After twice trying to re-hide this cache , we were both times confronted by a very cranky snake at WP2. With our and other cachers safety in mind we have decided to archive this hide. As it got quite a few fav points we will try to resurrect this type of hide again in a safer area
Very disappointed......have been to GZ a couple of times. Looking forward to your new hide. Thanks!
Well this one was an unexpected adventure on a humid, if cloudy, spring day! We completed a nearby cache and realized that this multi started opposite - so off we headed to bag us a cache. Excellent multi - but track along the River - we don't think so. There was a track through the very high reeds until WP 1, but after that it was vaguely follow our noses and the fences and watch our feet for slithery things as well! We most probably strayed onto private land but it was easier to go through gates and electric fences than try to find a way through the six foot high grass and reeds. Loved all the waypoints along the (long) way and extricated the log successfully. SL at 12.10pm and retraced our beaten path through the grasses. The only muggles we encountered had four legs and ran away from us! See the attached photo for a taste of how the grass has grown since May this year. #1862 TFTC and the scratches and the electrifying bits RoJenTil
We originally tried this one a few months ago but had to wade through flood water that came up over the knees. We did locate WP1 that day and have been excited at the prospect of returning ever since. Today we started again and were soon at Gz After having a great, dry, walk in. We stopped a few times to admire a different part of the river or some other feature and had a close encounter with a black snake at one point.

Out for a squirt on the bike to Huon hill thought will knock off a few caches. A great little adventure .TFTC
Nice day to get out and about so picked a couple of close to home caches to fill in the time.
Wasn't sure of what to make of wpt 1 when I first but soon had an idea. Bit more of a stroll round the track scaring half a dozen cows at each corner. Really does look quite different from when I used to fish the area, very much overgrown to what I remember.
Really liked the novelty of this one. Have done a couple of similar ones in the past and good to see someone using the idea around here. Well done on the good hide.

Was on my way to another cache doing the clean up from the mega and didn't reach it so hit the stop navigation button on the gps and saw this interesting cache pop up. Upon further investigation I had already walked right past it in my quest so it was decided to go and see if I could not add it to the collection of completed caches and after the walk back to where WP1 was it was soon found and the required components completed at this way point it was back down the trail again to the second point of interest on this quest after obtaining the necessary information at this location it was around to the wonderfully constructed GZ to retrieve the log. This would have to be one of the best caches I have completed to date and apart from the wonderful engineering in the Fred6603 caches this would be the best thought out cache I seen so far.
Your wonderful little adventure occured on my 176 day of continuous caching and brought my count of caches to 650 found.
Thanks RoJenTil for this ingenious delivery of a multi and truly deserving of a fav point

An Amazing cache, the thought and effort that has gone into this cache is sensational.
Has got a Fav Point from us, a top cache, put this one on the "TO DO" list.

What A clever little multi, I had the pushy in the back of the car so covered the distance quickly in the fading light this evening. Love the work that has gone into placing this cache, I too will give it a favourite point. SL Thanks RoJenTil.
# 373. Seeing Purpledreamer and I were the first to visit this cache (visit, not find) I decided to have another go after the Flash Mob Event in Yackandandah today. Being such a cold, windy day I hoped the snakes would be hibernating. Still wasn't very happy trekking through all the long grass on my own though. WP 1 was repeated as didn't keep the coordinates last time. A long trek into WP2 only to find heaps of campers on the other side of the river. Oh well, wasn't coming back a third time so plod on. A long trek back out of their sight to do what was required and tramp back to finish it off. I did LIKE this one very much. This was a really fun cache to do but I certainly wouldn't try it in the hot summer months. It has a really snakey feel about it. It gets a favourite from me. TNLNSL Thanks RoJenTil
What an amazing multi!! And I bet you've got that heaps of times in the previous logs.
A great deal of work put into this one, all cleverly done, and a pleasant walk along the river too.
Pity only one fave tick can be given. Sully1 and I enjoyed this immensely om our slow drive back to Ballarat/Melbourne, thanks RoJenTil

You're to be congratulated for the effort and planning put into this cache. A credit to you. I have seen similar before, so completing it was easy enough. Enjoyed the walk too, a pleasant 18 degrees with the sun shining. Found with bogonghazy enroute south to our home towns after OzMega. He was on fire today with his cache spotting, and quickly had this one logged. Thanks again to RoJenTil,
making this one a favourite.
making this one a favourite.
Found 13:25, in the company of Muzza during a day of caching together whilst attending the OZ Mega event. This would have to be one of the best caches we did all day
TNLN, CSI=4, thanks RoJenTil.

Found while out caching with Biggles Bear during the Oz Mega 2012 Cache event. We enjoyed this cache a lot and walked in anticipation of what we knew was likely to be ahead. And it didn't disappoint. I've done a few like this, and this one was equal to the best. It gets a favourite from me.
My thanks to RoJenTil for the cache.

Came by with Haveanez today as we both hadn't done this multi to date, and we were both looking forward to it has we had heard it was a good one. Haven't been down this trail since I was looking for a spot to place my cache 'Geotalk and Geowalk', so it was good to revisit it. Once at WP1, we soon realised what the cache would entail, and whilst I have seen a few of these before...and have one ready to be published myself up in Newcastle, we both commented that it was a good idea for this area. We headed to WP2, and being the Easter weekend, there were plenty of campers on the other of creek. They didn't take any notice of us, so we got down to business. A few minutes later and we had the cache in hand. This is a great little multi, and it was well done indeed.

3695th total find at around 11:09
We have discovered that it is far easier to cache the mega with a two car convoy. There is a much greater navigational success and it is far easier to park.
Thi cache is definitely our favourite for the day, a really well done cache.
Thanks RoJenTil for the cache, and please accept our apologies for "boilerplate logs" this week. Caching during the day and socialising at night leaves little time to do real justice to each cache log.

With the red ribbon having been cut to officially open the OzMega, during the previous night's entertainment, we were fired up to collect some more smillies.
"SWEET" !! What else can we say? We thoroughly enjoyed the riverside walk and the cache is brilliant. The only disappointment is not being able to give more than one favourite point.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt RoJenTil.

Found on a splendid autumn afternoon knocking off a few close to home caches. Enjoyed the thought and effort that went into this one with GZ being exceptional. Thanks for the multi Rojentil a favourite point from us:)
#2550 After a 26km hike last Saturday, we thought a 650m walk was very doable for us on this gorgeous autumn day. The track has been slashed to a point but the grass is pretty long and we actually felt a little dwarfed in places by the reeds. The GeoPrincess came up with the goods at WP1, Dad at WP2 and the Queen at GZ so it was a combined find . We really enjoyed this one and the effort gone into it, we're adding it to our favourites. Our thanks to RoJenTil for a lovely stroll by the river - an apt cache name indeed (....if only we brought some aero guard with us ). Cheers
All ready to go now the river has dropped a bit. I have made WP2 more secure so it won't be lost to the next flood. Hope you enjoy this cache.
Just had a quick look at river level and cache cut off by flood water. Will check all points when water drops.
After reading Betty Boo and Purpledreamers post we decided to wait to a day that may be less snake activity. The heavens opened this morning dumping 10mls of rain so we decided to give it a go. We had been down here before but didn't venture far as it was hot and overgrown. Some parts had you walking through knee high grass and we ended up covered in grass seeds but the cache was well worth it. Without giving too much away and spoiling it for others this was a fun cache to do. We enjoyed all waypoints, what a clever way to do a multi. This is definately a fav of ours. Thanks RojenTil for a fun afternoon walk.
Surprised to get the FTF on this one, and from what I can tell a bit fortunate by the looks. Really enjoyed doing this one and it is a cleverly crafted cache. Nice little walk to GZ in a beautiful spot! Gets a favourite tick. TFTC and well done RojenTil. Ps. After reading the notes posted it would be remiss of me not to warn fellow cachers of creepy crawlies, I saw and heard a couple.

Was out and about grabbing a few caches with BettyBoo when I remembered this one published yesterday and suggested that we check to see if the FTF had gone as we where just 5 ks from it.So I checked and no logs yet,so off we spead after that FTF!! All was going well we found WP1 which looked very interesting once we opened the container.Anyway we headed of towards the next point and it wasnt long before there was a brown snake on the path my little dog just stepping over it like it was a log or something,me however was in major freak out mode and BettyBoo just wandering what all the screaming was about.Trying to run from a snake and almost falling down on it as you had forgotten that you cant run as you have a dodgy leg isnt fun! From now on I might stay clear of your caches RoJenTil LOL, at least this one wasnt anaconda size.
Thanks anyway guys it was a lovely area and walk until that point.

I hope the FTF liked that we cleared the way of snakes!! As PD says all was going well: a nice easy find to start, a nice shady, wide track with no close vegetation. We were both being vigilant PD on the left me on the right, geodaschund meandering along. The next thing I hear a couple of piercing screams from the Dreamer and wonder what she is up to. She was distressed to say the least of it. I think she has a snake phobia or something........... She was NOT impressed with sighting 2 snakes in a few days of caching. We wandered a little further and then decided discretion and retreat was the best course of attack today. After all we both want to live to cache another day...
