Unfortunately, I cannot see any information that indicates that steps have been taken to resolve the issue/s associated with this placement. Therefore as advised previously, the cache is being de-listed (Archived) to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.
The [**Geocache Maintenance guideline**](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance) explains what needs to happen with a Disable cache.
Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center article [**here**](http://support.groundspeak.com//index.php?pg=kb.page&id=70).
If you wish to contact me please send an email via my profile - [**Bunjil**,](https://coord.info/PR9GZ0K) and quote the cache name and GC number.

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###
----------
I notice from one or more log entries that this cache would seem to be in need of some help - **there appears to be a need for owner intervention.**
The guidelines indicated that periodic visits to check on the cache, as well as prompt attention to any logs that indicate there is a problem, are part of the [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) I cannot see any log that indicates a recent visit by the CO to this cache.
If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable it.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) Therefore, the cache is being temporarily disabling so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days, so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?**
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Repair and/or Replace your cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you don't plan on fixing it up then please [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 14 days). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will unfortunately have to de-list (Archive) the cache on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

I think we found the correct gully based on the picture but a thorough search including turning a lot of rocks over in all nearby gullies, yielded nothing.
I'm hindsight, it might have been easier to hike it down from the road than drive around to the site. Didn't risk going all the way down but the XTrail got me close to the GZ. I looked for a solid 45 minutes in the heat with a good idea what to look for without luck. Really disappointing, would love to have crossed this one off but that's the game Really enjoyed the trip regardless, thanks GeoMonkeys
On a weekend 4WD trip to Dixon's Long Point, Hill End and the Bridle Track and searching for caches along the way. Great to be away from the Big Smoke, even if it id just for a little while. Unfortunately we could not find this one. Thanks anyway for bringing us here as this in extremely interesting area to visit.
Easy one as a nice introduction to caching for a friend. Took a smurf and left an army man.
Great historical spot and nice sized container as well.
Quick find and we got some pics and read the history plaques.
Many thanks for the hide.

I could kick myself! I was at an orienteering event today right where this was but didn't think to look for it.
What fun we had here! We tried to drive to this cache, for future finders, you can't! You can get to within 90m but need a 4wd to do so. The day was beautiful and we had fun playing in the old gold mines and exploring the near by runs. They really made water run uphill? Wow!
Found with Team Geonads, Team Tojo and McFive.
Thanks GeoMonkeys, the one has been on our to do list for many years and it felt terrific to have finally been able to cross it off.

Great cache in a very interesting area. Took a Muggle along for the trip and now he wants a GPS. I think ill bring along my metal detector next time and have a scan in all the mullock heaps. might pay off with a find.
After a scout around the old grave yard we descended into the cache area to stop for a cuppa and cake. And a quick wander in search of gold...we left for gz armed with only a Tom tom and offline notes....must make note to self get more GPS batteries before leaving home ....we hit gz with little faith...thanks to the pics daddy cacher was able to come up trumps
Tftc loved being out and about

I have no fear !!
Especially of gold.
I love gold !! [^]
If I could find some I could get rich, rich, rich I tells yer !! [:o)]
So today in Ophir, I abandoned the geomobile down by the river crossing.
Despite charging camping fees to use the area the Ophir Reserve Commission (or whatever they are called) are not exactly living up to their end of the bargain and keeping the place clean and tidy [:o]
Yes indeed, a full 3 days after the Easter break and the rubbish bins were still full and piles of stuff outside the bins were being scattered by the wildlife
I wandered off on foot up the hill to GZ, some 500 metres a way.
I'm glad I used foot instead of tyre, because I got to see a lot of mines and diggings along the way and actually soak in the ambiance of the area
At GZ I poked around for a while and was getting nowhere !!
That seems to be par for the course if you are hunting treasure around here
Some hopefuls with metal detectors and shovels were poking around below GZ and not finding anything either
Eventually the GPS woke up and I found a likely pile of rocks that looked out of place.
Voila !! A cache
Mmmmm, pizza
Well at least my cache detector got me a treasure find
TFTC and great gold mining history scattered along my walk [^]

I found this one in 2007 in September ish I was on a navy ship we pulled in not too far from here I did a Mwr tour in this area. Tftc was one of my faves.
Great hide with very interesting mining surroundings.Left magnets and bangle.Took Bonobo TB to continue his journey.TFTC
Fantastic scenery. Took a yomp up and down the hill to find this on a day out goldpanning. TFTC
Just as we pulled up it started to rain but we were going to find this cache. Took awhile before we found the rocks and there was the cache. Took TB Kitty. TFTC
Found with Alcan4x4 on a caching weekend.

tftc sl quick find nice hide found with chambos. cache in good order. ended up finding it about 12m north of posted cords
We were staying at the nearby campground for a couple of days and this morning went for a little stroll on the Number 1 track. Quite a nice easy walk along the track with plenty of old gold diggings to see. In the vicinity of the cache there are a number of tunnels and cuttings to explore - sure looks like a lot of hard work was done here in days of yore. After completing the caching duties we continued on the circuit walk back to camp. Great spot.
Our 5535th overall find.
I had to find this old cache while I was out this way. It was a bit of a tougher search than I expected and having not looked at any pictures it took me a while to locate. It was very well hidden. I eventually got there though. I'll have to bring Shell and the girls out here one day.
Thanks GeoMonkeys for the cache.

We had a fantastic time camping at the nearby campground for a few days - what a super spot! Today we were leaving to go home after two weeks and 4000km on the road touring inland NSW (and a bit of QLD). But before we left we just had to find the cache here. Fortunately, we located it's whereabouts quickly, without any photos, and before long we were soon on the road again heading back to Sydney. Kind of wished we'd stayed for a few more days now. Loved it at Ophir!

Dont ask and I will not lie.
How to revisit a great area many times is not to find a cache so you have reason to visit again. This was my third visit out here and still enjoyed it. Thanks.

The gps brought us to the right spot but it took us a bit of scouting around to find the cache. Strike-a-light got a rose bush up his pants which seemed to cause him a bit of pain but I didn't feel a thing!
The photo did give me the right spot to look but I needed to be looking in the right spot to start with so.... maybe it isn't so much help!!
Fabulous cache!
The container was so cool on a fairly warm day and all the contents seemed in good condition.
TFTC, it was great!

Not an area to wear loose shorts and no undies, love the area and all the mines good cache. TFTC
Came back this way from Orange and spent a bit of time exploring the area. It was great to get out and walk. But alas I to was unable to locate this one.
Found it! Happy Days! After logging a few Second to Find's behind JAB's it was good to finally get one over him and clear an old DNF in the process. The cache is there and in good health. I replaced the bag for the log book and removed the ripped one. There was a hint of moister inside but a few minutes in the sun fixed that. Considering how long it has been here unfound it is in good condition. I think we may have suffered a bit of cache creap because I found it at s33'10.483 e149'14.298. SL TNLN TFTC

My cache hunting partner, and 7 year old daughter Bella, who wanted her own user name, shall now be known to non muggles as ,'Blosom Bee'. Unfortunetly we had no luck finding this Cache. We did spend half an hour looking. Our disapointment was tempered by the amazing terrain we found our selves in. Tunnels Gold, mine shafts, history great stuff.
It's a little sad to be the first to log a DNF on such a popular cache. GZ placed me on a high spot between 2 dig sites. I should have printed the picture because the rocks all start to look the same after a while. The recent rain had made the ground soft and there was a lot of freshly exposed rocks at the bottom of the dig sites (i.e. land slip, cave in) I hope the cache is ok, I'll ask a few questions before heading out for this one again.
Didn't have the picture clues with me, so it took a good 15 mins to find it. WOW, thats a lot of holes around there, Thanks for the interesting history lesson. Took geocoin.
Been a long time since i've been here. Good to return and look around again. Crossing is dry.

Parked above cache & walked down. The location was a few metres out but found none the less. As I was going down, threw a few rocks in the open shaft but no one yelled out so OK. The track in was washed away in a few places, one in particular saw 1/4 of the road undermined - damn this rain. TNLNSL.
Easy find. We found it on the way home (in the dark) from Orange after a day of both hiding and finding. This is an awesome cache. We've explored this area previously (before we knew about the cache) so we didn't miss anything in doing it at night. Cache was a little exposed so we covered up a little more but there are no signs of any water ingress. Thanks for the cache.
Found at 1100 on the way to Hill End, first for the day. Went 4WD'ng to locate it and drove right up into gully, and then another gully and then another gully etc, you get the drift.I went exploring all the gullies while the handbrake took of with the gps to, eventually, find it. Took Koala Bear [wifes choice] and left BLACK GEOASAURISIS [ EXTREMELY RARE IN BLACK AND HIGHLY COLLECTABLE]. My GPS was out by 4 m S.
Thanks Geomonkeys, great location and very interesting.

32°C is too hot for running around these hills. Thought we'd walk to where the pics show, which is a long way too far down. Worse part of that, is the climb back up. We were deliberating on our next move after the GPS didn't know where it was, when I looked to my right, and there it was. Thank goodness the handle was showing a little. TNLN. TFTC. SL. Everything still seems OK in the cache, although it has been a drought.
Did a bit of cross country to find this one, then found we could have almost driven to it! Oh well, needed the exercise anyway. Lots of exploring to do another day when more time to waste. GPS didn't know if it was coming or going. TNLN SL.
Container and contents seemed OK, covered as best as I could

Another one for the Hill End Event. The mines around here were very interesting. Excellent place.
Found as part of the 4x4 weekend.... The Mrs stayed behind with the geokiddies, she was a little paranoid about the mines. But nice cache location.
Was interesting to grab a Pesky cache so far from home. Especially with the cache setter present. Grabbed this one on the event, lined up and signed. Great location and scenery, thanks Pesky!

Our 600th find for the Team Webguy Clan, and we found it before the others in the caching horde did.
Signed the log and passed it on then went to checkout the interesting mine workings around the area. May have to come back to do some exploring when it's warmer.

What better way to do this cache than with the owner and on the 4x4 weekend. Thanks pesky
The third find for the day on the Hill End 4WD event weekend. This is yet another interesting place to visit which sadly until now we have only driven through. As an added bonus the owner of this cache was along on the event weekend.
13:01 Came in from the top, whilst the rats decided to come from the bottom. Team Webguy beat us to the punch. TNLN

Lots of water in the creek and the area really looked lovely. Found the cache but only after a long search - we thought the coords were a bit out. Anyway we were just happy to find it. Great location and thanks to GeoMonkeys for bringing us here as we may have missed this area otherwise.
great spot. took the donkey so he didn't have to work hard in the mines and left a paper stamp. wish i had the sun out for better photos.
We had heaps of fun on this caching day..this cache was 3rd on our list.
Found it with no troubles when we used Michel Dignand's co-ords.

Found at about 4.30pm. after an unsuccessful search for the nearby cache. Very warm and peaceful. Took map and left musical Irish frog.
Great one, enjoyed the history lesson - first ever gold strike in Australia etc. Enjoyed the not too far away Hill End Open Day while in the area. Thrilled to find our first Travel Bug in it - will take him for a drive and deliver him somewhere! Thanks.
Like past explorers I found it just off the coordinates provided, but hey that's half the fun trying to locate the treasure. It's good to have a few sets of eyes to look for sites that may hold the cache.
Great exploring the various mine workings and good to see the rivers flowing after the long drought!

Fantastic spot, beautiful afternoon. However, I reckon a better co-ord would be S 33° 10.483', E149° 14.301... only about 10 mters away, but maybe half-an-hour's searching?
We saw a fox while searching for this cache and when we got close to GZ we found a big lizzard hiding behind a rock, so I guess we saved its live
Dropped off Mr. Mugatu.

[GREAT FUN. We took a trip from Orange and I told my 4.5yr old that we were going treasure hunting. He wasn't very impressed because his grandmother told him that you can't find treasure any more. BOY WAS SHE WRONG!!!
It was disgustingly hot that day, but really good fun. Got the car (A VN Commodore) about 200 meters from the location with a bit of creative driving and walked down to ]MARS, I climbed the cliff [and the GPS got me within 1 meter of the cache. I went back got my son and we went and found the treasure. He was so excited
Well worth the trip and some pretty cool things inside. From Orange, we had been out found the cache and were back home in about 2 hours.
Thanks!]

We found the cache just as was described in the notes.
Our GPS put us about 8m from it. It took about ten minutes to find it. All the adults were being very clever and scientific but 9 year old Sebastian just looked carefully and he found it.
It is in good condition and full of lovley presents. For his efforts, Sebastian took a small plastic toy and was very proud.
We got our car to within 200m.
The site was left just as we found it.
Well done "Oh Fear"

I grew up not very far from here but it has been about 35 years since I was last here. There were no protective barriers or interpretive signs then, just the relics of the bygone era.
I drove across from #50 Fool's Gold cache via Hill End and Dixons Long Point. Despite what the signs say the road is passable by two wheel drive vehicles with care, particularly with the river as low as now is.
A short stroll took me to the cache where I logged and swapped. Thanks GeoMonkeys for the excuse to revisit my youth. (and thanks also for your program that made it so easy to load all NSW caches into my GPS)

Called in on our way to Sydney thought we'd call in and have a look. Found it easily. Logged in and took fishing lure and replaced it with a Blue Pen.
This was the first stop on our outback adventure but first we had to survive the all the hoons racing to go to the Bathurst 1000. After leaving the hoons behind we soon had the cache in hands and continued to the outback.
We normally look for caches by trying to find the rocks that have been arranged in a non-natural position as if they have been placed there by man rather than nature. This method fails dismally in a mining area.
We followed the track from the start, looping around and ending up doing about 1.5km to cover the 600m from the car.
I'm glad we did as we learnt so much about the area. Took a stubby holder and left the marble vase taken from AEIOU the previous day.
The road from Hill End to Ophir via Dixons-Long point is a great drive. A 4WD is handy but not absolutely necessary, a very interesting drive.
Our 5th cache for the weekend and the 2nd gold field.
Thanks for a great cache.

Found it, and like our predecessor – just on dark. Not only that, but it was about to rain. So after finding the cache, we didn’t hang around for long. Mind you, we did explore here and there on the way. Maybe more that expected, considering I hadn’t entered the geocache to “FIND†into my GPS, but the rough “end of path†I had programmed in for car assistance. Nifty place. Swapped the Chinese fan for a Glue Stick. We didn’t have a 4x4 vehicle, so we probably had to walk further than some. Certainly there were plenty of 4x4’s around. Unfortunately we found no gold.

we found it just on dark. It took us a while as we came the wrong way. We didn't take anything because we had nothing to leave, just logged it in the book
