The last find for the afternoon, it took a bit of the GPS leading me all over the place before I zeroed in on the other side of the fence. Thanks wesso!
Heading to Caloundra to meet up with caching friends and stopped off to get a few Smilies along the way. This was a quick and easy one after I found a park and short walk. Log signed and cache replaced as found. I think I picked up a tick here, just a bonus. TFTC
ay 2 of the Caloundra music festival and after a night of L.A.B and the Melbourne Ska Orchestra it was time to head out and capture a few more sunny coast caches.I decided to head a little more inland today and quickly arrived at the cache parking spot. A swift walk to GZ and it wasnt long before the cache was in hand and the smilie face was mine.I logged the cache and returned it safely to its hides hole. Back to the car and off on the next sunny coast adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to fellow cachers to be found.
GPS sent us on a bit of a wild goose chase. Found it eventually. Should have looked at hint earlier. TFTC

Second trip to the Sunshine Coast in a week, this time to pick up my caching bag from a kind workman who found it on a seat near a cache. Good detective work to locate me. (Now have contact details in the bag)
May have parked illegally on this road but was not going to be long hopefully. Made my way to GZ but was having trouble finding it but searched one place like the hint and found it.
Was really surprised to see so much rubbish dumped nearby. Went can't people take it to the tip instead of the bush...

Found with Duppers. Quick retrieval, log signed and returned as found. #14 for the day. TFTC, & TFTSF
I was already having to travel to the Sunshine Coast for work for the coming week so I decided to head up a day early with my wife and pick up a few caches along the way.
First opportunity today to find a cache a little closer to terra firma. Approaching GZ I was a little worried I may have been on the wrong side of the fence, but I need not have been concerned as the cache was safely tucked away and accessible. TFTC

We headed up to the beautiful Sunshine Coast for the day to attend the memorial service of our Nanna. So, we couldn’t put this opportunity down to grab this little cache while here. Once at Ground zero we quickly made the find and added our little ink mark to the logbook and replaced it as found.

Wesso Family I found your cache Take The Reins on 6/3/2022, 3:30 pm. This is my find 3279 and find # 12 today. A quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
A drive north to grab a few sunshine coast caches. I am trying to get my totals up for a particular challenge series. There are two is this area which will help.
The hint helped sort of but there is not much a magnet can stick to, lol.
I signed the log and replaced as found and moved onto the next one in the area. thanks for the hide and bringing me here.

My haul today was 14 traditional, 2 earthcache and 2 adventure labs with 7 waypoints. In the end the finds count was 23 finds and 2 DNF.
I had lots of fun today.
Sorry for the generic log.

Mrs Domsky spotted this one very quickly and we soon had our name added to the log here. It looks like someone has been living here recently, although it would appear that they have moved on. A curious mix of bits and pieces on the ground.

Lots of rubbish surrounding it but other than that it was nice. Hint really gave it away.
Seems some rubbish was dumped here and a fire started was scared cache would not be here.....but it was.
Visiting from the Gold Coast and met up with geo friends for a couple of hours to grab a few local caches.
Lucky there was a half opened gate 20 mtrs from GZ or else we would of had to go all the way back out and come down the path near the road.
Sad to say that lots of rubbish has been dumped right near GZ but happy to say cache is still in good order and nicely covered.

An awesome half day out today with Ponchomon11 - sadly cut short so we could return home for lockdown, but first up a few caches to tide me over a few days. Approached this from the wrong angle at first, but soon corrected and made a good quick find.
Thanks wesso family for entertaining me at this location.

Caching with Mr Pprime (P`) today before the event that we wanted to go to. Pprime had a list of 10 caches that he wanted to find and we found 27 in total. Number 3 for me today but we originally went to try and get this from the wrong side of the fence after collecting the previous one. Got to meet a local dog.
We were not able to get to the event as we wanted to be back home before lockdown.

Earlier in the week PirateLinda suggested visiting the Sunny Coast today, so I selected Bells Creek to start the day…
This is our tenth find for the day… a candidate location for a mini CITO… once I spotted the cache it was a quick retrieval… I was concerned that the cache might be cleaned up should the council ever come to this corner of the world, so I’ve moved some of the trash further away and added a little more camo… tttc…

Found out with Peppa for the day. Bit messy at GZ at the moment as someone has had a little burn-off of their rubbish. Some people really do astound me with what they get up to. Peppa put the cache back under a little more cover as he was worried when the Council does a clean up the cache container might be taken away with the rubbish

Picking the geokiddos up from their mum this afternoon, had some time to kill before hand, so thought I'd target this area.
I think an animal might have nudged this one, definatley out in the open but all in good condition. Took a TB.

i dropped my husband at the coloundra races and decided to find some caches around here. thanks to the hint I found the cache in no time. thanks for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy.
Out and about for an adventure with my mate CC. There is lots of deadfall and rubbish at GZ. Dodged in and around and found the cache. Took longer than we liked, but we were cautious due to the state of GZ. TFTC.

This cache was hunted for yesterday on our meanderings around the area..
took longer than it should have, had to circle in on gz, despite the white elephant.
no muggles anywhere near made the find a much easier.
last find in september, woot!
cheers wesso for another cache somewhere i've surprisngly never been.

oops, meant to log horse power instead. er... we found this one too! the spare logs and ziplocks were away in the car, but this cache definitely needs a spruce up with some replacements, sorry didn't have any on hand..
** this is 300 caches for me now** Easy cache to find if you use the hint. Tftc.
One of the quickest finds of the day.
No pony club happening here today though. Mrs Beetle was very involved with the Pony Club Association of Tasmania for more years than she cares to remember. This looked like a nicely set up site with a very fancy and impressive sign.
Thanks.

There is a definite horse theme to the caches in the area, I wonder why ? StreetWalker parked the wee Barina up on the grass (I'm not sure if his father, the Barina owner, would approve of some of the places we have taken the car) so it was a short walk to GZ where the cache was quickly found.
As I began the walk back to the car, I realised I still had the pen from the container in my hand. Luckily I realised now rather than several kms away! TFTC.

Thursday. Talk about making this harder than it needed to be… I stared at the obvious location for a minute before deciding that it didn’t look like there was anything there and then upon reading a previous log that talked about going through bush – well, I took the way where there are heaps of tomato plants growing (pity there aren’t any tomatoes on them!) Went back to the original spot and quickly located the well hidden cache container.
This was the 3rd of 12 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Wesso Family***, for showing us this place.

Staying in an AirBnB on Ascot Way so had to look for a few close caches. Out for an early morning walk. So many great walkways and parks. Only downside were the mosquitoes. Thanks to the Wesso family for so many local caches, made our visit a lot more entertaining. No problems here. TFTC
Thought I could get here from somewhere over the rainbow, but no. Back to the roundabout and back to the traffic lights. Easy find thanks. Cache and log in good condition. Merry Christmas.
Another quick find on a quiet afternoon. Just followed the hint to a nice sized container to leave a swap. TFTC
Lucky this one, is as the hint suggests, as we are taking the dogs out at dawn before the rain ramps up again on our last day of hols and picking up a cache a day...no snakes, yippee and a decent size container. Tftc wesso family
No work today so decided to do some caches in Caloundra area.nice quick find TFTC.
Pulled up near gz this morning and the hint told us exactly where to find the cache. Nice quick find for us at this cache. Tftc wesso family.
Out for a day of caching with stortigirls. We pulled up nearby and wandered over to GZ. There, we quickly located the cache and signed the log. TFTC
Today I had between school hours to nab a few smilies to make an upcoming milestone, and the area around Caloundra was the target. Nice to see a good sized container, makes for a change from mint tins and bison tubes.

Horse racing on today so there was quite a bit of traffic. Not a hard find, but hopefully not spotted before returning it.
Time for a quick cache for the day and having to visit someone in the area this was the closest /easiest to get. Glad to see this size cache I havent seen one like this for a little while, time to head home for a movie marathon lol TFTC
Wine, log, wine, log, wine, wine, log. Its a kind or morse code (and a kind of cry for help). For me logging and wine go hand in hand but that has nothing to do with this cache.
After finding the nearby cache in the racecourse parking area we decided to head up the little dirt road within the fence line. It wasn't far but I was waiting for someone to come and say "you can't be here" or "get out goose" or "can I bunga durry?", but no one came. We weren't sure whether this cache was inside the racecourse or outside so we thought a quick look would be in order.
I was still peaking that maybe I was in some private property, but in the end this cache can be grabbed from either side of the fence, but the road-side is definitely easier. We could pull the cache under the fence but re-applying the natural cover took some nimble fingers. It looks like this area might have been under water so we sun-dried the cache (log was good) and wiped down some of the swaps, and it lives to see another day.
As I was returning to the vehicle I was surprised by someone on the grassy knoll. tftc

Travelling around Australia and currently in Queensland.
Caravan set up at Beerwah Sportsground so we decided to head out to find a few caches in the surrounding area. A list was constructed but with a late start it was dark o'clock when we returned home.
An interesting day of walks, fave points, scenic areas. Glad we came to this region.

The last stop for the day before heading for the hotel and getting ready to go to a show tonight. So I had to choose a slightly different park to that suggested as the roadworks do not really leave that option open at the moment. So I made things quick and soon had the cache in hand. I got the log signed and all replaced before making my way across to Caloundra in the rain.

Oh I didn't see the pony club. Too much in thoughts about geocaching... Cache was a quick find.
Up with Nadine1989 today for some local caches before Wesso's birthday event.
Fortunately, the rains earlier had not waterlogged the ground here, so it was easy to park off the road and walk to the corner where something familiar was hiding a cache!

Tried for a early morning start today but lost almost 30 minutes trying to convince the apprentice Geo Dawg that he had to say at home and keep his sister company he was having none of this and steadfastly refused to budge a inch from his spot onm the front seat, With a little bit of shove and push he was removed from the vehicle muttering under his breath you'll never find them without me. Finally got under way heading to The Little Mountain Brithday Event Found on the way to the event, Nice little cache Quick Find

This Day in History
Saturday, February 6, 1926. : The South Australian nickname "crow-eater" is first explained in the Adelaide newspaper, the Register.
South Australians have long been referred to as "crow-eaters", but most people do not know the origin of the nickname. Several explanations for the term have been made through the years, the first being published in the newspaper, the 'Register', on 6 February 1925. On this day, the paper reported the following:
"[It] was first applied to some of the original settlers at Mount Barker who - whether from necessity or a desire to sample strange native fauna - killed, cooked and ate some crows disguised under the term "Mount Barker pheasants"... Later the term... was applied generally to all."
On 15 March 1927, another report suggested the term originated as early as the 1850s. A reader recounted how, when his father and grandfather arrived at the gold diggings in Bendigo, upon being discovered as coming from South Australia they were accused of being "crow eaters". This was because their arrival had been preceded by another group of South Australians who had run out of food during their journey across from their home state and had been forced to shoot crows to eat. When they recounted their experience, they were dubbed "crow-eaters", a term which was henceforth applied to all new arrivals from South Australia.

O'dear this one is going to be disabled until the new road for Caloundra South is completed. According to a surveyor I was speaking to, the new road is going right through my GZ.
I have a new area in mind just waiting to see if it's going to be too close to the new road works.
Sorry for any inconvenience.........
