Logs
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
Went on a walk down the path but found nothing at all. This was the first one, but didn't find it only to find that it was currently unavailable. A bit of a disappointment.
Clearly the cache needs to be archived given no action in attending to the need to maintain. Thanks.
Well found what's left anyway. Was passing through and did not realise the current status of this cache. Signed the card.
I'm disabling until I can get a chance to replace the cache. Thanks for letting me know.
Found at 12:53 PM GAFF1. We have been along these trails many times and seen the creeks in full flood. Today the creek was a mere trickle and just as well as we were able to pick up the remnants of the cache that was strewn around. Looks like the trolls have turned into muggles!
Thanks chuck_thunder
Thanks chuck_thunder
Cache has been muggled and needs to be replaced. Zip lock bag, stash note and calling card are all that is left.
Q: what's a person of my vintage doing crawling over rocks this size? A: enjoying myself immensely! TFTC. (Notes to Self: 1. Put fresh batteries into GPS - whilst batteries going dead just before GZ may increase the excitement and options, it's not really that helpful. 2. Next time, leave the gopher at the top - they are NOT designed for this sort of challenge. Just kidding - do a new design as per Mr Hayman senior. 3. Age is only a barrier when the mind's willingness is greater than the body's capability. ) ...and so ends the philosophy lesson. WHERE ARE THOSE SPARE BATTERIES????
Family dinner near by, so I thought I would grab this one with Happy Chappies. Plus it was a good excuse to use my new stickers

After witnessing the nearby wormhole in action, something a little more down to earth was in order, so after a short, but fun, scramble, I was able to sign the log in yet another nice sized container. Today has been such a relief after a spate of micro caches.

Found it. The cache has been scattered around the area. The main contents of the cache were in the original spot. The two cars had sunk into the creek but we retrieved them. The body of the Sistema container was floating on the creek and the inside was still dry. The lid of the Sistema container had its seal popped out and was found beside the stream and we retrieved that too. We logged it then placed all of it back along with securing it with a manmade rock with pebbles cemented on it.
We assume this is the work of birds as the spot where the cache is hidden is a good place for their nests.

I let epicmac grab this one, stuffed knee means climbing around on this stuff is a very bad idea was enjoying the pretty creek until found the deceased kitten
#1357 Had been to this one a couple of times earlier in wetter months but decided not to attempt as there is obvious signs of the rock wall having given way and slipped a little. Returned today after dry weather and did the deed, albeit rather warily. Soil under those rocks have been eroded away as well so I really think this is a dangerous place to be climbing around. Perhaps the CO should check it out - in particular the ground cracks and slippage just above the rocks. Thanks chuck_thunder.
Having a nice after work walkabout in the area. Wasn't sure if I accessed the track correctly as I found a hole in a fence that led to it. After that it wasn't too long before I spotted the trolls home and the cache's hiding place. TFTC, Biggles.
Easy find after deciding which side to look. But not to good for my fear of spiders!

It was too good an afternoon to stay inside so after spending some productive time in the garden I jumped in the car and headed out to check on one of my caches and make my find for today. Arrived nearby and set out for the pleasant stroll to GZ along the track, it was a perfect day for this and soon I was opening the cache while enjoying the view. As I had brought along a novel in case GZ was busy with muggles I decided to extend my stay and enjoyed a few minutes reading in peace.
Thanks chuck_thunder

Walked in on the right side of the creek, then clambered down to the well hidden cache tucked carefully away. Not bad for an oldie, a favourite point, thanks chuck thunder.
Taking a friend on his first caching experience I thought this sounded like a fun one. It proved to be so as thomo even took on the challenge of the bridge before we made find. Great spot for a cache. Tftc
Been waiting a while to do this one because of the unpredictable wind and rain.
Left a chicken toy.

Yes a bit of climb, but nothing to really worry about. A nice little hide, one unlikely to be muggled.

Today I went to visit my friend Bruce who is driving a caravan to Perth with his wife in a few weeks. I have given him my old trusty GPS Map 60 CSx and loaded it up with caches along the highways between here and Perth.
On the way to Bruce's place, and on my way back home, I managed to stop and find a few caches along the way.
I parked about 250m away and enjoyed the walk to this one.
The name told me exactly where it would be and so it was an easy find. I was a bit worried that someone might suffer a fall looking for this cache, but I guess you just need to be careful.
I took the resident TB -The Eastgoing Zax

I found myself on the wrong side of the creek. While I was tempted to try the bridge, common sense prevailed & I found another way across.
Great hide. Took nothing, left a TB & signed the log.
Thanks.

A nice stroll into gz, and then a think. I am happy enough on these items but they were a bit wet today. With a bit of care all was well and the good hide was soon found. Thanks chuck_thunder
Trying to catch up finds from months ago, apologies for the belated log.
Out on a caching outing in the company of Coley_Babee, meeting up with other friends later in the evening to complete a few night caches in the area.
Didn't see any trolls today, just the cache.

Found the wrong side of the creek to come in here, as you do.
Was a great little walk, and after crossing had to wait for a young family to clear the area before starting the search. A lot of hiding spots here, but when spotted you know it's THE place.

Forgot to take my swap which was a lego guy and there ended up being one there anyway. Battled the harsh cliff face to find it quite easily. My second ever find!
GPS had me on the wrong side. Lucky there wasn't a lot of water so i could easily jump over. Wasn't game enough to try the bridge! Great spot
found out on a cacheing day with sksjd i wasnt even atempting the bridge just climbing the rocks were bad enough lol the cache was nice and dry in its hidey hole with some great swaps tftc took a toy phone left a sticker and some other swaps

It was a short but enjoyable walk to GZ where the cache was quickly found. I didn't try the bridge - perhaps another day. Thanks for the cache.
Found at 2:37pm.
Looking for bigger sized caches in the area while out with the geokids, this one fitted the bill. I left the kids on lookout duty and clambered down for a pretty easy find.
Kids made some swaps and I signed and replaced between muggles.
Thanks chuck_thunder for the nice big cache.

Great hide. Had my anti-arachnid gloves on just in case, but they weren't needed. Found the cache well concealed and dry. TFTC
Out for a few caches this afternoon and this one was next on the list. After trying a couple of parking spots before starting the walk to GZ. I am glad I guessed he correct side of the creek (though not too hard!) as the "bridge" is rather narrow though a couple of muggles did prove that it does work by demonstrating a crossing - then nicking off so I could hunt unobserved. Did the rock clamber and found the cache after a short search. This is a nice location in the middle of suburbia, thanks to chuck thunder forbringing me here, dropped a TB I have had in the caching bag for way too long.
Great boulders! Had a scramble around as I looked for the cache. Sat on a rock to sign the cache in the sunshine then returned it and moved on. Thanks for the cache and the walk in the sun.
Fun night of caching been a while and is great to get out and track them down TFTC SL

We found this cache today at 2:40pm as the 4th of 7 on our Sunday Arvo Sortee. We used to live only a few hundred metres from this path and it brought back many happy memories of buying hot dogs and pink iced donuts from the nearby seven eleven and eating them whilst the whole family walked along this very path. Nice to revisit and our cache of the day. Thanks from D, HA & A B-A.
2nd for the day on an early morning run before breakfast... found and logged, great place, don't fall in ... TFTC
This cache is a nice little detour from my normal cycle route home from work - so I've saved it for such a day as this. I'd actually scoped it out last week and that's when i realised that the 'bridge' (as it appeared on google earth) was not what I thought!! Delightful!
So today I was without GPSr but felt confident, so I pulled up at the first bridge and had a look... Hmm... something of a path down but a bit dodgy, especially in my slippery cycling shoes - But I took a venture down and came out empty handed. crud. Decided to toss it in and return when I had my GPSr.
But then as I continued down the path I spotted ANOTHER bridge and a much more likely hiding area - And sure enough after a simpler venture down to the creek i came up trumps with the cache. Great little spot for a great cache, and it's shown me a bit more of this area which I cycle past but never really explore like I should.
TFTC chuck thunder....

We wondered about the narrow bridge and would have crossed it if the cache was on the other side but it of course isn't and the good sized cache was soon in hand
Thanks
Thanks
We worked our way into the park and wondered where the bridge might be. Soon it came into view but our GPSr's said this side of the creek. Down a few rocks and the cache was soon in hand.
Thanks, Robmc.

edit, wow 5months to get around to adding abit more.. I found this one in the dark one night after work... Team_Ginnegan voted this by far the best cache destination we've come across so far. Old man Ginnegan made the find and Littlest Ginnegan enjoyed selecting a bendy pencil and stickers from the swag. Left a McDonalds toy and hotwheels car in their place. Ma Ginnegan didn't attempt any rock climbing but enjoyed perching on the top and watching the gun. TFTC
4.00 Out on my own today enjoying the sun shine. Parked nice and close but did not realize I was on the wrong side of the stream. Entered by the gate and walked through a lovely shaded path. Realized then I needed to cross. Nice and easy. Cache in excellent condition and loved the cahe. Just a little bit hardy to retrieve than most

A nice very short stroll down the pathway saw us get to GZ very quicky.... Geowife quickly avoided the trolls and grabbed her cach. GeoDad was trying to get a closer look had slipped and nearly fell into the creek only to be saved by the fallen tree beneath him.... A helping hand by Geo daughter and then the cach was returned and we were on our way..... GeoDad now fills like a clutz. TFTC.
What a lovely spot! We met up with our Muggle friends, who we have nicknamed the Saucebottles, in the late afternoon to find this cache - the final cache hidden in our 10km zone ... well ..... that's not currently disabled or a multi that starts in the 10km zone and then ends up nearly 200kms away ! lol
The kids found the cache, we TNLNSL and then they had a great time exploring the creek, walking along the creek until Waverley Rd. We then went to the very closeby lake and they spent ages trying to catch fish or tadpoles in their Slurpee cups lol. Sadly we had to leave as the Saucebottles had to pick up Senior Daughter Saucebottle.
TFTC chuck_thunder, a most enjoyable area including the lake and we will give this a fave when we next have one available (we still owe 2 faves atm!!)

Photos to be attached to log when I can get them to upload to the PC!!

After having no luck (again) with The Fountain in the Lake, I had to find another cache for my daily smiley. I decided to go revisit Spladem's Crossroads at Night to pick up the number I missed when I found it, then headed down the road to tackle this recent cache. I tried for a shortcut that my OSM maps showed but it wasn't accessible due to a private road so I had to take the longer route along the track from the road crossing - like normal people would have done right from the start... The gloom was decending rapidly so I was glad I decided to return to the car to grab a torch after starting my walk along the trail. It wasn't really needed for the walk in/out as the path is concrete paved and perfectly safe but it did come in handy to check the hiding place for creepy crawlies - just a couple of speckled redback/widow-like spiders - and to clear away their webs to keep them away from me! Find logged whilst careful not to let the container or contents slip off the rocks - and whilst trying to keep down out of sight just in case there were any nightfaring muggles. Alas no Tawny Frogmouths seen tonight, but some micro bats flying around me made up for that TFTC
Out with the family to watch the skateboard and bike tricks event at Central reserve so I just had to excuse myself for a short detour! Parked at the kindergarden which was great access to the main path and a short stroll to the rather distinct crossing point. No need to cross as the description was clear and a fast find followed. Lots of swaps here so I should have had the boys with me! TFTC SL

Find # 1471
Well, after locking up the doors at the office, it was time to go and find my cache for today. I headed towards home on a slight detour via this cache. I parked in a nearby side street and as is normal with me, I took the wrong path to GZ. It turns out if you take the wrong path, you may need to cross the tiny bridge. A small search revealed a very well concealed cache.
Thanks to Chuck thunder for the cache, TNLN.

Out on a bit of a cache run tonight, I stopped off at this one for a look around.
Parked the car and headed off down the path and soon realised that I was on the wrong side of the creek so had to head bush and cut through to get to where I needed to be, saw alot of rats running around across the ground, through the trees, I made it to GZ and not too long later I spotted the hide.
Signed log and left a TB.
