Logs
This road trip was hatched about a year ago by Tycoon Otto and myself. The original plan was to go back down to the US and hit some power trails, but it morphed into a 13 day, 17,500km geo-odyssey. During this road trip I had several highlights:
1) Got my 7,000th cache and well onto my way to 8,000.
2) Signed 1,026 caches in a single day (HMD power trail California).
3) Visited 18 states in one single 24 hour period.
4) Got 12 different cache types in a single day.
5) Visited "Mingo" the oldest active cache in the world.
6) Signed 1,548 caches during this 13 day period.
7) Cached in 48 states.
More importantly, there were several memories and sites I will never forget. I thoroughly enjoyed the town of St. Charles, Missouri and Cadillac ranch on Route 66.
I will post a picture of our track log in GCZ02V (Seeing Seagulls) and GCMQ1X (Weigh up), the first and last caches in this road trip.
As always caching with Tycoon Otto was a blast. Thanks again for a great caching experience.
To all the cache owners that made this possible, thanks for the cache and happy caching!!!

US14 ET Highway Trip with Sol de Lune and Mtrax. Day 3. This was our first day caching, and it was full on desert caching with the Planes Trans and Automobiles series on the menu. We tried to get to as many Letter box caches as we could on this trip. Thanks.

Staying in Barstow for a few days so used it as a base to cache the area, Barstow day 2
oh boy it was a cool windy day to start our caching run today a busy road , parked on the road and took the short walk to find the cache, did require a bit of a search but soon found it.
Logged as "SAM" which is a team of three Sol De Lune, Albida33 and Mtrax. Visiting the US as a team for the 2nd time, our mission to complete the ET series but before and after do some more exploring and geocaching along the way. Our tour starts around Barstow and a few days in Las Vegas before caching over to 29 Palms before hitting the ET Highway straying at Rachel and Tonapah.
Our second stage of our trip saw us doing a loop around Wyoming, Nebraska, Sth & Nth Dakota and Montana before finishing back in Los Angles, our finds for the trip totalled well over 4,000 geocaches.

Swapped a hall pass for new curtains with WOR so spent the day picking off San Bernardino Thomas Guide Pages for the challenge.
Had an awesome run on a mid 70's high desert Spring afternoon.

Out on a road trip doing a little exploring with Del2u and the oldones. Thanks for the smiley!
Found this cache on the way back from the river. We enjoy finding these well placed caches by Absolue Mellow. Thanks for another smiley. Left a "Carrot Pen" TN. SL
Even though on the wrong side of the highway, traffic was light enough to allow me to run and grab this. TFTC
I picked the wrong one of the 2 likely spots. ZG made the find and I retrieved the cache. At least the mud wasn't gumbo here.
Stopped by to check on this today. Had some extra swag so I fattened it up a bit. Thank you to all who have found it.
Out with our KUMI2014 team! for some of the *S M series and a few others. Thanks for the challenging caches!
What a great adventure I had with team KUMI2014. We got many caches and had so much fun together. We managed FTF’s on the Eagle (I even managed to lose my car keys in the desert) and did lots of other power trails. Finished up the ET road and ended up in Cal. for the RT66 shield and some of the SM caches which I hope to complete someday. Never did so much driving and walking thru the desert. Bring plenty of water for the Eagle and 66 shield, lots of gas for all the power trails. Thanks to the Co’s for putting all these caches for us to enjoy. I hated to leave and go home.
Thanks to Debrajean and bucknuts for all the planning and execution of this great trip and everyone else I met. I will never forget this memorable adventure.
