We placed this hide 8 years ago when there were no caches in Crookwell. That situation has changed now with some great local and nearby caches, so time to archive this one.
Will either get out to see what is going on or see if I can get a local cacher to go have a look. Very odd that it would disappear without even a find being recorded.
Yep, demerit not where the hint says. If say it's gone before ever being found. There's plenty of bottles and rubbish near by. Not sure why people do that then clean out geocaches.

I needed to find a virtual in May for a challenge cache in SA. The nearest one was in Crookwell. I then learned AngelG27 and SpecimenX were headed that way too, so we teamed up for the road trip via Goulburn. This one seems to have gone walkabout.

Nope, no joy for us here. Gave the place a good look but all we found was the lid of a film canister. Looks like this one has gone
Thanks anyway, O319

Despite looking high and low, this was unfortunately a DNF this time around. Maybe I will have better luck next time? Anyway, thanks for the cache listing and I will have another look next time I am in the area.
We based ourselves in quaint Binda last night and apart from a horrific storm which inncluded hail (not happy with dents in car) it proved to be a good base for many of the geocaches in the area. The countryside is looking awesome and we enjoyed the rural location, wonderful views and history. Thanks to O319 for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
It was on the ground, so we put it back in place. Didn't have a pen to log unfortunately
Decided to take a drive to Goulburn, along the back road.
Picked up caches along the way, and this was one of them.
Signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, O319, for us and others to find.

While staying in Goulburn on our travels we travelled to Crookwell and back. Approached GZ and found cache, signed log and replaced. Due to the number of caches found, I am doing a generic log. Thank you to CO's for placing these caches in their locations - it was fantastic to visit this area. TFTC
In Goulburn for a few days and this afternoon we decided to head out to Crookwell to find a few caches and as an extra bonus a couple of FTFs. Thanks to the COs - we learnt so much about the area.
Since that photo on the cache page was taken,
there has been some trackwork going on at the station
I wonder what they are up to ??
Well away from the newly restored railway tracks,
I poked around this construction,
and caught me a cache

Out for a blast on the battle scooter. This is one of my regular photo stops. Never thought to search for a cache here
This was our last cache find of the day before returning to our campsite ️ for the night. The cache was soon located once at Ground Zero and log book signed. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Team Lillieb05 were heading north to take in the sites around Lake Macquarie. This was a little detour on the way up as we planned on seeing Jenolan Caves for the first time. Found this hide as we pulled in for a stop. Thanks for the cache and the effort that goes into placing and maintaining all the great hides.
Found after playground in Crookwell this morning. Quick easy find with some friends.
Nice quick find for us here today. Accompanied by an very vocal chorus of frogs. Sounded great. Thanks for the cache.
Working in area and this made a quick stop to breakup some monotony. Thanks for placing.
Found with lyn999. Lovely spot. Thanks for taking the effort to place a cache here!

The kids had no chance at finding - Dad had to step up and find this one!
A couple of muggles in the background having lunch but we were able to retrieve the cache.

Being short did not help on this one but thankfully mizmaz is prepared and pulled out a small step ladder from the geomobile, a nearby muggle on horseback was intrigued by our antics but using a little stealth we soon had that smile

Bikerbuddy retrieved this one, but left it to me to replace. It was a stretch, but I managed it.
Afterwards i wanted to walk over to the picnic area, just because. Apparently that isn't a good enough reason to do something.
Thanks

The hint was good here. I don't know why, but I always feel a little gloomy about the prospects of looking in a shelter. But no problem here today, except that I went back to the car to write some notes, leaving Toriaz to replace the cache. I didn't even think. She is shorter than me. Thanks
Needing a concentrated area to tick off enough smileys to make a dent in the Mythical Creatures challenge, k.e-a26 joined me for a “quick” run around Goulburn, Taralga and Crookwell. Sun shining, wind icy but enough PnGs and by nightfall we had ticked off 50 finds. Quickly spotted but needed TOTT to retrieve, which was a bit trickier with a young girl on a horse trotting back and forth nearby.
First Time in Australia. Today in Crookwell

Today was another fine day for a drive to Crookwell and Taralga with Tassie Trekkers.
Less muggles around today and a good variety of hides again.
Log sheet was full, so we added an extra temp sheet.
Thanks for the cache O319,

After completing the Taralga Trek we found ourselves in Crookwell where we made a few easy finds. TFTC.
This year (2018) I have been trying to get more caches to boost my total finds. This weekend I decided to do all the caches from Goulburn to Taralga to Laggan to Crookwell to Wayo to Goulburn. Sadly I was going to do this trip on the Saturday but Geowife (Blueiris) was feeling unwell and I stayed home to look after her. Today 21/1/2018 she was feeling better so we headed out to complete the previous day’s plans. I wanted to try and get 69 caches in total. I left home at 0630 and headed to Goulburn for a lovely McDonalds breakfast before starting the massive caching day. The first cache of the day was GC74HCZ, a quick find and almost all the finds for the day were quick. I wanted to set a fast pace of approximately 8 minutes per cache including driving time. I am happy to let everyone know that I got a total of 72 caches for the day in 12 hours exactly. Not a bad effort at all if you ask me. The wildlife along the trip was fantastic. The animals that I spotted consisted of Wombats, Kangaroos, Wallabies, various Lizards, Spiders and so many bird species that I could not possibly name then all. The first part of the trip was also done in thick smoke from the Taralga Fire. This fire has burnt about 960 hectares (about 2372 acres). The bushfire was burning about eight Kms to the north-east of Taralga and north of Bannaby Road area. It was burning through bush and grassland in a south-westerly direction. Fire crews from Taralga were fighting the fire with additional crews from Marulan and Bungonia joining in to help. These crews consisted of 77 fire fighters supported by numerous aircraft and heavy machinery. Smoke from the fire could be seen from up to 200kms away. Anyway enough chit chat, thanks for the cache and for making my caching experience today so much more fun. Please keep up the good work by putting out more caches. Sorry for the generic logs but with so many caches found in one day it is impossible to put private logs for them all. Signed the cache DSD, Darkside or Darksidedan depending how big the logbook was and how much room there was in it.
This was a quick find by hubby and the last cache in town following coffee at the nearby Bowls club. Now heading back to Goulburn.

After camping at the caravan park my daughter and I walked down here and made a quick find. This town is really nice, so we hope to return.
A nice ride into Crookwell and there had to be one here, sure was! A nice quick find except needed someone with a bit more reach than me, phew lucky the other half helped out. TFTC

Today we were up early to do the Taralga Trek. It was a cool morning as we left but soon warmed up by midday. This gave us a nice tiki tour of the surrounding countryside as we have not visited this part of NSW. We were surprised to see a few windmill farms along our journey.
Some great locations visited & a variety of caches found.

After a long couple of days Christmas celebrations with family I needed some time to myself. A long drive and a whole lot of caches was just what I needed.
7 hours of driving and 39 caches found later I was at peace!
