What a great day to get in some walks and some of those out of the way caches. The plan today was to start a walk from the car park of Ewan maddock to an event some 5 kms walk away. Along the way we would stop and get some caches and listen to the smooth sounds of the area and then loop back to the car park. All went really well, we then finished off with a chat at the coffee van in the carpark. From there people made their own plans and headed off. I was lucky to team up with Roddyc, Hatzofff and Imbunda for the afternoon of caching. We got in some good caches and even a spot of lunch. This was one of those caches for today. We signed the logs and replaced the caches as found. This was an awesome walk and an awesome cache to find. I t would have been nice to see it in full glory but the is something about this one still that is just nice. We gently pulled out the container and did our work. A favourite point here.
After our early morning started to do our walk to the event and pick-up the challenge caches, it was time to head out to pick up some more unfound caches.Someone suggested this cache and I did not hesitate to say let's go. Having done it several years ago very little 'was the same'.Harry's Hut has seen better days but still interesting.533Caching with RoddyC , chamad and Imbunda.TFTCache jasenjanine
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Bennyboppers and Lisylou). Unfortunately it is falling apart. TFTC!
This geocache was on my priority/bucket list due to its high Favourite Point (FP) count, with 77 FPs as of the time of my visit.I parked at the suggested parking waypoint, and then headed up along the Main Ridge Track, before turning off at the suggested [Turn Here](https://www.geocaching.com/seek/wpt.aspx?WID=829ffde5-83a1-4bcb-a72d-84b238238b33&RefID=470f5da8-fede-4318-8d04-b1263e10153e&RefDS=1) waypoint. Following the short bush bash, I soon arrived at Harry's Hut, and found the cache. To be honest, I was expecting something quite different at this location, for it to be truly a hermits home. I've found similar caches interstate, and it's been really interesting, but this was something different entirely. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks jasenjanine for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Today, I had a rough plan to initially visit Toorbul, and then head to the Sunshine Coast to visit Baxter Falls and catch up with [dahumbug](https://coord.info/PR8W6P9) (with no firm plans otherwise). My initial visit to Toorbul had been a target for some time, and after visiting Donnybrook, I continued my drive north with a last-minute plan to detour through Palmview for a couple of bushland walks. Baxter Falls was an enjoyable and relatively easy walk, with a high amount of water flowing from recent wet days, and a Location completed from the [Four Waterfalls & a Lookout](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/e838f6fe-82da-4017-9bec-27edd17abd6d) Adventure Lab. We then made stops in Mapleton and headed north geocaching within the vicinity, before deciding to head to Bli Bli for a few recently published geocaches. An enjoyable day out with fine weather.
Was a nice ride from the rest area despite numerous fallen trees from the storm the previous day, although the last 70mts wasnt quite so enjoyable with bike in tow!! Was actually looking for some thing much larger hahaha
This was an amazing experience, late afternoon and I need to get out of the house, and explore. The amount of hearts made this an obvious choice. And it didnt disappoint. Although the weather has taken its toll on Harrys Hut it is still is the cutest place, we didnt see Harry or Radar.
First find whilst on a geoadventure through Landsborough and Beerwah. After following the trail down to GZ, I soon left the path towards GZ. Be careful if you do take the creek to GZ, there are some rather spiky plants that I unfortunately had a scrape or two with. Once I was closer to GZ and it didn't take too long to find. Unfortunately Radar was nowhere to be found and it seems like harry hasn't been home for a long, long time. Thanks for the cache jasenjanine!
What an adventure this one was. I don't know why I expected some homeless house Harry was at home and scared the hell out of me! Tftc
We visited last year Harry's Hut further North in the Everglades. Today we have chosen this area to try to turn the coloured dots from green to yellow.
Partly there was still a bit of water, but we found a way to see Harry's Hut. A cute cottage! We signed the logsheet and took off for the next one in this area.

jasenjanine I found your cache Harry's Hut on 6/3/2022, 11:30 am. This is my find 3271 and find # 4 today. Followed the directions to where you need to bush bash. Make sure you have a plan to get back to the track. Zigzag my way through towards the cache. Easily found, still looks like a hut but definitely needs some TLC. Luckily I had backtrack on my gpsr to find my way back. You could easily get lost here, even though it was a short distance back to the track. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

Riding past the turnoff to this cache today, i pulled in and decided to finally go say hi to harry.
Long have i pondered what his house must look like with favourites still surmounting each time i visit back the coast.
Parking the bike up after a while i bushbashed my way in to find nobody home.. so signed the log and crept away.
No one eared dog spotted, or a semblance of a swing. Despite the attic in tatters, thoreau would be proud.
Definitely needs a smattering of love to fend off the hounds and restore her to glory.
Thanks jasenjanine for showing everyone harry and his hut out here.
I only found two caches today, both yours!

i dropped my husband at the coloundra races and decided to find some caches around here. Such a nice walk and a little bush to GZ what a great place for a cache and I loved the cache. thanks for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy. Giving this a FP for the crafty cache and beautiful spot
What a beautifully designed cache! A favourite for me! Unfortunately it has been overtaken by ants and is full of ant eggs. I managed to sign the log with difficulty. A beautiful place!
This was a target cache for us today... it’s hard to believe that a cache with this many fave points hasn’t been found in 2020...
The waypoints were spot on... and apart from the “massive” lizards there really were no surprises here...
Have a another fave point for putting something different in the field... tftc...
Was going to leave a Tb but decided against it... left a Little Treehouse book...

We parked at the gate and walked the trail before a bit of a bush bash to visit Harry’s House. What a great cache fav from us. TFTC

AC/DC started a three-week run at No.1 on the US album chart with 'For Those About To Rock We Salute You' the follow-up to their highly successful album 'Back In Black'. The name of the album was inspired by a book Angus Young read, entitled 'For Those About to Die, We Salute You', about Roman gladiators.

Been wanting to visit this one for years. Spotted a trail a ways back and wandwred down it for a while until I thought " who knows whats down here?" I may never be seen again. I think I heard duelling banjos. Backtracked to waypoint and continued on. Followed motorcycle trail to creek and headed off guided by trusty phone compass. Signed log and took photo. Now, which way did I come in????? TFTC.
We found ourselves having to make a trip up to the Sunshine Coast today, and with the Creation Carnival promotion by Geocaching HQ, we decided to target a few caches with high favourite points allocated to gain the various souvenirs
After a pleasant walk along the track and through the bush, we soon spotted the interesting looking camo. With our name added to the log book, we headed back to the car and on to the next cache on our list
Thank you jasenjanine for placing the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy We have added a favourite point for the interesting cache container [^]

A free morning presented itself, so what better than a drive up the coast for some exercise and a few caches . A pleasant walk was made through the bush, following a trail until some bush bashing was required. The container was easy to spot from a distance, and after close inspection, was opened to reveal a nice dry inner container. Love your work.

Time got the best of me unfortunately and this turned out to be my last find of the day but it was a pretty cool way to end the day. Somehow I managed to avoid the waitawhile that I spotted on the way in and the cache was clearly visible. Unfortunately, the white ants have moved in and done some remodelling but the structure is still standing for now. Very cool.
Thanks for the cache jasenjanine. This was find #3794. Please discover my trackable: MMGJ6B

Monday. We found Harry’s Hut in good order today. Great cache! The area is so lovely also – hope it remains this way. I can see why it has so many favourite points. I admit I’m very partial to this sort of terrain. Another FP from Slow Puncture for a great cache and the lovely area it is placed in
This was the only cache found on today's trip.
Thanks ***jasenjanine***, for showing us this place.

After we parked the car we applied the sunscreen and then sealed it on with some insect repellant. Suddenly we had an olive complexion just like the kind my son looks for in his trusted baristas. Let's be careful not to touch anything or it is going to stick.
Up the sandy trail we headed and then veered off on the new trail which bypasses the log. I can only blame my stupidity, which gets blamed for lots of things and rightly so, for thinking the trail led straight to GZ. It was only when I looked at the phone that we were further away than we were 50 metres ago. Maths isn't my strong suit, nor any from a deck of cards.
I looked for some sort of geo-trail which lead off in the needed direction, but it's clear that everyone makes their own track and so did we. You just have to bash through and hope you don't get tripped up on anything, except your own two left feet. Twenty metres out Mrs Woodyrothwell spied the cache through the trees and over I walked to sign the log. My wife was trying to get up her step count for a fundraiser she is doing this month and so started walking in circles near GZ which was funny because she looked like a drunk trying to find their front door. tftc

One must ask, how did you ever find this tree stump, what in the world were you possibly doing to find this stump!
Anyway, I bushed and I bashed following a little blue line on the GPS. And then voila, whats that in the distance! GPS down and off I went with a renewed sense of enthusiasm. Unfortunately I wasn't prepared so was in shorts and my legs well and truly paid the price.
All is well, nothing like a lot of antiseptic cream and it ends well. It's a great cache, and I'm so glad I found it. It was such a great cache and without a doubt deserves a favourite point.
Thanks JasenJanine, this makes smiley #472

Out for a day of caching with stortigirls and Mr Curious Quest. Next, we parked the geomobile and headed along the track to this one. Following the directions, we came to the log and climbed over, only to find a track a little further in. Then it was time for some bush bashing. We were vigilant for the nasty plants that we know can grow in this area and, on the whole, managed to avoid them. Avoiding the mud and the puddles was another matter. We reached GZ and managed to quickly spot the hut. It was about this time that it started to rain. Luckily for us, the canopy is quite thick, and it kept the initial rain from us. We quickly added our names to the log and then headed back to the geomobile at a fast pace. We were wet by the time we got there, but not soaked, so all was good. TFTC
Out caching with Selva Girls and Curious Quest today, we saw this cache just down the road from where we were caching, and decided to make the short trek in for a smilie despite the wet weather. We found the tree mentioned in the description and climbed over, then headed off to gz. Once off track we dodged mud, spiderwebs and pools of water, along with some lawyer vine. The lawyer vine was only fairly small compared to some we had encountered on previous adventures, but given the rain and hot weather that may not be the same story in a couple of weeks. The vey cute cache container was located quickly once in the right spot. No wonder it has so many favourites. We added our names to the log and retraced our steps, although this time finding a much easier way to the main track avoidng the fallen tree. Tftc jasenjanine
Today i was invited out up the coast with Selvagirls and Stortigirls to do some caching so jumped at the chance. Worth the walk even when it's raining. TFTC

I was staying up at Maleny for the weekend as a result of attending a wedding on my wife's side of the family. As part of the arrangements, I negotiated compensation, for having to suffer through the various events, in the form of a day of caching. The wife and daughter would travel up with her sister and I was free to roam the countryside on the way to Maleny, gathering caches at my leisure.
With my main mission for the day of walking around the trails of Ewen Maddock Dam now complete it was time for some less strenous caches as I slowly meandered my way up to Maleny as the afternoon grew later. I managed to find a roundabout way to get to the car parkinging spot and headed off. I was rather perplexed by the Energex calling card wedged behind the sign on the fence - "We failed to read the meter. Reason: Rough track". While pondering that I made my way to GZ where the cache was easily found. I did have a good chuckle as I had plans afoot to place a similar style, though larger, cache in a spot near Crows Nest. TFTC

I was asked by some friends to take them out for a day of Geocaching as they really enjoyed our last adventure. Today's goal was to finish what we had started at Ewen Maddock Dam.
This was our third find today on our way out to the dam. I had been waiting for an opportunity to find this one for a while now and today was just going to be the day! We parked the car. I got stuck climbing between the fence with my backpack and we journeyed the hard way to GZ. A quick walk with the GPS doing its usual dance around and I spotted something a little out of place.
Well look what we have here. A very cool cache container!
We signed, admired and replaced whilst getting eaten alive by mosquitos.
TFTC jasenjanine. I guess a FP is in order!

What a great cache! This cache had all of my favourite aspects of geocaching. There was the nice bushwalk with no muggles through an area I would never have gone to and a nice surprise at the end. Thanks jasenjanine for the cache
Wow. Very impressive craftsmanship! Beautifully created cache. We were hoping to all find this popular one together but no chance the wheelchair was getting through the off track bit. Far too many ouchies. Not sure how a previous geocacher got through with the a stroller... So only one of us got to see it (took some nice photos though). Walking in we saw some dog tracks so hoping it was only a naughty walker with their dog and not wild ones. Easy favourite from us. TFTC!
Epically cool. We've been talking about harry for a lil while. I thought we were going to leave it for the kids to find. .. but those 57 fav points called me in. .. i couldn't resist.... i had to find it, i just had to. My phone has been a shithead all day so i have been relying on my hunting buddies bones74 and XWF to get me to the general location (must remember to get better hunting buddies
Wow!!!! Awesome cache. Definitely a fav now. I nice little hike through the bush to find a great cache with EggZachary and Bones74. Great way to end a great cache finding day
Out and about with Egg Zachary and XWF. This green dot has been calling me for ages now but we always seem to be in such a hurry when we go past but today we had time to stop so made the most of the opportunity. Nice walk down the main path and then the bush-bashing started. A lot of flood debris around had me worried about finding the cache bit those worries were unfounded. Wasn't long until we had the cache. .... absolutely loved it and the work that went into it. Got attacked by a wait-a-while bush on the way out. Thanks for an another awesome cache jasenjanine. Fav point from me!!!!

Had this unclaimed smilie on my map for a while. Kept thinking it was going to be too hard to grab with the geotoddlers in tow. So with a great virtual badge up for grabs I thought I would enlist muggle hubby's help. Off we went and with hubby's creative driving we were within a 100mts of GZ. It took a bit of bush bashing and toddler carrying but we finally made it to the cache. What a fantastic container. It was then a rough bush bash back to the track. Hubby picked up a sucker friend which was not welcome but otherwise we survived. Thanks for the cache and the adventure.
Forgot to log this one! Very cool surprise in a great place. Gracias jasenjanine

Out and about with Jelly the Wonderdog, cruising the coast for a few caches. We were driving past this one and a last minute decision saw me pulling Spangle to a halt outside the forestry gates. A hop, skip and a run later, Jelly and myself were bounding over the large log. There was no way I was squeezing underneath it
We followed the trail until we were about 50 metres from GZ, then it was time to hit the bush. Hmm, the recent weekend of rain has certainly made this place very squishy A splish, splash and a splosh later I spied Harry's Hut Wow! That is very cute. While Jelly sniffed about, I left our marks in the log book and then replaced the cache as it had been found.

I had a few spare hours to fill in this morning, so it was time to find a few caches along Steve Irwin Way.
In to the wilderness I ventured, at times it felt like the Kokoda Trail
After a few minutes I stumbled across a very nicely constructed hut. I didn't see any one-eared dogs, though.
It took me a few moments to figure out how to open the hut....I'll blame it on the sweat in my eyes!
This cache is certainly worthy of a favourite point, excellently made!

It took me a few moments to figure out how to open the hut....I'll blame it on the sweat in my eyes!
This cache is certainly worthy of a favourite point, excellently made!

To start my caching day today I thought I would start my search with a cache that clearly has impressed a lot of my fellow cachers...
I was not disappointed. Thanks Jasenjanine...
After coming to my first hurdle of do I go under or over?? I decided to go under.. (only just making it.. lol). I fortunately didn't come across any dangerous plants and when I got to gz Radar wasn't home but I met Harry... being the hermit he is.. he didn't really want to stop and chat. He told me as he scuttled off that I could quickly do what I had to do as long as I didn't bother him; so I did just that.

Well, despite earlier dire posts, we found this a nice and easy Bush trek. No blood spots, either. Nobody around today except a few mozzies but the Bushmans seems to be takings care of them. Found at 7.50 am on 18th Jan 2015. TFTC.
On the way home from the zoo and hiding a new cache nearby, wanted to at least find one today. Noticed the number of favourite points and knew this one should be good.
Almost sunset, so hurried along the track to the turning point - had to wait for the rest of the spiderwebbs to catch up.
. Followed the trail into the bush then turned off where the arrow pointed. Saw some wait-a-whiles but managed to dodge them easily enough.
Getting close I spotted the hut - it sure is impressive. Really not expected in this setting.
Cooeed a few times to lead the others to the spot. We all admired Harry's handiwork. Very clever.
Took blinky cute ball thing, left spider.
A favourite point from us too.

Thanks for letting us visit Harry. Whistled for Radar but he wasn't home. Thanks for a great find.
We went in via what we thought was a geo-trail, but totally led us the wrong way. We went over numerous trees and then thought we should stop following the trail and start following the GPS. 10yr old led the way, I carried the baby and we played 'lets dodge the wait-a-while' while we bush bashed to GZ. Once there we found Harry's Hut. Lovely little abode, wouldn't mind a house like it myself. No sign of Harry or Radar, possibly because there was a large number of mosquitos around.
We went back out via the path we were supposed to go in on. The boy went over; I went under (backpack on my back, baby on my front) and nearly got stuck then back to the car.
Found: around 9:45am
Awesome cache - FP from us
Edited to say cache 75. TFTC

The tree cover had us going around in circles for a bit with the coords not changing for some time then jumping 10 metres. The cache was a delight! Then we found our way out again by following the trail of blood spots... You do know that wait-a-while can go through jeans, yes? As for bare arms, well... It was a fun hunt! Thanks, jasenjanine.
We enjoyed walking through this piece of bush land, and locating this fun cache.
A favourite point from us.
Many thanks for placing this cache, jasenjanine, for us and others to find.

We were on our way to Caloundra to pickup muggle brother and thought we could get a few caches on the way. Parked the car and hiked in to GZ, Loved the cache all in good order and it gets a favourite point from us.

A beautiful day to be out & about around this area whilst House Sitting in Caloundra... Decided to take in Steve Erwin Way and surrounds today...
A cache well worth visiting & a favorite to boot... A nice stroll along the track that motorbikes had ripped up and then a bit of bush bashing to finally find this fantastic cabin... No sign of radar but did hear something running through the bush... Another of those areas I wouldn't of visited if it wasn't for caching... Fantastic work gone into this one...
Found this well hidden cache, stamped log & replaced...
Thanks for the cache jasenjanine and for bringing me here... Dipped TB's...

Beautiful walk through the bush on a beautiful sunny Sunday with samdoggy. Picked up a geocoin and a travelbug. TFTH. TFTC
Found with driftwoodred whilst out on a cache hunt today. This is very cool. A favorite point from us. Placed a few swaps . Picked up some Travel bugs will move them along. TFTC, all is well with this cache & thanks so much for placing this gem.
Missed getting to this one last trip up this way. Made a point of going for it today.
Parked at the entry spot and set off. GPS counting down, then suddenly starts going up again . A recheck of description showed a couple of additional WP's. Okay, back on track and we start our trek through the bush. Finally arrive at GZ and spot what we came for. What a great cache.
With the log signed and everything back in place, it was time for photos then head back out.
Definitely a favourite from me. TFTH

Today I took the day off work, with permission of course. With the idea to take a little trip north to the Sunshine coast for a little caching without the weekend masses on the roads or elsewhere.
The plan today was to make finds on five Earthcache's and a few others on between. In total for the day I managed to make 9 finds, including the planned Earthcache, and the only thing to slow me down was the rain and a little photography to balance things out.
Harry's Hut is a cache that had been mentioned to me on each of the two or three occasions I have ventured north from Brisbane, but today was really the first time that the time of day, and weather was suitable to take the walk in.
The first path was quite nice, as the noise of the traffic faded away and the crunch of the sand underfoot. I just happily followed along until I found the fallen tree marking the other path. I followed along here cautiously, watching out for anything that may be spiky or thorny as today I was in shorts. As it turns out there was no problems as I come across nothing that seemed dangerous at all, and no blood was drawn.
Anyway I soon spotted Harry's Hut there in all it's glory. Harry was no home and it seems his dog was not either, as the ants have started an invasion it looks like. I managed to get the container without a bite though, signed off the log and dropped off a TB while picking up one that had sat here for a few months.

I have to first start off with apologising for my tardiness in getting this log done. It was just one of those weeks where there was not enough hours in the day…
This cache was part of a quick Sunday morning coastal power cache adventure with Fairy Mother.
I think I have no choice but to add to the ever growing Favourite points being accumulated by this cache. It is just awesome and great to see so much effort.
After a nice little stroll up the dirt track we turned where told to do so and started into the bush. Upon getting closer to the cache I was attached by the evil triffids. And had several grab onto my shirt and leg. Be careful as they guard this cache well.
When at GZ the cache was just sitting there in all its glory. Even a lizard was sitting at the cache admiring it.
Dropped of the geocoin ‘Room 20’ as I thought it would be a great spot for a Scout Coin (http://coord.info/TB5QJXN) to wait for the next lucky cacher.
Thanks for the cache jasenjanine and your awesome cache is in great order!

Definitely a Favourite !!
So nice to see something other than a plastic container or Eclipse Tin. Really nice surprise ! Love it ! Thanks for putting so much work and thought into this cache jasenjanine
We were met by a four legged reptile right at the door when we approached who appeared to be guarding the Hut, if Radar was around he may have eaten him, but we were welcomed and MinkosDes left behind a TB and I some trinkets.
Nice walk through the bush except for the Triffids that would jump out and catch onto us as we walked by. Watch out for the spiky plants....lol....they really grab on.

Had a big day out with a few others, and we left the best to last.
I had envisaged what we were going to find, and it wasn't far from my imagination.
Well worth finding this one, recommend it highly.

Out on an adventure with Dahumbug! After seeing this one has 43 favorite points just had to go see what all the attention was about! A nice bushwalking track that I didn't know exsisted in this area! Nice container it looks it has been hand sculpted! TFTC! A great end to a good day's adventure!
Probably not the ideal day to go bush bashing to find caches when the temperature is up around 35. Nevertheless off I set on the quest for Harry's Hut. Only 20 metres to go and I still can't see a hut, then there it was as good as the day it was built. A quick check for muggles, just kidding, then signed the log and off. Tftc and a favourite point from me.
Sneaky one on the way home after a day out with MEG#10
This is a very cool find! Definitely worth the walk even when it's raining.

Flying Feathers suggested this one on the way back to dropping her off to her car. I didn't read the description or see how many favourite points there were.. I had no idea how much of a pleasant surprise this would be.
Kudos to the CO for putting in this much effort!
Thanks to Harry's Hut for becoming my 100th cache and helping me achieve my goal of first 100 geocaches in the first 100 days of geocaching. I actually did this in 82 days!
The tiger swap was taken for my trophy. His name is now Leonard and he has gone to a good home with me ...as he was tired of getting chased down by the army figurine he shared this cache with!
