Wew a bit of a hike, but amazing views! Spotty reception meant it took a while to find GZ, but cache was soon retrieved. TFTC and the view! Found with Chin47
I came out to the [Long Forest Reserve](https://www.parks.vic.gov.au/places-to-see/parks/long-forest-flora-and-fauna-reserve) today in order to find [RyderSpider's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=e0c80e5a-ca8d-4d40-95b6-029c7666bfc4&wid=af791ec7-929b-4077-8f7a-16024d3da157&ds=2) [Mmm... Donuts! (GCA0TAG)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCA0TAG_mmm-donuts) cache as it was nominated for the [2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/events/victorian-cache-of-the-year-awards/2022-victorian-cache-of-the-year-awards/). However, since I was in the area I decided to see what other caches were nearby when I spotted this one. I always love a bit of an off-track hike and with the promise of a gorgeous view I quickly decided to try and attempt this one. However, based on the terrain rating I thought that this one was going to be a bit easier than it was, I never found the actual track and so I definitely took the hard way in. Once I couldn't locate the path I decided to make a straight B-line to the cache from the [recommended parking coordinates](https://www.geocaching.com/seek/wpt.aspx?WID=10ba63e4-2d6d-49b7-ae1b-a6b7347c0d0b&RefID=a035f10b-62e1-4a97-93e6-abfd2cfc447c&RefDS=1).It was a fair climb down to the creek and back up again, but it made for a fun and challenging walk. Once I got back up the hill and made it to GZ. I decided to take in that promised view.It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon and the promised view did not disappoint. After taking in all the sights I had to remind myself that I had a cache to find!So I finally got to work. Unfortunately, my phone's service was a bit average and so my phone did not want to cooperate or home in on a beacon. However, after I expanded my search I finally spotted something that looked a bit out of place and with a bit more investigating the cache was in hand and the logbook signed. A big thanks goes to [port63](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=2ebcf3d4-0b06-43b8-a6be-ae9de73894d6&wid=a035f10b-62e1-4a97-93e6-abfd2cfc447c&ds=2) for the fun walk today and for the lovely views. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**The cache container was in good shape, but the paint is almost completely peeled off. The contents were all nice and dry and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.
We were heading to the big smoke today and we decided to leave early and take a roundabout route.
The main reason we chose this cache is to wish it a happy eleventh birthday, and to add an anniversary find to our tally for challenge purposes.
The weather today has been a little changeable with beautiful sunshine and cloudy spells. We had anticipated being rained upon several times, but so far so good.
We parked nearby and enjoyed the wonderful view and let the geodogs out to stretch their legs.
We found the cache in excellent condition.
Thank you for this Traditional cache port63.

*Cache find # 13107.*
After finding all my target caches on the other side of the road, I thought that I would try and finish off this side as well.
By now the sun was going down but I was so close to finishing off this section with only this one to go so on I went to GZ, in the dim light I started looking around the area and then I finally spotted something suspicious and sure enough there was a cache underneath, the log was stamped and I hightailed it back to the car.
**Thanks to port63 for placing this cache.**

Thanks for the find.
Perfect easy off track cache with the low density of trees.

Definitely worth the walk for the nearby view. My daughter and I enjoyed our walk.
AusFox;, Donutholes, Neville_devil and I had planned on a attempt at a nearby mystery that had our attention so while in the area it was only prudent to grab a few extra smileys at the same time.
Our last one in this area for the day.
Thank you port63 for bringing us here

The rain has stopped and the sun is shining in all it's glory so it makes sense to collect some smiley faces. This is such a beautiful area that I can't believe I haven't been to before. When I have more time I'll be back for sure Cache is in good condition and now waiting for its next visitor
Found with AusFox, Sims_family and Neville_Devil.

Wow, what a ripper view here! This area has so many cool little pockets and changes in vegetation. Love this bush the most. Boys are keeping up well, now onto the next. FP from me.
Loved this one... A bit of walking off track and a top spot with a view to match.. Thank you
It was very hard to get through the trees and hills but I managed. But a very nice view.
Lovely stroll through bushland working our way through this little series.... great little hides which were found without too much trouble .... some great camo caches as always thanks !!
As we were returning to our car we noticed that this cache was only a short distance away. So we detoured and after a few minutes were were at GZ where accurate coordinates and the size of the cache led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for this cache. We then wandered a short distance to enjoy the view over the valley below.
Having to come up to Bacchus Marsh to pick up a part for my camper trailer, I took the old road out to find a few caches before heading home.
I have been in this area before and it was great to come back here and find a few more new caches.
This is a nice area to go for a walk and it is overcast here at the moment so the 33 degrees has not hit yet.
Picked a likely track and followed it for a bit then headed off to were my phone was pointing and soon came across this great view of the valley.
After a quick stop I soon located the cache and added my name to the log.
Thanks port63 TFTC.

The last find was quite some time ago. However i can confirm all looks to be in order. Thanks for the cache bud!
Thanks for bringing me out here on a lovely sunny day, port63. There are some pretty views of the rugged bush down in the valley. I startled three kangaroos on the way to GZ and startled three on the return journey. I wonder if they were the same kangaroos? I found me way to GZ without too much trouble then had to rely on my barely adequate geosenses to find the cache. I'm not giving too much away when I say that the cache is hidden under a pile of stones at the base of a tree. Almost every tree around here has stones at its base! The cache is in good condition, is dry as a chip, and has a few swag inside. I replaced the plastic zip-lock bag the log was in. SL. TN. L two novelty kids' pencil rubbers and a pencil. Happy caching!
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

What a great area of bush this is. Very peaceful, only the birds could be heard. No cars, no planes, just birds. Love it. Thanks for bringing me here today.
Found by Mary & David at 1542. Back again today to take the longer walk this time. Another pleasant walk, with the crunch of footsteps and the distant sounds of a magpie across the valley being the only sounds. Not sure whether the track was the correct one or not, but had to go bush about 100m from the cache. Spotted the likely hide on approach, and it was indeed the cache. Great views just a short distance away. The bush around here is quite open, so took a more direct route back to the track and exit. Our thanks to port63.

Geocaching continues to lead us to some amazing places. It was a delightful walk in the bush this morning, adding our names to the logs of this pair of Djerriwarrh caches and then seeing two smiley tokens on our geo-map.
Thanks to for placing this cache.

After finding the first cache in this bush I went after this one. After following the track for a bit I decided to go straight for the cache, maybe not the best idea as I went all the way down and then all the way back up again, then around and around before I found the cache. A great view, I think there could be a lot more great caches in this area. TFTC
I headed caching out this way on an ultimately unsuccessful journey, however managed to grab a handful of interesting caches on the way to and back.
A nice little walk down the path here into an area I hadn't visited before and one I will have to come back to when I have more time. A quick find at GZ, thanks for the cache Port63.

Took the geopup for a walk and saw that we hadn't collected the caches along this track. Lovely track and easy to locate the caches. Stopped for a drink and sit while the geopup chased the birds and ran through the bush. Thanks for showing us this lovely spot.
After walking along the Bermagui Track I made my way back to the car and had missed the 2 trad caches nearby. I'm glad I returned for this one. It's a seldom visited area and an enjoyable piece of bushland. Thanks for highlighting it, port63.
TFTC port63. Thanks for bringing us to another even more peaceful spot. Jimmytherat with Noelle04.
Thanks for bringing Jimmytherat & I to this view. Another nice hide. A spot we would not have found without your help. Excellent. Left a yellow lion. Grrr!
Very nice walk. Wondering what species of tree these are. Thanks for bringing us here. Not many trades so added a few
School holidays, restless kids. Whatever shall we do? Quick caching Jaunt up the Bacchus Marsh Road, focus on "Normal" and "Large" size caches (kid-swap friendly). How cool is this?!? As suehut said, "who'd've thought 'let's go to Long Forest today'? Especially if we've never heard of it before?" And yet here we stand, admiring the scenery, and desperately trying to not explode in to a blood fury of rage at the minibike jerks chewing up the grass in the valley. Thanks heaps, port63!
Continued along the track after finding the other cache before heading through the very open dry forest to make a quick find TFTC port63
Found it.
We went in a group.
We split up.
Icecold and manvoice think its Down the bottom.
It's actually up the top.
Icecold has the pen.
What a douche.

After a great first day to the year, and an early morning caching run in Werribee, today, the family decided to go to the markets in Bacchus Marsh today which was a bonus for me that I could grab some more caches in the area. After the markets we headed east a little and explored areas that we hadn't been to before. We were on our way back into Bacchus Marsh and thought it would be a nice walk in this area. We parked at the gate and went in on foot. The area was nice to walk through, so very very dry. This was a quick find after the geo daughter and I went off track. Enjoyed the views too. Stamped and returned as found.
[blue]Thanks for this trad cache, port63 [^]
Log and container in good condition.

Found it! I was out this way for a Walkabouter's walk to the Antimony mine in the Pyretes Ranges. Muggle Heather and I stopped for an extra walk and a couple of caches before heading home. After finding Djerriwarrh Cache we walked on to find the views. We followed the track down and headed across to GZ just before the steep drop. From a distance we spotted the UPS and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC SL Thanks for placing a cache here, it's a beautiful place.
Found with fluffyrabbit113. Plenty of feathery friends in this area. Cache nice and dry

A bit of a walk out to this cache but it was all and truly worth it. What a fantastic view and a nice quick find. I made sure that the cache was all covered when I left as it seemed to stand out a bit.
Thanks port63 for the cache and the view.
