It's the time for Mr Hunters' to take his big annual leave chunk for the year, 1.5 years into his first full time social work role in his home city of Canberra. This year, I decided to jump on my parents' holiday to Perth (next week) but beforehand, I wanted a solo geocaching splurge. I spotted the LGA series not too far from Perth, so I soon booked accommodation for 5 nights in Boddington with the intention to finish the entire series within that time. I was really looking forward to some quiet time for solo geocaching and to have simple pub meals in a quiet country town, I've been extremely busy over the past few months and given my job involves a lot of emotional energy, I wanted to visit a secluded location as far away from home as you can get, absolutely brilliant.I leave Boddington tomorrow so today, I took a lovely country drive to the mines, Quindanning, Williams and Wandering to collect some of the caches near the LGA series that I skipped during my big run on the series, plus some extra ones that I wanted (i.e. virtual and AL). Drove right up to the cache and made a quick find. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Down for my annual camp out weekend @ Wandering Music Festival. Very happy to grab some caches along the way. Many thanks blingg for adding to my adventures.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 43 - York to Wandering via Beverly and some vary back roads. It was straight back to Beverly, to then get on a new road heading South West. This gave me a good go at few Wandoo caches before trying some road option google wanted, but tomtom was not so keen on. This seemed to mean dirt. Despite the rain, both sections were firm, and I even managed one cache out in the who knows where before arriving in Wandering. Once set up I wandered around town, if you can call a council town with no shops a town, for the Labs and a couple of other caches. After a quirt afternoon doing logs, it was off to the tavern for dinner. At least there was a good crowd there.Once in Wandering I visited both cemeteries before heading to the caravan park to get set up. No complicated maths for this one, so I just walked up to and found it after looking in the wrong spot first. Thanks for the cache blingg47554.17 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & April 2024 Spirit Animal A#551**Albida**
NEF on an evening walk. Some very interesting headstones in this cemetery.TFTC blingg
Another one that required a second visit due to a muggle. Not an issue really given we are having a cruisey day hanging around wandering. Tftc
Found on may way from Perth to Albany, on a very circuitous route with two nights on the road. Thanks for the cache blingg!
Day 6 of our Narrogin WAGB23 long weekend. Up for some more fun with Geotrakka. The weather has turned, it’s raining and a bit chilly, but we have raincoats so I’m sure we can find a few today.

Visiting from the east and heading to the WAGB event and caching along the way and at the event and areas around Narrogin then on to Kulin and back to Perth via a quick visit to Albany. Thanks to all the various COs for placing caches (or EC and virtuals) for us to locate, learn and explore. Signing as Team East+2.
Today Taurus Six and I are heading to Narrogin , via a round about route to join the WAGB 2023 geocaching weekend. We needed to work first thing this morning, so once all necessary matters were dealt with we finally got away late morning. It was a nice drive through Collie on to Williams on this sunny and chilly day. Our aim on day one was to collect some of the Albany highway caches between Williams and Crossman before heading to Wandering and then circling our way back to Narrogin.

Nice quick find on my weekly drive back to Narrogin. I've always driven through Wandering, and other than the occasional toilet break I never really stop! Was beautiful to stop and listen to all the sheep talking tftc.
Also dropped a TB that I picked up in Victoria. Hoping someone else can continue it on its journey.

Easy find. Lovely walk from Heritage Trail along the firebreak past the cemetery.
After staying with friends in Nanson for a few weeks the time had come to start heading home again but not without stopping and grabbing a few caches along the way.
As the weather was looking pretty good we decided to stay in the Perth area concentrating on Adventure Labs. earth caches and virtual's to avoid the abundance of school holiday muggles.
We were here doing a lab wpt and of course weren't going to leave this one behind.
We both enjoy wandering around these old cemeteries learning some of the history of the local area.
The cache was located in the first place we looked and our name has been added to the log.
Many thanks blingg for the cache.

Myself and Cirrus_WA decide to head out to kulin for two days of caching. We started with collecting some in Wandering, Cuballing and Wickepin. Next we got some caches we missed from when we were out here for IGD, we picked up a few caches and managed to finish the Tin Horse Hwy.
Tomorrow we are heading out early while it’s nice and cool for the IGD series, have breakfast and then plan the trip home seeing what caches and LGA’s are on the way.
This is my 1041 find.
Thank you blingg for placing and maintaining this cache.
Geology rocks but Geography is where it’s at!

I’ve set myself the goal of getting to 1000 finds for the calendar year and with the kids still in school for a day I hatched a plan with SirFancy to head out to Kulin and clean up all the caches released over the IGD weekend a few months back.
We grabbed a few caches along the way in Wandering, Cuballing and Wickepin before arriving in Kulin for lunch.
After a short break we grabbed all the THH#2 caches and finished up ducking down to Dudinin.
Day one finishing up with 64 finds and 0 DNF’s.

Thanks blingg for placing FRP Wandering for me and others to find.
I added my name to the log at 10:13 on 16/12/21.

Saturday 3 Nov
Day 1 of the Holland Track Adventure
This trip had been on my 'Wish List' for some years
The problem was Logistics
I had to get the timing right...…….So many Variables!
Weather
The best time of year is after winter to avoid the very worst of the cold and wet, and before the weather gets too hot in summer
We were very fortunate to get nice warm sunny days and mild nights with no rain, the track was mostly dry and the deep mud puddles could easily be skirted around on dry tracks
Company
I did not want to tackle the track on my own as my vehicle is not fully set up for hard core 4 wheel driving, no winch or high lift kit which would be advisable, especially after rain
Luckily I found a group of other geocachers who were planning to tackle the track and I quickly agreed to join in the group
Today was the day
After spending many hours the previous afternoon removing all my work tools and other stuff out of my vehicle and packing in all my camp gear, I was ready to go early in the morning
Stopping to fill up with fuel on my way out of town then continuing on to pick up my passenger Mistraluna
While we had discussed a rough plan of finding caches on the way to Hyden I was not prepared for the coming adventure that this day would prove to become
Luckily we had all day today and tomorrow to get to Hyden where we would meet up with the other members of our party
On the way we stopped to top up with fuel and headed for our first cache of the day
From the fuel station we drove east to Pinjarra then on Pinjarra - Williams road, through Dwellingup, continuing east until we reached the power line road just past East Boundary rd. We made a left turn here and started heading north
The road was quite good and I did not need to use 4 wheel drive
I was thrilled to see a great number and variety of wild flowers along the roadside which I had not seen before
Cache #9 for the day
A quick park and grab here, Mistraluna did the logging duties while I had a bit of a look at the gravestones
Too bad you didn't make this a multi Blingg, Ha Ha
Thanks for placing a cache to break up the journey for cachers and to show us another interesting spot we would never find if not for a cache being here

Life has been a bit of a whirlwind lately, with two trips to Borneo in the past few months, followed straight after by the WA Goes BIG 2018 event down in Dunsborough without even unpacking my bags properly. It was while helping out at the BIG event that I was lucky enough to hear about an upcoming geocaching adventure tackling the Holland Track, an experience I thought I would never be able to be part of, being a single woman without a real 4wd of my own. But the planets aligned for me that weekend and the offer was extended by SeabreezeOZ that I was more than welcome to come along. And of course I just had to say yes, yes, yes!!
So the wheels were set into motion, and today was the first day of our grand adventure. We thought (well I thought) that tackling a few along the Bibb track would be a bit of practice for some off-roading before tackling the Holland Track. That diversion turned out to be quite an adventure on its own, with lots of fallen trees and locked gates forcing us to turn back and try alternative routes. My snail trail for that area out their is quite hilarious but that is a whole other story. Let's just say it was a huge relief when we did finally make it back out to the bitumen. From that point on, we were happy to stick pretty close to the main road, picking up caches here and there as we headed towards our intended campsite out in the Dryandra Forest. This cache was along the way, so of course we had to stop and see if we could find it. No problems finding this one whilst my companion turned the car around. Cache found, log signed, then cache replaced as found before moving onto the next one.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for the rest of us to come and find blingg.
