I, too, am grateful to Rotary and for the sensitive and sensible hiding approach of imadegawa. I enjoyed my visit to the temple on a very very hot Kyoto day, and because it was hot I decided to walk to the rock garden (lucky there was SOME shade along the way). This cache was partway along my route, although I had to wait for a queue of bus-catching muggles to depart before retrieving the cache. Kinkakuji is very beautiful ... but also very full of tourists (oops, I was one of them!). Thanks for the cache, imadegawa.

We found after visiting Kinkakuji Temple this afternoon. Perfect time to see the shimmering of the gold in the afternoon sun. Simply gorgeous! TFTC.

The host father soon located this one after a quick look at the hint. A great day in Kyoto today kinkakuji temple was a highlight. It's so pretty!
