Found by The Boofs while out on a walk TFTC ??. GPS has me going in circles for a while!!
Third time lucky - my phone GPS goes to poop under tree cover, so today I took a friend who's on a different network. Bit slippery underfoot due to the dry grass, but still scenic and a place I like to go walking.TFTC
Heading out to do a certain puzzle cache this was a short side detour. The prize was soon spotted and took a lot to get the lid off only to find no log then a look at the ground to see the secondary container and log. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Another day out with the JAMS team primarily to host our first CITO at Mt Barker summit. We had time for a few caches and Adventure Labs on our way, then when the CITO was finished we headed to Lobethal and surrounds. The day started out cold but the rain held off until the afternoon when we stopped for some lunch. By the time we had finished lunch the rain had stopped so we were able to find a few more caches before heading home.
The last time I was up here I was by myself and I wasn't going to tackle this one then. Today I had allister w to help. Cool cache.

Very cool cache box. Apart from the spiky plants around....really nice spot. Thanks!
My partner offered to go with me for a walk this afternoon, and I had designs on this summit for quite some time. This was made more prominent by the recent multi placed here, and the subsequent online solve. We arrived just before 2 and commenced our finds on the hill.
I had wandered down the path on the western side of the summit, and made a cunning 25m diversion right to the cache. Remnants of the old container lay strewn , the new container resting effortlessly under the fire equipment. Paper a little wet, signed and returned, put a little camo over top to prevent direct access of rain.
Thanks for the cache Breaker Bros, nice work here. Find #7100 at 2.58pm

I was a little worried by the terrain rating given the recent rains but it was an easy cache to get to.
Neat work but the log is a little wet.

I’ve come from the summit, so I’ll get extinguished on the way back up if anything. Precovid there’s was an annual Lions “fun run” from Keith Stephenson Park to the summit - first 9km were flat, the last km was the undoing of most competitors my age. I only attempted it once.
At GZ I found pieces of an old cache, and a newer cache below the novelty item, so I’m assuming that as the log I need to sign.
Think: fire preparedness at all times!!
Now back to the car … thanks Firesafe.

Sunny skies this morning so I was keen to get out the house and make the most of it before the afternoon change rolls in.
I targeted the Mt Barker area which has plenty of unfound caches on my map.
My first visit to the summit. Thoroughly enjoyable walking around here in the sun.

Lovely walk, although steep. The container is broken, the note pad is wet. Left a small container. TFTC
Finally found it, coords are a bit off for us. Unfortunately it needs maintenance badly, all wet, container is entirely shattered. TFTC House of Jones
Very badly in need of replacing, log is soaking wet and container is completely shattered. Needs an overhaul.
Bit off the coords, made it more fun to find.
Great little cache, made me laugh

Definitely not used to bush caches, I sort of walked in a straight line to GZ and gathered some nice cuts and bruises along the way. Once at the co-ords, a search of what felt like an hour (it was 10 minutes) came up nothing, so I let the GPS settle while expanding my search. Climbed a few fallen trees, cut myself a few more times before passed logs helped me with what I was looking for at least.
At last I remembered my GPS and I was about 10 metres away this whole time!
Headed towards and a smile came across my face as I found it. As per previous logs, the actual cache doesn't fit in the container which was a shame, but a nice view and a great story to share nonetheless.

With only two of the puzzled animals available on our usual wednesday wanderings an attempt was made by a Rat and an Adder to get a few more smilies in our other group members area. As previously mentioned the container needs some TLC. The lid was prised open but the newer log container is too large and the fixing cradle has been damaged and is no longer usable. Thankyou for the cache Breaker_bros. found 2 December 2020 13:09
Two Geo Animals ventured out for a Wednesday Wander.

Came for a walk with a group after a breakfast event in Mt Barker. Container is outside larger container, but all safe and dry. TFTC
Unstable wet ground, rocks and bastard bushes... i can see why now this one is 4-star T rating!
I earnt every one of those stars today with scratches and blood-letting ha ha [I'll live]
It was worth it coz i eventually found the booty and was soon SL at 10:00 on Thu 6 Feb 2020

I have had a couple of older caches near Mt Barker summit on the agenda for awhile. This was one of them. Finally got around to finding today. Both are certainly showing their age but holding up well considering. TFTC
Went the long way in and found a few prickle bushes. The cache container was outside the cache itself. I couldn’t screw it open. TFTC
Continued along the track from the previous cache to this one then detoured off the track, found the extinguisher on the ground next to the cache, I tried to put it back in its holder but I couldn’t get it to fit, cache is all good though.
A last minute plan to go and cache for the afternoon, it was a matter of where ever the next cache takes me sort of day, although that changed and the plan than turned to mt barker summit. I was restricted by time as I had to be back into the city for David wazza and Jess wriggly’s post wedding event. Overall a great day out exploring the hanforf and mt barker region, a total of 26 finds.
Thanks for the cache.

The downhill scramble was compensated with some great views.
Despite our best efforts neither upsanddowns or myself could not unscrew cache hide, so the log container was left as found, on the ground. still in good condition.

Found at 16:53 during a little outing on my own. What a lovely quiet, cool place to sit.

Parked near the aerial, which was howling like a jet in the extremely windy conditions, and after a bit of a wander found this once nice set-up.

With the multiple events that were in or near(ish) to Murray Bridge, Laighside Legends suggested a day of caching in between said events. It was a nice early start, though all be it slightly damp one as we picked up a few caches through Bridgewater and the outskirts of Murray Bridge before arriving at the CITO at the opposite end of town. This was an interesting little place that I had not yet visited, and subsequently had plenty of caches to find, including a much sought-after DT combination. It was then onto Murray Bridge, for some reason I felt slightly at home hear, for some more caches and another event. After more socialising, Laighside, PhoenixFlare, Sue of 2y’stassies and myself head south to Ferries McDonal Cp to clean up the caches down there before finally heading to Laighside’s event in Langhorne Creek. This was a nice pub to end the days caching at, a cosy environment with quality food and good company made for a good ending for todays events.

Really nice spot for hiding a cache ! We love the location and we will be back with a better weather conditions.

Wow. Was “encouraged” down the hill from the CITO by other previous finders and Phoenix flare was happy to help so we did. Very cool cache. Brought along a new log with waterproofing as by reading the logs it needed some help. Bumped into Mitchell and Hound who managed to open the container which was suffering the effects of rust. Hope this one can keep on going.
Found whilst cleaning up Mount Barker summit for the CITO. Took the long way around and some unnecessary bush bashing before making the find. Great cache and suspected what it would be. Unfortunately we had expected to be able to find the logbook and contents inside, but looks like a replacement cache and logbook has been placed alongside, which I guess works. Many thanks! Great views from the top!
No need to usr an extinguished today as misty rain and cool. Climbed d i wn from the top with 3LG. TFTC
Whether it was smart or not to go with a cold to a CITO in intermittent drizzle remains to be seen. However, Owl turned up and searched the summit diligently for trash, which was remarkably elusive apart from some plastic boxes filled with paper trash and an odd collection of toy-like things. They have been dealt with appropriately. This one may have survived as Owl managed to persuade others to retrieve it for her.
After attending a CITO event this morning, some of us headed down the slope to look for this cache. Reasonably accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Breaker_bros for the cache,
We wandered down the hill and after a little hunting around we found the extinguisher. It was tricky to get into and whilst were at it we were joined by Phoenixflare and spidermonkey. Sail managed to get the container open but alas the log was rusted mush. Luckily spidermonkey was armed with a log book and waterproof container. So we all signed that and the extinguisher was returned with the new log book/container wedged behind. TFTC and adventure
Bit of bush bashing but got there in one piece. Great cache. Gave it a fav point. Was pretty tight and hard to get open. Unfortunately once I did get it open the logbook was unreadable let alone singable. Such a good cache though TFTC
I decided to drag dad out caching on Christmas Day (he didn't mind as he enjoys the walk). I found the container but despite dad and I both trying we could not open it. It just would not move so I don’t feel I can log it as found. I also think I took the worst possible route to the cache (in a long skirt (bad idea)) so I am now covered in scratches from the various logs, trees, and spiky bushes. I will try again another day. Cool container though.
Found the cache however it was broken off of its stand and lying on the floor with pieces on the ground. May need to be fixed. Breaker_bros. 88
Today, with a friend & our dogs we walked the summit trail...while my friend held our four legged companions I took the quick steepish (is that even a word )slope down to find the cache...an cool idea for a container but it needs some TLC, it's a bit damp & rusty...someone had placed a card in there so I signed that...

After an overnight journey to South Australia, I met up with The Tritonz and Jacko83 for a 3 day hiking and yakking caching adventure around Adelaide and its surrounds. During our brief time in this beautiful city, the weather was perfect, the caches we found ranged from easy park and grabs to extreme terrain scrambles, hikes and paddles. Most importantly we had an absolutely amazing time, saw some incredible sites and found some awesome caches.
Thanks Geocacher's of Adelaide!
We made our way down from the car park to GZ. A bit of a hunt around and well what do you know .. very appropriate and creative cache hide. Log was a bit water damaged but we managed to get our names on the log.

As part of a small team consisting of Quasar3671 and Jacko83 we made plans to attack Adelaide for particular caches, mainly focusing on attractive D/T and this cache being one of them. As we were going past this cache we had to stop by and check it out, it was a bit of a scramble down the hill, but worth it for this cool cache.
Thanks Breaker_bros for the fun creative cache.

found while out for the day with getnict. After going to the top of the summit we started on the caches going down. Took a steeper path then necessary going down and found a nicely themed cache but the log was soaked and going moldy. The prickles bushes will keep the muggles at bay.
Unfortunately we didn't read previous logs til after we found the cache. There is no log book in this one.

Great cache container, but log book is soaked and disintegrated - hence unable to sign. Was going to put a Maintenance log in but noticed owners havent been online for 4 years. As previously mentioned, is someone local able to adopt/fix this cache?
*Found whilst House Sitting in Nairne*...
Log book is completely ruined. Took at photo at GZ. If the next finder has a log book then maybe they could drop one in?

This was 4 out of 4 for today as I cleaned up this area. Took a while to find the cache as it was quite prickly around here but then it stood out. Log book and inside of the container ruined. No way I was able to write. Got photo to prove it so that'll have to do. TNLN. Cheers.
A great find, but needs some attention - log book was too wet to write in- can understand why after all the recent rains!
Found after a short search as our GPSr was wandering a little. Agree with other comments that this cache needs a little TLC. Log was wet and unusable. A nice idea for a hide though, and a little larger than we expected. Thanks Breaker bros.
A clever cache container worth the favourite points. The next time someone is up there a new log book is needed. We are not placing a maintenance notice as the cache owners have not been on site since 2013. It would be a shame if this cache was archived. Perhaps a local could adopt this one. SL TFTC
Found it completely destroyed, cache contents everywhere, log destroyed by water. Deffinantly needs maintenance
Mili, Jesse and mum, with James and Lizzie. Funny find. Strange object in a bush setting.
Out for a drive and walk with Mr and Mrs Froghoppin.

On our trip today to Hahndorf we enjoyed being 'back in Germany' again. It was so funny to experience how the world sees us. Even if it was a bit stereotype Bavarian we had much fun and found some caches in the nearby area. From the summit we had a nice view and found the cache without any problems. Thanks. Greetings from Germany.
