Before heading to the Marshmallow Event at Martins Tank with Polliethecollie we decided to try our luck at finding a few caches along the Harvey Estuary. Another puzzle that been on the solved list for a long time. We found the very interesting location but sadly no cache.
This is a very cool location. I have actually searched here for an old archived multi that I thought ended at this location, but alas wasnt looking for a micro I was looking for a small.Today it was a quick find. Thanks for the cache.
Cache had gone awol. Local bogan children up to mischief again no doubt. All good now though.
Now that school holidays are here I will have a chance to do the necessary maintenance of a few of my caches, this one included.
Had an amazing dinner in Mandurah with some friends and with no trads on the map we tried to find a couple of those blue dots. Unfortunately 2/2 DNFs. Thanks for the hunt.
Came for a drive to see if I could find this one after solving the puzzle some time ago. Spent about 30 minutes here but I came up empty handed. I hope it’s still here somewhere. I’ll come back again and try another day. Tft puzzle.
The extra eyes get the credit here. Little hands came in handy too.
Glad to finally get a smiley here.
Out and about with the LAXA family chasing down a few solved puzzles in the Dawesville area.
TFTC Mistraluna this is find # 10111 for us.

Happy to report that this cache is still in place, right where it was originally placed.
Geodaughter was really excited about this one as it was Harry Potter & she's reading the books at the moment. We solved the puzzles, found the cave, but alas couldn't find the cache after having a good look. Hopefully it's still here.
I was coming up this way this morning to grab another cache and happened to notice that the hubby had solved this one a while ago so decided to grab this one as well. Parked as close as possibe then made my way to GZ. Remembered the hint about not entering the cave so started my search and it did take me a while to find the cache in its hidey hole. TFTC Mistraluna
I liked the puzzle but the location was super cool! Never would have expected to find that here. Fp from us.
Bugger! The kids did the puzzle first thing this morning and loved it. Went out this afternoon but no luck finding it. Checked the clue but still no find. Great location, and will be back to look for it.
we started caching with our family under the name clan-wallace but now it is time to have our own identity, hence embarking on a marathon re logging exercise.
I love Harry Potter & so it follows that I loved this puzzle, I only had to look up 2 of the names. I just don't know I have not spotted a Potter Puzzle within distance before...very slack!
We crept up to the GZ stealthily just in case anyone was in residence and sure enough, right at the back, all curled up and fast asleep was Norbert. I did resist the urge to tickle his tummy, in any case the snores were deafening.
Have a favourite for the puzzle & the location. TFTC Mistraluna

Not sure what the last finders found, but it wasn't the cache, which is safe and sound in it's spot. I did a bit of CITO whilst there as the local "kids" come here at times too, hence for reason for the cache being well hidden.
In preparation for our WA Goes Big adventure, we tackled this puzzle.
With corrected coordinates in hand we were soon at GZ . What a ripper of a cave. Do dragons live there? Something does, coz the smell of animals is strong.
Our 4 different gpsr's were jumping all over the place as the sky fairies were not being helpful but eventually EB99 found and collected what we believed to be the remains of the cache. Strewn and hidden across the site, we first found the camoed lid, then the base and the body plus a plastic bag. We didn't find the log but I was able to sign the underside of the lid. I placed them together at GZ. It's a real shame some folks think it's fun to spend time at places like this & leave all their debris behind...did a bit of CITO but could not carry all of it.
I have photos for the CO if he so wishes to see what has occurred.
Thanks Mistraluna for the fun and challenging puzzle.

Another great puzzle with very straight forward instructions that I didn't read until later, but it still all worked out.
What an excellent cave. I did go in and check it out. Great find.
Took a while to find the cache as I was looking in the wrong area. Did get there eventually. TFTC and puzzle Mistraluna.

Cache is now smaller, sorry, but anything larger keeps getting muggled.
Still no need to enter the dragon's lair though.
Still no need to enter the dragon's lair though.
Will archive if better hiding spot cannot be found - checking it out this week.
Evidence of muggle activity at gz - cache not where it should be. Will get a replacement out there soon...
Geoson (PercivalMastiff) had solved this one some time ago and today was the day for the grab. A nice short walk to GZ and a quick find. TFTC Mistraluna
Dragging muggle partner under sufferance to be my driver and another set of eyes while I cache north of home again [^]
Solved this one in December sometime after I got partner to print off all of the CO's puzzles so I could give my brain a workout, some have turned out well like this one but a good few others I've put aside
Had to use the internet as not a Harry Potter fanatic but I could manage a couple by myself. I haven't read any of the books or watched the movies.
Why is it with these ones that we follow our gps which isn't always the best way then see an easier way out.
Oh look at that there is a bit of a trail/track that was only seen after signing the log. Oh and look again it's shorter too
Muggle partner easily found this one so he was put to good use also he helped me get to gz as it was a bit of a struggle medically but I was determined to get a smiley here
Thanks for the puzzle. Another well done one from you.

The day started with cloud cover and a spit of rain, as we travelled to Dawesville.
But it soon warmed up, and became very humid.
Geo-wife enjoyed completing this puzzle, and sooon had a new set of co-ords for GZ.
It took us a while to locate the cache, as our GPS had us 6m away.
Thanks for the hunt today, Mistraluna.

Loved the puzzle and the site. No geocoin in the cache I found though so hope someone logs it soon.
Again KB put in the hard yards...I just tagged along for the smiley....thanks again Mistraluna
Great GZ. Parked nearby and was surprised when we arrived at the coordinate. Had a little explore before signing the log. TFTC Mistraluna.
Found it! Team effort with blink. My first puzzle cache... Woohoo nearly didn't grab it, the cache is well camouflaged. Tftc
Did all the hard work with finding the cords for this and when we got there and found it our pen decided not to work luckily geo mum fixed it so we could sign the log, tftc!
Tftc how awesome to find a cave! Although it is obviously a teenagers haven at the moment-a smouldering fire out the front and a bing in the ledge lol. Anyway our first puzzle which had me up last night solving
TFTC. Being fairly ignorant of all things HP we worked out the puzzle with a bit of googling research. Got to GZ with waypoint on GPS and forgot to read the description/hints beforehand (printed pages left in car!) so took some time finding this though we knew the cache had be outside of the dragon's lair. Geoson TTW found it. Geodad says thanks for bringing us to this spot as he knew about the cave but didn't know exact location. Geomum nearly stepped on shingleback lizard near the fig tree. Geomum is hoping she doesn't pick up another tick despite drenching herself in 40% DEET spray .
A trip was planned to the area today, so the day before I set about solving a couple of puzzles too This puzzle was quite easy but still enjoyable. In no time I had some co-ords and we put it on our list for the day
After finding a few other caches nearby, we headed bush in search of the sleeping dragon [|)] From the cache page we knew what we were looking for and soon spotted the area... The kids were fascinated, and Jase just had to go check out the inside before we started our hunt [^] He was out of there quick smart when he saw markings in the sand of the slithery kind [XX(]
On to the hunt, Jase found it easily where the hint suggested, whilst I walked around in circles where the GPSr suggested TFTC Mistraluna. A fun puzzle and a fun cache - so another favorite point to you!

My last day of holidays, not counting this weekend, so after getting some stuff done around the house, I took the opportunity to go for a ride and grab a few caches as I went. To great past times competing [:o)]
[8] [8] This is one of my favorite roads to ride, but I also knew that I had some caches to clear from the area. I had solved this puzzle a long while ago, and today I thought that I would get the smiley. Parked the bike near by and wandered into the bush. I was surprised to see this potential dragon home, [:o)]
I read the hint, and folllowed the instructions. The GPSr would not settle at all, I searched High and low, read the logs, and eventually had to resort to PAF, in this case, he was not too helpful, but he did get me thinking a bit more laterally and the cache was found shortly afterwards
The camo is good and the hide matches the puzzle, both excellent
Thanks Mistraluna for the challenge that this provided. [^]
This is my find number 2138

Another enjoyable puzzle that I solved some time ago. Today I had a nice drive along the estuary, and stopped in to find this cache along the way.
What a cool cache location. Initially I looked inside, but soon checked the hint and confirmed that this wasn't needed, so I turned my eyes to other area. The GPS was having trouble settling down, but I used my intuition, and found the cache after some searching.
Excellent camo and hiding spot. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache Mistraluna!

A couple of weeks ago my Dakota 20 threw in the towel. After getting approval from SWMBO I purchased a new Oregon 550 from the good old US of A. After a bad back keeping me housebound for a while, today was the first chance I had to use my new toy in the field.
Then the fun started. It helps to find caches if you have it set up right....
When this was published I enjoyed solving the puzzle and did so relatively quickly. I then went home and gave it to Geoson to do as it was up his alley. After waiting a very long time for him, I gave up and headed out to make the find.
The dreaded settings got me again on this one. I could not get closer to ground zero than about 8m according to my GPSr. In desperation I rang a friend and as they answered I made the find. That is two for two on me finding after making calls for help today!!!
Thanks for the cache, puzzle and very interesting location Mistraluna
Cheers

Fantastic location for a cache and a great concept for a puzzle! Thanks Mistraluna!
We decided that for our walk today we would venture south to Dawesville and pick up the Mistraluna caches that we hadn't yet got, all except The Explorer which we haven't solved yet .
It was a slightly chilly day but great for a walk along the estuary edge for a couple of hours.
Solved this one not long after it came out, but for various reasons never got to find it. We remember looking for this cave to put a cache as part of a Peel Histories series, but the book we had didn't give the exact location, so it was great to finally find it and match up to the local history we had read.
Left a lizard to keep the dragons company.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache Mistraluna [^]

How do you find these places? Awesome location for a cache! Can vouch that there were no dragons residing when we searched but we did leave one. A Welsh Green named Amadeus. A famous composer was named after him. Thanks Mistraluna for a fun cache hunt.
Another simple yet different puzzle that took a lot of work to reach the solution and that was a pleasure to work on.
This was the last cache of the day after the Silver Tops Flash Mob event and a boat ride to Boundary island - there could not have been a better cache to finish on. The whole puzzle and cache just fitted together so perfectly - we loved it.
Left a pathtag for the next person who is brave enough to get this close to a dragon's lair. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache Mistraluna.

Another Mistraluna Puzzle in a similar spot to the last find...I am guessing you may live close by ??
I thought you were much further North after finding your multi in Lancelin the other week??
Anyway a great location for a cache and a nice bit of camo work as well.
Many thanks.

We thought we could hear the dragon stirring, we had looked everywhere (well, obviously, nearly everywhere) for the cache and come up empty handed so we resorted to Phone-A-Friend who pointed us in the right direction. A quick sign of the log and ran for our lives. TFTP&C
Dropped in here to return original logbook pages to the cache. Took Kermie TB to move on to another cache.
Found the sleeping dragon this time...the new version..and took the lovely GC. Left kermie the frog TB to keep the dragon company for a while. It seems the dragons have multiplied. Given a favourite point
Another fun puzzle and very interesting cache location. But there is certainly no danger that I would venture in to tickle him, awake OR asleep!
However on reading recent logs when logging this I think I might have found the original cache as it had the old log book and no GC.
Thanks for the puzzle and hunt Mistraluna.

This one is finally back up and running. It is a slightly smaller container this time, and is camouflaged. Hopefully the local kids won't find it. I have dropped a geocoin into it for the next cachers who come along.
Sorry everyone, but this one has definitely been muggled - gotta love school holidays and bored, vandalistic muggle children, don't you?? Anyway, interior of dragon's lair has been graffiti-ed, and found one of the original cache contents deeper down inside. I didn't have the necessary equipment to search any further, so I will devise a new cache and gz and adjust listing to suit as soon as I can. GRRRRRRRR
This one had a favourite before we even left home. Loved the puzzle and when we arrived at GZ loved the location. Only trouble is ...no cache. Had a really good look. Found a ziplock bag and hope it was not part of the cache.
I was really happy to get this puzzle. TFTC.
By the way Mistraluna, you must be one very fit lady. I'm heading home for a rest.

I just love dragons so this puzzle was a pleasure to work through. Congratulations on putting together not only a puzzle that just about anyone has the capacity to complete with a little effort but your artistic flair on the listing is fabulous. My only disappointment - no dozing dragon at gz!!

The better half and I started solving this puzzle as soon as it was published and after only about 25 minutes had what I thought were the correct numbers. Before leaving the house I saw that there were other newly published caches so went to two of them before heading down to this one. Entered the coordinates when I was stopped at one of the Mandurah traffic lights and then continued driving. As I got closer I could see the line to the cache drifting to the east and realised that the final I had entered was out in the estuary. It took a long while to work out that the minutes to enter were not those that were in the listing for the puzzle point and it was only after seeing the preferred parking spot in the printout that I realised what minutes I had to enter. Backtracked up the road and parked nearby and then after a short walk I found GZ and the cache.
Thanks Mistraluna for the puzzle and cache.
Perhaps you could add the correct degrees and minutes into the listing just after the bit 'You should now have the decimal coordinates'
