Tftc - came at night but no glow, no luck.

Found it in December 2019 but forgot to bring a pen, finally i came back to Rock today with a pen but its NOT here anymore

Phone was going all over the place. It is not night time so maybe that’s why we can not find it

Day two of my road trip from the Gold Coast to Townsville. An early start today for our team which consisted of RoddyC, hatzofff, grannysmith1947 and youngoldfella and after completing the Moo geoart we decided to tackle some local caches. This is one of three caches we collected along the river walk, nice quick find here.

Found November 28, 2020

Out and about with 4 geocaching friends going from Childers to Mackay. I will leave them at Mackay on the 5th December. They will go North and I will go South only to come back up to Rockhampton in 7 days time to meet up with them again. This was a little climb from the level I was on to reach the cache. Should have come down instead of up. Many Thanks TFTC.

Day 2 of our northern adventures with RoddyC, Snickersallan, GrannySmith 1947 & YOF out doing some caches in Mornish and then back to Rockhampton.

With most puzzles solved we ventured out early for our start. We were back in Rocky for lunch.

It was six years ago on my last visit to Rockhampton that I had to leave this as a sad blue face, very happy to convert it to a smiley today after a lovely breakfast nearby.

We spent what felt like an hour but couldn't have been, under the birds coming in to nest for the night. Feeling our luck of not getting splattered from above could end at any moment, we were keen to find the cache fast. At long last it occurred to try searching in another spot. Found the cache in seconds. TFTC Alleycatz4700.

Greetings from Brisbane, My husband and I are up here for the weekend and what a great weekend it has been. Today I dropped my husband at the races and had a walk around town. At gz I used all my geo senses to find this cache and I was spot on. Such a beautiful place. thanks for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy

Co ords were approx 6 mts off. It is hiding in the obvious nearby spot.

Staying very close by for some training and decided to see if I could grab this one before it started. Some riverbank regeneration work going on which made a thorough search difficult without being obvious. Definitely saw the ants mentioned in other posts but no cache for me today but a pleasant stroll along the river.

Found it full of ants! So didn't write in the log.

First time geocaching, was a pretty cool little find for the first one

Quick little find, take in the scenery while you are in the area plenty of benches and chairs around

As others have said co-ords are a bit off but just go where you think it is

Don't rely on geo co-ords here. Use your geocaching knowledge for this one and beware of muggles everywhere.

On approach to GZ I thought, that would be a good place for a cache. If I only trusted those instincts. Instead I followed the gps and went around I circles for a bit before finding it in that first place. Tftc

Our only Rockhampton cache on our Australia tour - we only had one night, and this one was less than 100m from our hotel, so it really was a must. Phone GPS wanted to send me a few metres off course, but intuition proved us right. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Germany!

My first Rockhampton cache. We were here 30 years ago after the Brisbane Expo in 1988. This place has grown. Good spot for a cache.

Cars, fast food, cattle, bad air... welcome to Rockhampton. Nevertheless, the evening walk in the centre was quite nice, except for the caches. In the darkness it was hard to find one. Finally I could sign this logbook although there was no glowing at all, just intuition.

Caching in and around the area, we picked up a few caches and this was one of them.

Cache and contents were in good condition.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Last time we came here the river was flooded and we couldn’t get to the cache, so this time it was great to find it. TFTC

First find of the day during an extremely brief trip to Rockhampton. A really quick grab, thanks for putting one here along this beautiful river.

When we arrived here we were tempted not to start the search. There simply were too many possible hiding places and the coords were moving quite a bit. But it was Sunday afternoon and nobody around. So we started thinking about the most likely places, and after the second try we got the box.

Het was even zoeken. Maar toen zag ik iets en inderdaad dat was de cache

We walked passed this cache last night but the was some people standing beside their car and there was no tactful way to search thoroughly. This morning after an enjoyable cafe latte at the Coffee Club, I came back for another look. I spied the cache but again there was no way to grab it.
After dinner tonight we wandered back and easily grabbed it. We took the opportunity to introduce our dinner companions to geocaching. They are definitely interested - another convert hopefully.

Our GPS was a little off, but we found it without Muggles noticing, by looking in places that made sense and wouldn't flood. Only a little piece of gold foil inside, so we left a glow-in-the-dark frog and a pom pom. Thanks for the find!
