Well what a day, we had prepared for rain and cooler conditions but apart from a few spots the day was pretty good all round with sunshine most of the time and a cool breeze to remind us that the southerly can be a cooling influence.
We covered a wonderful range of countryside with hills, farmlands, swampy areas and townships.
All up this was a pretty good day for caching.
Thanks to Sirillion for this hide, We signed one of the piece of paper in the cache as the log seems to have gone missing. The CO will need to pop a new logbook in here soon.

Wow, thanks for the cache and the knowledge, very interesting! Seems to be a lot of similar structures spread throughout the area. Thanks for bringing me here never realised that this park existed out the back of Wonthaggi. No log exists in the cache and didn't have any spare so was unable to sign.
We headed over to the west of Wonthaggi today to go for a walk amongst the bushland and attempt some caches that had gone unfound by us for some time.
We parked across the road and walked over to our first cache of the day, waiting for just one muggle to walk past before beginning our search.
A likely hiding spot was discovered soon enough and the container was found sitting largely in the open next to it.
There's currently no logbook in the cache, but a few old and weathered supermarket trading cards are present and should do the job at least for the time being, though it would definitely benefit from some TLC.
All was replaced with a bit of extra cover to ensure it stays safe and away from the prying eyes of passersby.
Thanks to Sirillion for placing this cache here!

Congrats on first hide. Thanks. Nice and easy. A lovely place to walk and explore. Lots of gorgeous bird sounds. Cache very soggy. Bag broken and prob needs to be replaced.
Any muggle on the planet walking past would have found this, I put it back in the same spot but made sure it was well covered and hidden from prying eyes. Tftc
Camped at Dumbalk after returning from Tasmania. Out for a few caches today. Eighteenth for the day, quick find, cache and contents all good, good coordinates. Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC

A planned trip down this way with mazza-g to do Handy in the Night, and cache the rail trail. Arriving mid morning we headed out to grab a few in the immediate area. Spotted this cache on approach as it was very exposed. Cache is now hidden again from view.

My husband had gone to Winton for some motor racing and I organised a night in Wonthaggi with Jascat to find some caches. We found this one easily enough, quite exposed. We covered it after we signed the log. TFTC

Down Wonthaggi for just a few days, love when you can walk from the caravan park to some caches. Nice easy find to finish the day.

#820 - Day three of my trip down the coast for some caching fun! Today I decided to attempt some hides from a variety of cachers and not Gonefishen07 exclusively.
After finishing my first walk of the day and collecting 17 finds, it was time to go on my second walk. After parking at the huge wind turbines at the end of Campbell street, I set off and was able to find 21 of the 26 caches that I set off to find.
Thank you to the CO's for the hides, I had a very fun walk with what was once again a wide variety of caches and hides as the sun went down. Tftc

TFTC. Decided to attempt caches in the Wetlands around Wonthaggi today. Lots of walking on a cloudy day. Nice simple find on a day out caching.
Caching with With GJMMelb today, I had parked my car and jumped in with them. Our aim was to tackle some higher D/T rating caches
This was a nice easy find as we ended our day of cache hunting
Thanks Sirillion For placing these caches for us to find :)

We had a really busy day today with GMelb having an early morning trip to Tullamarine airport to drop off 2 nieces, followed by playing violin at a friend's Church. A quick lunch and we headed down to meet ms-enchantress for some caching followed by having tea with a friend who is down here looking after he Aunty and then driving to Warragul to pick up our son and 2 mates from State Youth Games!! Phew!
The sun was starting to get lower in the sky as we headed towards this cache. GMelb made a quick find and we were on our way

Drove to Wonthaggi, to pick up a few more caches on the local walk trails.
Parked close by, and took a short walk in this nice area.
Cache was found after a short search, in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Sirillion, for us and others to find.

Another area that we had not walked in and we were very glad to be sent on this lovely bush walk. Nice easy cache and another find for Bek (8) who was happy to pull it out and show us.
[font=Comic Sans MS][Green]I'm heading eastwards on a day caching in and around Wonthaggi with Square_Pegs after leaving Melbourne early this morning before sunrise. Later on, I got the opportunity to find this cache in good condition and with spot on co-ordinates. I like the history lesson given in the cache description and this is a good first hide - well done.
It's been too long since my last visit. Thanks Sirillion for making this an enjoyable day exploring

We pulled up in the car park over the road as we were about to enjoy a walk exploring the old coal mine area.
This was a nice quick find and with the log signed, we popped it safely back into its hiding spot.
Thanks to Sirillion for the cache.

We were on a weekend visiting our grandson for his 3rd birthday and then followed by a geo event in Wonthaggi; Following the event, we headed off to grab a few of the multitude of Wonthaggi caches and this was one. The sun peeped out as we did this one and a welcome sight. Nicely hidden
