We have travelled from Portland Victoria to South Australia and today we met up with Pprass at Port Elliot where we will stay for at least 3 days. After setting up camp and some lunch we toured around town collecting some caches along the way. Thanks for contributing to a fun day out Mrs Mellison

This one was a bit harder to find - lots of nooks and crannies! Not to mention rocks, a howling gale of a wind and threatening rain. We were glad to make the find and head back to the car even though the view is spectacular. Signed log with 4maal at 10:45am.
Thanks The Mellisons
Thanks The Mellisons
We headed out today as a family to Port Elliot and we had a great time walking and splashing around at the beach. This one was searched for on our walk. Gosh this one took some finding. I must have climbed over the rocks a dozen times - before I stepped on the cache! That is one way to make a find. TFTC The Mellisons
When I arrived OliLiLi160879 was already searching. Shortly after she made the find.

Found during another trip down from Victor Harbor to Port Elliot on a quest to make a significant dent on clearing up the caches in the area. Great views as the waves crashed in. Thanks for the cache The Mellisons!

Grabbing a few unfound caches around Port Elliott. The bay is a little smelly at the moment with the dead carp on the beaches from the recent floods in the Murray.
Fabulous views from GZ
Many thanks for the hide Mrs Mellison

Great spot..5 year old managed to get to it with help. Saw a seal while filling out the log book TFTC
Yep its a rocky view with amazing sized rocks to clamber around.
Heres a Rocky Road recipe .....
redients
▢500 g milk chocolate or dark chocolate
▢20 g coconut oil optional (see notes)
▢200 g marshmallows chopped
▢20 g (¼ cup) desiccated coconut
▢110 g raspberry lollies chopped in half (see notes)
▢75 g (½ cup) peanuts chopped (see notes)
Instructions
Conventional Method
Line the base and sides of an 20cm x 20cm square baking tray with baking paper.
Place the chocolate and coconut oil (optional) into a heatproof, microwave-safe bowl.
Heat, uncovered, on 50% power, in 30 second bursts, stirring every time with a metal spoon, for 4-5 minutes or until the chocolate and coconut oil melts.
Remove from the microwave and stir until smooth.
Stir through the chopped marshmallows, coconut, raspberry lollies and peanuts.
Spread the mixture into the prepared baking tray and place in the fridge for 2 hours or until completely set.
Use a sharp knife to cut into slices (if you are having trouble cutting the slice, run your knife under hot water and then dry completely before cutting - the heat will help to cut the slice evenly).

RECIPE NOTES & TIPS
Ingredients Info:
Chocolate - I like to use milk chocolate for my classic rocky road recipe. However, you can substitute with white or dark chocolate if you prefer. Choose a high quality chocolate for melting (I like to use Cadbury, Lindt or Nestle). The chocolate is the main ingredient in this recipe, so choosing a good one makes all the difference.
Coconut oil - add a little to your chocolate when melting it - this will help with cutting into neat slices.
Marshmallows - choose regular sized marshmallows for this recipe and cut in half. I use Pascall brand which is popular here in Australia.
Coconut - desiccated coconut is a classic ingredient in chocolate Rocky Road. However, if you don't like coconut, you can omit it entirely.
Peanuts - Rocky Road generally contains peanuts, however you can use any type of nuts you like (macadamias, pistachios, cashews etc). If catering for nut allergies, omit the nuts entirely.
Raspberry lollies - Allens raspberry lollies have cult status here in Australia, however, you can use any kind of soft jellies you like - or even Turkish delight!
Thanks for the cache The Mellisons, took nothing, left nothing and signed log.

We are finally able to travel interstate without heaps of loops to jump through. We thought we would take it easy and have a look around South Australia and grab a few more LGA's while we were here.
WE were out doing some touring of the Victor Harbour area and came up here for an afternoon coffee. We were too late for the coffee but we did manage to find the cache.
This was find number 3 for the day.

Grabbing a couple of caches while enjoying the views along the walking trails. The sun was shining and no wind this morning so the perfect conditions for geocaching.
Cache found without problems.

Had to come back as we forgot to bring our stamp/ pen down this morning. Lovely spot. Can't remember seeing such grand structure at South Australian beaches before. Definitely worth a look. TFTC
Yes, plenty of possibilities. So, leaving no stone unturned was the answer...

Dnf we enjoyed the walk and the views but decided that the path over the rocks was too dangerous for us. We are staying in Vicyor to celebrate our 53rd anniversary
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting & detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC Mrs Mellison

Nice day for a day trip to Victor Harbour. Lunch at Port Elliot Bakery for the pie and donut of the month. Had to get a few caches nearby. Didn't spend too long searching. TFTC
What a workout! Took us about 15 minutes with 4 of us looking. Highly recommend not wearing slides...
This one took us a while to find. We had 5 of us looking and we were about to give up when GeoWife found it neatly tucked away. So many places it could be but we were persistent and it paid off! TFTC
Went way too far but eventually got back on track to find cache. Great view. Tftc
Thank you for placing this cache is such an incredible location! Just a short stroll from our stay, it was a beautiful afternoon for a stroll along the cliffs with the geokid! TFTC
Down in the victor harbour region for a few days for a holiday so why not find a few caches along the way.
Parked in town and went for a nice loop around port Elliott and found a few caches along the way, nice spot here.

The team headed off to Adelaide for a wedding for a couple of weeks in the caravan, exploring Victorian and South Australian country side, with many campsites to stay at, and many more caches to find along the way. Thanks so much to the CO's maintaining these for us to explore.
Found at 8:26am on an early morning walk with Poppy the geodog. Love the scenery, the waves, the ocean, the vastness, the tranquility, the peacefulness, the water...
Not too hard to find, just need the clamber over the rocks to eliminate all the potential hiding areas. FP from me for such an impressive location.

I was precariously balanced in a very unladylike pose but The Roadies found it as a team and Michelle was in a much safer place TFTC
Having a sightseeing day out with our visiting fellow cacher, The Skaffies.
A great hiding area which took a bit of searching before the cache was in hand. (NB no longer a cliplock container)
A stunning day with calm blue water, perfect for impressing a visitor!
Thanks for the cache The Mellisons.

Finally after 3 tries. Coordinates maybe slightly off, few metres seaside of where we were initially looking
In Port Elliott today, great day for caching out to get a few before the heat hits later this week. TFTC
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I travelled to Victor Harbor for the day to target a few Adventure Labs. We walked around Granite Island, and then did a loop of The Bluff (Rosetta Head) in the afternoon. Finally, we briefly stopped at Port Elliott beach for a swim, and then returned to Adelaide via Crows Nest Road.
Awesome views of the granite from here! The geocache took a good 10-15 min to find, searching in amongst the rocks. It just turned out to be in a great little hide tucked away. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks The Mellisons for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.
