Thanks Tassie Trekkers for hiding this cache. Now that my calendar and streak are completed, I can just cache for the fun of it. Your Traditional cache, Impression Bay, was just what I needed to get me out of the house and exercising. This is my find #2040 at 12:16 on 28/9/2024. It's stunning weather today and we've set off to explore Port Arthur. This one was a quick find with a pretty view. Tftc
Good one Tassie Treckers ! Adds to the Peninsula trail of caches nicely. Hoping to make a meal of it over the next few days. All in good nick here. rhubarbroad.
It was time for a return trip to Tassie to explore the southern part of the state. I paired up with OzHockeyChick for a 5 day caching blitz with some sightseeing in between. Today was Day 3 and it was time to head east towards Port Arthur.
Almost the last stop before dinner. A quick drive by.
Thanks Tassie Trekkers for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Taking some time off to explore more of the apple isle with RoamingHowie. Day Three: Dunalley, Coal Mines, Port Arthur and various caches & AdLabs along the way.
Passed by this one on the way to the coal mines, so returned to find it on the way back to our accommodation.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Tassie Trekkers

Today we found Impression Bay on our travels. We are back in Tassie to attend a charity function this weekend and bonus! We get to go caching as well. A quick find on our way though doing the adlab series
Thanks Tassie Trekkers for being part of our geocaching fun.

Quick find while going around the peninsula. There was also a lovely local who stopped and told me about some cool things to see locally. TFTC! [I'm logging this a few months after finding the cache, but I have photo evidence if the CO wants to get in contact]
Today we visited The Coal Mines Historic Site for the first time, a surprising place that I hadn’t known about until a few months ago. As well as visiting the coal mines, we found twelve caches for the day. We found seven ad lab locations, three traditionals, one virtual and one EarthCache. Sorry for the late log.
Thanks for the cache Tassie Trekkers!

When I arrived here I was quite certain I had previously found this cache but as the log book had been replaced I could not confirm this. In any case it is obvious that if I did find it I neglected to log the find. Found it today so logging the find.

This afternoons geo-adventure was a drive around the Tasman Peninsula in the rain ️ Easy find while visiting one of the waypoints for the Tasman Peninsula Convict Trail adventure lab. TFTC

After 3 years without any substantial travel, using a trip to Tazzie as a dry run in preparation for overseas travel - travel packing, airline protocols, hire car arrangements, accommodation foibles and of course, geocaching withour all our usual gear.
Certainly different to the Peninsula (Bellarine) we are used to, we had a great day on the Tasman, learning more history of the area than we learnt in school, as we found a variety of caches, such as this one.
Thanks to Tassie Trekkers for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Today our group of 11 kiwi cachers picked up our 4 rental cars, and headed for a visit to Port Arthur. Of course we did a little caching along the way, and took the opportunity after the Port Arthur visit to explore the Tasman Peninsula.
After travelling south to the South Tasmania Virtual we completed the clockwise loop through Nubeena from Port Arthur. We enjoyed taking in the local convict history as we made our way back. No problems making the find, thanks.

A quick find today enroute to old mining area. Caching as we go.

Travelling around Tasmania on our family holiday with TT016, PrincessAria1 & LittleG00sE.
We stayed at Taranna for a couple of nights but today we headed off to explore the Port Arthur Historical site. We drove back to Taranna via Nubeena for some supplies & stopped at a couple of caches along the way, this being one of them. We returned to Port Arthur this evening for our Ghost Tour.
It is a very interesting history lesson.
The cache was quickly located, signed & placed back as found.

On a road trip from Hobart to Stanley with my mum over 2 weeks. We visited a number of towns and we were mainly targeting Virtuals and Earthcaches due to the amazing locations they take one to. We did pick up the random traditional, multi, puzzle, wherigo and even a couple letterbox caches whilst travelling.
After a nice sleep in Port Arthur, it was time to finish off the route we started last night before losing sunlight. Cache located, signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for placing and mainting this geocache Tassie Trekkers

Quick easy find but when opening the container, it's a toss-up whether it was me or the resident huntsman that got the bigger surprise. We both survived the experience and went our separate ways. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Caching is guiding our travels as we enjoy a range of hides highlighting interesting places on our Tasmania holiday. We loved the history at each of these stops.
Thank you for your cache.

There was a dead spider in the cache and the log is a bit damaged.

gridge98 decided he wanted to go for an overnight trip to hobart and collect a few caches and also head down to port arthur to collect the old virtual. I was keen for a drive to get some hours up for my Ls and to find a few caches along the way. A great trip away and some cool sights seen.
Apologies for the generic log.

TaurusSix and I found the cache.
We also found a slug eating the log. The cache has a hole enabling creatures to get in.

Suscoe was wandering the roads of the Tasman Peninsular today.
It was a lovely day with some drizzly rain in the morning, some sunshine as well and a solid South Easterly wind.
The roads were quiet down here today which made the wandering quite pleasant.
We did a lap and a bit which showed us the range of the countryside from farm lands to bushland and everything inbetween, we were also amazed at the number of homes located around the delightful bays.
Thanks to the Tassie Trackers for this hide.
