Been out to check on this one today. It has gone missing so it is time to leave the spot open for someone else.
Had a quick look before I set off on my hike. Looks like a tricky one. A big car let me search without too many muggle eyes but no luck. Will try again
I gave this one 25 mins, and knowing the CO style from other caches I knew I was looking for something tricky. GZ is really quite overgrown, and with 2x GPS giving me good triangulation, I was pretty sure I was looking in the right places. I'll give it another go next time I'm in the area.
*22/4/18, Found @ 5:56 pm, Find # 7815.*
Today I headed off to Ballarat with biggles1024 to attend a couple of events, this being one of them but also stopping along the way to find other caches of interest.
Now with the events over, it was time to head for home but first we had to redeem ourselves as earlier in the day we did have a look for this one but with a lot of muggles about and some old info resulted in a DNF.
After talking to the CO at one of the events we decided to make a return visit, this time the place was virtually empty and also the fact the we where looking at the correct elevation a quick find was made.
**Thanks to 6Hinemoa2 for placing this cache.**

**Traditional Cache Find #2045**
SteMicMitSar and I headed out early to today to go to Ballarat for a CITO and an event and also find caches of interest in the area. We had some trouble with this one when we first attempted it earlier today. Fortunately, we met the CO at an event and some additional information was forthcoming and subsequently, a quick find ensued.

Visiting the sites of Bacchus Marsh and Darley on a tour with Chook’s oldies. Her Mum grew up in the area but it’s changed a lot in 50 something years. Regaled us with stories of riding her bike to school and swimming with eels in the river and old man such and such who lived in a house on the corner ... Lots of fun and the gorge is gorgeous. TFTC
Ive been coming down here for a swim for years. Not so much anymore and its been here for most of that haha. took me probably 5 mins longer then it should have tftc
This is a place I've never been. When we arrived Saturday afternoon the place was full of cars. There was one car spot left, so we happily parked. Check the cache. Amazing! It's right there where we parked. Had cover from my own car. We looked a bit but there were people nearby so we left it. Went to the swimming spots and took a long walk. On the way back we looked again. Found it easily then. Thanks for bringing us here. We enjoyed our visit.
Finally logging our finds after so long from the phone. We came up this way while on our way to Trentham Falls for a picnic.

With some family time today with time off work, we headed out for an adventure and decided on the lower east side of Lerderderg which we hadn't been to before. We packed a lunch and took off and parked in the car park which I thought would be empty but there was a few people around. Thankfully no one close enough to stop the geo kids and I finding this one quickly. Signed and returned as found.

Too many muggles when we arrived, but was able to park close by on the way out. Took us a few minutes. Had us stumped, but we finally got our hands on it. Brilliant spot on a fantastic late winters day. TFTC
Oops! Completely forgot this one. Container replaced and hint adjusted. All set to go again.
Sorry about late maintenance. 3 caches in a row needed fixing and I am hoping that it must mean it's all over now.
Enjoy MacKenzies Flat

This will have to wait until we return in 5 weeks. It will become a different size hide then.
Found it but didn't have pen. It was on the ground and not sure where to put it back. May need some repair.
Find #799
A nice easy find. The nice quiet picnic ground is now periodically interrupted by the near by orchid and its loud gas gun firing off a few shots, Very annoying. No Birds and No muggles here at the moment, which is rare. Thanks 6Hinemoa2. TFTC

Found with georocks101. A quick find to get us started on our adventure today. Thanks 6Hinemoa2
TFTC - found on our second attempt, got in early this time before the muggles arrived.
After a great time caching together as team VANS (Vamp1blade, Ausfox; Neville_devil and Sims_family) around Mt Disappointment a few weeks ago, today we were all up for another adventure. This time in the Lerderderg State Park.
Ausfox; had the great idea of leaving one car here at MacKenzies flat then driving around to near GC45AP9 Acts of Gord - Top Gun Anthem in another and hiking down from there. Before we took off to start the hike we couldn't resist finding this little guy. Neville_devil made the find.
What a beautiful spot this is. I reckon an event here in the future would be a wonderful idea as well.
With all of the members loaded in the car we were off to start the rest of the day.
Thank you 6Hinemoa2 for the cache and nice easy one to start the day.

Good hide. Took me a little while and I had to trust the clue. Paper a bit wet which was not surprising after weather we have had.
Round 6 of the quick afternoon "I'm Sad - So Cheer Me Up, Bacchus Marsh" jaunt. With my phone now on 6%, there was an added level of hysteria while trying to find this one. Eventually I found it without bursting a coronary artery. The phone squeezed off two more photos, then called it a day. I'd say 4 from 6 was cause to be happy, except that the first thing I saw when driving out of the McKenzies car park was a very large dead wombat on the side of the road. I like wombats, but not the road-kill variety. Let's just say there was a stop at the Golden Arches for some frozen dairy therapy.
Thanks heaps, 6Hinemoa2!

This place was muggle central on this delightful Sunday lunchtime. Nevertheless I managed to locate this sneaky cache without detection Thanks for another quality cache 6Hinemoa2
Found this cache today on a Geology field trip that some of the third years planned for the first years, had a really awesome time on this trip but sadly only had time for one cache. Learnt a lot of new things about this region enough to put in an earthcache id say haha but maybe in the future. Had a great time with the other 8 member on the trip that had to deal with my nerd out about geocaching hahaha. Anyways I thought the camouflage was clever but the cache itself was quickly spotted. Thanks for the cache and the lovely day out.
P.S: didnt appriciate the wet boot when i slipped on one of the river crossing

A nicely done cache at this location. We only took a few minutes to find the cache as the co-ords had us right where we were supposed to be and then it was a case of looking and searching for the well done cache container.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for this geocache here today. Without someone to hide there will never be any more to find.

Found by Mary & David, in company with The Coffees, at 1205. Parked right next to it and enjoyed a quick find. Don't know how we missed it four years ago. Lovely weather today, and a lot of people are enjoying the park. Our thanks to 6Hinemoa2.
First find before today's walk around Lerdy Gorge. Quickly spotted on approach. Nice hide!

After a day of running around sourcing various hides for some new caches to be released at our upcoming event, we decided that it was important to turn at least one more green box into a smiley. Found this one by torchlight! TFTC
In the area this morning prior to a planned expedition, initially I looked around a bit before I spotted the cleverly camoed cache. Ripper cache and nice spot, thanks 6Hinemoa2.
#1903 Away from Melbourne for a couple of days touring around and picking up a few caches along the way. Nice place to have a cuppa and enjoy the area - no-one else around so it was nice and peaceful. Searched here for quite a while before discovering it - should've looked there first but the GPSr was insisting elsewhere. Thanks 6Hinemoa2.
Found it with the help of Vee, Klara, Maleah, Stu, Elliot and Nan and Pop. It was a little hard to search with so many cars in the car park.
This cache is consistent with the quality of hides that I've come to expect from this CO.
The hide was found after a brief search...but it is very well done.
We found this one after an 18km hike around the Lerdy.
Tftc and favourite.
Cheers

Found at the end of a long 18km hike from McKenzies Flat and then along the scenic rim with Dog-gone, Jacko83 and Mudbrick.
Back at the parking lot enjoying a rest it was time to look for a cache that would not be too strenuous for some weary cachers . We had seen many of the mentioned eager cyclists along this road earlier, but fortunately late in the afternoon the area was pretty quiet.
Knowing the CO we didn't expect a plain sistema behind a tree. With accurate co-ords we soon honed in on the cleverly camouflaged cache, of the typical high standard.
Thanks, 6Hinemoa2 - always a pleasure to seek out your caches.

Hi there 6Hinemoa2.
We found your cache "MacKenzies Flat"at 2:30:00 PM today, & this now makes our find count 12695.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache around 2m from where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find,

I've attempted this cache twice before and in my defence I think there was more growth on the trees! Today I arrived with hubby and the geokids (4 & 6) and told him this one was really hard, says it's over there, I've had no luck etc. etc. the cheeky muggle hubby had it in seconds! Lol. Man that's frustrating! Lol. Anyway I was pleased to finally get a smilie here! We then headed off for a walk in a area I've never explored before (only made it as far as the carpark)! Adding some pics of our day. We came back to a lovely picnic lunch. Thanks for the fab cache and getting us out exploring
At the start of our hike out to the Dam and camp. First cache while the other guys got ready. A bit hard to find but finally got it. Nice hide.

Very cunning little hiding spot; took a lot of thinking even with the hint!
Didn't find it. Found a suspicious hole in a tree. We looked high and low but didn't succeed in our challenge.
First time visit to this area. Much enjoyed, along with family and friends.
The cache was a tricky wee hide, of intriguing design, soon found with the help of the hint.
Signed the log and re-hidden safely
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P and others on the day

After a a few minutes of fruitless searching this attempt was reluctantly abandoned due to muggle activity.
Found with LouiseAnn and SirJ-OZ on our last day of multi March. A nice quick find. Tftc
With Abby off seeing a movie with a friend today, my old buddy Tim and I decided to take a hike in Lerderderg and grab a few caches on the way. I'd setup my pocket query of all caches in the vicinity and was surprised to find this one was with 10 metres of where we parked. A short search, and our first cache was found for the day. Very cute camo - TFTC!
Since we were in the area, we just had to pick this cache up. We picked this cache up at 3:30pm.
Sharkiefan, SirJ-Oz and I headed out to collect as many multi caches around Bacchus Marsh and Melton. We had a list, and a plan that I put together to help me complete my Multi March challenge. Thanks for the cache 6Hinemoa2.

Find #1785. Found @ 15:28 with LouiseAnn and sharkiefan.
The plan for today was to Melton, Bacchus Marsh, Sunbury and surrounding areas and strip mine them for their luscious multi-cache booty as part of our Multi-March adventure. This was find 11 of 35 for the day, with only 2 DNF over 13 hours.
We found this while in the area on anothe mission. We were lucky to be able to make the grab while there was a gap in the constant stream of muggles. Sharkiefan spotted it on a quick recon before we begun our hike, and then LouiseAnn found and retrieved on our return to the carpark.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.

Found while having a BBQ after the hike through lerdie, great camo, took me a little but to find!!! TFTC
Found a very long time ago.
Sorry for my delayed log.
I have a huge build up of saved unlogged found caches and now the old app is retiring, I thought I better get onto a couple while I have a few hours free and it is too hot to go hunting.
My apologies again.
Cheers and T.F.T.C!

Hadn't been to this area of the park before, so I was looking forward to my walk. There were only 2 cars here this morning, all the better for searching in peace. How about all them apples, gee whiz that's a lot. Found the sneaky hide and added my name to the log. TFTC 6Hinemoa2.
Second last find of the day on our way home from a shopping trip to Melbourne. This place was a nice surprise on this very warm day. We joined a few other families by letting our kids have a dip in river and have a chance to just be kids and muck about with rocks, mud, tadpoles and all good stuff like that.
By fluke we managed to park almost on top of the cache and after a bit of looking I spotted this well made hide. The log however was wet and mouldy so I replaced it with an nearly identical RITR logsheet and dried out the container before replacing it back in its hidy spot. The mucky old logsheet will probably float around in the car for a good 6 months before i get around to turfing it so if you need it I am sure we will run into each other at some geocaching event.
Thanks for showing us this lovely location and I am sure we will be back another time to throw the kids in the water. TFTC 6Hinemoa2. +1 Fav Points for the hide and the good memory with the family.

We looked for ages, with no luck
Even checked the hint and still luck.

Luckily I spied it from the right angle.
A neat little cammo it was.
Would have loved an apple form the nearby tree.

Third stop on a morning out with geobuddy BJ. Much to his disgust he was left in the car here as it is a no dog area. Luckily I didn't have to leave him for too long. TFTC 6Hinemoa2 - camo was great
Welfare check afte the DNF. Cache is still in its location. All good and correct. It just did not want to be found.
Many thanks to SnowyAU for checking the status of this cache from the CO. A true blue cacher I feel.
