Nice, easy little find. Finding a few caches along the track to break it up. Nice little, hiding place in plain view. Thanks!
#3 on Easter Sunday morning, enjoying being out with grandiesEasy and quick find
The Twignoid are back in the Wairarapa, chasing done new caches that have appeared on our maps since we were last here, nasty, nasty, green blobby things. TwigNZ dropped my off at here and I walked back to down along the cycleway, converting greens into yellows, while he disappeared to do a cache I already had, and then pick me up at the bottom. Was confused about the cache name but then I realised the CO meant the nice shady trees. Straightforward find here, at this rate I will complete this walk in 30 minutes - a nice brisk 20 minute walk and 10 minutes for caching. Little did I know the next cache was going to screw with that!
Today I was out and about in the Wairarapa with my friends Mar1sa and Etherlord Clan, in an effort to do the entire Nifty Swifty geoart series in a day, in order to help me with my qualification for GC30AD8 DGSc Challenge as well as have an attempt to finally do GC5G2PM 100, 10, 7 Challenge, which has been in my crosshairs for more years than I care to mention. The forecast for our day in the Wairarapa had threatened to put a bit of a dampener on our day, but in the end we were rain-free and spent a deal deal of our time in sunshine. We did get a bit of rain at about 3pm, but we had completed the NS by then so took that as a sign that our combined day was over. But as I was driving towards Greytown from Carterton (where we had met up to carpool) the weather suddenly cleared again so I figured this was an opportunity to get a few more caches under my belt, so decided to have a go at this one.I've never really walked along here before, and normally I wouldn't choose to do so on such a hot and muggy afternoon, but the trail is nicely done and I did enjoy my stroll here today. I had to wait for an old couple who were sitting on a nearby bench to leave, but then I had no problems finding the cache in a likely spot, and with no issues to report here I soon had my name on the log before replacing everything as found. Thanks for everything here.
Long weekend away in the Wairarapa. First time walking this nice trail. This one was more of a challenge than expected. Thanks for the cache.
This was to be our first find of the day but as we approached GZ, the dog walking muggle who was just ahead of us sat down on the nearby seat. So we left the cache for our return leg on the way back to the car. No muggle problems now and it was a quick find. TFTC
First joint find on a Saturday adventure with CrystalFairy. Dead in the middle so walked from the end where there was another cache to collect. Quick find. Despite being mid morning there’s still frost on the ground and a definite nip in the air. Thanks J 'N' K!
Day out with BFG in the Wairarapa. First cache of the day and nice 1km walk in the chill morning. Thanks for the cache.
Forgot about this one, have now checked and it is missing, so will replace in the next week, weather permitting.
Found a likely spot and spent a while also looking elsewhere but no luck finding. Looking at the previous logs it’s possible this one is not there.
Found an obvious hiding hole but nothing in there so think this might be missing
Looked long and hard for this, using previous finds as a clue. Continued to the end of the track then returned to this cache with the same sad result.
Having a few days in Greytown … so time for some caching. Called in to sign off your one today, collected the Smiley, as we passed by along this great cycle trail. All good, J 'N' K, at the site, and many thanks.
Just finished a week of work in Masterton and now have a few days free to collect some caches in the region. Decided to bike some of the rail trail which was wonderful. Quick find here. Thanks for the smiley.
I seem to have screwed up my logging for this cache as my field note is totally unrelated to this cache which I clearly remember. Heading away from Greytown there were muggles on the seat and youngster muggles playing right by where the cache turned out to be. One of them seem be startled as I rode by - maybe they were looking for the cache? Anyway I stopped on way back where the coast was clear this time. I followed my GPS around for a bit which led me to the cache - just how geocaching should work. I just noticed now when logging there was no hint but I concur it's hardly necessary. Unfortunately my pen went AWOL a number of caches back so I hope a photolog is acceptable. I'll return to sign one day should my log get deleted. TFTC.
This was the third day of a trip with my Muggle wife down to Greytown. I got the entire day to do some Geocaching, so I headed to this trail to get a few more. TFTC.

Woohoo! Passed it by in the way out because there were muggles but got it on the way back. Thanks
I took my youngest son up to Wellington in the camper van. I dropped him off at his friend's house where he will stay. Meanwhile I get to geocache and be on standby.
I stayed in Martinburough last night and will be staying at Greytown, spending another day in the Wairarapa.
That one took a while for me to locate.

Lots of bleating sheep nearby but otherwise all quiet at GZ on a balmy evening. TFTC
Out caching in and around Greytown this morning as part of a weekend exploring the Wairarapa. Slightly well hidden this one so needed a good feel around, tftc!
Doing this trail in 'bite size' chunks today, but I still managed to add 1.19km to my tally for the DGSc challenge on this beautiful afternoon. Were the 'decoys' intentional? TFTC (eventually).
We had a lovely ANZAC afternoon walk along this trail; thank you for bringing us here. We made a quick find here (loving those camo bags!), taking a train ticket and leaving a rocket.
We were supposed to be at the "Wings Over Wairarapa" airshow, but it was cancelled, so went geocaching instead. We had a nice walk along the "Woodside Trail". TFTC
Staying at the racecourse motorcamp for a few days....cycled into Greytown to explore and ride this track with the bonus of caches along the way. All quiet today with very few muggles so a nice find. Thanks for the cache..
One of 15 caches located today in the Greytown area. On our bikes to ride this trail and pick up the caches along the way. Took a couple of minutes to find this one. Nifty hide-hole. #1393. TFTC.
Greytown and its caches have been on my radar for some time, now, so it was great to stop by on our tiki tour from Wellington to the Hawkes Bay via the Tararuas, and then home through the Wairarapa. The Rimutaka Hill Road wasn't as bad as I'd expected ... it was actually quite a pleasant drive, so I suppose there's no excuse or not heading this way more often! Tftc.
A lovely little stroll along the walkway to find this cache lots of people out holing enjoying a great winters day. TFTC
Found on a MTB ride along the Lions cycle trail to Woodside train station then down the rail trail back to Greytown.
Love being back here. This is basically my backyard as I only live about a k away. Nice find at sunset
EtherGrandad wanted to walk the rail trail together as a family.
Beautifully hidden.
I had to circle the host a few times to locate it.
The camo/door fits so well +FP for this

A quick find on the bike trail. Thanks for placing these caches here; beautiful scenery.
A fabulous day in the Wairapapa with TregearP. Parked the car by the Woodside Park and Ride and walked along the trail into town for a fabulous lunch, and then back out to the car via the Greytown-Woodside rail trail.
A quick find, and all in good order. TFTC.
