Very wet log book. Too wet to sign so photographed instead. A very worthy spot for a cache. TFTC
Our very cache in the South Island - away for a family holiday doing some sight seeing but had to grab this on the way - tftc
On our way to Nelson we stopped at this Outlook and made a quick found.

This was our second stop on a day trip 'over the hill'. We had bought an elderly neighbour with us and she led the way as we made our way to GZ then to the viewing platform. A walk enjoyed by us all.
Thank you Sidewaze.
Thank you Sidewaze.
It was time to venture on and over the Hill and with a muggle friend for company we set out to cut a path of yellow. Countless times I have passed here both for business and pleasure but it took a cache to check it out. After the find we pressed on till the lookout and boy, is that worth it, a bird's view indeed! +1 Thank you Sidewaze
We spent 4 incredibly wonderful weeks in New Zealand for vacation and
had a lot of fun to discover all the marvels of this country.
Day 20 - on a cloudy and windy day we went to the Pupu Springs, a group of large and crystal clear springs,
sacred to the Maori people before going to Farewell Spit.
At this narrow sand spit we had a pleasant walk over hills to the beach - miles of sand as far the eye can see!
We finished off with a coffee and a delicious muffin at the café.
Besides we still found time for geocaching and picked up quite a few caches on our way.
This was one of them!

From 19th February to 20th March Stadibast and I visited New Zealand. Half of the time we made a trip around the North-Island. After a short stay in Auckland we went to: Bay of Islands, Cape Reinga, Rotorua and the Wai-o-Tapu-Thermal Wonderland, the great Taupo-lake… We made a Rafting Tour in the Waitomo-Glowworm-caves or hiked the Tongariro–Alpine-Crossing and, and…
In the second part of our holidays we visited the south island, hiked in the Abel-Tasman-Reserve , went to the Marlborough-Sounds, the Golden Bay, the Oparara-Arch, the Franz-Josef- and Fox-Glaciers, had a great sight on Mt. Cook and Mt. Tasman, relaxed at the Wanaka- and Hawea-Lakes,….
New Zealand is a very amazing country and with exceptional natural sites. We are very impressed of these great nature monuments and sights and we are happy that we met so much friendly and helpful people.
On the way back form Farewell-Spit to Takaka we passed this place. Great view.
Greetings from Germany.

The GPS battery died here, but the eagle eyed Mrs ToT just happened to spot the likely looking hide and there it was.. TFTC!!!
We enjoyed the opportunity to stop and stretch our legs at this scenic view. Lucky for us the cloud lifted so we were able to look down over the valley.
We have been on a road trip trough New Zealand for 25 days. We stopped here for a short walk to the lookout
Thanks for the cache

TFTC! Amazing views of the valley. We were coming back to Takaka from Riwaka, nice stop for some rest.
What is more important? The scenic view or the cache. What a question for a cache enthusiast!!!
Found today on way to pohara. What windy road (lots of twists and turns). Great little walk with fantastic view to finish. Tftc
Great place, love the path to the lookout! Unfortunately it was totaly cloudy this day.
A lot of toilet paper and Brown things around the cache, puhh.

#2 on our road trip to Golden Bay. Great wee walk, well worth it. Had the pleasure of meeting some other hunters at gz, mini cacher for the win again!

What a wonderful place, at least a couple of meters away. This actual place wasn´t that wonderful. In the middle of the bushes and with very fresh human poo just a couple of centimeters away from the cache.
But the view from Hawk´s Eye View was great so it´ll be a FP anyway.
Greets from Sweden!
Tack och bock!

Easy found with a fantastic overlook a few steps away. TFTC team4ms (Marko, Martina, Maximilian and Marie)
What an amazing day for climbing Takaka Hill – although I suspect any day would be amazing in this part of NZ. A balmy 32 degrees as my car wended its way up. I felt like I wanted to stop and appreciate the views that got more and more spectacular. This cache was just the excuse I needed for a proper stop. Awesome. Thank you so much for placing it.
On my way to Golden Bay and Wharariki Beach I stopped here and went to the lookout.
Really nice!!
Then I found this cache quickly!

Great view from the platform! This was a lovely wee walk to stretch our legs. Tftc
Find #2405. Exploring Tasman district for a few days, this my second day. Made an early start to get over the Takaka Hill (some 12kms longer and 250m higher than my local Rimutaka Hill). Cold wind blowing but sunny. Nice views and a lovely piece of bush. SL TFTC
Stopped for the view and found the cache. Unfortunately log book is so wet it's unsignable. TFTC !
NZDi and I have been planning a long weekend in Golden Bay for a month or so and today these plans came into fruition. Of course a long weekend out of town would not be complete without the odd cache thrown in and so a few caches were planned along the way. The weather back in Blenheim had been crap all week and the forecast for the weekend was not that flash either, however as soon as we got across the Whangamoa's we could see this part of the country was bathed in sunshine.
This was our third cache of the day and a short diversion from the main road brought us to an area with some handy facilities and a cache that gave us the opportunity to stretch our legs. Unfortunately the log book was only in one bag and that was not sealed so the log was sodden as a consequence. I managed to scrawl our details on it anyway and replaced it in both bags which I ensured were sealed, but I guess it won't dry out until summer.

This is so much a must stop place that I don't want to disable the cache. Please just do the best you can until I work out a way to prevent it from getting soaked all the time.
Found as we drove over the hill to Takaka. Great views! Unfortunately we didn't have a pen so couldn't sign. TFTC
Log book too wet to sign unfortunately. Beautiful view back towards Nelson from the lookout. TFTC
Good hide and go seek cache. Good distractions to be had and make sure you see the view from the platform! Great spot.
Found during our road trip From Nelson to the wild west and return. Great day's caching was had.
Enjoyed the information board and the Maori legend. Carried on to enjoy the lookout vista.
Cache find was straightforward. Wet cache, but log was safely bagged, so OK.
Log signed. Cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too

We (Tricia.L.McMillan and I) found this cache while we were on our vacation in New Zealand and drove down and up again through the entire country.
On our way from Westport to Nelson, we decided to make a little detour to watch the Te Waikoropupu Springs. On our way there we also stopped at this location to take a look from the viewing platform. While I was standing on the platform, I also checked and realized that there is a cache close by, so on our way back to the car, we quickly found it.
Thanks for putting a cache at such a nice place.

In Takaka for the weekend picking up a cache or two. Thanks to all those that have placed caches out there it made our holiday just that much more interesting. No panoramic views to day it's to foggy . Found the cache easily then went on to find the old cache just up the track a bit further so have signed both logs and tucked the old cache just under the boardwalk where it use to be
busy today with muggles but quickly found. Decided to part with our trackable "Frodo". Enjoy your next adventure with another cacher my friend.
Rooie was green with fear because of the winding road along the misty cliffs but she found the cache quick enough.

Found it! We continued our driving tour today with a visit Collingwood and beyond. A stop,to stretch our legs and take in the view and was also rewarded with a cache. Lots of people passing GZ. I wonder if we parked next to jojo&bobby? Stunning views of the valley. Amazing geological formations. TFTC SL
Mallorcatommy and I were travelling through the southern island of New Zealand. What an amazing, breath-taking landscape! On our way we did some nice walks, enjoyed ourselves and found great geocaches. Thanks to all owners for nice hiding spots... We wouldn't have been to a few places without these little boxes!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Every day we are traveling around is same but also different. Today we had again the pleasure to visit some very beautiful spots and were also able to find nearly placed geocaches. I thank every single owner for placing it and giving us with doing this an other good reason to come here.
Third cache en route to golden bay, great track and view back towards nelson. Had to be quick it's a busy one! Many thanks!
Found it during my trip from south of South Island to north of South Island.

A quick easy find, on our way to the viewpoint which certainly provides an impressive view. It was quite busy today, and we had our lunch in the car park. TFTC
Didn't manage to locate this one today! But enjoyed the view from the end of the track anyway!
On a geocaching holiday with tmann421. Exploring the area, lots of amazing places, views and caches. Thanks to all the CO's for making this such a memorable holiday.
Didn't realise this one had been disabled. Muggle deposit not quite so offensive.

A nice walk to Hawkes Lookout in the late light of the day.
Very beautiful cloudescape, but the cache was a little bit hard to find.
Funny big insects flying around - obviously it's the start of their working shift.
