Logs
Find #751Found while walking Te Araroa - new Zealands long pathway from Cape Reinga to Bluff. Thank you to all the cache owners who place and maintain these caches, and thank you to all the people who help me and others on the way. Some logs signed as LBB to save space.A quick find here, interesting container which seems to work well as log was very dry. Nice to be out of the forest after so much rain and mud in the last 24hours
Found this one at the beginning of a day climbing up Mt. Pirongia and caching all the way! It was a great start to an amazing day. A favourite point from me for a very authentic looking cache, TFTC
Day 33 of my TA adventure.
Left the hut as the clouds were clearing ,slogged my way through 3hrs of mud to finally get to the road ..nice quick find ...that's a lot of bag for such a small cache tftc

Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, now WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
Quickly park and grabed. Although raining and forecasted we are going to try do some of the hihikiwi track today. Thanks for the cache.
What awesome views from up here. Such a lovely drive to find this cache and I was fortunate to be blessed with a cool sunny winters day and the view down to Kawhia Harbour was fantastic.
Photo's definately do not do this justice.

Finally getting around to do the Hihikiwi track, this was our first stop.
Great views and nicely hidden cache.

Over cast today do i didnt head up the mountain. Instead I have opted to collect some of these fringe caches.
Neat container, i looked right passed it several times before recognising it for what it was.

We stopped here for a late lunch on our way back from Waitomo via Te Anga, Oparau and Pirongia West Rd. It's a shame the pine trees are starting to block the view.
On a night mission with 11hpg11, Greenblat and KiwiLean up on Pirongia’s muddy tracks. Before parking the car we stopped for a quick P&G. Just about sunset but no view today due to bad weather. TFTC
Found on the way to the Hihikiwi track for a night walk up to the hut. Found with Greenblat (and Greenblat jnr), alpenmilch80 and Kiwileon. We signed the logs as Team Bach.
No Kawhia views today, the foggy mist was rolling in thick and fast and the sun was setting just as fast.
A quick find here but took a little while to get the log out of the container. Tried keys and sticks as a sort of impromptu tweezer but finally managed to flick it out.
Thanks for the cache

Found on our way to the Hihikiwi track for a night tramp.
Still daylight during the find but the views were a bit cloudy.

Came down to do a recce for a tramping club trip next month so grabbed caches along the way. Great views from here (and a decent szied parking area within walking distance of Hihikiwi Track. TFTC
1167 1st stop for the day and I thought it was going to be a 1st DNF but as I was about to walk away when I parted some long grass and spotted what I wanted.
A nice easy walk to the GZ after climbing to the summit. Though it was kinda difficult to get the legs to work as they were trying to seize up.
Much better weather today than when we were last here on 25th August and too wet and cold to think about stopping. Neat little cache first time we had seen one of these. TFTC
Super hazy day but still a beautiful view! Freshly regravelled road so be very careful. We almost spun out.
Cute hide, nice easy one after our trek up the cone on Pirongia. A little misty but still a nice view.
This has been one of my favourite viewing spots for over decade now, it's always so beautiful and peaceful here And now with the added bonus of a cache! (which makes up for the gradual loss of the view since those pine trees were planted!) TFTC!
A lovely spot especially on a nil wind blue day like today. Now off to climb the mountain.
Many thanks

Low cloud when I drove past this morning on the way to the Hihikiwi track but lovely views on the return trip. Glad it was a park'n'grab coz legs wouldn't have carried me much further. Cache all good, TFTC.
Wasn't much to look out on this morning as I was there well before sunrise. Wanted to get an early start heading up to The Cone. On the way back however there was a beautiful view and if i wasn't so tired i defiantly would have stopped. Cache was dry and well hidden.
Decided to once again to tackle this mountain so had time and went for this one the way to the Hihikiwi Track. As was still dark when I got there, view was non-existant, however it made up for it by being a great view on my way back down, TFTC
Interesting to see the area we have just driven through from a different perspective. A nice easy find, and a novel container, thanks.
