Beautiful day to be outside. TFTCSpecial thanks for the effort you put into hiding this
The weather was okay for a bike ride so the plan was to drive to Gawler, collect a few caches on the way, then ride the Meat Trail and look for a few of the caches along there. Its a good thing I took my gravel bike because I underestimated the degree of ruts and sandy sections along the Meat Trail - and that only made the ride even more fun...at times collecting caches broke the flow and rhythm of the ride so I didn't stop to look for all caches. Great ride, although the plan to grab a bite to eat at the Wasleys Hotel didn't work out as they dont open the kitchen for lunch - but the person behind the bar was extremely friendly and a beer and pack of barbecue chips sufficed. By the end of the ride I had looked for 21 caches and found 20. Oddest location was pet cemetery. TFTC
Left home early for a day's caching in the Gawler to Bolivar area to see if I could achieve a Personal Best month. Most caches were in good condition, but there were some on the Gawler to Port Adelaide trail that needed maintenance that I didn't have with me. TFTC
Today out and about on 194 of 274 days to get my daily cacher Emerald Using my Garmin Etrex 22X and MacBook Air!Thanks for the cacheTFTC
Found it! Saw this one had maintenance so stopped by first up and made the find. All quiet on the airfield today. TFTC!
After attending the Gawler psychic fair Peas&CarrotsForever and I decided to find some caches in the local area.
Unfortunately after scathing through the near shoulder height grass, we decided to work smarter not harder and move on to other caches to find.
Hopefully the grass can be cut and we have better luck next time!

Long grass, hot day = no luck even though we talked through all the grass
Took a little longer than I wanted to be standing in waist high grass on a summers day.
Found the sneaky hide, great ingenuous hide

Found by The Boofs while out on a drive TFTC . Very clever hide, made tricky by the currently long grass. Also a busy day on the runway.
Out in a beautiful winters day grabbing some finds. Solved in preparation for our SA visit. Love the rural back roads. Thanks malco
Doesn’t really look like a runway from this angle. Love what looks like a picnic hutch at the end of the runway! No aviation action happening this afternoon. TFTC Malco!
Yay. Found it after a few of the anatommy series. Pretended to take some photos here before heading into gawler for lunch with a friend. Many thanks for the smiley!
GeoVenture Mega Event at Millicent, still looking forward to it!! A new date has been set for October 2nd 2021 now. Have a look at GC82DAN.

Today was Gawler Day. After doing all my chores I headed off to Gawler on the new road which makes the drive much shorter.
Had a long list of caches to tick off but a later than anticipated start coupled with some hideous hay fever meant I didn’t get as many finds as I’d hoped for. Just wasn’t having caching feels today.
I didn’t have any dnf though which was good and converted one prior frownie into a smile which was also good.
At the end of the day had some fab food at the very well patronized Geocaching day event. Not quite Seattle where I should have been today but still a fabulous event and was great to see so many fellow cachers. After tea found a final 3 caches with JJ52 and then took my pollen infested head home, still suffering the Wattle side effects the next day.
Followed the caching trail through the sour sobs and made a nice quick find but no planes on the runway. TFTC

As a kid i had an almost morbid-passion for flight so in order to stop me from killing myself [trying to fly as kids sometimes do ha ha] my father sent me up in a Sail-Plane in about 1975. {By memory it cost about $17, which then would easily be about $100 now} so coming to this hide near this familiar area, the Gawler Aerodrome, rekindled old memories and heightened the flame of my passion for flight just seeing a single Glider [:x]
A quick find thanks to the Geo-Trail, at 14:30 on Saturday the 15th of August 2020.
The cache and contents are good and dry.

Glad I brought the 4WD to get to this T1. The grass is almost as high as the fence. Made finding the cache harder than D1 too.
Thanks for the cache Malco!.

The weather was pleasant enough in the beginning...
Driving past here and couldn't resist collecting this cache...
No planes flying around today...
A nice hide...

A visit to Adelaide once again for this years 500 race. Today I met with Brisal5 to collect a few caches and series along the way.
I walked along the fence and picked up a rock and found a cache. It was a little stuck in there but the dirt was loose and was able to retrieve. TFTC

Get gz car drives past so I just look at runway while writing log i see a plane Tftc
No take off or landings while I was here but I did stab myself on the barbed wire. Thanks for the adventure. Now for Christmas shopping.
Have been undertaking flight training here since February and only recently took notice of this cache. After an afternoon at the soaring club I decided to not be lazy and drive a bit further down the road to search. 2 cars drove past as i was checking the coordinates and cache details, and after I waited for the tug overhead to land I went in and found it in the second place I looked. Everything looks well protected. TFTC.
On my to do list for twelve months, I decided today was the day as i was literally down the road ... Except the sinking feeling of a cache MIA came over me when all the trees, shrubs and area near GZ had been cleared... Take a deep breath... Look properly.. Go get the geopup, he'll know where to look.. Yup.. The nose knows... With CIH and SL we TNLN and we're on our way! TYFTC
Owl's normal caching companions were off on a frolic of their own, so she decided to edge herself closer to her mega milestone with some power trails. And other caches in between as they showed up on the map. This was attempted on the homeward run. No planes today.
[:(!] Thanks for an awsome effort. [:(!]
I like it.
Another one off the list.
