The first stage (the least challenging part) has changed as new owners have purchased the home. The letterbox which was previously the clue has bee replaced, a big fence has been put up and conditions are no longer conducive to this being a cache.
This home in Clanfield Streets was the former home of Alf and Freda Clanfield, my great grandparents who contributed significantly to Rockhampton in Business, Local Government and in Charity for many decades, plus in the Mt Morgan mine.
Clanfield brothers as a business helped in the early development of the southern end of Dean Street, and the streets surrounding this home at Clanfield street which was named after Alf. Payment for their work in this project was six parcels of land, one being this home they lived in up until a few years before their deaths in the late 90's.
Alf and Freda Clanfield's remains can be found in the North Rockhampton Crematorium.

Had a good look around at GZ, had my final cord confirmed by a previous finder.
A checker would be of benefit here.
At WPT1 a 6ft fence encloses the yard with a solid gate, not comfortable to enter this secure grounds, couldn't see between the slats.
There has not been a find on this cache since June 2017 & all DNFs since then, could the COs check it please.

Hi there Alleycatz4700.
This is the 4th of 5 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here but we just couldn't locate your cache, so here's a DNF from us.

Ian and Penny

Hi there Alleycatz4700,
RE: Your cache **"C Brothers"**
We think that the cache is unable to be found, as there is nowhere to hide a clue outside No 244.

We started this puzzle some two years ago but had trouble at WP2 and as we had run out of time it went into the "next time" basket.
Today we found the coordinates for the final.
But the cache was elusive. A PAF confirmed we were in the correct place so we are wondering if after 14 months the cache may actually be missing?
Anyway, a shame as we enjoyed the puzzle and its history as we knew the family in question during our twenty years of Rockhampton domesticity.

What a glorious spot to hide a cache... right in with the nightlife in rockhampton lol wouldn't say child friendly TFTC
Found at 1:50 PM GAFF4.
Gosh - that was a tough cache and deserves the D/T rating o 4.0/3.5. We made it to the first WPT and found that we had to look in someone's private property. Wish the CO would say that you could do that!
Then at the second WPT we aimlessly looked all over until we found a note on the guard rail! Now was that a secondary hint? The real hint was later exposed, but it took us exactly to where we had originally searched from the first hint on the rail. BTW - we couldn't find any reference to the name of the brother on that big plaque!
Then it was a huge effort to actually reveal the cache - and it was only that I could hear a crunching sound that I thought that there was something under there!
A really tough cache for us which deserves the impressive D/T rating that's for sure - well done!
Thanks Alleycatz4700.
Feedback: Giving it a favourite as I will remember this one for a long time.

A few DNF's prompted me to check and the cache was MIA. I have replaced the cache again about 3 feet from it's original location in a place less likely to be muggled. Cache good to go. To those who looked at the last adn reported DNF - I'm ok for you to mark as found, esp consider you contacted me and confirmed you had looked in the right place.
The CO has suggested we can log this as a found, and given the time and effort put into it, that was much appreciated. Unfortunately one of us has higher moral standards than the other two...so I will be making this a DNF (I cant have him showing me up now, can I?) I particularly enjoyed WP2. Well played. Maybe I will pick this one up next time I am in town!
It has been far too long since Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and I did stupid things on a roadtrip a long way from home. So, a caching road trip from Brisbane to Rocky & Yeppoon and a few ports (and mountains) in between was planned. The well planned though overly optimistic caching itinerary included miscellaneous mind bending puzzles, half a dozen or so of Queensland's Oldest caches a few wee hill climbs, a healthy selection of unloved caches and any other interesting caches in between.
We had done some homework on this one before our road trip. At the first waypoint, Mr Fungus was despatched from the car to look fr the clue - with our assurances that the home owner knows the hint is there and you don't look *too much* like you are stealing from the box. We were brimming with confidence on arrival at the second waypoint. A thorough search of the coordinates near our parking spot led us to think outside the square and change our location ever so slightly. This location better matched the hint, but there was no clue to be found. We systematically searched everywhere. Finally Fungus made the discovery in a place I had already discounted as completely improbable. Very nicely done, great urban hide - if we had found the cache, I would have awarded a favourite for this waypoint alone!
Off to the final, where we searched for ten minutes then applied the offset which we had forgotten, changed located slightly and searched again. Having spoken to the CO later in the night, we are confident of our location. As dusk was approaching and we still had a mountain to climb before it got dark, we called the DNF. Later the next day, we returned again and Seff again scaled the heights for a look to verify the container is missing. The CO needs to check on this one.
This cache is worthy of the DT - and challenged us all the way. Just a pity we couldn't complete it today.
Thanks Girl4God20

We managed to solve all the clues at the various way points and had ourselves a final GZ to work with. Unfortunately despite 2 visits there and drawing the uncomfortable attention of numerous muggles passing by above and below (no way to be inconspicuous here) we still did not manage to locate the cache. A disappointing end to what had been a challenging cache to get that far.
Right to the exact point and if there was something id say the roadworks got rifld of it
Couldn't find first clue, scared of hanging around too long looking sus. Found some numbers underneath the water meter lid, but all others do too. Two cars parked out the front and on the grass verge made spying hard too. Thanks anyway
Got further today on this one at least! Finally found the clue at 244:) So a partial win got to the second location and had a hard time finding the next clue, we were a little lost, I think, trying to find out where to start, looked around a bit, but not sure we were in the right spot. Next time might make a wider perimeter etc, look further, to make sure we're not missing anything.
After the last log - I'd like to point out that its a 'clue' and not a cache that you are finding at the first co-ordinate. And it is still there. It hasn't gone missing. If you don't find it, get creative. Once you see the clue, you'll recognize it. The second stage is also a clue too - but different again.
Got to 244, had a real good search around everywhere, not sure where else there was to look... and couldn't find the clue, not sure if we just weren't clever enough today or if it's maybe gone???
It's been 2 years since this one has been found. I checked it today, its all good, the clues are still in place, and its good to go. The owner did put in a fence, but it makes no difference as you don't have to enter into the actual yard.
The first clue is found completely on the front strip and the owner is aware of the clue being there. He gives permission as long as you don't go through his gate. However since his renovations, he has moved the clue about 5 meters southwards of its original location.
NOTE: The first clue is accessible, but the owner relocated it about 5 meters south of its original position.

Was unsure about the first waypoint. The house has a new fence put in. So going to pass, not sure if it was meant to be on footpath or actually in there yard.
Cache container was muggled - gone completely. It has now been replaced and slightly better hidden but still in the same location.
Hated stage 1. Loved stage 2. Maneuvered my big body into position for stage 3....... nothing there Confirmed supposed hide loc with former finder. So sorry.
PS. Didn't really hate s1... it just creeped me out a bit. Cheers & TFT[?]H!!

Did the first part of this one ages ago but had to abandon it due to bad weather and darkness. Finally got back to it today. Cache in the first place we looked! Found with Drongo7 on a drizzly old day, but a good day for cache hunting as there wasn't tp many people or traffic about.
The starting location is a front yard - the home recently sold to new owners who are aware of the cache and the existence of the clue in their front yard. Please be courteous to them and in return they do understand what you are doing. There is no need to venture further in than their letterbox/start of the path.
Found with Bedmaker while in town for the events this weekend.
This one took us a while to finally find due to all the sneaky bits and pieces involved.
However it was one of my favourites for the weekend.

Cache Raid to Rockhampton with Gunnie69..
Numbers are the name of the game & so we came to partake of the caches in the area
Having struggled to divine a complete solution courtesy of google we had managed to get a hint from CO
Arriving at start point we soon had WP1 info but then it all went pear shape
We searched long & hard to no avail up & down here & there...
Luckily I spotted something that then got us back on track & Gunnie69 soon had cache to hand
Well crafted cache and challenging to boot

Thanks Girl4god20

Arriving at the first WP Tassiegirl13 and I were lucky enough to have a bit of help to narrow down where we would find the co-ords to the next WP. So with that help we were able to get the first part of the business done before any suspicious muggle neighbours starting wondering what we were up to.
With an event to go to this afternoon we weren’t able to head to WP2 until after dark and this is where we hit the hurdle. We must have spent over half an hour with torches looking in all manner of places. I suppose us looking at night wasn’t the smartest of times to look.
Next day we went back in daylight hoping the sun might shed a different light on our search...but no it didn’t.
We headed off to the event that afternoon and discussed the cache with a previous finder. Apparently we had our hands on what we needed to find but didn’t know it.
With that info we returned again and started poking around some more. Then with a cry of joy Tassiegirl had it! Oh that is sneaky but hey I love sneaky!
Now with the final WP loaded in the GPS we headed off to GZ, no problems retrieving the container as we had the area to ourselves.
Signed the log and started to think... now where could we do a hide like the second WP back home.
TFTC a favourite for me.

Google was not being much help to get me started on this one so I asked for a hint on the starting point from the CO... Ah, ok, thanks for that bit... [^]
In town this weekend with a handful of other Brisbane based hunters, Kaisho53 and I chose to tackle this one at the hottest time of the day, an option we regretted later on...
We got the info from WP1 easy enough and headed to the next stop. Hmm, I recall the CO email mentioning something about multi level and yep, there it is... We scoured the parking level first and found nothing of any use, so made our way to the alternate. There we found something very useful but failed to locate the clue we sought. It took us quite some time and out in the blazing sun, our sense of humour was really being tested...
After checking the obvious locations multiple times, Kaisho53 stumbled across something that sparked a thought and a new search began... I reached for something and HEY, there it is... That is very nicely done indeed...
Final coords on hand, we made our way there and on arrival, spotted the container before we made it go GZ... I tackled the 3 * terrain and extracted the cache. I stayed in place while I added names to the log, then replaced it and found my way back to terra firma...
A well set up cache and some very clever hiding techniques used... I like it and for your handy work, a favourite point shall come your way... [^]
Cheers Girl4god20.

Had some time in Rocky while my wife attended The Big Day In so tried some caches. Arrived at 244 too late for the real estates open house, couldn,t find anyting that looked like a clue and felt a bit uncomforable snooping around, so gave it a miss for the day
Didnt have much of a go at this one. Went to what I believe is the first waypoint, to find a house for sale, and nothing obvious at either of the numbers. Not wanting to spend too much time at the location, in case I was wrong, I gave the game away.
Cheers

Thanks for the hunt. Loved the clever hides here. Final cache I thought i found where it was and was going to it (but sliding down) then I saw the cache about two meters away from what i thought was the obvious hide.
Heck! I forgot my pen! I'll go back and sign it another day, But I left a coin so you know I was there!

Had no problem in finding the first waypoint. Went to waypoint 2 which had me scratching my head. Found a location near by that fit the hint but I couldn't find anything. Gave up the search after 40 mins. Another day.
