We started our beautiful journey through the South Island in Christchurch. Here we went on a big sightseeing tour and visited lots of caches. We then travelled via Lake Tapeko, Dansey Pass and Moeraki to Dunedin for the MEGA event. In Dunedin we visited the MEGA events and together with many other cachers we found many caches around Dunedin. A few days later, we travelled on through the Catlins to the southernmost part of Bluff. We then visited Te Anau and the tourist town of Queenstown. In Wanaka we went on another sightseeing tour until we reached the west coast via the Haast Pass. We hiked to Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glacier. We continued along the west coast up to Westport, stopping at various sights along the way. Richmond and Nelson, the sunniest cities, were also on our list.A few days later we reached the east coast again in the wine region of Picton and Blenheim. After a few days, we travelled back to Christchurch via Kaikoura. We visited many geological sites, completed many adventure cahes and found many caches along the way.We travelled almost 3500 km and had so many great experiences. Many thanks to all the ownersTeam sissifalke
A day out and about with our youngest son. Tftc . A bit dicey for access in our not for wheel drive haha
Today we decided to do the loop around Lake Aviemore and also walked up the Deep Stream Track. We managed to find 27 caches though had a couple of DNFs.This was the first as we went round the lake in an anti clockwise leaving from Otematata. Found after a bit of a search TFTCTim and Viv - ddm
#5.597Quick stop along the view with stunning views on the lake. So we also walked the few meters to get to the cache. Thanks for bringing us here.TFTC says team mastba from Hamburg/Germany
Down doing another test between CHCH and Lindis Pass Summit. Parked up and walked down to this one, a good opportunity to stop and stretch the legs a bit. Was also keen to grab, as it ticks off another South Island minute challenge.
All was good, really nice day today than the other day when I came through. Thanks for the placement!
TFTC erninz, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 3 today, making this find #4216

Decided to claim this cache for the end of 2022. Arrived this morning but muggles were parked where I needed to go, so I left and decided to come back when the wind was blowing. Sure enough it was blowing when I arrived and the muggles were long gone. Drove down the terrible road and parked my car only to find a muggle is here on his bike. Buggar!! Far enough away I gravitate to the cache site and found what I came for. Decided to sit on the shore to cool down after a horrendous hot day in the sun. What I didn't expect was the cyclist muggle deciding to strip off not far from where I was sitting. Feeling slightly uncomfortable and on my own I headed straight to the car and got the hell out of there. Then up the terrible hill. But my car was stuck in the pot holes and loose gravel and I wasn't going anywhere fast. I lock my doors backed down the hill and floor it out of there. My poor geo car bouncing all over the place. I recommend not to take that route down to the cache site. Glad to get out of there! TFTC erninz
Left the van at the road as didn't like the look of the road down. Got half way to find no pen so traipsed back. A bit of a breeze but all quiet.
Pre-warned about the sudden appearance of the entrance by one of the earlier logs, I gave myself a bit more time to find it and luckily the road is quiet today. Took some photos of the rocks in the water after signing, then went on my way. Not blowing today, the water was quite still. TFTC
I spotted the entrance so slammed on the brakes and down I went. Like the previous cacher there was nothing in the obvious spot despite a suspect rock. So I emptied out another mint tin as a temporary replacement - hope thats ok with you erninz. TFTC # 17,220
Back and forth a few times before we found the access point. Miss 11 found the obvious hiding spot, but just no box there.
In Kurow for the long weekend and today's geoadventure started off with a walk up Kurow Hill. Plenty of snow on the hills but a beautiful winter's day and hardly a cloud in the sky! First mission completed so now to head to Otemetata. A nice quick find here once I found the road to get down TFTC
Decided to make a trip to Duntroon over the Dansey Pass. Lots of logs to find and sign and this one was one of them. Day and it begins again. TFTC

22016 Traveling through New Zealand to see nice people and places. Also to find some geocaches.
Today we went from Mount Cook to Dunedin. First, because it was sunny now, we visted the surrounding of mount Cook and the Tasman glacier. Then we drove alone and there were many caches along the road like the mighty oaks taril and many others, but a lot of them were on spots where I did not like to park a car. It were also to many to do them all, so we randomly stopped where it was safe and went for a search.
In Dunedin there are several Y2000 caches, and these we like specialy to visit. The Jasmer challenge is still not full..

Had the opportunity for a long weekend in the area, was great to be back picking up unfound caches and some new ones. Many thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches. My apologies for the generic logging!
Found while on a weekend leave pass with Karma Reprint, heading up and down the Waitaki Valley with a few bike rides and wanders on the way. Raced past, u-turn, bump bump bump, jump, hunt, sign log, u-turn, off we go. Cheers
First find in a new day. Managed to drive pretty close, Then made a quick find. Cheers
Off on a caching weekend with Kiwi Moose, to the Waitaki and slightly beyond. Great weather, great place to be, great company, and more than a few little plastic boxes.
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

On a mission from Rolleston to Tekapo, Twizel, Omarama, Kurow, Waimate and home again. Found over 100 caches, which was the goal for the day. A bit drizzly for a start but beautiful sunshine through the Mackenzie. Thanks to all the CO's and apologies for the cut and paste.
Detoured down the Waitaki after a trip up the Ahuriri to convert a few more green boxes into smiley faces.
Found on our 25 day New Zealand South Island holiday.
Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.
Stayed in Oamaru for the night and left for Twizel today

This cache was one of 350 found on a short trip back to New Zealand, which was principally organised so that I could attend my Great Grandmother's 100th birthday.
I have a great time and enjoyed a great variety of caches, most of which were new (ie published in the past couple of years ).
Thanks for all the great caches.

This cache was one of approx. 350 found on a 5 day road trip with Moneydork who was on a brief visit to New Zealand.
We enjoyed a variety of caches in an area that stretched between Christchurch Dunedin and Pukaki.
Bitsprayer was with us today.
Thanks to the many people who have hidden and maintained the caches.

First day of two days trip from Christchurch to Invercargill via Cromwell. Cache 46 of 72 today. This is part of my challenge to find as many 'minutes' for a 400-minute challenge cache, with most caches being straightforward finds. Thanks for the cache.
Over shot the turn off easy to miss and not to friendly on the car log soaked could sign had no paper to replace sorry
Used this area to stop for some lunch - wow the wind does come up quick, unfortunately the log book was too wet to write in. But thanks for the cache.
A cold, Autumn day and sure enough we found the smiley. Found with Aoraki Sheep and Woody104.

Windy spot here today, no sign of any wind surfers though. Quick find.
Found on a round up in the area with DebsNZ and Aoraki Sheep.

Missed the first entrance but came across another entrance further along the road. Found with Woody104 and debsnz.
Grossest hunt I have had for a long time. Had a look under a pile of likely looking stones, only to find a pile of fresh sh@. This was less than 1m from the actual cache. The piles of toilet paper should give away the fact that this is NOT a good spot for a cache...
Easy one we found the best way to pull off the road. Not so windy today but have seen much more wind in the past.
Nice spot by the willows. Gary demonstrated fine reversing skills down the dirt road
A short walk along the shore had us at some likely willows. On the lake several yachties were enjoying a fresh breeze. I wondered if, as erninz suggested, we were actually in Canterbury.
Plenty of wind about today, a few yachts on the water but didn't see any windsurfers. An easy find in a beautiful spot. Cheers erninz
We risked driving down to the lakeside, hoping we would get back up. A short walk alongside the well filled lake took us to the cache which was a quick easy find, although with the water only a metre below. Maybe the name should be changed to Almost Washed Away. And we got back up to the road. TFTC
Great fishing spot and we managed to snaffle the cache in spite of muggles picnicing. TFTC
Enjoyed the visit to another interesting spot as we made our way down the valley.

This was extra interesting stop for us as we found a really large antler, amazing caching souvenir but I doubt we can take it back to Oz. tftc
Been past here so many times and never been down to the lake. Nice hide TFTC.
Parked up on the side of the highway and walked down to GZ. Cache soon found and signed. Have driven past many times and seen windsurfers enjoying the windy conditions. TFTC
A really nice location and I drove along the dirt track and had my lunch at site. What a wonderful day to be out geocaching. SL TFTC
