Quick find, interesting container here. It had a big bully ant guarding it. We didnt attempt the walk today but are excited when the weather is nicer to give it a go
Sooo tired from walking to the sunmit and back, took me a while to check all the possibilities. Great location. TFTC
A quick find but it took a bit of effort to get the cache open. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
[9028] Holidays on Tasmania, day 10. Today we moved on from Cradle Mountain to Launceston. We took a short walk at O'Neill River, found some more geocaches beside the road and looked at many interesting murals in Sheffield. In Launceston we enjoyed a fine wedding anniversary dinner in the evening as highlight of another sunny day in Australia. This quick geocache belonged to our trip today. TFTC!
Beautiful day out for a circuit of caching starting in Sheffield with coffees to get the hearts started, and a quick GA at "the Hub", then onwards to amongst others, this last one at the top end of a lovely bush trail. A nice convenient find not requiring stomping through the understorey. No wombats at home today. Well done wattle99. TFTC
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Staying nearby, so grabbing a few around this area. Would like to come back and do the Mt Roland walk sometime. A quick find at GZ.Thanks wattle99 for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
We came and collected this in on New Years Day prior to our walk up the big hill on the 2nd. Great walking track. Quick find and sign. TFTC
A beautiful hike with a new caching partner. A big hike ahead but decided to stop for this little series a good taste of caches for him. Thanks
Another nice quick find! Surprised there isn’t any caches further up this track or the mountain
Checked cache today and all that I found was a log sheet. Have replaced the container.
Cache found and retrieved but cacher was defeated by a dastardly container choice, will return with appropriate weaponry (tweezers) in the near future...
Found the cache easily enough but could get yo the log! Finally teased a little piece of paper out on which we signed our name...
No luck for us finding this one.
Hopefully a replacement put there and we can find that when we return to climb the mountain later in the year.

Hello wattle99 thank you for the cache anyway

Returning home from Devonport I made the detour to get some caches in the area. Lots of cars in the car park so I guess a lot of hikers on the mountain. A quick find and sign was made.
Heading to the North West for a few days getting a few caches along the way. We were particularly happy to find this cache. Had been here once before and retrieved other caches in the area, but never got a chance to look for this because there were muggles everywhere including the rangers. Today was very quiet and it was a nice quick find ,there was no log in the cache so we added some paper and signed it. TFTC
Cache has been replaced. Please make sure it is well hidden when you put it back.
Ooo, so many big spiders next to the cache! One even got a dragonfly in its web...
Found the cache on the way back from our hike to Mt.Roland. Thanks!

It was a nice walk in the evening and we found four caches. Thank you for showing.
Took a bit of searching as the GPS Device was jumping all over the place but I eventually find and came away with goods
A nice walk along this trail to collect the few caches, this was the last one at the base of the walking track. A quick find here
Today I decided to head out into the country side, around the back of Sheffield and Devonport. With such a great day with the weather it was nice to collect a few caches.

After walking up through the pleasant track through the bush I wasn't expecting to pop out here. On Saturday I set off from here to walk the van Dyke circuit. I wasn't expecting the climb down the western side of that to be quite so steep. Cache was quickly found and logged. Thanks.
Touring Tasmania with non-caching friends from our caravan club we haven't had many opportunites for hunting. Today we settled in at the Wilderness Village at lunchtime. While Mr was looking at the map and delightedly downloading caches, Mrs was at the office finding a local walk we could all do, which, of course, took priority. How pleased was Mr when the start of the walk took us to 85 mtrs from this cache! Fortunately everyone seemed interested so we showed the rudiiments, including the Hint, and one of the others had the cache in hand at 3.15 pm. Thank you wattle99 for the hide. TNLNSL.
Wow what a view! The clouds were rolling in and the weather today had been less than favorable however we were still wishing we were able to make the climb..... but not today with little legged geo kids.... just enjoyed looking.
Must have been a baby wombat sleeping here?
TFTC and bringing us to the view

Today was a miserable day and well suited to a roadtrip, sightseeing and picking up some caches. Thanks for the cache.
I think until now we never had so much disagreeing information about a hike, the times and distances for the Mt. Roland hike varied between 3,5 and 6 hours, respectively 7km and 10km, well in the end it were 5,25 hours and 17km, with a hight gain of 1100 metres . But it was worth the effort, great views from up there! The cache was a quick find, thank you for placing it!
At the end of the nature trail,
I had lots of problems finding this cache [:o]
Me GPS was having a holiday,
or maybe working on some other coordinate system
Eventually I ignored it and looked for wombat homes !!
There's one
TFTC ... eventually.
As for the stroll to the top !!
Well I've strolled it before
And will stroll it again tomorrow
I promise

Quick find. Log has almost perished. Did not have a replacement with me but managed to leave my mark. Tftc
We've been here before. Many years ago in "BC" days when we were younger & fitter, bagging peaks instead of plastic. Those up top may never be found by us these days but this was indeed most gettable. Top of container has parted company but things are somehow hanging together. TFTC.
Quick find. Found on a rainy morning after staying at the nearby park. Unfortunately too wet to walk up Mt Roland. Tftc!
Travelling around Tasmania in an RV with my family for a 2 week holiday.

Found this one.. but was unaware that wombats would live here but looked and found anyway tftf
Wish I was doing the Mt Roland walk, but will have to settle for this geocache instead. Watch out for the big black ants, otherwise TFTC
Found this cache on our way back down from the summit of Mt Roland.
There were a few muggles in the car park but they seemed not to notice me until I dropped the cache container after a nice big spider crawled out of it!!!
Replaced the cache as best I could however the lid has broken off and won't stay on very well.
