Archiving because of a complaint of damage to the wall. The wall was damaged prior to hiding, but there is a possibility of the wall being further damaged.
found today, i have always wanted to get this GC done and last night i did some googleing which meant that i got the required information for where the GC was with out visiting all the other sites. one day i will come back and do it correctly.
thanks billywillysillydilly for the GC

After caching for a few months now we were hoping to finally log or first multi. Only living a block away from the cemetery we walk through here often.
After reading the instructions for this one several times and getting the hang of waypoints we decided to crack this one on a nice spring morning.
A lovely informative stroll, resulting in the quick find by mr 10.
Thanks for a fantastic cache

Love these multi caches, I learn so much about people & things I never would have come across without geocaching
We went to all way points but was disappointed that we didn't find the cache. The place where we thought it was looked like it had been muggled.
We did it, we did it, oh yeah yeah YEAH!
BeardedMuggle and I were wondering what to do with our evening and we decided on grabbing some nearby caches.
This was the third and final one. It got WAY too cold walking around this cemetery =o even with my hoody on, my ears hurt cause they were frozen. Home time with the heater on after signing the log.
Thanks for bringing us here. I like cemeteries..... Weirdly....
The amount of words and information in the description looked a tad daunting but it was easy enough to follow.
Quite a few months between finds here! Container in decent shape. Log is perfect. Hidden nicely.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Cheers & T.F.TC =D
Safe travels and hoppy caching!

Interesting walk around the cemetary. Took a little while to find the final cache as not at gz or did we do some maths wrong? Found with emthegem. Tftc.
Found with Teamlauren. took us a bit at gz to find the cache. After a b it of further looking we got there.
Found it! I've been wanting to give this multi a try for a while, so with the weather a little cooler today I thought I'd give it a go. Once my morning caffeine kicked in and I'd woken up enough to get past wpt 1 it was smooth sailing until my gps decided to play up finding Sir John Quick. Thanks to some help from the CO I was on the right track again and finally signed the log and added another smiley to my slowly growing collection. I'm rewarding a favorite point for this cache due to the amount of work you put into this enjoyable and interesting multi. Thank you for the cache billywillysillydilly
Catching up with some very late logs.
Being stuck in Bendigo for a couple of days with a broken down car the only thing to do was grab some local caches and having more time than usual we concentrated on multi's and mysteries.
We really enjoyed the information on the cache page and well as collecting the required information, some harder than others.
We eventually had a set of numbers and headed off to see what we could find and were very happy to see a good sized cache right where the GPSr was pointing and our name has been added to the log.
Many thanks billywillysillydilly.

Great day for a walk around the cemetery with my 3yo daughter between creche pick-up and school pick-up. I think Little Miss 3 enjoyed our walk, though she fell asleep straight away once we'd returned to the car. I thoroughly enjoyed finding clues at the various grave sites. Thanks for the hunt and of course the cache billywillysillydilly!
The Wenchette has booked a full day at the Uni Open Day and I've got a few minutes to sneak out for a couple of caches.
Two reasons to wander through the cemetery today; this cache and also the B&W cache published on Geocaching Australia.
All went to plan until I misread the date for Mr Drury and headed off in the wrong direction. After looking at the headstone at the wrong spot I returned to Bill Gay dn George Drury to recheck then headed in the correct direction All coordinates were spot on and the final location well concealed.
Thank you, billywillysillydilly, for this "walk amongst the tombstones".

Too cold for muggles today but a perfect day to visit this location and put a smilie in the cache and on my map of found caches . this is I think # 150 for me. Thanks for the history walk .
Camped in Bendigo for a week, to pick up a few caches in the area.
Very interesting cemetery multi, with took us some time to do.
Good hide at the end, signed and relaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, billywillysillydilly, for us and others to find.

Found on a hot day - barely able to see the screen to read clues and put in coordinates! My addition was off once as well...grrr.
Finally got to the end - great cache guarded by spiders. TNLN.

The dear wife enjoys a good stroll around the cemetery so as she wandered I set out with Moosetash to help solve this enjoyable multi. We picked up the required information easily enough but Catherines age had us scratching our head a little before our friend Google helped. Poured a cuppa while we worked out the final gz and then set off to make a quick find. Thanks billywillysillydilly for the multi and for the interesting history lesson.
We love a good cemetery cache, and this one didn't disappoint. We spent some time discussing the headstones and the various names on them, glimpses in to the past that we can only speculate about. We came unstuck at the John Quick step... are we the only ones that couldn't get this? Anyways, found a way to get to the last headstone regardless and headed to GZ. A quick find and sign due to the muggle suspiciously wandering around across the road. Thanks for bringing us here and for the cache.
Enjoy wandering around the cemetery.. interesting history here.
Thanks billywillysillydilly for bring me here and cache.

After a few wonderful days caching in this delightful area it was time to think about returning to Geelong but not before a few more caches to be found on the way home.
I have done some wonderful cemetery caches over the last ten years and this one was very enjoyable learning about the lives of past residents.
With a set of co-ords and arriving at GZ I was a little hesitant to move to many stones as I have seen the damage done to similar locations and to rock fences etc.
Thankfully the co-ords were good and I soon was signing the log.
Thanks to billywillysillydilly for the effort and thought in placing this cache.

Suscoe's 5th find of the day as we headed out and about Bendigo.
We love these type of caches and this one certainly ticked all the boxes for us.
A great deal of history linked to a delightful wander around the area.
Did the calculations and the final GZ was where it needed to be.
Well done to billwillysillydilly for placing this cache here, a delightful experience.
A favourite from Suscoe.

After a cold morning, we had a very pleasant wander around the waypoints in the warm sun.
We concur with an earlier finder that there is no way to determine Catherines age at death from the information at GZ - the death age on the stone is that of John, but it is confusing that it is written just under Catherines name.
Interesting history.

What a lot of interesting history on this cache page that has now been filed for future reference. Driving past the Shamrock hotel will in future recall memories of this cache.
It was a pleasant morning for completing this multi and GZ was finally located.

We did this in two stages as last week we had the grandkids and the walk around got to hot.
So today we went back without the grandkids. Really enjoyed this one and you get a favourite point
from us. Thanks for putting this one together TFTC billywillysillydilly. TNLN.
As this one has not been found for sometime thought we would add that the cache is in good condition.

Lovely stroll around this cemetery, and an interesting story to be had and absorbed while wandering between waypoints. Not many in the cemetery at this time, apart from the residents of course, so on arrival at gz I was able to access the container unseen. Thanks billywillysillydilly for this interesting tour.
I always enjoy a good stroll amongst the stones
From the front gate it was obvious that there were an 'ell of a lot of stones to stroll between [:o]
There isn't a spare plot of ground in this very big cemetery.
Graves are so close together in some places that you do have to walk over them to get to the one you want
But on a warm Bendigo day I managed to form a solid foundation for a cache search.
Neatly hidden too [^]
Thanks for a history filled half hour around the graves.

Found on our BIG Little Event trip. A great multi. Very interesting walk through the cemetary. Nice to go to many famous graves. Then it was a quick find at GZ. Good hide. We're from Canberra, and were interested about Dr. Quick - may have to make a cache... TNLN. Thanks!
Nice trot through history tonight. Was nice and recognised quite a few names. Definitely threw us off with the death age of her and not him. A quick read of logs revealed that we were not the only ones. Thanks.
Really enjoyed doing this in conjunction with yougnils. Very interesting history and good hide.
Done in conjunction with BillGosse, this was a very interesting cache and provided good history of Federation and Bendigo's association with that significant event. Thanks guys.
Found by Mary & David at 1940. After a quick dinner at the One Tree Hill pub, we were re-energised. We love caches with detailed notes, facts and figures. Also, Mary loves cemeteries, graveyard architecture and the associated social history. Exquisite carving on John Cowley's memorial, and a reference to a church window. William Gay had a 'table' stone, and you have to love several generations of Queenie's family obviously being such ardent royalists. A great cache and research - gets a favourite from us too. Our thanks to billywillysillydilly.
Went for a stroll & delved into some of Bendigo's history to locate the cache. A very quite day with nobody around. Thanks for the challenge.
Found cache, after getting a history lesson around the cemetary. Was a little confused by the Question about Catherines' age. Stone is ambigous an appears to refer to her husbands age. After finding no other useful info, used this as co-ord and was soon on our way to the last WP and then a success at GZ, TFTC
Found at night with ronnienash. The moonlight certainly helped as we walked around trying to be discreet. Thanks for the cache and history.
Found it with DoorMatt on another night caching expedition, still not sure i enjoy walking around cemeteries in the middle of the night but TFTC.
I've been dying to knock this one off my bucket list for ages... Thankfully I hit no dead ends on this voyage of the dead. Thanks

An interesting walk through history, the information about unsung people is comprehensive. Did wonder about the interpretation of the information presented at w/p5 (age of Catherine). As a bonus H-P found a grave of one of here relatives as we wandered.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt billywillysillydilly.

It is always good to do a good multi with relevant waypoints and some local history.
The coords were all spot on and all graves were found quickly and the information required was easily decipherable.
I liked the final hide which accommodates such a decent sized cache.
Thanks

This turned out to be quite a quick multi as the waypoints were not too far from each other in what is a large cemetery.

Managed to get in some caching today before the rains came. Fortunately it was sunny and pleasant walking around this historical cemetry. It is sad that a person can just become represented by a headstone in a sea of crumbling and forgotten memories.
Thanks for bringing me here billywillsillydilly. It gets a favourite point from me for the research that you undertook and the fine execution of this multi.

# 156 - It's cemented - cemetery cache's are MrandMrsF's favourite. This was our second for the day (and 30th cache for the day - new record!), and we loved all the history and were very impressed by the amount of work which has been put into this one. Great cache, thanks billywillysillydilly - you get a favourite from us!
Found by Bevfre.11.00am Nice walking round cemetery finding the WTP TN LN SL Thank you billywillysillydilly
A enjoyable stroll with a history lesson to boot. Great to see and learn about some of the names we have mostly forgotten to the ages.. being a local didnt know any of this... Cheers.
Another missing day on our calendar (first of 3 in a row to fill in.) Dropped the child off at work and wandered over to the other side of town before going out to tea. Have been to this cemetery a few times including the Burke & Wills virtual as well as a car rally. Great to see another one in a cemetery - have to say I was surprised at the hiding place. Spotted the 2 trackables. TFTC
Cheers BWSD for another awesome cemetry multi. Really well thought out and highlights much local historical significance. Had Nan & Grandad in tow this hot and windy (with the change in the weather) Sunday morning. Dropped off some TBs, dipped a coin and GeoKeegs swapped a glass shell, starfish and marble (flattened) for a hotwheels (how cool!) TFTC Bill - another favourite point!
had no helpers this afternoon nice peaceful walk around tftc billywillysillydilly
Well done Bill, great effort and great multi. Wish I had thought of short cutting to GZ when I first saw it published, then I may have beaten the usual victors
TFTC and I definitely wasn't a stone mason in a previous life!

A nice mild morning made this walk in the cemetery very enjoyable. As a newcomer to Bendigo I enjoyed the history lesson. You've obviously put a lot of work into this multi Bill, and it's awesome. Thank you and well done! TNLN
This deserves a favorite (and 3 favs from only 4 finders should make you very proud!).

Drats, always the Bridesmaid. Was in a meeting at work when the email came through. Was so desperate to get out. You know that feeling when there is something you urgently need to do and then everyone has really silly things to contribute to the discussion and all you want to do is get out of there.
Well done Romax!!
Really enjoyed doing this one. Very creative billywillysillydilly. We have been talking about doing something like this (but again always the bridesmaid). Going to put this one as a favourite.

Found by Roma and Max.
We also were occupied as we usually are at this time of day and experienced a serious case of "dinner interruptus"!
However once that was sorted we were soon on our way gathering the required information.
This proved to be an enjoyable journey not the least because all your points had accurate co-ordinates, but the well researched and informative descriptions on the web page indicated the effort you have made in establishing this multi.
Thank you Bill, we have experienced a number of similar caches in our time geocaching, and have no doubt this one of yours rates well up amongst the best.

from Romax
