Thanks to landseka for alerting me to the fate of this one. I found the lid ut not the contain er. Since the fence has been replaced with a modern version and the cache trashed. it is time for it to go.
Thanks to all who have taken the time to visit this historic fence.

After wandering around the Showgrounds and dreaming about buying a new caravan at the caravan show I headed out to Bacchus Marsh to attend the Leaping Lerdie! Event but as usual I was a tad early so I was able to pick up a couple more around the Marsh.
I was heading to the Lerderderg Gorge and drove past this one which I will admit that I have had a go at looking for on a previous occasion but just ran out of time.
With a slight hint I was able to turn the green dot into a yellow smiley on my map on this visit.
The fence here is now a modern version but I have come across som3 old ones in my travels.
Thanks 6Hinemoa6 TFTC.

Beautiful day and a satisfying find. Chuffed we found it as can imagine you could spend ages! Thanks!
After attending the Event last night and being looked after by K & A it was time to head out and check on a few more caches that I have not found on previous visits.
After my adventure up the hill it was time for some lunch and the one last cache in this area before starting to head for Geelong.
I spent more time looking for this guy than any other cache this trip so eventually it was time to admit defeat and make that phone call for help.
I was so close but not close enough after finally discovering what I was looking for and it makes sense now why this cache has now twenty one F.P's

Cheers for the creative hide! Kids sat in the car while adults went out searching. Haha. On our way back home after a walk to the dam.
Early wake up this morning in order to meet up with Ahomburg and Leafotwind, what's the plan for today caching........ shock horror there. Todays caching was to be fairly cruisy mainly target multi's and maybe a missing d/t or 2 for Leafotwind.
This was one of those caches that were done completely because we were driving past it. So what exactly happened, ahomburg stated that he had found this one before so leafotwind and I went out a looking. After a rather extended time meandering around ahomburg came to the rescue. Anyways thanks for the cache and the clever hide.

A boys day out saw ahomburg, myself and buhfuhguh travel the countryside in search of caches as opposed to wildlife. Mind you we managed the best imitation of a bogged 4WD at one point but got ourselves out without too many problems.
As we were now driving to the GZ of a particularly old multi we stopped at this one given the number of FPs it had and the fact that it was literally on our way. After some lengthy searching, ahomburg popped out and rediscovered what he had already found and had forgotten. Well spotted AH.

While on my way to Ballarat with biggles1024 to attended a couple of events, we made a slight detour through this area to have a bit of a look around.
We were in the middle of completing a multicache and it was taking us out this way so seeing that we were passing by, a stop was in order.
At GZ we started looking around in the many places that a cache could be hidden but it wasn't in those spots but a little while later I looked in the right spot and there it was, very nice camoe indeed.

Driving along the road we thought this was a good one to stop at. We parked just off the driveway and with much confidence strolled to GZ. Searched high and low and still hadn't found it. Time to read logs and the hint. Ahhh.... now I knew what I was looking for. It didn't take long to find it. I placed log in a zip lock bag as the container no longer seals. A lovely fence btw. TFTC
With some family time today with time off work, we headed out for an adventure and decided on the lower east side of Lerderderg which we hadn't been to before. We packed a lunch and took off but not before stopping at this cache. It had me going for awhile and the geo wife too who usually comes along and finds them straight away. I had to read through some previous logs before something stood out and the cache was located. The log book has dried out but it seems that someone has broken the tread to the container and the lid won't screw on likes its meant to be. Signed and returned as found.

I literally kicked your cache as I was walking around...making it an unexpectly easy find. Great camo!
Unfortunately your cache was filled with water and the log soaked. We dried it out the best we could, but it could do with some TLC.
3/5/17 - A great spot that now has a smiley on the map This is one of many caches we targeted and found today.
Oh my goodness, yet another day out with the hilarious boys - Wozzle68 and Snap Happy, once again the giggles were non-stop. [^] I think we all got an education . We cached in Bacchus Marsh for the day and as I'd not really cached there before the boys were most gracious by allowing me to stop at caches they'd already found (it did help being the driver! haha)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've had a big, but generally a relaxing couple of weeks away in Victoria.
Ballarat, Border track, Pinnaroo, Bendigo, Wedderburn, Swan Hill, Maryborough, Mt Beckworth and Mt Gambier are just a few of the spots I have visited during my caching trip. There was an emergency room visit, loads of driving, stacks of laughter, amazing food, lots of new learnings (oh my goodness!!), and a wonderful mix of fabulous people.
I am loving this country and getting out and about in it!

Well This one nearly had me stumped. But after nearly stumbing my toe the cache was found. Excellent camo. I was lucky to find this cache after about 5min. It could have been alot longer. The log needs a zippy bay it looks like it gets wet. I didn't have a spare with me. Thanks **6Hinemoa2.** TFTC.

After exploring the nearby Lederderg Gorge with Simsfamily, vampblade1 and Neviile devil we were figuring our next cache when Simsfamily called out "there's a cache just up ahead. We spent far to long searching here until Simsfamily accidentally exposed the cache while checking their GPS for the location.

After a great caching trip through the Lerderderg State Park with Ausfox; Neville-Devil and Vamp1blade we were on our way to a nearby mystery when I spotted this guy on the map. A quick yell out and we were stopped and on the hunt. We were struggling and finding much. I accidentally uncovered the cache without realizing, while I was checking out my phone looking for logs for clues. Ausfox; though I was pulling his leg but I still hadn't even notice that I had uncovered the hid.
Thank you 6Hinemoa2 for the hide. It did have us going for a while

Round 5 of the quick afternoon "I'm Sad - So Cheer Me Up, Bacchus Marsh" jaunt. I spent waaay too long looking in the wrong direction for this one. Reading the clue turned out to be quite helpful (who'd've thunk?!?) Of course, I'd mis-read the cache description and thought the property owner was *not* happy with geocachers, and spent the entire time watching out for some guy with a shotgun. Hence, Bacchus Marsh helped me move from a sad emotional state to... anxiety disorder.
Thanks heaps, 6Hinemoa2!

Tried looking for this one last week some time when we were out looking for possible hides for our Marshian Invasion event, but as it was night, we weren't very successful. It's amazing what daylight does to one's searching powers. A well camouflaged cache! TFTC
Another great camo and cache construction 6Hinemoa2. I like the post and rail fences and this is a great example.
Smart work! Started the day at Mackenzie's Flat with it's "beware of muggles" only to find a school group there. Did a quick search but seeing as this co tends to trick me I opted to come back when less busy. Moved on to this half expecting not to find, but to my delight found it! Also dropped off a trackable. Tftc!
Thanks for bringing me to this location. What a awesome hide well done i defiantly like this one. And i enjoyed reading the history on the fences.
Hi there 6Hinemoa2.
We found your cache "Post and Rail"at 2:18:00 PM today, & this now makes our find count 12694.
Our cache run today started at a random cache on the map. We then navigated to the one the GPS said was next closest etc, and we ended up logging 3 and DNFing 0.
We awarded this cache a favourite point for the ingenious construction.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache around 2m from where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container lid appears broken and won't seal to the container.
Took: Nothing.
Left: A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Went for a drive to see parts of the local area I hadn't yet explored. Was very pleased with myself when I found this one, even if I did find it by accident. Thanks for sending me down such a beautiful part of town
Today I spent the morning caching in and around Bacchus March to get a few more smilies. I looked everywhere here and had no luck. Even ripped my pants searching! So then I read some previous logs and something clicked. Cache found in seconds! Many thanks. Clever clever

All Ok. Just repairs to lid. Unfortunately not many swaps. They have disappeared yet again.
The unique post and rail fence has been replaced with a newer version. I liked the original but that's progress.

Coming back from the Lerderderg Gorge we stopped to find this one. After searching for a short while we were pleased to make the find of a very sneaky hide. Thanks 6Hinemoa2
On our way home after a mini break to shep decided to pick up a few finds.
Spent a bit of time hunting for this one then like some other finder stumbled across the container.

Found on a day of adventure, laughs & caches in Bacchus Marsh with Wozzle68, The Tritonz, Frog_Lady, DAB, Jacko83, Naw'al, Buckleys Babe, Roads75 & ThePacMan, this one took quite a while to locate, there are so many places that could be concealing a cache, and such a great view of the mountains and quiet farm areas, just as we had almost given up hope the container was located almost by accident and we signed the log

We spend an enjoyable day caching in Bacchus Marsh with fellow cachers from Geelong and Ballarat, and at the end of the day made our way here.
Well, you sure got us with this one, 6Hinemoa2 - we looked everywhere!
Then we tried to reread the cache name, and then the hints, and then the cache notes, and still nothing. Surely a big group shouldn't take more than a few minutes to find a cache?
What would the CO be thinking in an area like this?
Our usual searching yielded nothing, even when we increased our search radius.
And just as we thought we would have to log a DNF, TheTritonz found it completely accidentally!
Success, finally, and a favourite from me for a clever hide that sure had us stumped for a long time.
Thanks for the fun, 6Hinemoa2 - I'm always learning something new from your hides.

Well, its February already and a weekend, time to again get together with my caching partner in crime SedgwickDave. It looked like the weather was going to be perfect yet again so the plan was to head west towards Lerderderg State Park, picking up as many caches as possible along the way including many higher terrain caches then we were used to. We started bright and early due to the extra distance from home for this destination and the fact we needed to be back home by 6PM for me to play basketball.
This was a seemingly simple drive by, however it had us walking in circles for a bit before I spotted a tell tail sign, indicated to Dave I had spotted it and watched in amusement as he searched, still unable to locate it. A small nudge and the cache was soon found.
Thanks to 6Hinemoa2 for the cache. TNLN.

Well is was the start of another caching month and this time I was super eager to get out caching and this time heading further west then before with the intention to tackle some bigger terrain caches. Today's run was focus on the Long Forest & Lerderderg state park where there were a number of quality caches found. As usual was on the trail with Ahomburg who was happy to start extra early to allow for the travel time. An epic run which ended with the insane "Acts of Cord - The Pinnacle", a cache I will never forget and the best gelati ever tasted afterwards. The self imposed 3 cache type rule also achieved with the total number of finds at 19 today.
This was one cache that for what ever reasons I had trouble spotting even after Ahomburg had spotted it. An impressive good hide this one. TFTC 6Hinemoa2

Another legendary cache run by The Demolition Crew (myself, TrailRunning, Quasar3671 and Rebel Acts). We have dubbed it Ballarat Smackdown II. This was a huge run taking us all the way from near Cardinia, via the northern suburbs of Melbourne, to Bacchus Marsh and Melton and finally Ballarat. A massive loop, and over 100 caches for the run. The company was as always fantastic, a lot of laughs, good dinner, and great caches. Many thanks to all the CO's for the hides, without them we wouldn't have been able to find anything.
Very much enjoyed the hide here and the location. Quite plesant. TFTC.

This cache was found by me today in the company of The Demolition Crew.
While I strive to make my logs personal to every cache, I have far too many logs to do, that I apologise in this instance for using a generic log. I thank you for the placement of this cache as it was one of many that made up a great day for me and the crew..
The Day's Blurb...
The annual holidays is always a great time to relax and take it easy, but not today. The Demolition Crew had decided that after such a long break from caching together that we would start the year off with a bang! So the planning minds were put into operation, and Ballarat Smackdown II was conceived.
The smackdown started along way from Ballarat, in fact in the hills around Cardinia Reservoir and from there is was a push across the northern suburbs of Melbourne through Melton & Bacchus Marsh. It being such a hot day, the waters of Pykes Creek Reservoir cooled and refreshed us, and we were soon off to start on the Ballarat caches.
Since our first Smackdown in the area, many new caches have popped up, so it was a fruitful run which ended well into the early morning. A couple of caches were replaced as a way of saying thanks to those who took the time to place them, and I think in the end my tally was well over 100 for the run.
It was a completely awesome day, and I thank you for placing the cache. We will return to the Ballarat area soon as there are still a number of caches we left undiscovered.

This was, cache # 24 of 118 finds for the day in the company of The Demolition Crew. Great effort on this one. My thanks to 6Hinemoa2 for the cache.
Found today in the company of Dutch Frangipani. #13 of 21 in a New Years Eve blitz of the area. How do you think of these crafty ideas for caches. We actually stumbled across this one by accident but soon had it in had and signed. The log book is a little moist but not too bad.
thanks for the cache 6hinemoa2.
thanks for the cache 6hinemoa2.
Tricky! Well thought out cache here. Had SorceySal and I confused for a bit until we had run out of options. Randomly picking up things hoping for something, we stumbled upon this one. Again lots of effort gone into hiding this cache. Adding a favourite for its creativity.
I found this one today while on my way to a picnic lunch with friends at Lerderderg Gorge. tftc.
Crusty.

Found while out with Biggles Bear on our monthly trip, this time to Bacchus Marsh and Gisborne. Nicely hidden cache that had us going for quite some time. I've seen this manner of hide before, but normally a lot smaller. Well done.
Thanks to 6Hinemoa2 for the cache.
Thanks to 6Hinemoa2 for the cache.
Found 11:40, after a brief search, in the company of Muzza. Great hide.
TNLN, CSI=2, thanks 6Hinemoa2.

When I got to the cache, some rabbits were feeding around it and one may have displaced the cache lid as the cache was open, in easy view, and the contents wet from previous days' rain. Was still able to sign log and replace lid. Left swaps.
