I think our car wouldve died coming up here so we left it on coal mine road and started the exhausting trek up the views where beautiful and my legs were exercised cache was easy to find TFTC find 338 thanks Juc for this cache
Nearly gave this one a miss as the GPS wanted us to access the area in a way that was impossible in a motorhome. We were leaving the area when Mr Beetle noticed a track that looked a bit better and in no time we were at the top. After grabbing the required photo for the GCA trig up here we wandered the short distance to GZ where the cache was quickly spotted. Noticed there was a pen outside the container, don't know if it was accidently left or whether it was left here by the CO. No reason for finders to claim a find and say they couldn't sign because they 'forgot their pen' here. Something which really annoys me - what cacher doesn't carry a pen? We always have two with us in case one fails. Thanks juc cacher.
Down on the surf coast for the weekend, so a perfect chance to knock off some caches on a cold and windy Saturday
Nice easy find and a good excuse to put the 4wd in low range and come up the hard way tftc

Find No. 4332. Found with FUF009 at 5.15pm
Another weekend in Anglesea caching the area and finding caches we didn't get last time we were here (at the end of May). Geodog Penny came with us again and this time FUF009 came along as well. FUF009 hasn't been down to this area caching since October 2018 so he had quite a few to find. Today we made our way to Lorne caching along the way as we went.
Once we finished in Lorne we then headed back to Anglesea, stopping along the way to grab some of the ones we didn't get on the way down. As it was still daylight, we decided to go to the other side of Anglesea to see if we could get this one. Parked on the corner at WP1, then Mr Tyred n Cranky and FUF009 walked along the track, some 470m, to locate the cache. Mrs Tyred n Cranky and Geodog Penny stayed at the van as it was too far for Penny to walk there and back.
Cache found, log signed, and back to the van they came. Then it was time to go into Anglesea to grab something for tea and go back to our accommodation.

Find # 12736
Found with Tyred n Cranky.
A family weekend away in Anglesea. Down here to enjoy and cache the area.
Last time I was in Anglesea was Oct 2018 and I had left a few unfound. So back again to claim some more finds in the area and tackle the AdLabs
Great little view over to the old powerstation tower.
Well worth the walk up here.
Quick grab at GZ.

Parked at the suggested spot near the highway, and was joined by a family looking for a surfboard that had come off the trailer. When I say family I mean Mum and Dad - the kids were staying put. We kept our eyes peeled as we went to GZ, but couldn’t spot it.
GZ has good views, especially over the mine site. The trees interfere with the views towards Roadknight though. Hide was soon found in excellent condition. Thanks juc cacher for letting us in on this secret.

Cache has been replaced. I had a bit of a look around GZ in the rain and mozzies, but the moved original cache was not to be found.
Please re-hide caches where you found them, don't move and rehide.

We checked everywhere. I don’t think the hint is still like her. I’m pretty sure someone moved.
Looks like I am going to have to disable this one until my return. Seems someone has moved the cache and it's obviously far enough away that it's not findeable.
Don't move caches please !
Don't move caches please !
Spent a fair bit of time roaming around to find it would be great if the person who moved it (see comments below) had left a clue where it’s left
Had a quick look while on a work trip, couldn't find it after a few minutes.. will have to come back!
Out for a drive with the geodogs Mini Michi, Teeny Treek and Gypsy Girl. They were wanting a run at Point Impossible.
We decided to take a picnic and drive around a little and hopefully find a cache.
We were able to find this cache and once we had completed signing duties we headed off back home.
Thank you for this cache juc_cacher.

Visiting the area for the week with Bogonghazy. Quick find. Thanks for placing the geocache
Not such good beach weather so good old geocaching a great way to explore a new area with Nan and Pa. Enjoyed the lovely bushland and walk from our nearby rental house. Good stiff to walk to the top when Geogirl16 spotted the cache quickly and celebrated with her geovictory dance. TFTC.
Vic Emergency notified me a couple of days ago the burn at GZ had been declared safe. Cache has been returned to its rightful hide. There are still burns going on in the general Anglesea Heath district, but GZ and access to it are fully open and fine. Please be aware vehicles may still be using roads and tracks to access other burns, so please be careful in the area.
Word came through on the Vic Emergency app that there is a planned burn which includes the immediate GZ area. The alert said the burn could be ignited any time within the next 10 days, so I have retrieved the container and will replace once the area is reopened after the burn. Hopefully GZ itself is left afterwards
Babysitting our grand-dog, a black German Shepherd. This cache was a walk from home. Love this view!
A great little family walk in a public holiday. Great view. Would be very hard to do if damp. TFTC.
This one was some fun as I looked at the obstacle, low range with selected!
Made this one a drive-by as we retreated back down the hill.

Staying in Anglesea for a few days and grabbing a few caches as we go. We spent an hour here with the grandkids throwing rocks down the steep hill near by. A quick find with accurate co-ords. Great views of the coal mine. The Trig structure has been push on its side.
Thanks **juc_cacher**

Find #140. We took the road 'more traveled' in without issues. GPS was playing up but Geoboy managed to find the cache shortly after arriving. Fantastic view! Took a cow-shaped eraser and left a few dinosaurs. Then made our way down the Treekeeper/Powerline track. The track was wet and very slippery - almost bit off more than we could chew! Definitely suited to capable 4x4s when wet. Our first trig point - hopefully many more to come. TFTC!
Late log due to my app not working correctly when this find took place. Found with Minniemousejojo
After a little solo angelsea adventure thought id give this one a go
.. as it turns out this is where my dad use to take my 4wding when I was younger. I have some fond memories of this exact location. Thanks for the blast from the past and the cache

Nice easy find. Out in the open though so i made sure to cover and protect it a bit better
Left the car back on the main road and went for a stroll.
We probably could have driven but it was a nice day for a walk anyway.
Spectacular view from GZ too. Cache was safe and sound in its location.
Thanks for bringing us here juc_cacher.
Chiefton!!!

Popped in here today to check that planned burns hadn't made it this far out of their area. All good here. For some reason, parks Vic have seen fit to remove the viewing platform nearby, but the view is still there. So is most of the power station at the moment, in spite of Alcoa's best efforts to blow it up the other day. Wonder when they'll actually succeed.
With the local annual rover surfmoot on at Eumerella there was no excuse for me to not find this one, being so close to me that is. So this early morning one Buhfuhguh headed up this hill for treasures unseen, ancient tree pit was seen with all its glorious machinations. Treasures found and signed, this giant took nothing only leaving his name. Thanks for the cache and the view. Now to meet up with CaptnRoverman to head to the evebt in Lara
The first on what is shaping up to an amazing day! Thankfully hubby is a seasoned 4WD'er and we made it to GZ with little trouble, definitely needed a 4Wd, the track was not for the weak hearted!!
So now we have our first smiley for the day. TFTC.
Another find by the McPhail family.
