The trees have had a major hair cut, the area has been bulldozed and a new fence in being put up. Could the CO come check this one out?
On a mission around South Canterbury/North Otago. 114 found caches today. Thanks to all the CO's for their effort. Sorry about the cut and paste. TFTC.
Headed down south with C&D and 11HPG11 for the CHCH Mega as part of the HOAC team, and decided that a Mega road trip/Mega Mission was the right thing to do. After a great day caching from Dunedin to Omarama we manged to get a few hours sleep before the big day 2 started.
Day 2 was the start of a ambitious plan to try and find as many caches as possible in one day! To maximise our chances of a big number we decided a 24 hour caching day was the only way to go. What an epic day, and some great moments too. The rough idea was to cache from Omarama to Oamaru, and then head north towards Christchurch. A huge thanks to everyone for the cache placments, and I apologise for the copy and past logs.
Find #250 for the day.

This was the start of a MEGA caching weekend in the company of good caching friends. In the company of both HKCB & 11HPG11 this was going to be another memorable caching road trip for many reasons.
This is the mission that we had set ourselves up for several months back. It was HKCB's idea, I was just dumb enough to think it was a challenge and I'd be up for it, 11HPG11 was silly enough to come along for the ride once we confirmed a spare seat (Nova Lightening pulled out for family reasons).
We were going to try to beat the NZ one day record in New Zealand (it would have been easier with 4 people), so after 2.5hrs sleep after a good feed at Omarama we were ready to go. This was the number two hundred and fifty first on what was to be an epic day with what amounted to 401 caches collected for the day and about 38 DNF's. We managed this with 10minutes to spare but by this time we were done for and still had to drive back to Kaiapoi. All in all an epic days caching with good friends and something I don't think any of us will repeat in a hurry.
All in all it was going to be a big day with a number of challenges, great scenery, and of course great company. Fantastic driving along and up here as the landscape was so different from what we are used to back in the Waikato. One good thing about backroads being that we could continue our neferious activites without being disturbed by muggles.
Nice quick find here without any issues .
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

What a Mega Mission for a group of Hamilton Over Achievers! A great trip, a long time in the planning. I teamed up with Cats&Dragons and HKCB to grab a couple of caches while in Christchurch and surrounding areas for the 2015 Mega Event. We flew out from Auckland on Friday night and traveled to Dunedin in the dark of the night. Stopped for a few hours sleep before setting off to grab caches in the Otago area on Saturday before attempting a few more on Sunday and then arriving at the Mega on the Monday. An amazing, yet crazy road trip
When C&D mentioned a day with over 400 caches I should have turned and ran... instead I said yes, and here we are. 401 caches in 23 hours and 50 minutes. All done on about 2.5hr of sleep. It was hard work with only 3 of us and there were times that were hard and tiring but I still had a blast! An amazing experience that one has to be slightly crazy to even consider
My boss loves the term 'claytons' so I have become used to things that are something but aren't something at the same time. We had no problems on this claytons road.

On our epic CANZ trip around the South Island. Have found Marlborough, Nelson, Tasman, West Coast and Canterbury, now heading south to Oamaru for a conference and then on to find Otago and Southland.
Today was a easy day with no pressure so we quietly geocached our way from Timaru to Oamaru, but as we were finding caches live with the iPhone it was bit difficult as cell coverage was patchy. This was the next one that popped up. Certainly was a Clayton's Road. Not sure it even went anywhere. All the trees along the road side have had their side branches ripped off by one of those big tractor cutters and they looked really awful and all the debris has been left lying there. It's a real mess but we managed to find GZ and found the cache exposed but intact. Signed and replaced where it should be. Hopefully safe from any more tree ripping.
Thanks erninz for another smilie on our road trip.

Zoomed in on this one. Cheers for the cache, but we must really get going or we will never get to Omaru.
Interesting road. Thankfully we didn't need to go through blackberry or scratchy shrubs.
Quick find, thanks

With a name like that - was not even sure if I had to get the right end to drive in! Thanks.
We enjoyed the day caching in this area

So many caches done to remember all, but got a kick out of all that we found (0ver 600 in 8 days)

Found on our Invercargill to Christchurch road trip. Thanks to all the cache owners who have put out some great caches in some great locations, we enjoyed our trip and enjoyed many of the places we found ourselves. SL TFTC.
The railway crossing was an interesting one - it certainly scared the living daylights out of the geo-nana, I'm sure she had visions of us getting stuck on the tracks! Certainly a strange road, we thought we were driving down some farmers private road - the gates at either end seemed very out of place. Found the cache quickly and left a TB behind. TFTC
Well, dunno about that road. Wasn't game about whether we would have been able to turn around after the railway line so back tracked to the main road.
Found it together with Team Autoværn on our New Zealand tour back in 2013.

decided to stop for this last Canty cache before heading over to Otagolands - onlookers caught up with me at this one! TFTC!!
Batteries of GPS died just as we approached gz but we made a quick find using the hint. Found with debsnz
Initially thought this was some farmers track so took a round about route, coming in from the other side. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
A quick find along a nice quiet little back road. Bobby was very interested in the bees up the road! TFTC.
loved watching the bees in their hives. We made sure our windows were shut first though. Thanks

Another quick park and grab, don't think we have every crossed a railway line crossing quite like the one at the end of this road. TFTC

What a lovely country lane, just ripe for commercial developement by some 'jaffa' from up north. Plent of time to ferret out the cache and enjoy the surroundings before the dozers move in !
Time for another trip to the South Island, this trip that has being planned a while back as I needed to get down South for a family reunion and also catch up with Mrs Yeetrees who has being down in the South Island for nearly 6 months now spending some valuable time with her Mum.
After finding GC21M0C - Relics At Glenavy (South Canterbury), it was time to hop back into the RAV4 and continue on my travel testing the vehicle to its max. Yah more country roads, more dust, dirt and mud to make sure that the vehicle gets dirty.
Arriving near GZ, I was able to find a safe parking spot close to GZ and it was time to get out of the car and go and look for the cache. As I was making my way towards GZ, I decided to read the hint and once at GZ it took a few seconds to find what I was looking for and I soon spotted something and soon realised that it was the cache.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced it back as found. Thanks erninz for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (5461). A very interesting name for a road indeed.
Now it time to go to Waimate and catch up with Mrs Yeetrees and her parents and grab some food and unpack the car [^] .....

There seems to be lots of these "extra" roads around here....good for caching at least. Thanks erninz
4893. On our way home to Christchurch from the Mega Event in Dunedin we decided to spend a couple of nights in Oamaru while geocaching in the area. After the second night this was our day of caching between Oamaru and Christchurch. Got up quite early and after breakfast off we went. This was the ninth cache find of the day. GPS took us straight there and the container was soon in hand and the log signed. Loved the road - just what we expected! Thanks for the cache, Rodney and Iris.
Thanks for bringing me to this location. A quick find on a beautiful day.

I visited your cache as part of a week-long self indulgent Geocaching trip from Nelson to Bluff and back again. I apologise for not leaving a completely personalised log, but I do want to thank you for the time, money and effort you put into placing your caches. Without people like you who place caches, there would be nothing for the rest of us to come and find. You are fantastic
This cache was found as part of the New Zealand MEGA 2012 Event trip.

Reperio at 0920.
Came by this one with Roostaman on the way to Dunedin for the mega event, and whilst this one wasn't listed on our GPS, we soon spotted the road leading in and from there it was straight forward. The geo trail through the grass even led us straight to it.
Gratias erninz.

Find # 4357 and a total of 113 today with Marcus Vitruvius on the 3rd day of our NZ Mega trip, on the way south from Timaru to Dunedin. Another nice cache and hide and a quick find then on the way again. TNLNSL TFTC erninz,

A quaint little side road that lead to this cache. The trampled grass led me straight to the cache.
Found during 'The Gangsters' trip to New Zealand, being Big Matt, The Rats, steeba and myself.
A quick detour off the highway for an equally quick find.
Thanks erninz for the cache.

Day 2, Geraldine to Dunedin. After solving the new Glenavy Multis we went after some on the closer ones around town first. A nice easy cache. Thanks
Found this cache as part of the Gangster's Aussie assault on the first NZ Mega with Big Matt, FarmerFrenzten and steeba.
We were interested to read the strange muggle card contained within the cache.
Thanks

Found on the "Gangsters" NZ Mega 2012 trip with steeba, The Rats and Farmer Frentzen. It may have been a Claytons but it took us to a find today.
Thanks erninz for the cache. Stats for our trip can be found here http://www.campersdownunder.com.au/geocaching/NZTrip/stats2.html

It was rather dark and cool by the time we got here just after midnight. Last cache of a rather large day! Cheers Gav
Boy, did I wander around, GPS in hand, trying to find this road. Pulled off too early.
After chasing the cache owner all morning, 'twas good to find this cache as the traffic was getting busy.
