I should have known something was wrong when I found a ziplock bag at the head of the distinctive track to GZ...... but the cache appears to have been plundered several months ago. The evidence was strewn all over GZ. I found the lid propped against a rock for all to see, empty lolly bags both above and below the rock shelf (some partially buried and most sun faded), the pen on a pile of bark and a large ziplock bag containing wet blank pieces of torn out log book further up the track towards the fire trail.
Sorry EcoTeam but to me this appears to be the end of the Sugar Hit again! I am however confused by the 2 preceding logs which suggest it is plundered (finding the lid as I did), then 2 days later a good cache?
I hope that I am totally wrong and it is still there safe and well.
As a good friend of the Earth I removed all trash, including the lid (its not much good without the bottom which I never did find).

Thanks.
Yes, I was confused by the "good cache" log.
Will decide what to do with this one soon.

Easy to find, just follow the well defined track right to it.
Did a swap.
This may need to be moved to stop and even more defined track being worn in.

If only I'd not forgotten the clue for this cache, I could have saved myself 10mins of scrambling over rocks and gone straight to the booty!
I had fun anyway, and the GPSr ended up pointing me straight to it once it had a chance to average properly.
Just beaten to this one by SWAG Tim - but he had left the party a little earlier than me anyway. Took 2 giant freddos and left a bag of sherbies. Great idea Ecoteam and the cache still in great condition!

Nice spot. And a very tempting cache. Too bad I had nothing to swap. Thanks guys.
Found. Got to see more of this bushland than was absolutely necessary thanx to dodgy readings on the gps
Didnt take anything but was eyeing the bananas
ps. a kid playing tennis yelled out to me from across the valley. I dont think that the cache will be compromised though, as it is now well hidden by more ground litter and he only looked for a couple of seconds.
(Dont know what he thought I was doing!)

Oh what a disappointment. The lolly jar has been raided. We found an empty box with the lid off lying open in full view, and the log book pages strewn over the ground. An empty liquorice packet lying nearby. We collected all pages of the log book we could find and placed them back into the box. We have re-hidden the box, but we are not sure if it is back where it came from. EcoTeam need to make a repair/replenish visit.
Nice and easy. Didn't have to get too dirty, which was much to our liking, and no vegetation got squashed. This was ZijerJell's first actual find - she was quite stoked.
Not many goodies left in the cache - it may need replenishing. We really wanted the licorice but didn't bring any suitable swaps. We may have to come back again sometime.

We finally finished One in a Hundred about 1630 and felt like we deserved dessert! So, off for a Sugar Hit!
It was dark by the time we got there (stopping off for some sweets along the way) and started raining just as we left the trail.
A bit of a slip and splash around near the creek and Papa Bear found himself in the right place, pointing his torch in the right direction. (So _that's_ how she does it!)
The contents were a bit low, so we left the bears that were there and left some more unBearable lollies there too.
A nice spot, even by torchlight, and a pleasant end to the day.

someone has been a piggy. there is hardly any lollies left (from the photo there seemed to have been quite a lot at first)... maybe some kids got to it.. ?

Two of us decided to do this cache during our lunch break from work. Took a while to find. The GPS was all over the place. Took nothing, left nothing. Contents looking as delicious as ever. Thanks for the map inside the cache - It helped imensely
1615 hrs on Sunday 30th March 2003. Good hide, took me a while to find, actually had given up and was on way back to main track when I found it. Took nuffin, left nuffin other than note in log.
Found this one while in the area... It started to rain 2 minutes after I left the car, so I was glad it wasn't too far away...
A nice spot - thanks EcoTeam...

Found the lollies stash!! This was the first cache that my green Geocaching friend discovered. He was well happy (especially since he went to bed at 7am and we got him up to go Geocaching at 930am!!).
We dropped in a Fruit Tingles and Striker took the coffee lollies!
Probably the easiest find so far. Co-ordinates took me straight to GZ. Only hassle was the Wombat-Eating Leaf Tailed Lizard that appears to have taken up residence on the cache. BEWARE - HE BITES!!!!!
Took fantales and left gummi bears.
Thanks EcoTeam. My dentist will love you.

Found by Mary & David at 1120. A leisurely start to the day after a few odd jobs at David's Mum's place. An amazing walk through a landscape of sandstone rocks. Sounds of children splashing in a backyard pool across the gully. Found after only a short search. Swapped a metre of licorice for some fruit rings. Some signs of animals nibbling the cache lid. Thanks to EcoTeam.
Another first timer...this one was reasonably easy to find. Spent a little while driving up and down the street trying to get access to the area where the cache was located but well, I'll organise a better map for myself for next time
Drove to the cache. Should I have done that?
Rolled down the hill and found the cache nice and snug.
No Swaps.
Thanks Eco Team.

First of the new year eve caches. Nice leafy spot found it without too much problems.
Arfur and kids and G1 found this on a pleasant afternoon stroll. It turns out that we have ridden past this cache dozens of times, without even knowing it was placed! Very pretty spot, but it could do with some rain. Cache intact. Took nothing and left nothing, just enjoyed the activity of caching.

Rex and Nick found this cache.
Looked everywhere then realised that it was right under our noses the whole time.
Had nothing appropriate to swap so didn't.
Great cache Eco-Team.

WAHOOO!!!!
Found my first GeoCache!!!
Woke up DETERMINED I would find it...carbo loaded..did some press-ups and stretching...into the battle wagon (AKA Holden) and into 'black ops mode'..I meant business this time. Straight to the LZ and using all the clues, scuffed foot-prints and Kiwi cunning I could muster I strode purposefuly to the area I had spent over 30 minutes pacing back and forth yesterday and guess what?
Found it in about 2 minutes!!!! Couldnt beleive the 'rush' I got when I got down on all fours and saw IT!!
Wrote a rather excited comment in log book, took out the packet of Caramels (my second fav) and left a packet of Fantails (my absolute fav)..considered going back 10mins later to 're-find' so I could swap the caramels for the fantails again...managed to keep in control tough.
Thanks guys and guyesses..can't wait to 'find' my next one )))))

Sunday afternoon, Blue skies what to do? Look for a cache of course, and what a great cache. A nice walk through an unspoiled bush pocket with the sound of birds all around.
Found the cache easily and discovered Eucalyptus and Honey drops. Just what my throat needs. Swapped said drops for some sugar coated Fruit Rings.
Thanks EcoTeam.
Riblit.

Been meaning to do this one for a while, finally made it on the way to do my washing. Great stash. Easily found. Took some Indonesian coconut lolls (strange chewy/jelly texture!) and left some jersey caramels. Thanks Ecoteam.

Regular cache checkup.
Everything is OK, cache is nice and cosy and dry, lots of nice yummy contents still left, and no damage to the lovely environment.
Our third and last cache for the day. It took us a little while to find but on our last walk through we found it. What a nice treat we had. We sat and ate our sour lollies above the cache location. We had to leave some of our Oompas (hand made by us of course)!!
Thanks EcoTeam. This was a YUMMY one.
The Oompas.

First cache for a very successful day. drove around many streets before finding an appropriate entrance to the area, once there it didnt take long to find it, another nice area that I hadn't been to before.
Left Sour jellies took Jelly Babies

Arrived close to this cache , after taking the wrong road towards another cache, oh well might aswell drop in and bag another cache.
Wonderfull. found this fairly easily.
then chased off the spiders who were guarding it.
swapped a bag of diabeties research charity jelly babies, for a somewhat aging bag of Mush-balloons
(marshmallows).
Unfortunaltely there is a large foot scrape of something that lookslike chocolate, but isnt, right over the cache, so it was easily found, but I dont think the scrape was made by a geocacher, and neither will it outlast a couple of showers of rain. I hope..

We were passing by and thought we'd drop in to see how Sugar Hit was going.
As reported it's in great shape and still contains a nice assortment of lollies, all but one of the original contents pictured (10 bags) are gone though.
Some of Bushrat's yummy looking alternative lollies are still in there for the next lucky finder.
Good to see no signs of geocachers having visited the lovely little urban environment - apart from the logbook entries.
This was our first treasure hunt (how we sold it to the kids). Our 7 year old, Stephanie, found the cache, and both kids took a chuppa chup each. Put back some eucalyptus and honey.
Cache was in good condition, stuffed full of lollies.
We live in the same suburb and didn't know about this bit if bushland ... good one eco team!

9:40am These little pockets of bushland in suburbia can often turn into something akin to an open sewer, but not this one. What a great place. Found the cache after not too much searching. Left some Barley Sugars and Chaos Cash & took some Melon flavoured sweets. Good one EcoTeam.
Very nice little stream winding through the suburban bushland, with plenty of new ferns and undergrowth. We trodded carefully to the coords, and quickly found the cache.
Our glucuose levels sky-rocketted as we opened the tasty stash, so we took the M&M's and left a giant Chupa-Chup and a cannonball pop.
Gratitude to EcoTeam

Found the location easily enough, but the cache itself was difficult to find. I was actually standing on the rock and telling my kids We should be standing on it, It has to be around here somewhere My son was the one who found it.
No pic's because we forget to take the camera.
Kids raided the cache by taking the Pizza's, M&M's and the raspberries. Replaced it with 3 mini packets of Peanut M&M's and a packet of skittles.
Our Second Cache - Yay!!! Looking forward to more.

Great location and the place has certainly changed since we where last in the area. The morning rain highlighted the colours of the cache surrounds. Swapped a bag of M&Ms for some Jelly Babies.
Excellent one, Eco Team.

The rules in the logbook say no chocolate. Unfortunately, we only carry chocolate, so we weren't able to swap anything. (We always follow the rules.)
We found this cache on a very rainy day. The creek was a torrent and we heard a tree fall to it's death further up the valley. Found the sweet cache sheltered and dry but we still had to be quick with our visit because of the drenching rain. Swapped a packet of Snakes Alive for a tube of M&Ms and a pizza. No leeches around but plenty of lizards guarding the cache. Good stashing Eco Team. No photos for the same wet reasons...Sorry.
Did this one as a two part cache. Two days that is. One part on Sunday: found about 8pm - getting dark. Another 10 minutes and I wouldn't have found it, 'cos the mozzies were driving me nuts. My ravenous kids took 2 bags and left none.
Second part on Monday: knowing EcoDave quite well, I know he's a plain vanilla man. Well for those who don't feel like 'ordinary' sweets I left four bags of interesting flavours: let's see now coffee, melon, coconut and white rabbit. At least that's what it says on the packets. The box was a little overfull so I ran off with spearmint leaves. Yum.
Thanks EcoTeam from the kids.
