogs next door were distracting & the neighbour came home as I was leaving. A friendly wave & I still think she was concerned about why I was there. Tyf the yukky cache.

It tasted Yuk, It smelled Yuk, Lucky we didn't tread in it. Hehehe

I was concerned after reading other logs re barking dogs but all I found today (besides the cache) was some curious cattle near GZ. Good cache container for “Y” and it reminds me of a scene out of one of my favourite movies Top Gun, thanks.

18-Nov-12
After not finding the way in on a previous visit of the area today. I ran into the CO who told me the way in. Drove to gz and the dogs were out barking as I approached. Got to gz and made a quick find, had a laugh at the container TFTC TeamBooo

18-Nov-12
When I thought about all the yuck things that this cache could be hidden in, this is what came to mind. It suits the theme very well, my daughter even asked me 'why did they hide it there, its yucky'! Good work.

17-Oct-12
Parked right up to GZ to much a quick find. TFTC.

30-Jun-12
#930 & day 37 of my ongoing streak

Y = yapping dags (actually manically barking dogs, but I'm trying to fit the theme here).

The previous logs weren't encouraging, with several DNFs & the possibility that the Hound of the Baskervilles & his relatives would be trying to rip out our throats. But we thought we'd try anywayi

Took a bit of searching but eventually we found what we were after. The camo is holding up to the elements well, but the log itself isn't - the container must have leaked, the ziplock bag had water in it & the log was saturated. I'm afraid I tore it a bit while trying to sign, and my signature isn't that legible as the ink flowed on the wet paper.

We were there for so long that the dogs actually settled down & stopped trying to find a gap in their fence to get to us. Or maybe the property owner did something to quiet them down (they were watching with interest as we walked past their house). But leaving set the dogs off again & we were followed out by a medley of growling, snarling & howling. Quite musical really, especially as we got further & further away Smile.

Thanks TeamBooo, especially since having found it, I never have to come back to this spot again Smile.

15-Jun-12
My views on this cache are tainted by a DNF today.

Y, as in why would you put a cache here?, cow crap, barking dogs, and a spot that although public property looks like private property, and to cap it off my GPSr wanted me 10m over a locked gate into some ones private property, not the best place I have searched for a cache, sorry TB.

30-Apr-12
Only had quick half-hearted look for this. The barking dogs put me off.

20-Apr-12
Y could be for Yapping. But, those dogs were barking, snarling and very angry.

Other than that it was a well constructed (or produced?!?) cache. Very realistic and clever.

TFTC.

19-Apr-12
Found with the family- I hate barking dogs.

19-Apr-12
Found with the family on a day out.

19-Apr-12
Like the WaywardWoman said, we found it despite Cujo, the Hound of the Baskervilles and their progeny baying for our blood. I'd been wondering what X, Y and Z might represent. X and Y had left few options, so I'm happy to say we guessed both of them. Yuck (or Yuk, as may be your preference) indeed! Thanks.

19-Apr-12
It wasn't so much the Yuk (which I must admit I wasn't keen on) but the barking bulldogs nearby that unnerved me. We had done another cache that brought us near this same spot, and had to drive all the way around, but this time we were able to hoof it up there. The quicker the better. This time it was me who managed a quick find before quelling the loud beasts on our exit. The family was all glad to be able to put this one behind us. Thanks.
