Dropping off Mini Mob to go tramping in the forest so a chance to grab some caches near by. #12 no tree was hurt in the finding of this one. TFTC.
After joining the CO at his CITO event this morning, I headed off on my bicycle to tackle some caches further out of town. My target area today was the subdivision area over the road towards Pukenui Forrest, but this was a nice easy stop along the way. One of the horses in the paddock came over to say hello while I was signing the log, TFTC
I looked in all the folds of the totara trees bark so don't bother looking there, as it's elsewhere.
Luckily it didn't take too long to find your lunch....as there was something rather smelly nearby ...maybe in a black rubbish bag?
Also found your size 12 Gumboot...right foot.
Cheers!

NZ Iceman and I are staying in the area for the weekend. After completing the Pukenui Loop Track we stopped for a couple more caches on the way back to where we were staying.
Nice quick find here after checking the hint. It seems the cache is missing the lid but the log is still in good condition.
Thanks for the cache.

Yah, found. Little log book had fallen out, it was dry though. Put back, all good. Onwards. Tftc
Well what a great Christmas New Years we have had so far it all started off in Friendly Feilding have Christmas lunch with the family then next day Boxing day off to Danniverke for a weeks holiday together so special first holiday with the Grandson hes only 7 months old, then we didn't know what or where to go next so ended up going to Napier and then across the Napier Taupo road got a cache and a trackable, not easy to stop all the time with a large caravan on the back. We finally got to Taupo and said where to now so we kept going and then we got a text message some plans next week had been transferred to the end of January so we could go away for an extra week. We ended up in Walton Gold course for two nights to finish off the Kiwi and another puzzle series got 46 caches in total some were traditionals as well, got that sorted and then headed off today decided we would do the Route 66 trail and Smilie trail so we ended up in Orewa so we are here for a few nights. We set off this morning and completed the Route 66 series had some lunch about 1.30pm then we decided to get some more traditionals in the area and then slowly head off to get some smilie series caches. once we were back to our accommodation had some tea we decided to go for a walk along the beach front and get a couple of caches. next day we headed towards Whangarei got settled into our accommodation then decided to go get a cache or two. this was cache number 4 for the day it was a nice quick ind lid was missing but log was all in there we signed the log and placed it back exactly where we found it. thank you for bring us to this area. TFTC
Went out too the Pukenui forest for a walk, got there then it started raining and it was raining hard so that was called off, and instead I did this cache to keep my streak going got to GZ, tread description and hint and made a quick find. TFTC
We have been trying to get a good day streak going. So collected this on the way hoem
#693 1:42 pm Decided to grab one more before heading home. This cache is one I had tried before but had to abandon early due to muggles (pseudo-DNF avenged ?!?). Oddly the cache was found earlier today and a muggle car passed three times while I was in the cachemobile. TFT(Ketchup'd)C.
Having to venture a bit further on my exercise jaunts now to collect caches. With the sprayed roadside and stoat trap right by the tree, I thought maybe the lunch had disappeared, as there was nothing in the obvious hiding place. Reread the clue and logs and realised I hadn't delved deep enough. Sure enough, there it was.

Grabbed after completing the Pukenui Loop track and while walking to meet back up with mum. TFTC
I don't get so far north very much but I well remembered some of this fun series done years ago, it was great to find another.

Oh no a rock wall great hint cache soon in hand ,....A healthy addition to you Lunch? TFTC
It was nice to park the car in the shade here while we searched for the cache. We didn't stop here for long as my buddy had quickly located your missing lunch box item. Thanks for the cleverly hidden cache
Out and about picking up a few more caches on my last day back up in Whangarei. A nice easy park and grab on my way past here. TFTC!
Geocaching on my birthday and #100! Quick easy find. Found the red fruit/vege but not under bark, under rock.
This was a nice straight forward cache to find, however it was impossible to retrieve the log book. Tried tweezers to extract but it was so tightly wedged in there we were starting to cause damage to the log. May have been caused by all this rain but didn't want to damage the log book any further. We can describe the fruit/vegetable that the log book was hidden in and the type of log book container. May want to check this one out when you get the chance.
Log is full, needs a replacement but I had already used my last piece sorry. tftc
Quick easy find thank you. My moko is enjoying his day out with me trying to beat me to find the cache.
The Pukenui Small Loop track bush walk cache mission with the Jordan Five is complete so we decided to pick up a couple of the near-by roadside caches before heading home for a late lunch.
Our son Jared, the cache hound, managed another find with this one and we explained the "Lost My Lunch" series to the Jordan Five.

Amazing what you find along your fence line!!! The greenhouses are on my property!
Nabbed this one after the Hotrodpete crew dropped us back at our car. A nice and easy find. TFTC
Found with Legoman 17. What a shame this is the only cache in this series I had time for before heading home. I am assuming that I get the theme and think it is a great idea. TFTC
Found the lost lunch just in time for dinner, we must nearly have found the whole lunch by now TFTC.

Yeah I found part of your lunch, retrieved the tiny log from inside but Oh No dropped the lid and could not find it for the life of me . . so I inserted a ear plug, a new one, and put the item in a seal-able plastic bag to keep it from going off! TFTC , Licklick [:o]
9130... Our lunch is safely packed away in our chilly bin. Did this one escape from the nearby glass houses[?] TFTC.

Thankfully one of the easier caches in the Lost my Lunch series. Nice quick find, took longer to extract the log than find the cache. TFTC

In the area today with time to pick off a few more caches. Grabbed cache and jumped out from behind the tree just as the school bus arrived!! Got out of there before I looked too dodgy!! T4TC!
Went looking for a couple of snacks to fill the gap between appointments...
did this one come from one of the hothouses up the road?

Nice quick stop in the Geonut while heading home after a FUN 24 hour road trip caching with Rednumb6.
