Back down to Tooradin today to drop off the keys that we needed for the fireworks event on Saturday night. Might be a while before I get back to this are so a cache or two might be fitting.
Looks gone to me, CO needs to check but has been inactive since March 2012.
Thanks for placing this cache kimbersuprise

Your cache was looked for by Team BAMBI (Bushfire, Aussie M&M, mogni and brisal5 incognito) as part of the Melbourne Mega Event weekend. BAMBI to save space in the logs. Like the Melbourne event, this weekend was planned for months prior with more puzzles solved than we could possibly find the caches for in just 3 days. We thank all the C/Os and Event committee for making this a wonderful weekend for us. [^]
After spending the morning at the event we headed out to try and get the C.F. caches that we didn't get yesterday and any others that we just happened to be passing. Not much left at GZ appears there has been some work here and the cache has been buried or removed in the process Thanks for the search anyway kimbersuprise.

We agree we the other recent visitors. Seems the cache shelter has been demolished.
Sadly area has been bulldozed - no find - wonder if cache has been buried under a metre of dirt ?
This may need maintenance - area has been bulldozed or update to say cache still there
This was to be a quick visit! It's 10 degrees outside but with the wind across the empty paddocks it felt a lot colder. There is evidence that everything here has been ploughed recently including along the edge of the road. We found number of the items the clues suggest but no joy with finding a cache. The cold got the better of us though, we didn't persevere for long.
Found on our way down to Wonthaggi for the Easter weekend. The fields either side of the road are resting at the moment so it looks pretty baron but I imagine it would look very lush at other times of the year when crops are growing.
TFTC and Happy Easter.

Nice cache in the quiet country. Take note of the wheat growing up to the roads edge along here.

We headed out to explore nearby today but with the high heat and humidity we didn't get too far. Fun day to be out in the air conditioning.

Heading home from Phillip Island and decided to avoid Koo Wee Rup os I was on the road near this cache so took the short detour to get here. With the GPSr counting down it was really looking like a case of "where do you hide a cache in the middle of a paddock?" but once I'd parked I soon had the cache in hand. The log is still completely sodden and I couldn't sign it, so I left another piece of paper with my signature but it will be just as soggy as the log! This really needs a more waterproof container. Thanks to kimbersprise for the cache.
Cache very wet

This area has had a clean up. A quick find. Waiting patiently for asparagus season. TFTC
With tassie expat. Felt a little exposed getting it though. Log a bit damp but tftc.
Quick find, but what was that furry Grey thing with a long tail that snuck out past my fingers while extracting the container
Thought we were heading up someone's driveway, but turned out to be a road with a cache waiting for us in the sunshine on a beautiful day. TNLN. SL. TFTC.
The last find for us today after a good days caching. This is our 28th find of the day found on our return journey to Wonthaggi. TFTC
Find #115
I like these kinds of areas as they give me as much time as I need to search for a cache and this was a very quick find. My way back to Pakenham was not so quick as I thought I would take a shortcut, which sadly it was not.
Thanks for the cache

TFTC. Only wildlife we saw this morning was a lizard! (And lots of flies!!).
Another quick grab as we drove through the area. No swaps in there at the moment and log a bit damp but the eagle we saw made it all worthwhile. TFTC kimbersuprise

En route to Wonthaggi for the Pre New Year Events, we made a slight detour along the way for a little cache. It was the wrong time of day for any bandicoot sightings, but we did get very close to a couple of cereal crops.
TNLN .. . . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt kimbersuprise.

Still doing a cache a day the only problem is the distance required to do it.
Thanks kimbersurprise for the hide,

Out for some cup day caching with BorisB&Natasha. What a nice peaceful area to place a cache. Quick find and we were on our way. Thanks Kimbersuprise for the cache and for bringing us here.

Out caching with Nut bear on this beautiful sunny Cup Day. This one was a nice easy find in a very open area. Fortunately I don't think this road gets much traffic. TFTC

Found on a flying visit to pickup Granma from Grantville. What a strange area for wildlife - it looks very desolate to me. A small wet detour from the high way TFTC
Found at 19:30 - A caching run in the Cranbourne area resulted in 15 finds and 5 DNF for the day. My best Caching day to date . Intersting cache to finish my day. GPS took me down the wrong road . GZ was totally exposed checked the clue and cache was logged and returned within 3 minutes

out for a cache day with Lozgur and this was a nice little side trip to start it off.
Talk about in the middle of NO WHERE but we found it - very sml cache. And yes you feel like your driving down some ones drive way.
Wasn't hard to find, the road looked like a farm driveway. No wild life to be seen. TFTC.
Ive been driving past this road for years without knowing what was down there. Now I know. Its really nice to find a place this peaceful.
No wildlife out today, actually nothing around. A quick find. Thanks for the cache.
Thank u so much for giving me a cache truly worth finding. It was lovely to come to a spot so beautiful and peaceful on a perfect day with my dogs. Such an easy cache is rare with everywhere so overpopulated. Hope this place has the same beauty and peace for many years. Deserves a favourite point for sure

First thought it had been plowed up. Nearly left but found it in time. Great hide.
A nice easy find. The place was deserted except for a paraglider flying to the south. SL TFTC
Found while on my way to Frankston for a job. When I arrived at gz there where 2 tractor with seeder behind them. So I took a photo. Sl thanks for the cache.

Ahh yes , spring has finally arrived and the days are getting longer.... Spring is the best time to cache and so not wanting to waste a day team up once again with best mate ahomburg for a run along the east side of western port and the surrounding country roads zig-zagging our way to Lang Lang before heading back. Have cache along this route before but not that far off the HWY so it was fun exploring these back roads.
The area looks alot different to the satellite map and on approach there was some digging happening which looked like it may of been close to GZ but it turn out to be at least 300m away. So a great drive-by but GZ is quite exposed and I hope this one lasts.

Well, it is the first day of September and the first day of spring and oh what a day, so SedgwickDave and I were headed to Cannons Creek, then zig zagging east towards Lang Lang for our traditional weekend cache run.
We arrived to this one, a massive open field, we passed a guy in a massive tractor ploughing the field. Arrived at GZ and quickly made the find in an obvious spot.
Thanks to kimbersuprise for the cache.

Another TDC (The Demolition Crew) run with my caching mates Quasar3671 and TrailRunning. This run took us out to the SE suburbs, and area I was very familiar with having lived in SE suburbs before moving to the country. Not huge numbers, but some good caches and as always a lot of talk, jokes and just fun in general. Nice quick find here. TFTC.
As 5 pm ticked over I was ready to race out the door at work for another great night of caching with the TDC (Quasar3671, Blacklegend & myself). The run had us in an area well known to one of the TDC members, but we were still able to pick up some newly published caches for him too. It started through the south east of Melbourne down to Caldermeade and then looped back to Karkarook Park, where I left the guys to try their hand at Wherigo caching. We had a fun night all round and with the rain holding off for the night.
Quick find on a quick run to the island TFTC

The last time we were here there was all manner of machinery tearing up the place, but today it was an easy find as the area is deserted and is going to weeds again.

Thought it may be gone. Because of the earth works. But I can assure you that it is still there
First of 39 (ish) on a Wonthaggi Event run.. A big day, and unfortunately with these big days alot of finds blur into each other, and with soo many to log I must appologise for the copy and paste logging which I do a little too often at times like these.. Thanks Shogun for the assistance to avoid muggle attention and speed up the find.. Thanks Kimbersurprise. Find #2652
Not so much a DNF, more so a "Did Not Try" on this cache this morning. Once turning into the road we were confronted by one very big digger cleaning out the irrigation channels in the area. All the vegetation in that road has been cleared away except for one tiny little bit where we suspect the cache may be hidden. Could not check as the foreman's ute was parked right at the possible GZ. Also noticed an interesting 4 track tractor that was levelling and grading all the surrounding paddocks, maybe in time for planting season. You may want to check it out asap?
Being cooped up the last few days with lousy weather we thought that we would take the opportunity today to get out and pick up a few local caches that even though they are so close to home we never seem to find time to look for them. Although this is not far from work we have never visited here before. The area looks strange as you pull in but it looks like it may be earmarked for another sub division, looking at the white markers and the Telstra box not far up the road. if this is so then we fear for the Southern Brown Bandicoot. We saw no wild life today, just a lot of water laying around the sticky swamp mud. The cache was a nice easy find and our name is now in the log.
Thanks for the cache Kimbersurprise.

Found with Hearse068. What a strange place no fences feels like private property. Didn't get to see any wildlife. Made a quick find SL and replaced. TFTC
Found with Gonefishen07 on our way to Casey Fields to watch GIS sports. This was a quick find and sign as we felt a bit funny here. Interesting farmland it was good to stop and have a look rather than just drive on past. SL TFTC
Another nice drive by, driving out to this location felt like something out of a science fiction movie, nice spot, TNLN, SL, TFTC.
Out to find a cache to fill in the calendar and this was the one that was earmarked. I drove up to the cache feeling like I had entered another world once I had turned onto the road. Cache was found in the very first place that I looked. I left the GZ only to find I had a hitchhiker flying around the car, lucky for me the mozzie wasn't interested in sucking any blood today. TFTC kimbersurprise.
Couldn't help feel that we were driving on private property but it is a road and a quick find and we were off to the next TFTC kimbersuprise TNLN SL
We found this cache today at 3:25pm as the 12th of 21 on our Western Port North afternoon run. We thought that we were going to visit someone on the way to this cache but we thankfully stopped well short. Thanks from D & HA B-A.
First find of the day. I like this road, it makes me feel safe for some reason. Thanks for the cache kimbersurprise!
Found by Mary & David at 1020. Thought we were in Italy with those rows of poplars. Would the farmer notice if we borrowed a load of that wonderful black soil? Saw 4 parachutists peacefully floating down. Our thanks to kimbersuprise.
As per stated in the cache description, this was an easy park and grab. Had a confrontation with a white ute bearing muggle, so wittingly whipped out the phone and conversed with self. Nice alien landscaped. Thanks for the cache! Xo
Found @ 3:55pm, find # 1243.
While in the area I had a look for this one.
Arrived at GZ and had a look around and spotted something that I had to take a look at, I was then signing the log.

I saw the cache published the night before but home alone with the kids prevented me from going out for tthe night. Checked again this morning and no logs so on the off chance it was still unfound, I planned to take the boys on a little trip to Tooradin and have some lunch on the forshore.
We arrived at GZ and it was preety cool driving up to the cache. With no fence on one side of the road it was like we were driving right through the middle of a paddock. The boys got out of the car and I read the clue to them and off they went to find the hide. It didn't take them too long, a STF and we signed the log and the boys took a balloon, which gave them hours of fun for the rest of the day.
We then got some fish and chips and had them at the park on the foreshore and then we played for an hour or so on the playground. A great little afternoon trip.
Thanks kimbersurprise.

Third to find after C@H and Qasar. Going down to Phillip Island for the Weekend
*FTF* I needed a cache for the 17th of Feb to fill in a day I have not cache on my Calender. I was also under instructions not to go out to get a cache. I even got a message from Kellyhuants when this was published saying "Don't you dare". After I got to the log book I sent Kellyhuants a picture of my name in the logbook . It was great to have a cache I could park along side since using crutches to move around is slow after my late night caching accident the night before. Thanks to a good hint I parked right near GZ for a quick find. TFTC
