What a frustrating search. Stopped in the park for lunch with Mrs Swampcreature. It's a good thing I had a cup of tea to keep me going, but I found it eventually.
Thanks for the cache! Took a while, but finally found it, yay! Greetings from Estonia! TK21EST+ Wombatsash + TC216
Love the nano versions. Patience was required. Passed it a few times without noticing it. Signed WS.
Cool statue at a nice little station. Took quite a while to find it, but indeed as other logs say, it is quite visible once you find it and youll think why you didnt find it earlier.Found with TC216 & WombatSash but signed as TK+TC+WS to save space in log. Thanks!
A nice day trip to the Cascades event with Tankengine and Joolay. We only did a few caches in the area, but it was fun and such a nice day. Tanking found this one. I was just not tall enough. We were lucky to see the train to pull in and take off again. Many people were aboard. We will have to take a trip one day. Tftc!!!
#22424 @1235A day trip from Canberra with Aquilus1 to attend this event and walk at Cascade Falls. We cached our way here and back. We arrived here soon after the tourist train arrived so lots of muggles around. At GZ, Joolay, KittyKatch, Tankengine and DTY73 had just found the cache as we rocked up. Perfect timing. TFTC.
A bit tricky but found.Much nicer day today after the freezing raining weather of yesterday. Lovely sunny day. Picking up a few on the way back from the event near Macquarie Pass. Thanks for getting me out and about NationalSteel
Chooo ooo [Found] with dty73 joolay KittyKatch aquilus1 TikvaNZ and Grimraider! On a day trip down the escarpment! Thanks NationalSteel!
Macquarie PassAn interesting structure we had fun searching. Found with GrimRaider, Tankengine, dty73, Joolay, Aquilus1, tikvaNZ. Thanks for the hide NationalSteel
TFTC smile20022 Out and about on a Sunny day with muggle twin sister on our way to grandsons wedding in Moss Vale signed as GS1947 on small logs Thank you NationalSteel for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Sadly, we couldnt get a good Ground Zero on this one and theres lots of possibilities and the grass is awfully wet. Thanks anyways.
A quickish find on a wander around town, while my darling wife was at an art show opening.
Just after Christmas in 2019 a small group of friends and I were scheduled to complete a 3 day hike to visit the top 10 peaks in Kosciuszko National Park. At that stage I was already in Canberra visiting relatives and about to head off to Sydney to pick up my compatriots from the airport when word came of the bush fires erupting in the Snowy Mountains. It was not long after that the dreaded news was announced that the park had been closed, ending any hopes of completing our walk. Dejectedly we made our way back home to Queensland. Thanks to Covid, border closures, injuries and operations it has taken another 4 years for the opportunity to arise to reprise our plans. After what has seemed an eternity, I finally left Brisbane yesterday lunchtime for the long drive down to Canberra, and reached just north of Wollongong before finding a suitable place to stop and sleep in my car overnight. This morning I was up before sunrise to visit some of the local caches, before continuing the remainder of the drive to Canberra airport to rendezvous with the rest of my hiking group. My route this morning took me not far from this cache after an enjoyable drive up through Macquarie Pass, so I took the short detour to visit. After a quick sweep of the area I was still empty handed. Following the advice in an earlier log, I stood back and let my eyes do the searching and the cache was soon spotted and my name added to the logbook. TFTC
We spend a night not far from here , so we cam to look after this cache . The logbook is wet and some logs are erased
Sculpture like that in a place like this totally deserves a cache thank you. Got lucky with a quick find by stepping back and using my eyes
A pretty quick find here. Found a cooler spot but whatever. TFTC Nice structure.
Took a few minutes but its pretty obvious after you find it haha. Great little find. Beautiful day for a cache! TFTC
Found on a daytrip from Canberra to Robertson with sebass19. Attention to all future visitors to the Southern Highlands: bring Aerogard or Deet to avoid ticks! I had 2 latch onto me today, thankfully I had special tick tweezers. I was surprised to find them in this part of the world!.I DNF'd this one with my Dad more than 10 years ago, wowee! On arrival at GZ, I was worried that it would be a similar story but some previous logs changed my thinking and sure enough, I finally spotted it after a few minutes at GZ. Sneaky! Cool sculpture and a nice place to stop, TFTC NationalSteel!
Find#5588Nice hiding place Took a few minutes Found with Toyhunters Thanks for the cache
Good hide, really obvious when you find it. Feel kinda stupid when you finally get it. Pretty quick find about five minutes. TFTC
Seeing that this one was replaced, I gathered luck would be on my side.....and it was.
After some muggles left, I had the place to myself. Nice quick find today.

Had a good look for this one. Under, inside, climbed up, all over the structure, But came up empty handed!
One to try again when down this way

Found on our second attempt thankfully before we had to board our train back to Sydney TFTC
Well with this location you are limited to where it could be, after a progressive search I finally got it. TFTC
Took longer than I’d like to admit but definitely worth it i the end good find indeed
Great cache location, had fun with this one with tash2494 and LP1501. This ended our geocache tour to Robertson, Tftc
I spent far too long looking for this before finding it and hoping it was the right one. It did have a lot of logs for a freshly replaced cache though, but I could not see a second one. Thanks for the hide in an interesting place.

Taking a tourist drive today.
We usually do well with this type of hide ……but not today

#8474 (2 of 17 today - including 5 Adventure Labs)
The final day this year that the Caching Calendar gods require my propitiation. Actually. from one of my worse caching months, December is now one of my best, but CoVid lockdowns did dampen usually good months for me. Oh well.
So where to go for a slew of finds today? I'd noticed **NationalSteel**'s CCEvent at Robertson. While I often head to the Southern Highlands to cache, I don't go this far east.
Robertson it is!
Got to the event on time - that's always a miracle - then a walk in the drizzle for a few finds and the Adventure Lab before heading back to the car to get some further out of town.
Good day after a great little event.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Walked from the event to here. As I approached I noticed three muggles huddling a short distance from GZ - trying to stay out of the drizzle.
So I kept walking and checked out the info signs nearby. The drizzle lessened, they walked off and I made my way to GZ.
This kind of GZ can be easy or a real pain. Luckily I spotted it from the other side pretty quickly, relocated and... where did it go? Small relocation and it was CIH.
Took to a nearby shelter to complete signing duties - first on the new log - then replaced and away to the nearby AL.

After joining NationalSteel for his celebration event I headed here for a daily Traditional. Noting that the container and log had been replaced I set about my search. Did a circuit of the sculpture before taking a seat and finding the cache in the second spot checked. I had however found a cache last logged by aries44duo in December 2020 and was unable to locate a new one. So signed and replaced as found. TFTC.
No joy for the tribe at this interesting location. Pulled a bolt out but put it back.

Went out for evening walkies after day 2 of lockdown, thought we’d try for this cache. Did some hunting before trying for a phone a friend rescue. Even after doing some virtual caching via video conference with 2 past finders, we did not manage to find the cache… either an epic fail, or it’s MIA…
Had to make a visit to Robertson Station of course. The hint was helpful in giving a target and there are lots of possibilies. Used a previous log of a hint. Coordinates are spot on which helps.
This could easily be edited to includine in the SideTracked series, hint hint.

Nice and easy find. Im 6 foot 5 so only had to go up one step. Couldn't get the paper out so took a pic if you need it. Tftc
Nothing at non climbing level, and signage says do not climb on art piece - so I followed the rules !
Probably should be relocated so you can do the right thing!

There are two nanos at this location. We both spotted each one simultaniously. We signed both logs and put back where found. Last entry in one is July 2019.
Cheers.
Cheers.
Visited this one earlier in the morning but picnicking muggles nearby halted our search. After a quick search we soon spotted what we were after however were disappointed that we’d need to climb the sculpture to claim the smile, even my brother who’s over 6ft couldn’t grab without climbing, Ideally think this needs to be lowered to avoid future damage from climbers
What a cute little train station. Daughters found this one. They have keener eyes than me. We couldn't sign the log. I had my tweezers with me but didn't want to tear the log so left it in there. I have a photo of where we found it and the actual cache though if you would like to see it.
The geopartner is annoyed at her height deficit, however I enjoyed the cache
Had a quick look. No luck. We probably need more time, but have to get back to Jamberoo to grab the van and head home. We'll be back.
Feeling very lucky as we hand CIH only after a few minutes of searching....have a feeling we could of been here all day looking!! TFTC!!!
Geo hubby was all over this one, I was too busy eating lollies to keep my strength up thanks for the hide

The Terrain was a bit confusing and it appears someone left a letter for what I presume was muggle which was a red herrring
Heading over to the OzGeomuster event, and picking up some caches enroute, weather was a bit dodgy but managed what we could ,found with StrangeTrousers and CBRChic , signed as Kayak Cachers stamp.
thanks NationalSteel

#5193 4th for today
Day one of the Oz Geomuster Mega at Cataract (the Gong). Traveling with mtrax & CBRChic to the event. Today was rather damp and there was rain on occasions, but nothing too heavy. But it's always pleasant traveling through th southern highlands. We dropped into Fitzroy falls and had lunch in Robertson on the way. Eventually we decided we needed to get a move on to make it to our accommodation at Appin.
Thanks NationalSteel

I can happily say I’ve finally turned this frown into a smile!! Can’t believe I missed it, just not looking in the right part after a hint was given! Tftc it’s such a relief to finally get a smiley for this one!!
Found while on a trip away with tmann421, heading to the MEGA in Canberra

Our last caching stop before returning home to the Capital after a four day long weekend in Kiama. Interesting sculpture, and we had seen some of the artist's work in Kiama too. A bit of poking around, and close scrutiny, and pondering the placement of a tiny little thing. I had just placed my own first time nano sized cache close to home, so had some idea. I do appreciate a good camo, and a hiding in plain sight. TFTC NationalSteel
Up the line and around the bend led me to the cache with a small hint from a friend.
